Too many people get caught up in the most minor parts of the game. They try to get attention by looking at the worst thing possible when it reality the game is awesome and people can’t accept that
People are rightfully ticked off about MTX in a single player game. That's like putting microtransactions in Zelda. How is that an acceptable practice?
@@matthewfairchild3846 it’s not at all acceptable and it shouldn’t be in the game I totally agree with that. However it doesn’t ruin the game I have 50 hours in it already and not once have a wanted to buy anything simply because you find enough throughout the game. The game is fantastic, I’m truly in love, just ignore the microtransactions, you can get everything in the store in game very easily, just play the game and enjoy yourself
Lot of people are saying the only way to edit your character is by paying money which is just not true, but nobody cares to do a single ounce of research. I don't think microtransactions are good but people need to stop acting like this feature is paywalled
Edit: Since a dimwit said I was making excuses I feel the need to clarify that literally no where do I say I think microtransactions are a good practice, I said the exact opposite
You can change your appearance yes.. but race and gender for example you still can't. So it's still kinda crappy since the game also doesn't allow you to start a new character 😂
Outrage is hot.
There shouldn't be a price tag on that feature to begin with.
@@mrromanow3123 You can start a new character, just delete your save file info.

Thank you Javee for being smart and realizing that the criticism of the micro transactions have been blown out of proportion and we need to look at the game for the game especially since the transactions are for stuff you can just get in the game and a few things that would be in the special edition.
Well then, we should talk about game that runs bad, is poorly ported to pc and you can only have one save game in 2024... so yeah, a lot of critisism is valid. Also microtransactions in singleplayer full priced game are just predatory. It is all very sad and a shame because game itself looks to be really good and fun!

Great Game, and the only thing you should buy as a DD fan is the Sound and BGM pack so you can change sound and music to DD1 in options
It's funny that u are the reason I love this franchise so thank u man i loved the first one and now the second
Never played the first one but kinda interested in this, whats the difficulty like?
Well, enemies aren't too hard to beat, but the game heavily relies on preparation before combat.
If you don't have a Mage and don't have enough curatives, you will die. If you don't have fire damage to fight a certain enemy, you will die. If you want to fight a golem, but all your pawns are Sorcerers, you will die.
But on the other side, if you have the correct pieces, you will delete everything.
That kind of difficulty 😅
Somewhat similar to monster hunter in terms of difficulty. But the game is not as skilled base as MH
If you're getting it on PC, I would wait. It's a good game, but if you care about optimization and performance, it needs a lot of work there
Jayvee looking that the chest and just giggling is how you know your watching a guy gaming😂
This game is so much fun, that first Cyclops you battle and you have to destroy the dam to bring the water current, well i got the Cyclops low then climbed up its back and steered it through the boulders your ment to move , it was janky and epic all at the same time , this why im enjoying this game its a rollercoaster.

I'm really enjoying this game so far, I gotta say too, I get the Skyrim comparison but I also feel a little bit of familiarity towards something like Nier (Specifically replicant, not Automata). I think it's mostly in the character interactions and the in town wanderings.
Also Jayvee, if you're interested, you should provide the ID for Abby if you continue this save and let your peeps summon her as you progress, I wouldn't mind summoning her and taking her on adventures to fell mighty beasts :)
I love how they have rook immediately in the water, def a nod to how many poeple started doing that in the first one lmao
Played without microtransactions and it was great regardless. It all came down to skill and how far does your curiosity can go.
Where are these micotransactions? I am like 6+ hours in and have not seen them is it the rift currency?
In the Playstation Store, Microsoft store, there a small handful of items you can buy. Couple of Wakestones, a Portcrystal and some Rift Crystals. You can also buy the Pre-Order set, which includes the Art of Metamorphosis. There isn't that much and I don't think they restock.
You can buy items from the digital storefront, but those items are also easily obtained in game, this whole mtx fiasco are just idiots who saw the microtransactions and got mad even though Capcom have been doing this shit since Re7. I’m not defending the microtransactions, I am just pissed it took people this long to realize it.
@@roachdoggjr1454Oh so it's not one save limited then?

Am I correct that ...if the user's PS5 or Xbox Series X is NOT connected to the Internet ... then installing & playing "Dragon's Dogma 2" should NOT have the MicroTransaction's problem since there is no Internet connection.🙂
The micro transactions aren’t intrusive or required anyway so you should be fine regardless 😊

Not being able to start a new playthrough is a bummer though
@potatoman5953 yeah not having multiple save slots is a horrible decision. On steam I can start over and delete my current save but what if I want to start over for some reason and keep my first save? It is an odd choice.
@@SM-ev6ifprobably something to do with the pawn system. But my head canon is that thats what makes the game unique from other games. One game, one character. isnt that an experience in and of itself?
@@SM-ev6if If you ever played the first game, it has the same thing. I wish they did, but if you think about the Vocations, and the fact that you can change your character by spending 500 rift crystals for a metamorphosis, it doesn't matter about creating a new character. Sure, if you didn't buy the Deluxe Edition, you might have to grind for crystals, but they're easily obtainable and pretty fast too.
I wouldn't say not having multiple characters is a horrible decision because of the Vocation mechanic. Plus, (and this is only a reference) unlike Skyrim, there are only two races and also, unlike Skyrim, you can actually change your race. Skyrim doesn't allow that.

When you actually play the game, you realise that all the foul discussion is just a bunch of noise. It’s really laughable that some people genuinely decided to refund this game simply for having microtransactions, and not necessarily because they were dissatisfied with the game itself. Yes, there’s the performance issues, but it’d probably be fixed soon enough.

But one thing I don't understand is the stockholm syndrome that I see from a lot of people in the comments. But I can't be the judge of that, I don't own the game and most people probably don't mind the grind or just buy the shit.
@@janicnevim3969no listen to people who play the game. There is no grind. Some items like fast travel are designed to be very rare so you only use them when you really need them, and this was the case in the first game as well. They did not compromise the gameplay or the grind, these mtx were clearly mandated by capcom at the last second bc they are some really weird un-important stuff you can find all over.
