You were the first YT channel that I started watching just last year, and it has been so exciting to watch you succeed. I am 54 and one of the best tips I received from you is the Essence eye shadow Snowflake used as a high lighter.Since I am older with pale skin, it is perfect for just a hint of shimmer. I have also been using an eye lash serum to help mine grow back, and I have had great success with it. (I ;lost a lot of my hair, eyelashes, eyebrows etc with my health issues). I don't believe I would have had the confidence to use this product if I had not been watching your videos. Thanks SO much, and I cannot wait to see what will happen to you in the new year!!

Me too! Struggle to love my pale skin but living in Asia (where pale skin is glorified and considered attractive) taught me that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and i better focus on using tons of sunscreen to protect my pale skin rather than ruin it with sunbathe to get a tan that's gonna be gone in a few weeks

I've literally tried like half of your looks that you've put on shadow& shmooze and omg you've just made me more adventurous with my makeup. Carpet on the walls as well as floors or heavy drapes will work similarly. Just need some soft yet dense stuff to soak up some of the sound bouncing around.
I think the first few ingredients in the Dermacol foundation are paraffin and I'm guessing that's a wax. So that's probably why it breaks you out. There are waxes in most stick foundations too that's why they're not the best for acne prone skin. Thanks for the awesome video, I love hearing about people's favorite products.
Hey Taylor, before you replace your mic, ask around some music types about sound proofing a room - you may not need to replace it, but change other things in the space. There are a lot of blogs on this too. Heck, I have used egg crate on the walls and old blankets. A pop filter may help too. Lots of luck - congrats on the new space and happy new year!
Emily Rachel Gilley Yes. So true. Soundproofing is really the problem and not the mic. There is soundproofing foam that she can buy to muffle the echo.
It does sound like there's a lot of echo, so some sound-absorbing materials would probably help. I do hear a general hum too, though. Regardless - congrats on the new space, Taylor!

Gad to hear I am not alone with the inability to bake with translucent powders! I dunno wtf the issue is, no matter what products I try or what I use to apply it, my bake always looks horrible. I have tried sooooo many times. Some of your 2016 fans are the same as those I reach for most often. 1548 is THE FIRST red I love! I have to line my lips when I wear it, luckily I found a liner close in shade in my collection. I have worn it by itself, with a topper, with a gloss, with duo chrome/metallic shadow on top... looks awesome every time! I need to order back ups!

Watching this, I've realized how many products I've purchased because of your recommendation. The dermocol and tarte rainforest of the sea are now my holy grail foundations. I don't ever not use the tarte shape tape. The it cosmetics powder, and the stargazer powder. Love them all.

I just tried the Fiona Stiles sheer sculpting palette and it is the most perfect contour for us pale girls! I am super happy with the Fiona Stiles illuminate foundation, you should deff check out her line it is amazing, but that contour palette is so so perfect!

