Middle Tennessee here. Definitely appreciate the video. I’ve taken a lot of tips. Starting my company right now. Just got all my equipment from WCR and getting ready to roll. Pretty nervous but stuff like this helps a lot!
It’s super cool to see someone who had a similar experience to me. I started with some basic squeegees from Lowe’s at 15yrs old. What I've found that helps alot is they sell mops that u soap windows with that have a part of it that u can scrub with helps so much vs having to put it up to use a different tool. Great video though. Also they sell battery powered vacuums for vehicles work great for window sills and saves from bringing out an extension coord.

Hello, I have a question. I would like to know what a window cleaner in the USA earns per hour net. It doesn't have to be an exact figure, just a range to. In Germany we charge 40-50 € plus VAT and travel costs.
When you start squeezing the window pane you should always go back over the spot where you first started that will get rid of the drag marks you left when you first started.
If you detail the side you start just down the edge then pull left to right or vise versa depending which side you wiped and you will not have and marks 👊🏼
Maybe try a 4 inch long blade screwdriver with a 1/8 inch wide tip instead of the paint can opener. Some screens are very tight in the frame and the paint can opener is to thick!

@@Puffwindowcleaning so I am fortunate enough right now to have the funds to buy all the equipment needed to get started. (Squeegee up to DI system). I am confident in my ability to sell as I’ve been in sales for 15 plus years. 2500 flyers, 25 calls back on the low end, close out 20 deals, and get started that way etc. thoughts ?

Good vaulable video, But i disagrre with your opinion on door knocking. Maybe I'm a little biased but it is definitely a good way of getting clients. it dosnet have to feel like pestering people if you know what your doing and actually providing value to people
I think it’s fine to knock neighbors doors of a house that you’ve already cleaned, but let’s be honest 99% of people (at least where I live) don’t want a stranger knocking on their door trying to sell them on something. With Facebook, door hangers, and google I think that there are much more effective ways of finding potential clients. To each their own though; if it works then it works 🤙
That thing on your hip you keep calling a bow and the utility belt where can I get that from please help me I have very little money and I’m trying to start this business to better my future for myself and my future family and your videos have been very helpful
How are you paying roughly $80 a month for general liability insurance through NEXT with 1M in coverage along with covering your equipment? I havnt found a quote below $225 a month…
a simple question brother, why let you invest all your time making window cleaning for residential homes and not for commercial premises and commercial shops? Are commercial premises and shopping centers not bringing in a lot of money?
There’s a lot more money in residential. There’s also big money in larger commercial jobs, but these tend to be harder to come by. As far as store front commercial you’re competing against a lot of people who will do the job for bottom dollar. That being said you can still make a ton of money doing commercial store front.
Horizontal sliding windows can often be easily lifted up and out of the frame so you can clean both sides inside the house, just rest it on a thick towel. You need to open the window a little before lifting out.
Good information, it's really a shame that you can't tame your language as a sign of respect for your viewers. Not everyone appreciates the foul language and therefore reduces your watch time and return viewers. Otherwise congrats on your success
Great technique , yes there’s different ways to pull the water off with the squeegee we all have different techniques. Don’t have time to show them all in one video.. working in a tight spot like that with the shrubs what I find helpful is using a shorter pole , like a mini maykker your find a smaller pole workers better especially when you’re up on a porch or on a one story house with low elevation windows, 🪟

Maybe try a 4 inch long blade screwdriver with a 1/8 inch wide tip instead of the paint can opener. Some screens are very tight in the frame and the paint can opener is to thick!

