Lindsey is *so* underrated. Its a Fleetwood Mac song, but Lindsey sings 'Never goin back again' is brilliant. Fleetwood Mac 'The Chain ' 1982 is one of the best live performances of any band, of all time. You'll see him emote for certain lol.
I love the concert - can't remember the name or anything - where he and Stevie are staring daggers at each other across the stage singing "DAMN your love DAMN your life." The tension is electric.
@@herobreaker9011 What on earth have 'lists' got to do with anything? Does that sort of nonsense have any relevance to reality? Real people in the real world make decisions for themselves, they're not influenced by 'lists'. 🙄
@@narabdela Yes, this is EXACTLY my point. Lists are arbitrary, but they are often presented by people who present themselves as an Authority on such things. I agree people should form their OWN opinions on such things (this is WHY I commented), but you are naive to think people are not influenced by these so-called experts and their lists.
You are experiencing pure divine excellence! Lindsey is THE absolute total package. IMO the soul of FM and the reason for their success. Yes, each member had/has talent and he transformed it into something amazing.
I've been waiting for you to get to 'Big Love'! And that was awesome! Now, as for 'Go Insane' I hadn't heard it before, so it was my first reaction as well. Lindsey's vocals..Amazing! And his guitar skills beautiful when they call for it in the song, and as strong as hell when the emotions come. Fantastic!
Never given the credit he truly deserves as a guitarist and a major influence in probably one the greatest bands ever along with Stevie. That voice along with Stevie’s and Christine’s are part of the greatest three part harmony of rock and roll
Buckingham as main arranger and producer for the FM albums had to work around his long FM schedules recording and touring to make his earlier solo albums and even wound up rolling his third into an FM's Tango In The Night (and his songs into Tusk before that for what he planned a his first solo album). He didn't tour his first 2 solo albums which I think hurt them moving up the Billboard charts. These were originally both full band (though Lindsey was 98% of the band on both) album recordings that he re-arranged as more orchestral guitar solos for his first solo tour in 1992-1993. Most people first heard them during the televised The Dance Fleetwood Mac reunion in 1997. Big Love is his tour de force solo piece but the haunting almost Renaissance like arrangement of Go Insane really gets to me. He has 7 solo albums that range from good to masterpiece. Out Of The Cradle and Seeds We Sow are my favorites but they're all worth listening to and live he's magnificent.
I haven't seen that performance before. Having known and loved both songs for many years, its nice to hear them done a bit differently than usual. And the way one man can stand there on that stage, alone with his guitar, and completely mesmerize the listener????? Such awesome talent.
To everyone... he's not an underrated guitarist. Well recognized and has a unique style. There is no "best guitarist." Just a lot of great artists with their own specialties.
Thanks for doing these two. Nobody does these reactions and they are very worthy of a listen. You can compare Go Insane to his original video and I think you'll like this version much better.
Be brave, react to " Bleed to Love Her" from the Live Fleetwood Mac reunion The Dance.....ya know, the Silver Springs performance when Stevie , tore him a new asshole... Watch Lindsey, sing and play guitar to Christine Mcvie, on her piano. Epic❤
There is a good video of this song with Lindsey & Stevie Nicks on The Late Show with David Letterman. He picks that guitar like a banjo with less strumming giving a unique sound.
THIS was certainly a great performance. I wish you had checked out the studio version of Go Insane, though. This is SO different from the original. And the original was one of my favorite songs n the 80s
Apologies for the out of context. As you enjoy Dire Straits you might want to check out the movie... Local Hero. I have feeling you'll put it in the Top Tier. Cheers.
My picks off of a Lindsey Buckingham album from 2011. The guitar work makes some of them good fits for my "bedtime" playlist. Album/CD name: Seeds We Sow. 2011. Song: Stars Are Crazy Nice studio production by Buckingham. (I prefer this to live recordings of it.) As usual, great guitar playing. Some songs on the album should have ended sooner than they did. This is a longer one and it should be longer. When She Comes Down Just a very pretty, slow song. Not extraordinary, but very pretty. Don't play it right after End Of Time...there is some similarity. ~~~~~~ Good songs that would be worth my time just for the guitar pleasure. (And wait for the change ups.) In Our Time Seeds We Sow one other nice song End Of Time ////////////////////////// live--> Lindsey Buckingham only. Interview performance on channel: Leap TV acoustic Never Going Back (again)
These 2 songs were better from The Dance concert, he was unbelievable that night. I’m So Afraid, Big Love, Go Insane, Go Your Own Way, My Little Demon and Tusk
Lindsey Buckingham is the creative spark of Fleetwood Mac. He brought out the raw that Stevie had and turned what she did into a masterpiece. It's really mostly Lindsey.
he does big love on the vh1 concert he did with Fleetwood Mac the performance on there is a lot better but this one was still awesome but the vh1 one was flawless you should watch the whole Fleetwood Mac concert on vh1 was classic in the 90s when I was in high school so many great songs and him and Stevie do some amazing songs together just blow you socks off whole band was amazing I seen them in concert then.they came out with cd then after the vh1 concert and they did a tour silver springs was awesome but there were tons great songs in that concert
That wasn’t an acoustic guitar. Well at least not a conventional acoustic. Electric acoustic at best. Lindsay is well known for playing that particular style of guitar It’s a Taylor 814ce electric acoustic. Very pricey instrument. ✌🏼😎🇺🇸
@@RockChick63174 Oh dont get me wrong, I never could, even in a thousand years, its just that compraed to how he used to play it, he's definitely slowing down, but I thought it would have been old footage that would have been used.
Like Lindsey, I'm self taught. I never use a pick and my playing style is very unique. For a LONG time I thought I played weird, but then I found Lindsey and we play the same way. GOAT
The magic and genius of Lindsey, on full display.

