Also, Tatcha's The Essence, Nars Sheer Glow, Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow liquid shadows, Herbivore Lapis Facial Oil, Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Toner, Shiseido Pureness Mattifying Moisturizer, Touch in Sol Metallic Foil Lipstick in Maria, Rainforst of the Sea Concealer, and using the Sweet Peach pallette as face powders. Jessica Angela Every night put on heavy duty thick cream. It will take care of the textured skin. Your skins dehydrated. You have to be consistent though. Guarantee it'll work.

I found that a thick night cream actually makes it worse. it clogs my pores and I get more texture. I use a face oil on top of a regular moisturizer at night to get the extra hydration and that's been helping. also I exfoliate with a gentle exfoliating option (like a face brush) once daily. if I skip days the texture gets worse

Saying they are racist because they only sell light and medium shades is ridiculous. They are serving their current market. Is Etude House racist for only selling 2 shades of B.B. cream? Light and extra light? No. They are supplying their market.

We can't understand what it's like to be in the shoes of a POC and witnessing a popular brand deliberately ignore you. The issue has been brought up many times but they refuse to change. '50 shades of beige' isn't a dig at white people in general, and if you're upset by that then you need to take a good look at yourself and figure out why you're so sensitive to something that doesn't affect you. And this article wasn't written to build up another brand or anyone else - it was criticizing the ethics of the company, which is almost never a bad thing because that's how you bring change.

I have fair-light skin and am a POC, but I understand makeup can be very divisive and non-inclusive of deeper skintones. It's no secret that a lot of brands cater to a ton of light skintones with maybe one dark shade (which Almay doesn't even do). Marc Jacobs Remarcable is my HG that I still use/buy, but if you look at the shade range, there's not a lot to choose from if you're over maybe NC40. I also own two Almay products. You don't need to boycott the brand but atm you're siding with them because you feel hurt that you're part of the "50 shades of beige," when it's not about us as we have plenty of makeup options.
Don't know if anyone noticed but if you look at the Jeffrey star beauty killer palette and the palette she reviewed the colors are almost identical except the one she reviewed had more colors.
I have a problem with some powders taking away coverage from my foundation too, especially with translucent powders. I usually use the Mac Studio Fix powder and that works great.
I may have to try the butter blush, very soft. I love blushes!!! The best part of watching you try new things and review is then being bold and trying them myself!!! You are the best.
I think she is referencing the fact that Almy doesn't have any shades for darker women/women of color and their slogan is "The American Look." This sort of leads to the conclusion that anyone that isnt light skinned doesn't have the "American Look" I also found that a former slogan would have mislead consumers to believe their products were made in america but actually weren't.
I finally bought the stargazer powder this month and I love it! I've had a lot of issues with powders causing major creasing under my eyes and this one doesn't do that. so thankful you recommended it.

I am super fair too and it is hard to find products that are not too pigmented and blend well. It seems like products can look patchy on fair skin so much quicker. I also have purchased every essence eyeshadow to use as a highlight that I heard you mention, they are amazing. I wore apricotta today and I have been obsessed with snowflake. I just enjoy watching your videos and you never steer me wrong with recommendations.

I love how thorough your videos are! my favorite of the month is is new nyx epic ink lip dye, by using a small amount my lips stay stained a nice hue of red all day, I can wear my choice of red lipstick over it and not worry about it fading badly because my lips are stained by the nyx epic ink.
I bought the NYX foundation purely because the two palest shades are the closest matches to my skin tone, of any brand. you do have to use more then 4 drops for full coverage, but I don't mind that because I conceal everything underneath, and just use the foundation to even everything out.
I'm not sure what all problems you have with deodorant, but for me, I will wear one for about a week and it will not work for me at all anymore! But that ONE deodorant you mentioned has been my holy grail for about a year now and continues to work for me. I've tried the other scents and the other coloured labeled ones, but only the pink works for me! So glad I'm not the only one it works for.
The covergirl ready set gorgeous foundation is a HUGE fav of mine! But the concealer from the same line is a little hit or miss for me, some days it looks super patchy and dry but other days it looks amazing!
that used to happen to me all the time with powders taking away the coverage of my foundation. I recommend using a very soft synthetic brush to apply the powder and try to press it in vs swiping it. I've been using the real techniques big powder brush and it's the best thing I've ever used! I used to use the elf flawless face powder brush and it was a little too scratchy/blunt cut so it didn't work as well. hope that helps!

