Hey Perry, I’m about to start my Solar/Windows and gutter cleaning and I wanted to bring a suggestion for you which is basically get some door hangers type of Ads and leave at the door when there’s nobody at home. As soon as the homeowners gets home they will see something there and you can work on your copywriting on the door hangers to get them interested to give you a call or even schedule right after. Success to you!

Doesn’t Matter. You think it’s better but then at 4pm you have a lot of ppl running around for kids dinner etc. you treat every door equally. It’s a numbers game
Try a flat rate per window like $9.99 per window that includes glass, frames and sills and as an extra bonus throw in the outer part of the gutter or maybe the front wall siding to give the house a bit of cashmere. $9.99 sounds a LOT better than $120 dollars or $250 dollars. Small price tag- BIG value = more sales. IN the mind of the consumer, they are hearing $9.99 easy pill. Just try it for a day and see how that works? Curious to see any results.
Hey bud, I’ve enjoyed watching your journey and your have inspired me to stope working for someone and be self employed!! Question, are you washing windows mostly with water fed pole? And with that technique how many homes can you average in a day???
Hitting the doors today myself here in AZ. No experience in cleaning windows, but did my home (two story) a few times and feeling good with the squeegees. Quick question for ya- I’m nervous to go into peoples homes and clean interior. I installed residential internet for a while, and people’s homes can be such a MESS inside, especially around windows. Couches, tables, desks, beds, expensive shelves full of breakables, etc. How do you deal with windows inside that are hard to get to? Also, ever had to deal with customers following you around watching you clean or trying to talk your ear off while you’re focusing on work? Lol
Tell customers to move furniture and nic nacs away from windows and have blinds up. I have had very few customer decide to do only outside because of this, but I'd rather just do outside than have to move around all their stuff. And as for customers that follow you and talk , put some headphones in and maybe they will take the hint. Lol
3 options; 1. dont do it, focus more on outside so you can get more houses cleaned, 2. interior only for nice houses where usually its not a mess inside, 3. deal with it if you really want to make a buck.
No I didn’t not, I have taken a lot of courses with Real Estate when I was a Broker. That mixed with my window cleaning history has definitely helped out!