Lindsey "underrated"? What a typically silly kneejerk UA-cam comment.

A very under rated guitar player and a unique style
He is in no way underrated.
@@RockChick63174 Correct. Just the usual dumb UA-cam "underrated" comment. I wish people would engage their brains before posting nonsense.
Such an amazing performance. He’s truly underrated as a guitarist.
Another one jumping on the senseless "underrated" bandwagon.

My fingers started to bleed just watching that. 🩸
That's how he always plays.
Dude sounds like he's playing 2 or 3 guitars at the same time. Highly underrated and doesn't get the respect that he deserves IMHO
Lindsey was FM'S mad genius. Stevie's great and all but lindsey was the band's mad scientist.

Lindsey's solo albums are fantastic!! Try "Countdown" from his Out of the Cradle album or "On The Wrong Side" from his recent self-titled release!
I love Lindsey. I have never heard this live performance before. It's amazing!
That's the reason I keep suggesting this to everyone. People need to see this.❤😊
My favorite Lindsey solo song is called Trouble. There's a video for it as well. Great song.
Definitely!!!
Best live version of that is from the PBS Soundstage concert, check it out
Lindsey Buckingham is my all-time favorite guitarist and an amazing vocalist! So happy you got to check him out more! 😁

Lindsey’s a masterful guitarist. His finger-picking style is quite tricky to not just learn, but replicate precisely.
Underrated solo artist. Big Love by Fleetwood Mac is hot.
Lindsey's guitar skills are insane. He's never been recognized for his mad skills the way he should be, IMO.
Love that poem halfway through.
If you enjoyed this one, Bleed to Love Her is just as incredible!!
DEFINITELY need to hear the studio version of ' I Go Insane' as well. COMPLETELY different vibe!
Hell yeah!!! I been waiting on you to get into more Lindsey’s and Christine’s stuff!! 💪
My absolute favorite.
When Fleetwood Mac kicked him out they had to replace him with 2 guitarists...
Brilliant guitar player/performer.

Listen to him sing and play "Say goodbye ". Emotional
Always one of my favorites! Such talent but so underrated.

I always absolutely loved both of these ..stunning song writer, performer .❤That's why Fleetwood Mac, where so successful, so much combined talent .
Buckingham and Knopfler then two best finger pluckers around
...but both of them "underrated" according to the usual braindead UA-cam parrots.
Buckingham shreds his guitar while Knopfler makes his sing

Thank you. Total appreciation and enjoyment.
This is from Lindsey’s “Small Machine” tour - played small venues all over the country, One of his best solo tours, ever, IMO
The guitar on "Go Insane" sounds very Renaissance.
The guitar for go insane is where metaluca got inspiration for nothing else matters I think allegedly?
Absolutely the best Very underated

I think you would like The Countdown. Great song. He is an amazing guitarist
If you want to hear the best Fleetwood mac song....do a reaction to ...I'm so afraid...live in Boston...it's a must see and hear.
He's the BEST arpeggio/finger picking style guitar player out there...in my opinion.
