Bulgaria. It's a shame I can't be diagnosed as an adult here, but you're practicly always describing me in your videos about symptoms. Minus the sarcastic part, I'm Chandler from Friends and Dorothy from The Golden Girls. 😅 Learned a lot about fitting by making people laugh from sitcoms. 👨💻 And I'm hyposensitive. I had a meltdown today at work and I feel ashamed cause I wasn't nice. Not really rude, but not nice. Did you ever feel like that after a meltdown?
My 25 year old son has Autism. I didn’t recognise it in his childhood as it wasn’t really spoken about. He did go for extra tuition as he had trouble naming objects. He knew exactly what they were, but he couldn’t process it properly. He loved having boundaries, is about as honest as it gets, and if plans change…..it’s not pretty lol. I adore him. He runs his own floor laying business, has a home, a long term girlfriend, but can still be uncomfortable with people. I’m so proud of him.
You're a good Mom. My Mom would call me a bum and told me no woman would ever tolerate me. I believed her. Once I asked her what she was drinking. She said "coffee." I asked if I could have some (I was like 3) and she told me that it would make me have breasts like a woman and to this day I have never even so much as tried coffee. She had no idea how literally I took what she told me. One odd thing about my version of the syndrome is that I remember everything including birth and beyond. Everything.
You sound like a fantastic mom. The fact is that you except your son and that’s so much. My parents are cool people and I love them but they won’t even talk or admit that I have autism. It’s some thing that’s very embarrassing to them and for me it’s not embarrassing. I have a daughter now as well, but she’s young and it’s so motivating seeing parents like you. ❤️
Oh gosh, I’m female in my early 60’s, I wasn’t diagnosed until I was in my mid 50’s. It was such a relief, as I had struggled all of those years wondering why I wasn’t quite the same as my peers and everyone else. Life was so difficult, as a very little girl I knew I was going to be a loner, and I really didn’t want that. But that’s what I have become. I love animals and feel so comfortable around them, and they seem to like me! I have a good job that really suits my condition, doing very detailed planning, but working from home, alone of course. It’s been tough, but at least now I know why. Thank you for your content, it helps xx
Ditto about everything you said! I'm 70 and wasn't diagnosed until I was 60 so I know exactly where you're coming from! Isn't it a relief to know we finally found our tribe and that we are not alone anymore!
60 myself and I only learned 3 years ago. I know the feeling of relief alright. Do you know something though? I am glad I never knew. I lived life the hard way, with no special concessions and so I learned to fight for myself, to toughen up as a sailor and in the army, and through many adventures on both sides of the law which force one to become more than an easier life might have made them. Today I know I am a very formidable man mentally and physically and emotionally. I look at my peers, some of whom I've known since childhood and none of their lives appeal to me more than my own. They seem so shallow and limited in their awareness of life, the planet, and all the different cultures on it. Because not fitting in anywhere, actually shields one from parochialism and bigotry I think. Plus once I figured out how my brain is miswired, I've learned I've got insane pattern recognition and a video-like memory which is almost a superpower now I've learned to work it. I used to think I was an alien. Now I know I am. 👽🤗
i cant get western jokes, however Russian jokes are great, i get them just fine, and i get along with them better than most people, i hate bright lights, social gatherings, or surprises, i like to budget and to plan, months or even years ahead amd it isnt anxiety or social anything, we simply aware of our surrounding while the rest vast in their ignorance
@@krazeemetalchickstewart9961 they arent fading away, you are just getting used to and no longer paying attention to them, just like the '' it get better'' movement a while back, not it doesnt get better, you just learn to live with it
I am an Aspie woman in the American South raised in a family who hated my disorder. I also have children and literally have not had a set routine in years bc I have been forced to be flexible. I think when I'm old I'll just be a hermit with cats. That's the dream now.