you might like the shade jiffy from colourpop, it's like a pinky nude but it isn't too pink, and it is an ultra satin, but for some reason it has better staying power than most of the ultra satins.
The powder thing happens to me too. No one really talks about it... I do notice that it will happen moreso on textured areas, even if I apply the powder with a slightly damp sponge.
I ended up trying the Nyx foundation after searching it in Ulta and ended up loving it! It's a perfect shade match for me and I love the consistency. I can see how it could be too matte for some people even with oily skin, but for me I like it to be as matte as possible so I don't have to worry about it throughout the day
I honestly love the sweet peach pallete I mostly use the shade Georgia for my lid , just peachy in my outer v and crease, summer yum outer v and crease , Bellini with fix plus on middle of my lid , blend it all out and throw white peach on the inner corner and brow bone paired with a white liner on my water line I feel like that combo just looks amazing with me and my pale skin and pink hair haha idk it's like my signature look , love the pallete
I hated the Nyx foundation too but then to get my money's worth i mixed it with my Revlon Colorstay and it actually was a good combo. Made the colorstay look less dry and cakey.
I am one of the few people that love the NYX drops foundation. I use about half a dropper full for my full face. I don't like full coverage those. This gives me medium coverage. I also love the sweet peach. So easy to do a quick look. It doesn't smell like peaches though.
That deodorant works really well! I have been using it for a long time and it works perfectly. No dryness, stains, keeps odour away, ... Here in Belgium the brand is called Rexona. I don't think they will be discontinuing one of the scents, because I have been using the deodorant for years and there haven't been any changes recently, at least not here. T have you ever tried any skin care from Lush? would you consider doing a Lush haul and try some of their skin care/ face masks. They have some amazing skin care for acne prone skin.
I'm glad I'm not the only person that has that problem with powder, it makes me feel like I'm imagining things! I don't even think it's an acne thing specifically (although it does happen on those areas too)...where I notice it most is my undereye/cheekbone area. It's really strange!
Hey, Taylor! You said you're looking for a good subtle highlight. One thing I've been doing for the last few months is using the "Transforming Pearl" shade from my It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty palette. If you don't have the palette, the shadows are really great quality in my opinion, and using the transforming pearl shade as a highlight just brings my makeup to life.
Have you ever tried the L'oreal Hydra Perfecte loose powder? I could not find a powder that didn't make my face look super dry and flaky and textured so I decided to try it on a whim. I will say the scent is kind of strong in the packaging. It's kind of an old lady's rosey perfume scent which initially worried me about it, but it is an AMAZING powder. Goes on air light, leaves a soft kind of blurring finish to the skin and the smell goes away pretty quickly. It keeps my face pretty matte all day, although I have combination skin, not oily skin. It's now my holy grail powder and I never hear anyone talk about it! I think it's one of those hidden drugstore products.

I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and I had just started to try foundation a little more often, so I love how it's sheer and I can mix it in with my moisturizer (I have no idea if you're supposed to). Even though you didn't like it, thank you for doing a review on it, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it.
So I got the dermacol foundation in 208- still a tad to yellow for me but that shit is amazing! The coverage is out of this world and holds up even without primer! I have acne prone oily/dry skin! Love this stuff! Thanks for the recommendation!

Not sure if you're opposed to it for any reason or not, but swatches of some of the items you talked about would be super helpful. I feel like just looking at things in the pan can be misleading or underwhelming, but swatches against a skin tone can make me more convinced it's a product I'd want to try.

I'm not sure what all problems you have with deodorant, but for me, I will wear one for about a week and it will not work for me at all anymore! But that ONE deodorant you mentioned has been my holy grail for about a year now and continues to work for me. I've tried the other scents and the other coloured labeled ones, but only the pink works for me! So glad I'm not the only one it works for.
I love the clean powder for normal skin, it's in a brown compact. I actually think it's one of the highest coverage powders at the drugstore!

