@pauldoucette3388 What grade are you in? The Ultimate Warrior was a flash in the pan. Heenan was one of the top managers for about 30 years. Folks that appreciate wrestling history appreciate Bobby Heenan. Overgrown adolescents appreciate the Ultimate Warrior. Guys like Heenan MADE guys like the Ultimate Warrior look great. The Ultimate Warrior never made anyone else look great.
Yeah how bout that? As a kid and a fan you could love warrior and hogan, but when you mature and her some of the wild stories and fucked up stories, you soon realize just how much of a puke those guys were and still seem to be even today.
It always surprises me, the immense respect that Bobby Heenan had for the fans. I don't know why, but I just always assumed that someone THAT knowledgeable about the business, and that has been around for as long as he has, who has seen everything that there is possibly to see, and do everything that can possibly be done, would be tired of fans or interacting with them or dealing with them.
Bobby is one of those guys I would have loved to have talked to. Be was smart and interesting and I'm sure had stories he could tell for days. He was one of the people that made wrestling fun.
Its heartwarming to see that a hated villian like Heenan was such gentlemen tough guys in real life. Testament to their acting talents in this particular business.
It's hard to disagree with Bobby regardless how it makes you feel. He's probably the best worker in history... Yes that includes in the ring traits too. Where his bumping, selling, timing and general charisma with ridiculous heat elevated every guy 10 fold just by being in there with him. Dude was an incredible bumper. When people ask me who's the best ever? I always say Bobby Heenan.
Wait. George the Animal Steele helped produce the interviews? A guy who barely spoke as a wrestler and who's speech was mainly grunts and growls produced interviews? That is epic.
If you ever listen to an out of character interview of George Steele you see he was a very articulate and smart man. I believe he used to be a teacher as well
Made me think of the Anderson Brothers, with Ole as the talker and Gene was an unbalanced lunatic who couldn’t talk. Then later Gene became a manager and was well spoken!
Look I understand now how bad Warrior was in the ring. With some matches as exceptions… As a kid born in 84 Warrior was like a superhero. Larger than life, electric!
He was right about when he said if you join the Hennan family you go straight to the top! He is the greatest wrestling manager of all time! He made so many WWF Superstars famous and won many many championships!
Of course. Don't you remember when the Warrior press slammed Heenan over his head after they cheated at Wrestlemania 5? Lol. Also, he had to fulfill Ravishing's contractual obligations after Rude was suspended indefinitely from the WWE. What resulted was several matches between the Brain & the Warrior in which The Warrior put a Weasel suit on Heenan.
I disagree about Bobby's point about Warrior not learning how to work. He didn't need to, his style and his matches made him a megastar to millions of people across the planet. The only one that came close to toppling Hogan in his prime as the number 1 guy. I remember Summerslam 1992 in the UK, other than Davey Boy winning the title from Bret the Warrior got the loudest pop of the night.
@@PeaceDweller working is knowing how to control the crowd to get the most out of the least. The best wrestlers don't take unnecessary bumps and protect themselves and others. They know how to keep the crowd where they want them. The criticism of the Warrior is that he didn't know what he was doing in the ring. He had tons of charisma but he hit people hard for no reason, didn't know how to set up spots for effect (like the Andre rope spot) and he put people in danger for no reason like dropping Bobby on his head instead of a safe atomic drop. Even running to the ring he'd blow himself up shaking the ropes as hard as he could. Later on he learned to animate that more. He needed others to carry him to a good match and than he'd crap on them later. Even though I was never a fan of Hogan, he knew how to work the crowd like nobody else. When he did something, he made the most of it. If he wrestled Bobby it would be a lot of crowd posing and anticipation around it and than it would be a safe bump protecting Bobby and most fans wouldn't notice. Warrior could have done a lot of his stuff safely, but he didn't care to improve. He would have still been Warrior, but guys wouldn't be getting stiff clotheslines for no reason.
I love how Booby Heenan talks here about Warrior like he would have back in the day. His remarks are always funny. And this is one of the many reasons I can't watch wrestling today. No Bobby Heenan, no show as far as I'm concerned. He's one of the people that made this all work.
