Yes please sir do not ever stop! Once I get my financial situation in check, I will be more than happy and willing to support, these themes are my childhood and they sound fantastic.
This dude is a GOD. Can I just say I’ve never actually liked this track before, unlike most of Mike’s stuff which I love. But this was amazing and finally did it the right gravitas those levels of moments deserved.
Not a God, a super saiyan God 😅 jk jk I'm glad you were able to reconsider how you feel about this piece! I actually felt kind of similar to be honest, but when it got requested I felt like I could take it to a place where I felt more towards it. That's one of the fun things about remaking/covering, I get to take these tracks that I've known my whole life and make them my own, not changing their spirit, but bringing my own spirit to play with it :)
Oh, this is wonderfully intense. It does just feel like a battle to resist Babidi, like if this was cast on you, this would be you spending every ounce of energy to fight it off from consuming you. Or, if you're the prince, you're just letting it take over, and this is you just feeling yourself being made to be more powerful in some sick metamorphosis. I like you saying that it was creepy, because Dragon Ball Z, imo, was a little too quick for me to get any sense of more primal feelings of disgust, I just wanted our heroes to win and triumph. But, when I stop and think about it, Cell, Buu, and now that I'm processing it, Babidi are gross in a way I can't really place. They don't belong, they shouldn't exist, or they're an abomination to otherwise naturally occurring phenomena. The thought of wrapping around this nebulous spore of evil within someone and yanking them around is gross in a way hard to put to words. It's like a parasitic infection, borrowing to feed upon you, but not in a literal sense, more to feed off of your potential to induct you into this dark sorcerer's grand scheme. Worse still isn't that magic is capable of doing this, or creating barriers or the numerous other feats he performs, but honestly that he CHOOSES to do this. Dabura, Yakon, Pui Pui, Spopovich, Yamu and numerous other henchment were deliberately targeted because of their unyielding negativity brings up emotions of disgust I would recognize in the thought of narcissism, or in the case of the two humans, who are undoubtably much younger than Babidi, maybe even grooming. It's gross, and I think it brings another layer of horror to the Buu Saga, helping to cut through some of the levity that Buu's reveal had. He may be a fluffy and chaotic guy, but his master is a disgusting creature well worth his eventual death. On a different note, could you imagine how bad your midlife crisis would have to be to WILLINGLY go back to complete evil and debauchery? Like, it's kinda sad, and I empathize with Vegeta. He's had wins, sure, like becoming the Saiyan of Legend, getting a good family, and the numerous wins in battles throughout the series, but his main rival he's never beaten, who then dies and takes his motivation away like air beneath wings, and he's left to just slowly sail down. It makes him a sore person with a few more needles than before because his main point to conquer, that of surpassing and staying somewhat steadily in front of Goku vanishes, and he's left with this nagging thought of not being number one. It feels like a case of chronic abuse in his childhood, that he HAD to be the premier, and it's still haunting the prince after decades. And then, when Goku returns to the land of the living, it must have been like dangling a canteen of water to a man dying of thirst in an arid hellhole, where every attempt he made to snatch that canteen, that mana of purpose, elixir of life, the antidote to his anxieties was to be pulled ever further away, leaving him still just as parched with no chance at success. He wanted to, needed to and had to fight Goku, had to beat him, and when he was denied too often, and then he sat back and saw the chance, he took it. I cannot blame that man, because, well, without delving into it, I've felt like this at times, where the thing I desperately needed evaded me, and it feels like hell watching it evade you no matter your efforts, or your desires, oh how it taunts you so. The man broke, and gave in, taking the one route that promised something other than constant disappointment, and it started his path down darkness. Funnily, anyone who watches that fight proper realizes that SSJ3 made his transformation worthless, and I'd like to believe that, in his final sacrifice and watching from The Other World, he finally had to make peace that, instead of being a second best, he was never a second best at all. He was the Prince of All Saiyans, who had survived and triumphed this far, only to be conquered by his anxieties, his fears and his traumas, and he succumbed to it. That in his break in his pride, he saw, instead, not what he should be, but rather, what he should do. That he should save the universe, and attone for his grave missteps, and once he was presented the opportunity, he took it. I think this change in him really allows him to break from his desire for evil entirely, because instead of gunning for the top, he desires fulfillment in his loved ones, his continued improvement, and a friendly rivalry in Goku. My take, at least, and no doubt through the lens of my own life experiences and views, but I'd like to believe that the Prince finally was able to break through whatever convinced him he had to be evil, like some core thoughts, and make him choose the path of good, even if he is far more gruff and aggressive than his compatriots.
