I think you will be absolutely blown away reacting to Shoshana Bean- Make it Rain live. Her talent is absolutely incomparable. I promise it will give you the chills. ❤
@@steveorr94 Buckingham is not an underrated or under appreciated, guitar player. Critics and other guitarists, have always given him his due. When it comes to rock and roll guitar heroes, he's just not as popular as Hendrix, Van Halen or Page. His band, however, is legendary, with popular songs, that display Lindsey's extraordinary talent. Songs so memorable, that every fan can hum the solo. Lindsey is very inspirational, but not as influential, as Hendrix or Van Halen. Those who finger pick, rarely outshine those who apply a vigorous use of the plectrum. With all the awards and hit songs, I'm sure Lindsey is much appreciated.
@ I was trying to say that he’s under appreciated by fans in the conversations I’ve witnessed over the past 50 years I have been a fan of rock music. Hendrix, Van Halen, Page and Clapton are the names I have heard repeatedly and Buckingham quite rarley. Right, wrong, whatever, I’m just saying his doesn’t get mentioned much at all
I believe you’ve chosen the best version of Big Love to check out/react to. The original is from the 1980s I believe, and it’s really more of a typical 80s kind of pop, love ballad, upbeat song, along with a mystifying video to go with it, lol. To me, the original studio version was forgettable. But when I discovered this stunning live performance a few years ago, I totally fell in love, and it is still one of my favorite songs. I just don’t need the other version or a corny video from the 80s. I’m sure I’ll get Internet clobbered for saying all that… *ducks, covers head*… but it’s my opinion and I know I’m right, lol. ❤
He's Travis picking at a pretty high tempo while also singing. If you don't know what Travis picking is, look it up on YT. He's basically playing lead and bass guitar at the same time.
The studio version isn't bad, either. Not by a long shot. But it just doesn't compare to this. As you stated, two completely different songs. I suspect the studio version would be a little disappointing, coming to it for the first time after hearing the live version.
Fleetwood Mac is amazing Polo...❤❤❤ Love the music on your channel...❤❤ Rhiannon Live from 1976 on The Midnight Special is something you need to experience... It's a trip you will love..❤❤❤
GREAT reaction Polo!! I knew of this song from the release of Tango In The Night in '87, and that version of Big Love is quite different. My jaw hit the floor hearing this version from The Dance - I loved Lindsay's acoustic treatment! I highly recommend his song 'Go Insane' which followed directly after this song at the concert - it's a solo track of his, but in nonetheless incredible! He's such an underrated guitarist! Cheers!
I saw Lindsay solo at the Florida Theatre here in Jax, Fl in 2018--was totally blown away!! He is One Intense dude, not to mention an amazing musician...I would love to see him again! Great request...keep on Polo!
Lindsay is awesome. I saw him live in London a few years ago and he was great. Also saw him with Fleetwood Mac back in the early 80s, which was awesome! I would say that this song is actually better live, but the studio version is nice, too.
Buckingham makes a 6-string sound like a 12-string. Underrated guitarist. I like his song "Trouble". BTW, Fleetwood Mac's album "Rumours" is one of the best selling albums of all time!!!
This is in the middle of a Fleetwood Mac concert. The rest of the band took a break, and Lindsey picked that audience up (who had been riding a high energy wave for 30-40 minutes) and commanded their attention with just his acoustic guitar and his voice. And they responded with a standing ovation! I know band politics cause crazy things to happen, but how the hell could they kick THIS GUY out of the band? To tour, the band had to replace him with TWO musicians!
You have such a great taste in music. Fleetwood Mac is simply one of the greatest bands of all time. Let me remind you again that you never reacted to parts 6-9 of “shine on you crazy diamond” and PLEASE react to “life during wartime” off of stop making sense live concert. 🤞🏻And “pillow of winds” by Pink Floyd! 😃
Loving this. Thinking of some songs. Buying a coffee didn’t help If you do anything : Too Dry to Cry by Willis Earle Beale. Keep Hope Alive - The crystal method Paradise Circus - massive attack South Central Rain - REM Transcontinental Hustle - Gogol bordello The River - Son little
I'd love you to react to the original Fleetwood Mac lineup from the 60s. The band was started by the legendary guitarist Peter Green, who left after he developed drug related mental issues. Watch the black and white performance of Oh Well. Their sound is completly different to the 70s incarnation, much heavier, very raw!
This live version is basically Lindsay by himself, showcasing his skills, but I prefer the studio version better because the rest of the band plays on it, tempo is much slower and sounds better with that killer bass and drums, not to mention backing harmonies by the ladies. Please listen to the studio version when you have some time.
Hot tip, not related. I've been a musician/songwriter for 40 years. Was a music journalist for 10 years. Music is my life blood. Listen to The Red Clay Strays. Best rock band in 35 years. Start with Devil in my Ear. Follow up with any of their songs. They are all great. Please trust this stranger. For two years, I've been telling everyone I know about them. They are starting to blow up. Get in while you can. Love your channel.
It’s terrible that Mick and John caved in and agreed to kick Lindsey out of the band. Christine was not part of the decision and said she wouldn’t tour with the group again if Lindsey wasn’t brought back into the band. Christine said kicking Lindsey out was a mistake. I’m glad she and Lindsey made the album Buckingham McVie and toured without Stevie who refused to contribute to the album ( it was supposed to be a Fleetwood Mac album.

