Just a little comparison between eBay clear tails, OEM 240SX tails, and JDM Type-X Tails.

I say clear bro, JDM never cought my eye ,the stock 240 back lights is what got Me to like that model.
Yeah stock 240 was always better the type x is almost like trying to look like a skyline or something

I've got a backlog of footage too. But sometimes I have a tendency to publish multiple videos over the period of two days. Lol, I suck at building up subscriber anticipation.

This helped a lot. I didn't know the type x lower trim piece had a slight difference for the usdm lower trim piece.
The fabric covering the license plate looked like a pair of old undies. Good explanation of tail lights!

JDM Type-X tails looks good dude
I like the JDM type x tails for the hatches but I like my stock tail lights on my 89' s13 240sx coupe with a silvia front end conversion. Sick vid man.
This video was actually very helpful and has saved me a lot of time for the future(was gonna get the JDM type X taillights)

"Clear" ones look better, the red looks more vibrant and contrasts better with the car. If the "JDM" ones were given a good polish they'd look alright too but it's too similar to a Datsun/Skyline for my liking haha

Good to mention, that the clear lights have much worse light distribution, than the stock ones, as well as the turn signals on the clears are almost invisible in bright sunlight.
The last note, you might don't know is, that in Europe only those outer red lamps are used as the tail lights. Inner lamps are used as rear fog lights (or maybe just the left one, I'm not sure).
the jdm x tails are soo nice, but the new ones you bought are clean as well :)

For me personally its between the jdm type X or tge stock i like the red and orange together but tge jdm lights give it a more modern more aggressive look
clear tales look real slick. I'd maybe put some tint on the bottom just to not cause so much attention though. maybe.

is the 240sx a good first car?? i mean in terms of learning to modify it and also use it as a daily driver? im 16 and im looking for my first car but i also want to work on it in my spare time? what cars would you recommend??
SugarBoi Kyle I think it is. Although the main issue with 240's are the previous owners not taking care of them properly and that's what makes them unreliable. As long as you get one that's been taken care of, or that you fix all at once when you get it, it will be reliable and won't have issues for daily driving. Parts are also cheap for them which makes them good cars to first learn on and modify.
Other cars to consider would be an E30 or an NA Miata or even a Foxbody Mustang. Just a matter of preference, but I like 240's the best haha.

Junyan lights are replicas but personally you'd be better off and saving to get genuine type x lights.
I like type x but too much work haha. Hey if u sand those lights properly and put clear coat on it, U can make it brand new-ish again. And flit then lol

You should focus on the engine and the suspension if u want to drift

Does anyone have any tricks to using a manual on a hill? I keep stalling it and I'm needing to learn it by the end of the week.
use the handbrake, use it to hold you in place until you get your rpms right. do it like a regular start but let the handbrake off as you let the cluthc out. watch some videos on handbrake starts, practice it fuckloads this week. gl

xRam Or you can step on the brake with your right food, and slowly let the clutch out till you see that your rpms start to drop a bit, then you can let go of the brake (You won't start to roll) then just take of as you normaly would.

Whatever car is available at the house to drive. Or I ride my bike or drive this car etc. It's not really a set car.
They aren't 240sx specific, they went right through from 89-97, type x were later better model :)

$2700 for the car, and I'm guessing $1000 to $3000 on top.

no weather stripping glue around the tail lights for leaking?
The clear taillights come preinstalled with foam weather stripping on them. So just unbolt old ones, clean area, bolt new ones on.
its very easy lift the hatch then remove centre piece

cocorecord1 The whole bottom section is scraped flat and has a whole in it from scraping the ground so much lol. But yea it's decent quality and sounds good and it's cheap.
