Better to try while its swimming then just let it go without trying :/ also biting no longer gets organs out, and deino can’t do the Ex3 thing it was replaced with. So deino can only get organs by either eating a bigger corpse until its open or thrashing it if its small enough.
Yeah for sure, but the male colours and the pattern A were clearly completed or very close too so I knew it was fully grown. And I think I was like 60-70% grown so I would've been around 5 tons which isn't enough to grab them. (I also didn't want to blow my cover because there was a smaller stego- he didn't end up crossing though :(

Same. Highlands doesn't have that many people, but when migration comes there's usually a few stegos. This was filmed right after the dibbles were added, so EVERYONE would play as them, and when their migration was at highlands there would be so many players. But it's not usually like that.
If the body is small enough and you're holding it (and that goes for every other dinos), hold LMB and shake ur mouse left and right. If the body's too big then you have to eat or take chunks out until the organs are exposed.

When you sprint you also grab so there's no need to sprint out, then click RMB again to grab. At the beginning of this video I didn't know that, so there's a few times where I sprint to catch up, and let go after I grabbed them to grab again because I didn't know the sprint could also grab. So basically if you sprint to them and you think you'll reach them before your sprint is over, then you shouldn't right click again because you'll probably grab them in time.

Usually I like to leave the highlands from 30-40% so you trot fast enough to make it before you die from dehydration. The longer you wait the better as you'll trot faster. Don't go below 60% stamina on your trip, and don't go when migration zone's there as there might be some dinos that will try and kill you on the way (like you saw with those omnis)

yeah, if they're doing the swim animation a fully grown deino can catch them. This doesn't include when they're in the water but still touching the ground
I try to aim at around 40%, you'll be between yellow and orange health when you get there though. If you wait until you're fully grown (which I don't have the patience to) and take the straight path (which is risker), you'll make it with water to spare. You could also get the mutation where your water doesn't go down as quickly.

That sub stego totally deserved that lol. I hate cocky players that literally sit on a corpse and guard it and then mock the predator thats 3 or 4 times its weight. For some rea son dibble players are super agressive and stupid like i was with herrera on the cliff at sp and a dibble tried killing me and it falled down the cliff and died (the dibble was an adult)
literally most of the time you've been going for either a stego or dibble, you're full hunger, whats the point on killing without actually earning anything?? you're just getting a wasted meal, pointless.
I understand where you're coming from, but I can assure you no food went to waste. The video barely shows me or my friends eating because I mainly tried to include action in this video, I tried to include other things but it was 30+ min, so it may seem like I was just killing and leaving the food to waste. First of all, there was always at least 2 fully grown deinos in the lake, so there was always room in our stomachs. I also had the gastronomic regeneration mutation, so I'd purposely leave some extra food so I could come back and heal whenever I'd get low. Deinos can also eat rotten meat, so it would be quite a long time before the food would be gone, so no, it won't go to waste. If there was any food that we wouldn't eat (which was rare), ceras, heras and omnis would sometimes come to finish it. This video is also a 12+ hours gameplay, where we patiently waited for migration to come along with stegos and diablos. But because I cut this into a 17 min long video, it may seem like all I did was killing. When the zone isn't here, there's rarely anything that comes so we like to take advantage when it is here as it's filled with players and we can fill on our missing diet. There were also a few occasions where I decided to spare diablos (or not lunge at them and let them drink) as I'd sometimes have enough food, or I'd just want to do it for the fun/experience and then bring them back to land. Other times was to get rid of cocky players who'd come at us for no reason. It is not pointless as I do earn experience and improve on each lunge I make. When I first came to the highlands I missed a couple times but practice makes perfect :)) Thanks for watching.

Friendly stegos are likely stegos that never played deino. Unfriendly stegos probably got cannibalized as a deino lol

For some rea son dibble players are super agressive and stupid like i was with herrera on the cliff at sp and a dibble tried killing me and it falled down the cliff and died (the dibble was an adult)

literally most of the time you've been going for either a stego or dibble, you're full hunger, whats the point on killing without actually earning anything?? you're just getting a wasted meal, pointless.
I understand where you're coming from, but I can assure you no food went to waste. The video barely shows me or my friends eating because I mainly tried to include action in this video, I tried to include other things but it was 30+ min, so it may seem like I was just killing and leaving the food to waste.
First of all, there was always at least 2 fully grown deinos in the lake, so there was always room in our stomachs.
I also had the gastronomic regeneration mutation, so I'd purposely leave some extra food so I could come back and heal whenever I'd get low. Deinos can also eat rotten meat, so it would be quite a long time before the food would be gone, so no, it won't go to waste.
If there was any food that we wouldn't eat (which was rare), ceras, heras and omnis would sometimes come to finish it.
This video is also a 12+ hours gameplay, where we patiently waited for migration to come along with stegos and diablos. But because I cut this into a 17 min long video, it may seem like all I did was killing.
When the zone isn't here, there's rarely anything that comes so we like to take advantage when it is here as it's filled with players and we can fill on our missing diet.
There were also a few occasions where I decided to spare diablos (or not lunge at them and let them drink) as I'd sometimes have enough food, or I'd just want to do it for the fun/experience and then bring them back to land. Other times was to get rid of cocky players who'd come at us for no reason.
It is not pointless as I do earn experience and improve on each lunge I make. When I first came to the highlands I missed a couple times but practice makes perfect :))

How did u managed to get to the Highlands? I tried it several times but had no luck. My croc always died from dehydration