Taylor, I've always had a huge issue with my under eye dark circles since 6th grade when a boy I liked pointed it out. I've been self conscious and worried that a man would never find me attractive because of it so I always wear makeup when I leave the house. my dark circles are hereditary so there's not a whole lot I can do about it. just this year, I started really feeling okay with the skin I'm in. I'm still not comfortable going a whole day out somewhere without makeup on, but I'll run to the store or drive thru without makeup, so baby steps right? seeing you on here with your acne and talking so naturally like its nothing and you aren't ashamed of it really makes me feel so comfortable with myself. it truly is inspiring and I feel as I am watching your videos like we're both sitting on the bed, no makeup on, and not even noticing or caring what we look like. it's a great feeling. I want to thank you because most youtubers I see or beauty gurus on here that have no skin imperfections that try to takes about hiding imperfections bothers me because I feel like they haven't gone through the same things. I bought the white essence eye shadow for my inner corner based on your recommendation and it's so beautiful! I use it close to everyday. I also have been using the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara for a year or so & keep a back up on hand always! I have Tarte Shape Tape in Fair & Light Neutral & love them for daily use. Perfect for fair skin! Maybelline has some new nude lipsticks I saw today on a display w/ lip liners in CVS. Please try them and review them for us! Other favorites of mine that you didn't mention are the LORAC Alter Ego Lipsticks, LORAC highlighters, UD eye primer potions & 24/7 glide on eye liner, UD Naked Basics Palette, BECCA under eye brightener (not sure of the name), L'Oreal matte foundation (red squeeze tube), NYX Stay Matte setting spray, NYX Angel Veil Primer, Benefit POREfessional primer, $6 elf blush palette. thataylaa ....question for you.... would you use a lighter color of dermacol as a concealer? Or highlighter rather? I LOVE that stuff. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong with it because it looks a bit weird on my face or it just feels heavy? (Accentuates my pores or something) Maybe I'm using too much of it? Just thought I'd ask the foundation expert! LOL
I use the Hourglass dim light powder as a bronzer. You can make it really subtle or build it up. It gives a nice warmth to the face without looking orange!
I love the new office filming set up! I noticed a wee bit of an echo, but nothing major. I purchased the Cover Girl BB thingie after seeing your review on it and absolutely LOVE IT. I wear it every day. I also use the It Cosmetics powder foundation to set, but I switch between the illumination one and the regular one. The Better Than Sex mascara is also my go-to mascara. I'm so happy and excited for you with your liquid lipstick! Unfortunately, I don't think that is a color I can pull off.

Tarte hit the motherl-oad when they created the Shape Tape concealer. It seems to work on every type of skin type! Thank you for another year of fabulous recommendations! My favorite makeup products of 2016 would have to include the It Cosmetics Illuminating CC cream, the Hard Candy Hydrating Primer Spray, the duo-chrome highlighter trend and finally learning how to put on falsies without glueing my eye shut :)

I just wanted to let you know that I've been suffering from cystic acne for awhile and I found out I have a sensitivity to bismuth oxychloride and it's been the cause of my acne 😣. it's Mainly in powder, blush and some eyeshadows. just wanted to pass the news along . happy new year!!!

My mom bought me the wet n wild highlight in precious petals. It was too dark and I was crushed but I mixed it with essence snow flake and its perfect! So if you have a highlighter that you love but it's too dark for me the essence snow flake eyeshadow really helps lighten it

You dont have to buy a New mic. Buy foam and place it on The cealing. that absorbs The eco and makes The audio quality so much better.

Gad to hear I am not alone with the inability to bake with translucent powders! I dunno wtf the issue is, no matter what products I try or what I use to apply it, my bake always looks horrible. I have tried sooooo many times. Some of your 2016 fans are the same as those I reach for most often. 1548 is THE FIRST red I love! I have to line my lips when I wear it, luckily I found a liner close in shade in my collection. I have worn it by itself, with a topper, with a gloss, with duo chrome/metallic shadow on top... looks awesome every time! I need to order back ups!
I love that you're always trying out new products that no one ever gives credit to or talks about. I swear I've watched like 15 best of 2016 videos (which were all wonderful) but yours by far has the most variety of different products or brands that no one ever mentions! Watching this, I've realized how many products I've purchased because of your recommendation. The dermocol and tarte rainforest of the sea are now my holy grail foundations. I don't ever not use the tarte shape tape. The it cosmetics powder, and the stargazer powder. Love them all.

You give so much great information, consider other skin tones (besides your own,) and get right to the point. All things I love. I just tried the Fiona Stiles sheer sculpting palette and it is the most perfect contour for us pale girls! I am super happy with the Fiona Stiles illuminate foundation, you should deff check out her line it is amazing, but that contour palette is so so perfect!