Hello i’m 14 trying to start my window cleaning buisness with my and my friend do you have any tips to get rid of the heavy buildup on windows? and any tips to go door to door? where did you get the buisness cards too?
@@angelmariscal5739 we use fine grade steel wool (#0000) from Home Depot. Some buildup could potentially be hard water stains as well. I recommend getting some door hangers, and you can get business cards from any print shop or office store.
@@Puffwindowcleaning Thanks, do you have any idea on how to actually get door hangers?
@@angelmariscal5739 order them online. Most of information is just a google search away 🤙
Great content. Do water spots come off the exterior window with the DI water and scrub ?
@@me-tx2ws removing hard water stains is considered “window restoration” and is not included in a standard window cleaning. I just explain that to my clients at the end of each job where water stains are present. Hard water stain removal is a great add on service and can usually be removed using this product. windowcleaner.com/products/diamond-magic-stain-remover?sca_ref=3262836.zjpCnDR2Id
@@Puffwindowcleaning so I am fortunate enough right now to have the funds to buy all the equipment needed to get started. (Squeegee up to DI system). After watching your video my knee jerk reaction to getting started is to get all the filings done for the business and hammer out a couple thousand door hangers assuming a 1% call back rate, and continue that cycle until I build a big enough base. I am confident in my ability to sell as I’ve been in sales for 15 plus years. 2500 flyers, 25 calls back on the low end, close out 20 deals, and get started that way etc. thoughts ?
@@me-tx2ws I wanna start by saying I love that you have a plan in place. Weigh the pros and cons of all your options and then make the best play that you think is possible. The best part about being the boss is that you get to do what you think is best for your company. Sounds like you have the drive and one of the most import skills to running a business (sales). Keep me updated on your progress. I’m interested to see how far you’re able to push this thing 🤙

@@Puffwindowcleaning yeah especially for growth i think theirs more effective ways. But its a low cost method and sales is fun.
Great video Man, thank you !

Is there ever tint on the outside that would make it unable to use abrasives?

Is it difficult to detail the 2nd floor with an extension pole ?

How are you paying roughly $80 a month for general liability insurance through NEXT with 1M in coverage along with covering your equipment? I havnt found a quote below $225 a month…
I’m not really sure. It’s likely due to location and other factors, but could be for any number of reasons.
Hi! I have a window cleaning business and use wfp, but I dont clean the frames because if I do they drip. Any tips?
Gotta scrub and rinse the frame to prevent drips
Do you prefer a truck or a van?
@@jeremias250 I have a van, but at some point I’d like to get a truck as well
a simple question brother, why let you invest all your time making window cleaning for residential homes and not for commercial premises and commercial shops? Are commercial premises and shopping centers not bringing in a lot of money?
There’s a lot more money in residential. There’s also big money in larger commercial jobs, but these tend to be harder to come by. As far as store front commercial you’re competing against a lot of people who will do the job for bottom dollar. That being said you can still make a ton of money doing commercial store front.
@@Puffwindowcleaning I now understand well, in commercial premises more competition and low prices
@@hamzasalhi3066 that’s exactly right. Best of luck 🤙
@@Puffwindowcleaning ty vry much boss ! U are source of motivation
Do we need any business cards in the starting?
I’d recommend it, but if funds are super tight you can go without them for your first job or two.
@@Puffwindowcleaning thanks bro! What should I do to convince the customers? And is the washer tanker is required firstly or not ?
@@harpreetdeo4801 I wouldn’t worry so much about convincing people. It’s much easier to find people who are already in need of your services.
what do you do when theres screens on the windows on the second floor?
By using a ladder or removing it from inside the home.
@@Puffwindowcleaning oh ok gotcha! Watch some of you videos today, good stuff 👊👊
@@thedetailbuff1410 thanks for watching 🤙
Horizontal sliding windows can often be easily lifted up and out of the frame so you can clean both sides inside the house, just rest it on a thick towel. You need to open the window a little before lifting out.

Followed this exact guide. Earned $600 so far in just 2 jobs. 2 residential homes. Was a bit under prepared with my equipment for a 3 story home but I still got out there and went after it 🧼🧽. Thanks Puff!
@@mjsower I love to hear that! There’s a lot of learning as you go in the beginning, that’s forsure; especially on a 3 story home! I’m Glad to hear that you were able to pull it off; you got out there, and made something happen. Props to you man and thanks for watching 🤙