The covergirl ready set gorgeous foundation is a HUGE fav of mine! But the concealer from the same line is a little hit or miss for me, some days it looks super patchy and dry but other days it looks amazing!

that used to happen to me all the time with powders taking away the coverage of my foundation. I recommend using a very soft synthetic brush to apply the powder and try to press it in vs swiping it. I've been using the real techniques big powder brush and it's the best thing I've ever used! I used to use the elf flawless face powder brush and it was a little too scratchy/blunt cut so it didn't work as well. hope that helps!

you might like the shade jiffy from colourpop, it's like a pinky nude but it isn't too pink, and it is an ultra satin, but for some reason it has better staying power than most of the ultra satins.

The powder thing happens to me too. No one really talks about it... I do notice that it will happen moreso on textured areas, even if I apply the powder with a slightly damp sponge.

I ended up trying the Nyx foundation after searching it in Ulta and ended up loving it! It's a perfect shade match for me and I love the consistency. I can see how it could be too matte for some people even with oily skin, but for me I like it to be as matte as possible so I don't have to worry about it throughout the day

I honestly love the sweet peach pallete I mostly use the shade Georgia for my lid , just peachy in my outer v and crease, summer yum outer v and crease , Bellini with fix plus on middle of my lid , blend it all out and throw white peach on the inner corner and brow bone paired with a white liner on my water line I feel like that combo just looks amazing with me and my pale skin and pink hair haha idk it's like my signature look , love the pallete

I hated the Nyx foundation too but then to get my money's worth i mixed it with my Revlon Colorstay and it actually was a good combo. Made the colorstay look less dry and cakey.
To me the peach palette smells like peach-flavored hookah tobacco - yuck, but I actually love the shades in it.

I am one of the few people that love the NYX drops foundation. I use about half a dropper full for my full face. I don't like full coverage those. This gives me medium coverage. I also love the sweet peach. So easy to do a quick look. It doesn't smell like peaches though.

That deodorant works really well! I have been using it for a long time and it works perfectly. No dryness, stains, keeps odour away, ... Here in Belgium the brand is called Rexona. I don't think they will be discontinuing one of the scents, because I have been using the deodorant for years and there haven't been any changes recently, at least not here. I'm glad I'm not the only person that has that problem with powder, it makes me feel like I'm imagining things! I don't even think it's an acne thing specifically (although it does happen on those areas too)...where I notice it most is my undereye/cheekbone area. It's really strange!

One thing I've been doing for the last few months is using the "Transforming Pearl" shade from my It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty palette. If you don't have the palette, the shadows are really great quality in my opinion, and using the transforming pearl shade as a highlight just brings my makeup to life.
Have you ever tried the L'oreal Hydra Perfecte loose powder? I could not find a powder that didn't make my face look super dry and flaky and textured so I decided to try it on a whim. I will say the scent is kind of strong in the packaging. It's kind of an old lady's rosey perfume scent which initially worried me about it, but it is an AMAZING powder. Goes on air light, leaves a soft kind of blurring finish to the skin and the smell goes away pretty quickly. It keeps my face pretty matte all day, although I have combination skin, not oily skin. It's now my holy grail powder and I never hear anyone talk about it! I think it's one of those hidden drugstore products.

I just got the NYX foundation drops and I personally love them. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and I had just started to try foundation a little more often, so I love how it's sheer and I can mix it in with my moisturizer (I have no idea if you're supposed to). Even though you didn't like it, thank you for doing a review on it, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it.

So I got the dermacol foundation in 208- still a tad to yellow for me but that shit is amazing! The coverage is out of this world and holds up even without primer! I have acne prone oily/dry skin! Love this stuff! Thanks for the recommendation!

I have the gold primer and it's pretty good. I like it although it has a perfumy smell.
Not sure if you're opposed to it for any reason or not, but swatches of some of the items you talked about would be super helpful. I feel like just looking at things in the pan can be misleading or underwhelming, but swatches against a skin tone can make me more convinced it's a product I'd want to try.
