Lindsay is overlooked by the casual fan who thinks Fleetwood Mac was Stevie Nicks and her band. When one moves from a causal fan to hardcore, it becomes clear that Lindsay was a major component in this band, my personal favorite. As you are learning, Lindsay has solo albums. I have a couple and they are good. I also saw Lindsay in concert, solo, just him and guitar. It was late 90s as I recall but it could have been early 2000s. The show was fantastic. Lindsay gets a little crazy on stage in a good way. So much energy and talent. Like I said, he carried the concert all by himself, not even a band.
Lindsey has 7 solo albums. Out Of The Cradle from 1992 is considered his masterpiece but he's continued to make great albums in the 21st century - Seeds We Sow, Gifts of Screw, Under the Skin & his self titled from 2021. 95%+of his solo albums are truly solo. He also released an album with Christine McVie in 2017 though it's an FM in all but name. He's rolled solo albums in various stages three times into FM albums. When he was with the band he was the only guitarist, he played electric and acoustic, lead and rhythm. Also percussion, bass, harp, piano etc when needed. He was FM's main producer & arranger, later engineer, their sonic architect and became their on stage musical director.
I've seen that performance a million times , but watching this made my eyes tear up ! There was a handful of celebrities in the audience that night I have this CD and DVD from this concert , I remember seeing Courtney Love in the audience and Cheryl Crow ! He also had a solo career after Fleetwood Mac broke up and put out 2 maybe 3 CD's they're really good !
Yes, this is insanely difficult to play. Check out the video 'EPIC RIFFS | Fleetwood Mac - Why it's so difficult to play' from Mark Davids. He demonstrates how to play it, but it takes a ton of practice for even the most skilled guitar players.
One man band. Yes he was overlooked for sure. He always stayed in his lane with his lead guitar and never overwhelmed a song. When they fired him they had to hire two guitarists to play his parts in live shows.
Man, so good. You may also be interested in Shut US Down, and Go Insane Live. His live performances with Stevie from his 2005 release, Soundstage Concert Live. Say Goodbye and an amazing Never Going Back Again...both live accoustic duets.
Lindsey Buckingham is extremely overlooked!!!He was considered so quirky that fellow band members fell out of favor with him. His guitar talents are extraordinary. His guitar work on “The Chain” is off the chain.
The first person to introduce that finger picking was an old blues man named Mississippi John Hurt. Check out his story, you will thank me, your viewers will thank you.
The fact that he can play this song and sing at the same time is truly incredible
He’s playing lead, melody and bass at the same time.
He is another one of those underrated guitar players that deserves so much more respect. Well done Lindsey ;)
Watch how his right thumb is pumping out a completely different rhythm than the melody he playing with the other fingers....extroadinary.
I was trying to think of who else could play something like that.
Exactly why it sounds like more than one guitar.
@@Veggamattic I bet clapton or mark knopfler could pull it off, they just never thought of that combination.
Isn’t he just INCREDIBLE? I don’t know why he doesn’t get the respect he deserves either! I’m so glad you reacted to this one.
I think he’s an alien or something, absolutely phenomenal playing and singing.
We just witnessed greatness right there! 🔥
I'm so glad you recognize how phenomenal Lindsey.Buckingham is Biz. He really is a great guitarist.

When the light hits the guitar right you can see all the scratches left there FROM HIS BARE HANDS
Self taught.
Unique style.
Legendary Player.
In nobody's top 10 😩
Unique in every way! Writes and plays and sings like none other!
He is great there is no question and he can play
Lindsey definitely is underrated. He has a lot of solo stuff.

Wow! Powerful performance! Thx Biz.
This is the very definition of “tour de force” !
I love this version so much.
Amazing!
❤ this live performance!!!
Lindsey Buckingham, magic as always ❤❤❤
This is master class!
Very nice, thanks
I don't understand!!! What Is Happening Right Now?? It sounds like there are at least 2 guitars playing!! My mind is blown!!

Stevie got him fired because she's vindictive as hell.
That's Entertainment

Check out his studio version of the song "Tango In the Night." I like his guitar work in that also.
💗
💥...🍻☘️
He can “ plug in” and play too bro!
Lindsey!
Tango in the Night. Please!
Im so afraid from same concert Biz 😉
He already did that. But check out the '1980 Cleveland Ohio' live version, it's the best one by far.
😁👍
Tell me this doesn’t sound like at least 3 guitars playing all at once.
Hey Biz warn us before you belt out like that next time cuz😂
😄
Lindsay > Stevie
Underestimated guitarist
