Two Tails Ranch is one of the few places anywhere what you can learn, touch and even ride these gentle giants. They have been welcoming guests here since the 1950's, A wonderful place for the entire family!

What? elephants do not naturally just sway and bob. why does this place use bull hooks? why is she making them do tricks? this place sucks. send these elephants to a real sanctuary.

Yes---agree. She "lost me" when I saw the elephant doing circus tricks, having pictures taken with tourists and being fed by tourists. She making money off the elephants. I like the elephant sanctuaries, like the one in Tennessee, where the elephants roam free on acres of land.

Yeah, I watch wild African elephants on live-stream safaris and I don't recall seeing them sway.
@@dixiee3554 I heard this somewhere I long time ago that if they keep swaying then it's something wrong, like being bored or alone and not really socializing enough with other elephants. Something like that. I've also watched plenty of wildlife on tv and never have they been mentioned about swaying. So i don't agree with this.

Swaying and head bobbing means they are stressed and bored. And why do they use bull hooks. This is not a real sanctuary.

I love elephants too and it's really sad that we have too few of them left.
In some African countries like Botswana and others, the elephants are overpopulated.
Except human north america has every other species near to extinction.
Looks more like a circus type place where the elephants are made to perform. Isn't that that they are supposed to be freed from? Also, I am not sure I agree about that statement on elephants swaying. That is typically something that happens to them when they are stuck in tiny enclosures at zoos and they don't have room to roam. Also, that metal contraption she was carrying. What's it used for? Not liking what I see.

They give elephant rides here for $40. The elephants are made to perform like circus acts. This is definitely not a sanctuary.

Where did the lady leading the group at the entrance get her statistics from? Wild Asian elephants have a much longer life span in the wild than 18 to 22 years.

I've watched this a couple times. I notice little tidbits that stand out and/or irk me. Say what you will, but I'll say this: something's fishy.
A real Sanctuary doesn't allow rides or performing. They let elephants be elephants. Riding can permanently destroy an elephants back.

This not a good place for elephants! If it were then they wouldn't be carrying sticks, doing things on command like sit ' which is painful to them or riding on them which can leave them with painfull arthritis, chronic foot problems and sagging of the back or even broken backs. Elephants backs are not like that of a horse. Where horses have flat spinal cords, elephants vertebrae are vertical. This message comes from individuals that spread awareness by mouth or social media for large activists like The ADI, The Humane Society, Wildlife S.O.S., Born free PETA, and others. For more information you can call any animal activist group you would like. PLEASE! DON'T RIDE AN ELEPHANT. These elephants in order to tame, had to go through some sort of pajaan, the crush. Please look it up.

And I wonder why this facility would allow them to be ridden? Or do anything but elephants allowed to do elephant things. Observation only is great.
They are not here for our amusement nor our "feel good, I support elephants fix'. We allow their slaughter, their exhibition, their torture and mistreatment, our guilt and our human expansion and loss of habitat.
So tourists should go home and wake up,to our role and responsibility in saving not just these magnificent, highly intelligent creatures but less cute or gentle species, like bats and snakes.

DON’T DO IT. UNFORTUNATELY UNINFORMED PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE PERPETUATING THESE ELEPHANTS MISERY. SWAYING RHYTHMICALLY IS A SIGN OF STRESS AND MAKING THEM PERFORM CIRCUS TRICKS IS UNNATURAL BEHAVIOUR FOR THESE LARGE CREATURES. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT LEARNING THESE TRICKS INVOLVES SUSTAINED CRUELTY AT A YOUNG AGE TO THESE POOR CREATURES. CHECK OUT THE WHITE OAKS SITE AND THE TENNESSEE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY SITE. I see in the video that people are riding the elephants. I thought it wasn’t good for the elephants to ride them? Because their backs aren’t meant for riding. Just like Zebras.