Bobby was such good bad guy/crooked manager/announcer. Every time he was a smart ass or stirred the pot and got everyone hyped about so. BS it was a good time. Hos character was so vital and at the time we never thought of him as the hero he was
Most didn't but to the Warriors credit he has said wrestling for him was nothing more than a job. His family was what he cared about. Not hanging out with the boys. A lot of talent didn't like that. And people didn't like warrior because they wanted a technical wrestler. They liked him for exactly what they saw in the ring. Doesn't mean Warrior was a great human being. But he had his reasons for how he was in the ring.
RIP to the best manager of all-time Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Folks that appreciate wrestling history appreciate Bobby Heenan. Overgrown adolescents appreciate the Ultimate Warrior. Guys like Heenan MADE guys like the Ultimate Warrior look great. The Ultimate Warrior never made anyone else look great.
Yeah how bout that? As a kid and a fan you could love warrior and hogan, but when you mature and her some of the wild stories and fucked up stories, you soon realize just how much of a puke those guys were and still seem to be even today.
@@konstantinkoverchenko9587Heenan never had anything bad to say about Hogan.
Thanks!
These are a great set of videos. Always liked Bobby.
What a genuinely awesome guy, RIP Bobby, we miss ya brother
Its heartwarming to see that a hated villian like Heenan was such gentlemen tough guys in real life.
Testament to their acting talents in this particular business.
It's hard to disagree with Bobby regardless how it makes you feel. He's probably the best worker in history... Yes that includes in the ring traits too. Where his bumping, selling, timing and general charisma with ridiculous heat elevated every guy 10 fold just by being in there with him. Dude was an incredible bumper. When people ask me who's the best ever? I always say Bobby Heenan.
Wow, I never thought of it like that.
Wait. George the Animal Steele helped produce the interviews? A guy who barely spoke as a wrestler and who's speech was mainly grunts and growls produced interviews? That is epic.
If you ever listen to an out of character interview of George Steele you see he was a very articulate and smart man. I believe he used to be a teacher as well
He was a math teacher before he broke through to fulltime. @@GameTime-yj6qv

True Story
Made me think of the Anderson Brothers, with Ole as the talker and Gene was an unbalanced lunatic who couldn’t talk. Then later Gene became a manager and was well spoken!
Look I understand now how bad Warrior was in the ring. With some matches as exceptions… As a kid born in 84 Warrior was like a superhero. Larger than life, electric!
RIP Bobby and Gene!
The goat has spoken 🧠
He continues to earn more of my repect what a great WRESTLER, greatest manager buthe was a huge part of wrestling and is more than just a manager ,
He is so honest and speaks as someone that understands the business better than the actual wrestlers do.
I miss you so so much my friend. Once in a generation.
He was right about when he said if you join the Hennan family you go straight to the top! He is the greatest wrestling manager of all time! He made so many WWF Superstars famous and won many many championships!
I remember watching Bobby towards end of his wrestling days.
You can tell Bobby generally disliked the warrior, think this was before the self destruction dvd
yeah bobby hated warrior.
Hopefully they listen to this interview new upcoming stars.
I love how Booby Heenan talks here about Warrior like he would have back in the day. His remarks are always funny. And this is one of the many reasons I can't watch wrestling today. No Bobby Heenan, no show as far as I'm concerned. He's one of the people that made this all work.
'The Brain' was and is the absolute G0AT! What's wrong with wrestling today is we don't have talent like Bobby Heenan to enjoy.
Bobby the brain Heenan was a pure genius. Knew the business and took good care of it.
Ultimate Warrior is one of the few wrestlers who Bobby Heenan has zero respect for.
The Brain is The Best !!!!! RIP Bobby - Say hello to Elvis
Bobby was such good bad guy/crooked manager/announcer. Every time he was a smart ass or stirred the pot and got everyone hyped about so. BS it was a good time. Hos character was so vital and at the time we never thought of him as the hero he was
My favorite manager of all time.
He made a great point about how he could simply not sell if he'd wanted to (and make the Warrior look dumb), but he respected the fans too much.
Wrong, he would have been out of a job . Bobby Heenan was not necessary.
Wow!! Bobby tell us how you really feel The Warrior!! OMG!! Man!!! He didn't like that man for nothing.
@@lastwolflord I get it lol but if you treat people like dirt you will get that dirt back to you at some point
Bobby Heenan isn't on the mount rushmore of managers, he's the whole freakin mountain.