I said to someone recently that Vegeta’s death and rebirth was like a cleansing of his soul, his second, second chance, failing in death, but now with an opportunity to succeed in life. So this whole arc for him of his repressed darkness coming forth and manifesting in his crisis and literally in Buu, just adds more weight to his eventual resurrection; he had experienced it before after being killed by frieza, but instead of coming back not having changed much, now he comes back with the chance to be good, transformed. You’re very poetic Ioannis!!Do you write, creatively?
That cleansing is succinct to say the least, it gave him a new engine that drove him through the Cell Saga with a completely different aura, and so I have to agree with you there, he really did come back a man with a cleaner soul and more full purpose. He really subverts, in my opinion, what most deaths in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z appear to be, for the most part, where our heroes come back unchanged, how villains come back with even more hatred and rage, and how the people of the world, often slaughtered by the evil opposition, counterpart to our champions, come back with no care of how or why they died, nor any respect to the fact that they were even absent at all. Vegeta, in maintaining his prominence and separation from the rest of the entire show, is the only one who dies and returns a different man every time. A wonderful showing to be certain, and in my opinion, one of the strongest reasons he is as liked in the show as he is. I do indeed write creatively, but most of my stuff isn't really worth the paper it's written on or the data it consumes. But I write because it takes the ideas that swirl endlessly in my head and puts it down somewhere I can maintain it and keep my sanity, a best of both worlds. Because of it's general quality, given that it's at best, ridiculously amateurish, and at worst, is just hot garbage, I just figure I have to keep writing and getting it to improve incrementally. I'm not great now, nor do I think I will be a great writer, but just trying to get a little better can't hurt, to say the least.
This track is another one of those super underrated ones from the American OST. It sounds so evil and perfectly highlights Vegeta’s descent into madness, I’ve heard sub fans try to use the synth as an argument for why the dub is worse but cheaper equipment does not detract from the quality of the work produced. Both had some highlights but man the disrespect I’ve seen for some of these stand out tracks frustrates me.
I hear you man! Some people just get attached to what they know and grew up with, not willing to accept anything else. Same goes for other things, beliefs, points of view. To me, the two scores are just different perspectives and we’re blessed to have them both ☺️ those showing disrespect feels like a tribal thing
It's honestly better to not bring the arguments to places like this where the channel creator is doing something constructive with his own talents for something he likes. He's practically earned the right to have a clean comment section.
@@gespenst1329I am not aiming to start a huge argument in Gladius’s comment section but rather highlighting that I think the basic layout of this score is awesome and with the improvements Gladius made becomes even more of a standout track.
@@kazuhiramiller7945 Yes, but the 2nd half of the 2nd sentence can easily be the spark for such a thing. Places like this should be neutral zones amidst all the other comment section battlefields out there.

This cover is quite literally 🐐 goated. If this doesn’t have 100k likes In a month I will be upset
This is so good It actually gave me chills. This is why I wish they got Faulconer back to do Dragon Ball Super, man
Huge missed opportunity but that's Super in general. It won't age well.
What..what is this?? Why am I crying??? This music...is this how fear sounds like?
This is my favorite dbz theme. Although alot of closes. Man i been listening to bruce falconor dbz theme still. I just discovered your channel after a life changing event. Thank you bro. I make music to. I havnt for a while. But after listening to your channel. I want to say thank you for sparking the fire back in my eye
It's a track I completely forgot about. But, after hearing your remake, I don't think I'll be forgetting so soon again.
That’s a good sign 😁😁
Man this is incredible. Keep at it.
I appreciate the encouragement, thank you man! 🙏
God this theme is so chilling, I love it!
It sure is! 🥶🥶
Dude I don't remember this track being this epic, absolute fire 🔥🔥
Yeah it’s one of the more unique Faulconer tracks :) Was awesome to remake! 🔥
This is so amazing!! Great job!! 🔥
Thank you 🔥
this is absolutely brilliant. the mix and the arrangement is phenomenal. also, the choir is so gothic i love it (i'd love to know the vst instrument hahaha)
great work!
☺️ Thank you sir- the choir is from a set of libraries made by Orchestral Tools called Metropolis Ark. It’s very good, expensive, but worth it if you’re making this kind of music all the time.