Taylor, I've always had a huge issue with my under eye dark circles since 6th grade when a boy I liked pointed it out. I've been self conscious and worried that a man would never find me attractive because of it so I always wear makeup when I leave the house. my dark circles are hereditary so there's not a whole lot I can do about it. just this year, I started really feeling okay with the skin I'm in. I'm still not comfortable going a whole day out somewhere without makeup on, but I'll run to the store or drive thru without makeup, so baby steps right? seeing you on here with your acne and talking so naturally like its nothing and you aren't ashamed of it really makes me feel so comfortable with myself. it truly is inspiring and I feel as I am watching your videos like we're both sitting on the bed, no makeup on, and not even noticing or caring what we look like. it's a great feeling. I want to thank you because most youtubers I see or beauty gurus on here that have no skin imperfections that try to takes about hiding imperfections bothers me because I feel like they haven't gone through the same things. I would love to have naturally perfect akin, I'd probably never wear as much makeup as I do. but I just wanted to thank you for your appreciation of us and for your overwhelmingly contagious confidence that rubs off on everyone else. you're doing it right, Taylor!

LOVE the lighting and colour! The green looks great contrasting with the white and your dark hair (loving 1548 here too 💋) also makes your eyes look so much brighter . There is a bit of an echo but nothing super annoying ☺️💋❤️

I bought the white essence eye shadow for my inner corner based on your recommendation and it's so beautiful! I use it close to everyday. I also have been using the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara for a year or so & keep a back up on hand always! I have Tarte Shape Tape in Fair & Light Neutral & love them for daily use. Perfect for fair skin! Maybelline has some new nude lipsticks I saw today on a display w/ lip liners in CVS. Please try them and review them for us! Other favorites of mine that you didn't mention are the LORAC Alter Ego Lipsticks, LORAC highlighters, UD eye primer potions & 24/7 glide on eye liner, UD Naked Basics Palette, BECCA under eye brightener (not sure of the name), L'Oreal matte foundation (red squeeze tube), NYX Stay Matte setting spray, NYX Angel Veil Primer, Benefit POREfessional primer, $6 elf blush palette. Hope to try in the New Year: Too Faced Sweet Peach highlighter palette, RCMA no color powder, Sigma brushes, many others of course! Happy New Year!

Dermacol is definitely one of my favorites! The set up looks good, except for the buzzing sound.

thataylaa ....question for you.... would you use a lighter color of dermacol as a concealer? Or highlighter rather? I LOVE that stuff. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong with it because it looks a bit weird on my face or it just feels heavy? (Accentuates my pores or something) Maybe I'm using too much of it? Just thought I'd ask the foundation expert! LOL
I use the Hourglass dim light powder as a bronzer. You can make it really subtle or build it up. It gives a nice warmth to the face without looking orange!
I love the new office filming set up! I noticed a wee bit of an echo, but nothing major. I purchased the Cover Girl BB thingie after seeing your review on it and absolutely LOVE IT. I wear it every day. I also use the It Cosmetics powder foundation to set, but I switch between the illumination one and the regular one. The Better Than Sex mascara is also my go-to mascara. I'm so happy and excited for you with your liquid lipstick! Unfortunately, I don't think that is a color I can pull off.

Tarte hit the motherl-oad when they created the Shape Tape concealer. It seems to work on every type of skin type! Thank you for another year of fabulous recommendations! My favorite makeup products of 2016 would have to include the It Cosmetics Illuminating CC cream, the Hard Candy Hydrating Primer Spray, the duo-chrome highlighter trend and finally learning how to put on falsies without glueing my eye shut :)

I just wanted to let you know that I've been suffering from cystic acne for awhile and I found out I have a sensitivity to bismuth oxychloride and it's been the cause of my acne 😣. it's Mainly in powder, blush and some eyeshadows. just wanted to pass the news along . happy new year!!!

My mom bought me the wet n wild highlight in precious petals. It was too dark and I was crushed but I mixed it with essence snow flake and its perfect! So if you have a highlighter that you love but it's too dark for me the essence snow flake eyeshadow really helps lighten it
