I must say this is extremely helpful! I just started collecting Pokemon cards! and I want to have a cool set of them!! and as a new collector trying to learn this video is amazing! thank you so much Tim tim! :D
Hi Tim! I found you when I was learning about how to make a Pokémon deck (because I’m just a trader/collector at the moment and wanted to learn to battle) and I love how you are so informative and seem like a great guy! You earned yourself a sub!
this was so fun to be going through all my childhood cards as you were explaining it and finding an ultra rare just as you mention them, thanks for this!
You might have more angle your camera towards the table and display the card on the table or just above it. That way you don't shake so much and can bring the cards into focus easier
Yea I've been trying to do different angles to see what works unfortunately my filming area isnt the easiest to work with😅 someday I'll have a more professional filming room
Thanks so much.:) Love your voice and slow tone….Makes it much easier to pay attention and understand. ^^ I don’t have many cards yet haha but I gotta see if I have at least any uncommon or rare cards…👀 I even have some unopened booster packs that I bought a few months ago lol.
I bought two random packs, one was two random packs to two random sets, and the other was a booster pack for shrouded fable and pulled a secret rare. I didn’t know what it was so this video helped! Haha just getting into collecting pokemon
Thanks! Limitless TCG .com is probably the most accurate site for finding card prices. In my advanced deck building video I go over multiple websites for deck building. There's also tcgplayer .com Hope this helps!😁
If a reverse halo card is a common card (basic pokemon), is that worth the same as the common print version? Update: You just uploaded a video two days ago explaining that while more "rare", it is not worth much more. Thanks! LoL.
What covers are on your rare cards? I am really new and have not even open a pack yet but want to keep my cards safe but don't like how big toploaders are.
The sleeves I use for my cards come from Elite Trainer Boxes. They're a $40 product that comes with sleeves, dice(damage counters), poison and burn, and 8 or 10 packs. You can buy sleeves at Target or Walmart if you don't want to spend $40 on and elite trainer box
Before watching this video I always had to ask my friends it a card was rare. Now I can just know if it is rare. I love your videos keep up the great work😎.
Yea value depends on a lot of different factors. Some of which may just be popularity for a card's design which is subjective and not really measurable.
Awesome i just getting into pokemon tcg when i was a kid i used to play yugioh tcg and play pokemon videogames and just recently try o get back at yugioh but my god is crazy hard with all that new mechanics so im switching to pokemon tcg!
I have two cards that I think are very rare, One is a secret rainbow rare Palkia GX The other Is a gold rare Lana's Fishing Rod I don't actually know if these are rare though..
i just got a Shadow Rider Calyrex VMax from an Astral Radiance pack (cost me €7). It’s a bit shiny with some sort of gold and black thing, and it’s apparently a TG30/TG30. How much is this worth?
My first pack I ever opened was 1 1/2 months ago, i pulled a Latias EX full art card which has 2 shiny stars in the bottom left corner. I do not recall anything mentioned about 2 shiny stars. I also pulled a Noivern Ex full art and it also has 2 shiny stars.. does it make a difference how many stars there are?
Im just starting out collecting. I've pulled a few vmax and v cards. I did pull a gold leaf energy card the other day, still trying to figure out how to tell a V/VMAX card from a full art card and which cards I should focus on for the collection
That's a good start!😁 To tell if it's full art you could either look at set lists online and they'll tell you or you can usually tell it's full art if the art can be seen behind the moves at the bottom. A regular not full art card typically doesn't have the art go behind the moves. Hope that helps👍
Thank u so much!!! I just found out I had a ultra rare reverse holo Dedenne!!! (I don’t know if it’s ultra rare or secret rare because the card has full art)
How would you evaluate the dragon cards that come from the dragon Vault expansion since they don't have any symbol? They are all holographic but I'd like to know if they are considered more rare than other rare card. Thank you very much
I know this video is old but I have a fennekin card that says it's 8/39, copyright 2013, but it doesn't have a symbol showing if it's a common or not. Is this normal?
@@TrainerTim1 I actually got it from my local vintage stock and they normally check if it's fake. Besides the symbol it doesn't have any of the other signs of being fake besides a rip test but I don't have enough cards to check.
@@TrainerTim1 well the first Lucario has the things that the poplio had. The things on the art while the 2nd has it's type pictures( the fighting type picture or wtv) on it's print
The holographic lucario is more rare than the reverse holo lucario. Holographic is the one like the popplio card and reverse holo is like the one on the bat card
I have a Castform, Lost Origin set, TG11/30. Can you help me understand what rarity it is? Because it's not even in the checklist for the Lost Origin set. And I have checked extensively. It's a genuine card. Pulled it from one of several legit packs. Trust me, I've checked. A LOT.😂
If you're talking about the one with Cheren, then it's an ultra rare. If you need a place to verify rarity, you can check out tcg player .com That's always my go to.