@@GladiusThemes oh metropolis ark damn! yes i have heard about it, it's a legendary library at this point ahahaha!
honestly one of my favorite themes from DBZ love what you did with the remix
It’s a great theme! Really unique:)
AMAZING work, my friend!! I love the dark choirs reminiscent of "The Prince of Egypt". This is one of my favorite tracks and your version is fantastic!
Great to see you her Rakeem! Ah that's cool, it made me think of some of the Akatsuki themes in Naruto Shippuden. Thank you my friend 🙏☺️
I love it.
Great job!
Thanks man!! 🙏
Absolute fire cover 🔥
🙏🙏🙏
This is one of my favorite tracks hell yeah!
This is great honestly, didn’t make me cry though haha, but loved it regardless.
I don’t know if it was a crying kind of track for me 🙏 gave me more insidious vibes when I was working on it. Glad u enjoyed it anyway :)
I love the work you put into these
I love that you appreciate that work! :)
Gladius, you know there is only so much epicness a human can take! You and Rakeem re-makes are extraordinary musicians and masters, this is a masterpiece especially at 1:25 onward. Awesome brother.
Thank you so much brother ☺️ The epicness must continue!!
Yes please sir do not ever stop! Once I get my financial situation in check, I will be more than happy and willing to support, these themes are my childhood and they sound fantastic.
@@destraucght1242 that’s hugely appreciated man! 🙏🙏
You had me at the opening vocals 🤩
🙏🙏🙏
Amazing as always 🔥
This is so EPIC! Crazy pump at the gym.
ah yes Babidi Casts Spell 😊 Majin Vegeta was interesting
What's the "M" stand for?
-Mine!
Awesome remix bro!
Thanks brother!
Yeh!! another Anger Banger! ;P fun fact: I can do Babadi's voice I can also sorta do Piccolo/ Frieza
This remake amplifies and enhances this theme and makes it even more powerful than the original. It's incredible.
🙏 I’m very happy with how this one turned out 🥹
So GOOD! Need a 2 hour version so I can stop hitting repeat!
This dude is a GOD.
Can I just say I’ve never actually liked this track before, unlike most of Mike’s stuff which I love. But this was amazing and finally did it the right gravitas those levels of moments deserved.
Not a God, a super saiyan God 😅 jk jk
I'm glad you were able to reconsider how you feel about this piece!
@@GladiusThemes
And it shows.
The beginning choir sounds like the music from Titanic ❤😂 but this is fire 🔥
Hah damn, I was going for more Naruto/Akatsuki vibes but Titanic works too. Thanks haha 😁
I love this remake
"You know, the funny thing is... I know you're playing me......"
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
Man, seeing DBZA like this after all this time felt so good!
Makes me want to immediately transcend human limitations and villain arc harder than anyone else ever has
😈😈😈
The funny thing is...I know you're playing me...
AGHHHHHHHH lol
02:29 was when I realised this was one of the coolest tracks I've ever heard
The beat and the drums go so hard from 1:42 - 1:52😮💨🥁💥
This track is another one of those super underrated ones from the American OST.
Places like this should be neutral zones amidst all the other comment section battlefields out there.
this is a brilliant version you’ve made!!
Finally a worthy remix fit for sayian Prince !!!
Dawg, two videos in one day? We're being spoiled.
Yeaaaah !! Not gonna be a recurring thing… for now at least ;)
"tell me, is it slavery when you get what you want" 😈
I always found this was an underrated theme in the fandom, nobody ever speaks about it like they do the Gohan Angers or Super Saiyan Vegeta themes, but I always felt Babidi Casts Spell was right up there with the very best themes the show had to offer. Bravo to Mike for this one, was always one of my favorites and bravo and on this badass remake. Do you think it would be alright if I used this for an AMV? I would credit you of course.
This piece of music does seem to slip by people but it serves its role in the show so well 🙏 thanks! Yes you can totally do that, credit would be great 😊
Goosebumps! I didn’t know i needed this until i saw it! Also, thanks for doing Frieza’s theme as per my request! I would love to hear Orochimaru’s Theme from you. Keep up the great work!
Hey you're very welcome!! It was an awesome request and I couldn't do Buu & Cell without doing Frieza too :) Oooo Orochimaru's theme would be fricken cool. Can you send me a link to the one, just wanna make sure we're thinking of the same one.

I don't like the US version of the anime.
But this version of the music is so WOW ! 😳
That's totally fair :) I like aspects of both versions! Glad this one connected with you 😁
This is amazing.... Hopefully you will make a Pikon's theme too :)
Thanks! Good news, I already have!! ☺️
