In the beginning...There was light. Then the tent. Then the exhaust fan, circulation fans, added a humidifier, added a heater then a cooler. I started thinking their must be a better way. Good to see it's out there. The more I learn about growing the more my tent looks like a Frankenstein project...Thanks for posting

I have this. It's a good system but... very expensive for what you get to do with it. Somewhat limited with how you can control devices. It's not possible to have a fan operate to control humidity AND temp as they are different controllers. The data is nice to look at but no way to download it. Im much happier with my AC infinity fan controllers and Pulse Plus for data acquisition. Now I mostly use it to control the LED lights and run a pump. Still pretty over kill for a tent...

Sounds like a good idea. But more like an all in one printer. You are completely dependent on this controller. Also, smart plugs and WiFi devices, Bluetooth thermometer hygrometer, integrated apps, etc, make this obsolete kinda IMO. Still cool idea

People are far behind on those, and use cheap unreliable sensors.

I’ve seen a few but the problem is you become completely dependable on the coders/developers & you also need redundancy and a lot of computer knowledge, kits like troll master are expensive & overkill for small home grow but they are reliable and simple to use compared with homebrew opensource software & Trollmaster is fairy priced compared with the competitors.

The trollmastsr is a great concept but some downsides. The TSH-01 fan speed controller isnt the best and as far as I can see, only does temprature and not humidity. The LED controller is awesome as well. I'd like to see more options where it comes to network configuration. ATM, you just plug the cable in but no manual setup etc. If you're not running DHCP then you can't do networking.

I highly suggest you research SBNV Pinnacle Grow system.. he's in closed beta for it (crushes TrolMaster, because he was so tired of lack of support and innovation he is coding it himself here live often now.. SolventlessBakenVape, he is coding Pinnacle grow system to crush trolmaster)

@@dertythegrower with how cheap hardware has become I'm surprised I've not seen more controllers appear on the market. The trollmaster isn't terrible but the integration between modules ain't great. Not sure what protocol they use or how things are implemented but it's pretty basic. That's why you need all the LCD screens (one for each module). It would be nice to see better integration between modules etc. It's like they've done the bare minimum to get things working. I'll take a look at what SBNV has been up too. His website sucks though lol 50% of pages are broken within Mobile. AC Infinity does a decent job but their stuff is all over USB and proprietary. If people want this stuff to be successful then people are going to have to agree to use a standard. Looks like 0-10v PWM is kind of winning but we will see.

@@420mFuk if he's an experienced systems administrator then the jump into programming this stuff is relatively small. Saying that, there's a big difference between producing something on the bench and turning that prototype into a saleable product. I'd like to see more use of something like Zigbee and loose some of the wiring.

What I hate about all these trollmaster videos is they all just show you the controller and the different sensors and plugs. They then just scroll through the menus on the ECS. They don't show you HOW to attach a light to the LMA adaptors or what actual devices/machines can be used with the different plugs (eg. You need stuff that act in a very binary way - if it has power, it turns on and performs the function... if not, then it shuts off). Eg. Don't use a humidifier plug for a humidifier that when switched on, just sits in waiting when power is supplied, requiring you to press a button to actually turn it on and then another button to start it's function (like most modern electronic appliances). That's all these plug attachments are: Give the device power when certain parameters are met or switch them off at other times. You also need a PHD to understand what to do to setup and program these things and there is a shocking lack of clear instructions or online video demonstrations. Definitely not for a beginner. Not even the local sellers/distributors can provide much help and need to send questions to some representative. AC Infinity seem to have understood this and try to make things that work well together, so there's no hassle. The only downside is the quality of the grow tent itself.
