Hey Todd, big fan of the channel been watching you for the last 2 years. I have a 94 xlt 600 just found out my cranks is a couple mm out of phase will be tearing it down and starting my first wedge project. Really appreciate you And your videos definitely inspired me to take on a full rebuild of this sled.
Sled looks just beautiful Todd.. for me the orange water manifold and heads look mint. Once pipes and clutch all that installed will look just right. Keep us posted, maybe video on Sunday ! Good luck guyz . Goals are not to high, get r done. Cheers
Can’t wait to see Jason done and ripping. My personal opinion on the manifold is to stay with the orange. With the black filler neck on top and all the other black under the hood I think it would look awesome!
I'm doing T day this afternoon, but locking up the beer fridge until my sleds are ready and the snow blowers are on the tractors this weekend. You can do it, makin' smoke by Sunday!
Happy Thanksgiving guys!! 🍻 I vote black for the water manifold How about some black nuts for the heads? getting some colour into the clutches-primary outside cover, secondary windage plate orange? Thanks for explaining the fibreglass process to us! Kick some butt in the shop this weekend guys!!!!!
Haven’t watched you in a couple years since I took a break from the sleds, glad to see you’re still loving the triples lol. That turbo mod looks awesome I can’t wait to see that thing rip. Definitely think you made the right choice with the black manifold.
OG Triple OG, Polaris 650 head and coolant part were both Red. I believe the Storm's were also same color as head's. Take a look and see differences between original color and black. I would stick with original color vs black.
Happy Thanksgiving Todd and fam! The build is lookin good so far. Gunna be killer when finished! I vote black water manifold. Breaks things up nicely and looks sharp too! 🍻🍻❄️
120-220-320 to remove all the old paint, 400 then Prime, Guide coat primer and block with 320, Guide coat again and da all 320 scratches out with 600, Seal, Base, Clear That’s how I do my hoods and nose cones
Happy Thanksgiving Todd! Had someone rent my ATVs for the weekend. I asked them on Monday if they were sure. They said "it'll be fine". They got to their destination in the mountains and after a few hours he called and said they were bringing them back as they got stuck in 2 feet of snow. Unfortunately, I don't have my sleds ready for rental yet. 😂
Looking great guys! Do you use a filter system to keep the water the compressor creates out of your paint gun? I'd like to try painting instead of paying someone to do it but my compressor seems to build a lot of water vapor. Also the 88-98 wedge hoods are Metton plastic. The 80-87 hoods were fiberglass. A lot of guys try to repair the metton hoods with fiberglass and it just doesn't work very well. Most guys use a automotive flexible bumper repair epoxy to fix metton plastic.
@@thepolarisguy great info. Yeah I use the term fiberglass in general. Filter system is a must and a designated air hose after that filter just for painting. Never ever gets hooked up to the air system anywhere else
Happy Thanksgiving! What is turn around time from Northern Crank usually for you? Do they also replate cylinders? Nice work on the sleds, love watching the videos. Makes me want to start on another project too!
Hey todd beautiful sleds you have an watched your channel for years. I'm currently restoring my 94 polaris rxl 650 extended track. Who would you recommend for re appulstering a seat?
Hey Todd I've been thinking for a couple years now about selling my red xcr 800 triple trying to think of a price is the hardest part I'm thinking 1500 or best offer it's a 99 give me a thumbs up if you think that's a decent price too start at

Where do you paint? Do you have a pop up paint booth for your shop?
