I like how this shows two different ideologies of parenting. Like, two different places that parents can come from.
in this case Tunya is the pedagogs or something lol. At least when you listen to some pedagogical programs, and you freak out, like it's Barney the Dinosaur or something

I absolutely love how the whole "kid's show" thing is just a funny framing device instead of some self-imposed creative challenge
My favorite part is the reveal that Puzzle isn’t some one-note angsty edgelord but actually cares about the show as much as Sling does, but just has a different way of going about it

I don't know what I expected when I clicked on this video, but it wasn't the clashing ideologies of two traumatized people, both wanting to do their best for people in a way that speaks to their own personal journey of pain and healing, and how even two people who went through the same things together can come to entirely different conclusions about the world, but I'm for it xD

Se llama calidad. Actualmente las series actuales solo se enfocan en hacer contenido desechable y barato Pero que la gente consume y eso les renta.
Lo que tiene de encantador en sus caras es que están bien sincronizadas a sus acciones y contextos. Cosa que en muchos animes o dibujos suelen faltar bastante Pero la gente no lo nota, un ejemplo es Naruto Shippuden en las escenas de ataque donde la expresión de sus caras está básicamente estática y solo mueven la boca para gritar, Pero se les olvidan los ojos y el lenguaje corporal.

This is one of the most realistically-voiced arguments I've ever heard. No shouting, just feelings. It makes it viscerally uncomfortable in the best of ways, like im actualyl watching old friends fight. Bra-fricking-vo.

Facts about the Sling 1) the Sling is cut because in the episode itself we see hands that seem to be cut, which proves this fact. 2) the Sling often gets sick, because on the shelf you can see a couple of bottles that look like medicine. 3) Sling had a strict childhood, and she shows us this at the beginning of the episode where Sling says something like “you promised to finish the puzzle by this time”, which shows that she has everything planned out 4) the Sling is afraid of bees

At 8:24 when Puzzle says, “I want these kids to kill our boredom someday.”
That hit hard, and it felt like like Puzzle was hoping that when their show is done they can look back proudly at the generation they helped to raise.
This show felt like two parents having a dialogue about their methods of looking out for their children, and hoping that they’re doing enough when the time comes that the children eventually grow up
This was beautifully done and I hope we can see more in the future!

I always loved these kinds of character duos where one is hardly ever seen without a smile on their face, but then the other one just looks done with everything and everyone around them

I love how Tunya's marionette gets tangled and they show how he gets untangled and it takes like 30 seconds
anyone rember when cartoons back in the day would say "thank you" the fact that I'm 14 and grew up with that makes me happy as hell

i. fucking. love this. Slings voice sounds perfect for a kids cartoon and puzzle just sounds like a real person, i love that. The voices bring the characters out so well! and the I spy style is amazing
The fact this a parody of old kids shows that are meant to be educational is great, it's so creative and i love it, i hope we get a lot more of this.
After years of "deconstructed kids content", I'd say this is refreshingly "reconstructed", where while the episode does portray the characters as real, flawed people, they nevertheless have genuine intention of reaching kids.
After witnessing things like DHMIS, happy tree friends and Lee Hardcastle this was some refreshing kids media based UA-cam vid

Why have I not seen anyone say the NMRC is kinda like PBS kids 😭 (or at least what I remember) I really do love this because I’m a fan of more adult shows that have a face of a children’s cartoon. This one is definitely amazing and has an edgy idea mixed with a child-like feel and it’s SO WELL MADE!!!! And I’m gonna be honest, the way the stop motion is done gives me Rudolph the red nose reindeer vibes and I love that because I don’t see that much in stop motion anymore. Like the choppy movements and stuff. I also LOVE the animation mixed with it. The poses, voices, and face expressions are AMAZING!!! This is really good. 100/10
One of the coolest videos UA-cam has ever recommended me, I'm so glad I got to see this! It's such a bizarre and fun watch, everything from the character designs to the different usages of mixed media is just tremendous. Awesome work!!!!

i just randomly stumbled upon this and maybe cuz it’s like 11 at night but boy was it a roller coaster. very unsettling. (compliment) this felt like a whole entire movie. it feels like i’m trying to watch this show without having seen the first episode, or like a show you randomly stumble upon as a child and never see again.

The funniest part is thinking about the stage crew awkwardly standing there while they argued.
Just proves more than Indie Animation is more imaginative and (out-of-the-box) creative, than what Disney can't achieve.

Honestly I'd do anything for next episodes, and as much as I want it to get popular I also don't... The way it is now is cool, I'd love to see more content of it, sure, but I don't want all of these weird people and all... You get what I mean.
There is something so deeply funny to me about how Sling doesn't care about Puzzle swearing multiple times, but does take issue with Puzzle being rude to a bird.

I've watched this like three times already. I'm genuinely so obsessed and hope to see more of this sort of stuff someday I hope Puzzle and Sling know they are loved. I know what I'm gonna be thinking about and drawing for the next week
There is something deeply pleasing about stop motion media, which I have always found quite appealing. Perhaps the crispness of it, among other things. It is a challenge to quantify, yet one knows it when one experiences it.

stumbled upon this animation and I really do enjoy the combination of stop motion and hand drawn animation for the faces. Plus the writing is really funny

The Danganronpa reference at the beginning is something people definitely noticed, however, not many people actually caught on to the detail that they got Dorothy Elias-Fahn to voice Sling, a voice actress well-known for playing SEVERAL characters in Danganronpa.
How they got her in this still baffles me, tbh.

Fun fact! Puzzle's last name, Pulcinella, is actually the name of a classical character that sort of represented the "soul of the common folk", essentially a passionate chaos. Im not sure if sling's last name has such specifics but yeah puzzle's last name ends up being a good way to describe her as well

I love how Sling is so anxious and emotional, and Puzzle is like being the bad guy, but despite it Puzzle still shows care, i love this show, I'm going to wait for a the second episode if there's even one :)))
It's interesting, as far as continuations go, I could see this being done with both its current more adult leanings, or turned into an unironic kids show by taking out the swearing but still keeping most of the edge/bite it has.
Which like, the latter's less implausible than you think, that's literally how Pee-Wee's Playhouse happened, I'm not kidding!
That small confrontation felt like watching an actual family argue about how they're raising their kids omggg
I really love the mixed media in this and the look it brings. It takes me back to shows I used to watch when I was very young. I also like how it manages to subvert the tropes it does without dipping into nihilism or spite. Overall, I can see the work and love that was put into it. Very charming.
Another moral of this is that it’s OK to cry, which I feel like a lot of people need to hear

i love indie animation so much, it just shows how much creativity and freedom people have to share the stories with the way they wanted to be,,,this was so lovely!! This gave me so much nostalgia to those end credit sequences cartoons used to have (notably with chowder and the puppetry) can't wait to see more stuff from you!!!
