Maybe a video on executive dysfonctioning? I find it reall hard to just wake up and go to school/work, do my chores, eat, etc. I just want to floss in the mirror and do researches about my special interests, so I feel like doing all these things, I lack of time for the things I really want to do...
    thanks for making informative videos!

My son (now 25) was diagnosed with AS when he was 5 years old. To make him more aware that he wasn't alone in his condition (and yes, to reassure the frazzled mom that is me, lol) I created a pictograph for him with famous people throughout history who may have had or who displayed AS. Darryl Hannah, Dan Ackroyd and Tim Burton were the tip of my iceberg. I went back as far as Mozart....Andy Warhol, Jim Henson, Jim Carrey, Alexander Graham Bell, Bill Gates, and a lot more than I can remember. I made a banner at the bottom of this pictograph saying 'Who you can become when you grow up'. I'm not implying everyone I researched had AS because obviously we can't ask most of them now. It's my belief that people with AS, as frustrating and (at times) embarrassing as it can be for those who love them, the world would be less if it wasn't for them.

Dan Harmon created not only rick and morty but also a tv series called Community, it was during creating the Aspergers character Abed that he came to the realization of his own aspergers, Community is a great series and if you haven't seen it you should, well worht a watch, great series. Im waiting for the film :)

When directing a film, Kubrick gives attention to every small detail. And he is an ultra perfectionist. And every time, he gets things literally. Those things also could be his traits with autism.

  • @DanaPatriciaMary1

Hi all. This video is so interesting to me because I found out that I am an Aspie only a couple of months ago (I had no idea before, neither my family or friends, so it was a shock but at the same time I take it as a blessing and I also understand why some things keep happening to me). You mentioned driving. I do drive but in the beginning, I was always incredibly anxious before driving. But hey, I found out that I was anxious only BEFORE driving and when I overcame the anxiety and got into the car, the anxiety was gone immediately, I turned on my favourite music and really ENJOYED the driving. So for those of you scared of driving, try to overcome the fear and maybe you will enjoy the ride too. Another topic - I am actually a married mother of two young children aged 5 and 8. And I have no problems with parenting. So if some of you are considering having children, go for it. You can actually be a great parent, oriented to details - a very careful one. So my advice for life is: DO NOT FEAR.

I was recently diagnosed with Asperger's (about 2 years ago) and am the proud parent of a 7 year old girl and 1 year old boy. Asperger's can add a whole new layer of challenge, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you for the informative videos and sharing your stories. Keep it up 🙂

My 23 year old son with Aspergers just got his driver's license! He could have gotten it years ago but was too scared, now he is so happy with himself. The next step is he has to get a job, he has a bad back which also can be associated with Aspergers. I am worried, his dad and I aren't going to live forever.

As an aspiring who wants to get into singing and acting this is so inspiring to me. I really love singing and acting but have some trouble with the facial expressions but with this I know I can do it with the right teacher. :)

The Aspie World Still on this kick... I really think Daniel Day Lewis and Christian Bale show very strong autistic traits (avoid eye contact, don’t really attend social events, hate being interviewed, eccentric, angry outbursts, method actors who get extremely in character, and can imitate people very well.

Vincent D'onofrio (Wilson Fisk in Netflix's Daredevil) is another actor that is believed to be on the spectrum - he has said he believes he would have been diagnosed as a child if it was a more widely known thing due to the struggles he had and how differently he felt his mind works than friends and others he knows.

I would have love to have meet Stanley Kubrick he was a genius. Chocolate Orange was ban in 70's but in one of the best films of all time. Based around Anthony Bergress book but having furthest music. He turned the book into his own future vision. A visionary is what a lot film critic call Kubrick.
That electronical music was then made hugely popular by Kaftwerk.

Dan Akroyd is my all-time FAVORITE actor. I ALWAYS loved his movies, I liked him cause I heard he's A SUPER guy. To me he became AWESOME when I found out he had Asperger's, too. It's really cool to find out you have something in common with your favorite actor. Did you know that "Ghostbusters," was originally wrote to star with Dan Akroyd and Jim Belushi? The reason Bill Murray was cast was because Jim Belushi had died of an overdose on a speedball of a combo of heroin and cocaine. It was a tragic waste of a REAL funny guy, I LOVED him as Jake Blues, in the "Blues Brothers," and as Blutoski in "Animal House."

I have suspected for a few years I may have aspergers, I am terrified as to what anyone may think about my ability to parent. there are some things I find difficult... but I don't think my ability to parent is compromised too much. if I get tested, what happens after that? I suspect that my favorite artist/filmmaker, David Lynch, is on the spectrum but is undiagnosed. It really helps seeing people oneself succeeding the areas that you wish to be competent in. So, Dan Harmon is great to see.
