- Have you ever gotten up close and personal with an elephant? Well in this episode we visited Myakka Elephant Ranch in Myakka, FL. We had the opportunity to give elephants a bath and even pet them. What an unforgettable experience!

I want to go here, I love elephants and live in Sarasota!! So you basically pay to do their work? Great idea on their part! I still want to go!
Awesome! Yeah it's just out east in Myakka. Not too bad of a drive depending on where you are in Sarasota.
You get education about the elephants as well as the opportunity give the elephants a spa treatment. So yes, you are essentially paying to do their work lol. Genius business idea on their part but honestly, how many people can say they've scrubbed or washed an elephant?
Overall a really cool experience being that close to an elephant.

This is the Spa Encounter package. You take turns with a group of about 20 people to spray, scrub, and bathe the elephants. Afterwards you get the educational session from the caretakers.
@@SofieAndStephen thanks for the reply & that’s what i thought. are you able to take pictures with the elephants outside at all?
@@FreshhCutz In the video you can see where we took pictures -- standing in front of the elephants but separated by a gate/fencing. Once the elephants are outside, you can take pictures of them but not with them.

What kind of soap you give them because of there sensitive skin
I'm really not sure what kind of soap they use. I am sure they use a very special soap for the elephants since they are a ranch that specializes in the care of elephants. If you'd like to learn more, you can contact the ranch: www.myakkaelephantranch.org/.
Where are the babies?
I'm not sure that there are babies at the facility. I didn't see any. I believe they just have the 3 adult elephants.