Janis Joplin “Little Girl Blue.” (Live on This is Tom Jones) is said to bring chills to the spine and tears to the eyes.
Listen to stevie ray vaughn live at the El macombo toronto canada he was amazing voodoo child (slight return)!!!amazing lol thx bro.
Lindsay is a God on guitar. As someone once said Lindsay is your favourite guitarist's favorite guitarist
The guitar is astonishing but being able to sing so well at the same time as that intricate picking is what makes this next level.
Almost all of Fleetwood Mac's songs are relevant to the interpersonal relationships of it's members. Thank you, Polo.
Lindsay is an impressive player. Most underrated.
Also self taught and can't read music, just pure natural talent!
I’d add under appreciated too

He is!
The fact that he can sing while playing this is mind blowing.
Oh my god, I’m SO GLAD you got to see this! Lindsay Buckingham is in “god mode” here.
He makes one guitar sound like 2+ 🔥
His guitar playing always sounds like two people are necessary to produce that intricate sound.
Never heard this solo version before? Wow!

the most important thing to keep in mind, this is ONE man with ONE guitar....
I had chills through the whole song.
FLEETWOOD MAC has always been beyond awesome in every respect. ❤❤❤
Dayum the man can play the guitar!
He's Travis picking at a pretty high tempo while also singing. If you don't know what Travis picking is, look it up on YT. He's basically playing lead and bass guitar at the same time.
Lindsey is so awesome. His guitar skills are so under rated
EARGASMIC! Just wow! I've always loved the studio version of this song, and never heard or seen the acoustic version. But this is another level!
Love what I feel when I hear these vocals..
As others said, to play guitar this way while singing with such emotion is just incredible. Buckingham is just monstrously talented.
The man is pure GENIUS!!!🎵🎼🎶🎸🎸🎸💜🔥🔥🤘🤘
The awesome thing is that he doesn't use a pick at all. One of the greatest finger pickers of all time.
Thats not fleetwood mac thats the songwriter doing an awesome solo
Zackly
Except that it's on Tango in the Night, a Fleetwood Mac album..
@@bove2k918 was talking about the video........
@@ScottWilbour-bk9mjthis video is also from a Fleetwood Mac concert
Thanks for this one sir. Lindsay is so impressive, great mystique too.
Appreciate the music thank you for bringing us the greats
Fleetwood Mac has been very special to me since I was 14. Great memories ❤❤. Thank you for delving in.
Always one of my favorite songs at any Fleetwood Mac or Lindsey Buckingham concert! He is always amazing!
"Bleed to Love Her" is another amazing song Lindsey performs in this same show. MUST SEE!!!
Hadn't heard this song played by Lindsay in this way before. GREAT. Thank you. And wonderful your channel is doing so well.
Always loved this song
Yeah, I put this in the comments a few months back. I knew you would love it 🥰😍💋
The studio version is HUGE. I recommend.
I love this acoustic version, but the studio version is a whole other vibe
Great song..Lindsay at his best..YEAH❤
I hope you listen to the studio version, it's almost a completely different song.
The studio version isn't bad, either. Not by a long shot. But it just doesn't compare to this. As you stated, two completely different songs. I suspect the studio version would be a little disappointing, coming to it for the first time after hearing the live version.
This one never ceases to rock my world .🎉❤
Nice! After this you should check out some of the early Fleetwood Mac, with Peter Green, Tunes like Oh Well, Albatros, Black Magic Woman etc
Lindsey is the only guitarist I know that can make one guitar sound like two. ❤
Finally you get it !!! That man is a magician !!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Saw him in the Florida theater a while back just amazing
You should check out the version from the Dance live performance as well as I’m So Afraid
This IS from The Dance!
I think I like this one better than the studio version ❤
Thanks for the music 🎶 good one ❤ got my 😺 on the run...
❤❤❤❤ thank you🎉
Fleetwood Mac is amazing Polo...❤❤❤ Love the music on your channel...❤❤ Rhiannon Live from 1976 on The Midnight Special is something you need to experience... It's a trip you will love..❤❤❤
Listening to the studio version on headphones is amazing. The production is incredible. I'd give it a shot.
God mode. He’s playing two separate parts for most of the song… and singing. I’ve been a fan since the 70’s
GREAT reaction Polo!! I knew of this song from the release of Tango In The Night in '87, and that version of Big Love is quite different. Yes Polo check out the studio version. It's really good as well!!

