- We're back with a brand new Krooked Skateboard Setup for 2020. This time it's the Mark Gonzales x Ray Barbee Pro Model from Krooked. Released in Fall/Winter 2020 for their pro series, Ray Barbee returns to the Krooked team with a brand new deck shape and graphic by legendary artist and skater, Mark Gonzales.
A pioneer within the skateboarding community, Ray Barbee joins Mark Gonzales' Krooked Skateboards at 49 years old. Since the early 80s, Ray Barbee has been one of the most influential skateboarders helping progress the sport to new heights developing his signature flowy style mixed with flatland, freestyle and no comply variations. Not only a skater - Barbee is also an accomplished photographer (check his IG: @R.Barbee) and musician too!

The shape has been awesome thus far. With the extra width its a bit heavier but I've enjoyed the added board control that comes with the width too.

Man, it's been an awesome ride. Now I'm skating a regular popsicle Hockey deck and I miss this thing!
Popsicles are traditional.....too funny! I used to ride skateboards before they added concave to the decks....God I feel old now!

Very nice deck.
I recently purchased my first board in 20 years..yikes! lol The PP Cab 'Ban This' flight deck. I love it. Has a great shape and the og artwork. 32" length and 9.256 wide. Got it complete for really good price.. Came w/ standard core trucks. I purchased some Slime balls mini vomit 54 97a. Great all around board. The core trucks aren't bad but the stock bushings are way too soft. I like my trucks fairly stiff. I put the (medium) hardcore bones bushings but they were too soft as well. Do you think the hard versions will do? Or should i go with something else??

Looks like a Jeff Kendall Street Board Shape. Good board shape.
It's awesome, and you're right! Looks really close to the Kendall decks
What is the width of the deck across the front and back trucks? I know you use Indy 149s but I'm thinking of using wheels with a smaller riding width so might try 159s.
I would recommend 159s with 101a or 99a regular skate wheels. Front width is 9" and back width is 8", measured from edge to edge, right on the center of the truck bolts - Hope that helps!

@@SirMbenchodewala You can run either. I'm currently skating it with 159s because that's what I had previously, but 169s would be better suited to this deck width.

What wheel size?
Hey - I'm skating 58mm wheels on my set up, and I think the size is perfect for this deck. But you could easily skate something smaller like 56 or even 54mm and it would still be good. I wouldn't go any smaller though
Awesome! thanks for the response man i just ordered the ray barbee redux rag doll deck almost same specs as your set up but went with 56mm ricta clouds 92a and indy 169's first wide set up besides my 8.88 santa cruz jaws cruiser
@@SirMbenchodewala You're going to that new wide set up. Ever since I switched to a softer duro wheel and got the extra inch, I'm skating more transition and just pushing around is even fun.
@@brettsnowball yea i have my size 8 trick board and daily the santa cruz cruiser but with slime balls i love it but i want a tail to pop on incase so this will be my all terrain set up