I never tire of hearing this song. Thanks for a fantastic reaction.
Love this version even better than the studio, but the studio version is good too!!
We really enjoy watching your videos. This was a great one. Hard to believe Lindsey plays without a guitar pick.
This is in the middle of a Fleetwood Mac concert. The rest of the band took a break, and Lindsey picked that audience up (who had been riding a high energy wave for 30-40 minutes) and commanded their attention with just his acoustic guitar and his voice. And they responded with a standing ovation!

There is just no comparison to the music of today! The 70's and 80's music was real.
YESSSS!!!! I knew you would love this ❤
This one from them doesn’t get a lot of attention, but it’s a gem!
This is definitely fire the studio / video is completely different so yes so yes definitely react to it!
Good one! 👏👏👏👏👏

Yes, check out the studio version. Also great, but different.
Definitely studio version too.
❤❤
His style play is of what i refer. To as jangle string
It’s so good
Loving this. Thinking of some songs. Buying a coffee didn’t help
If you do anything : Too Dry to Cry by Willis Earle Beale.
Keep Hope Alive - The crystal method
Paradise Circus - massive attack
South Central Rain - REM
Transcontinental Hustle - Gogol bordello
The River - Son little
This version is better than the studio version, and also very different. I'd check it out too, but don't expect ut to be as awesome.
Acoustic or Electric Lindsey Buckingham is a stellar guitarist and performer! 👍👍👍
Yes, please listen to the studio version.
Why
Check out the album version too
A perfect example of why when Lindsay left the group, they hired 2 guitarists to replace him
Buckingham.... one of the best pickers ever! Never Going Back Again is a guitar masterpiece!
GREat performance. Studio version of this song is great too
yes yes yes YES. This is the musical equivalent of the Big "O"
It's the oo, ahhs in the end. Somebody get me some ice. *lol*
Definitely react to the studio version.
Awe

Check out his song Don't Look Down. AMAZING picking
YT will not let me click LIKE. SO...❤
Lindsey is amazing on the guitar. You should listen to “Never Going back Again”.
Written about his breakup with Stevie Nicks!❤
Lyndsey buckingham is a slept on guitarist. The man is very good at what he does
Great performance by Lindsay. Still a little partial to the studio version. Give it a listen😊
I never heard this. This is just one member of the band. The recorded and concert versions have whole band
Request: Brighton Rock, by Queen
The dude is a primadonna, but dang...he can play !
YES! I am so glad you got to experience Lindsey Buckingham’s talent; his guitar work, vocals, arrangement; goosebumps!!!
It's not Fleetwood Mac. It's only Lindsey
I regret I have but one "Like" to give...
Lindsey only!!
This live version is basically Lindsay by himself, showcasing his skills, but I prefer the studio version better because the rest of the band plays on it, tempo is much slower and sounds better with that killer bass and drums, not to mention backing harmonies by the ladies. The studio version is all Lindsey - all vocals and instruments except for Mick playing over some already recorded drum fills.

Lindsey Buckingham was the most talented member of Fleetwood Mac, and it's not even close.
Great solo live version from marvelous guitarist Lindsay Buckingham in 1997.
I was what year when this was filmed. Thanks!
@sandrazed6089 you very welcome.
You really should watch the video of this even if you dont react to it. All the band members participate in the Video.