Jesus loves you more than you could ever know. He understands what you are going through and He does care and would love to give you a peace that this world can never give you. He wants to heal your heart and mind if you would only turn to Him. There is life after death and the most important decision you will ever make is where you will spend eternity, but there are only 2 places you can spend eternity, heaven or hell. The Bible says that you can know that you have eternal life in heaven, but If you are putting your trust in anything other than the finished work of Jesus on the cross to get you to heaven, you do not understand God's way. Please let me share with you how you can be 100% sure you are heading in the right direction. The Bible says that we are all sinners. When God created Adam and Eve, He made them perfect without sin, but they chose to disobey God and became sinful in nature. This sin nature was passed down to all humanity. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Your sin separates you from God. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; A holy, righteous God cannot allow sin into heaven. Sin must be paid for and God's price for sin is death, but not just a physical death, but a spiritual death which means separation from God forever in a lake of fire in hell. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. In the Old Testament when man sinned, God required the sacrifice of a perfectly spotless lamb as a substitute to pay for the sins of each person. The blood of that lamb was only a temporary payment for their sin and so this had to be done often. Jesus Christ, God's Son took on flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and offered Himself as that perfect, spotless Lamb and shed His blood as payment for the sins of the whole world. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Jesus loved you so much He WILLINGLY came and allowed wicked men to spit on Him, mock Him and scourge Him until He was unrecognizable as a man. They stripped him naked, thrust a crown of thorns on His head and nailed His hands and feet to a cross. He hung in agony for hours bleeding, thirsting, struggling for every breath. He died innocently in your place so that you could be saved from going to hell. It was His blood that satisfied the just demands of a holy God. God will not accept anything else. There is no greater love than that! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The good news is that Jesus didn't stay dead in the grave. He came back to life 3 days later just like He promised and He still lives today! Matthew 28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Friend, Jesus did all this because He wants to give you the FREE gift of eternal life in heaven with Him! You cannot do anything to earn your own way into heaven. You can't work for it, be baptized for it, go to church for it or try to be good enough for it. You must stop believing that you can get there on your own merit. It is a FREE gift that God is offering to you if you will simply receive it by faith. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast. God said there is only one way to get to heaven, but it is not hard. You must admit you are a sinner headed for hell and you can't save yourself. You must believe that Jesus died and paid for your sin with His own blood on the cross, then He was buried and 3 days later rose from the dead. Then you must repent and turn to God and call on Him for mercy to save you from hell and give you eternal life in heaven with Him. Romans 10:9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. None of us deserve God's mercy and grace, but let me warn you friend, don't be deceived because if you reject His FREE gift, you are already condemned and when you die, you will suffer the torment of burning in hell for eternity in a lake of fire where you will be forever separated from God and all that is loving and good. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Please don't wait! Don't take the risk of putting it off until another day, repent, turn to Christ NOW wherever you are at because you aren't guaranteed to live another day on this Earth. Believe God's Word, ask Him to save you and He will do it just like He promised. The choice is yours to make. ---------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like more information or don't have a church to attend, we livestream our services and would love for you to join us. older aspie female who laments not having kids because i couldn't get my act together in time- diagnosed at 39 and it took some more years to overcome a lifetime of confusion; still barely stable. Having kids as aspie must be very very tough, so major respect and best wishes to you.
I am high-functioning Aspie, you nailed me on three of the nine symptoms. My wife is a psychologist, and she introduced me to her friend who was also a psychologist. In less than one minute, her friend took her aside and said in a low voice, "You know he's Aspie, don't you?" and my wife replied, "Oh, yes!" Being a psychologist, she seems to know how to deal with my Aspie quirks.
Hi I'm like you although not officially diagnosed. My wife about 7 years ago studied and passed as a Councillor, conversations with one of her fellow students who was quite knowledgeable on autism pointed out to my wife the same way in a discreet manner, since then I've studied the subject and learnt a great deal about myself, so many past situations now make a lot of sense. I am happy with what I am and I embrace the good points about being an aspire.
A guy in my class has Aspergers, and he genuinely wants to correct our teacher in the most innocent way he can and then he says, "oh he's was mad? Its because I didn't say sorry, people like to hear sorry." 😂😂😂😂 and I love him. He's been my favorite buddy since he told our vice principal that his hair was on wrong🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was that boy many years ago when aspergers was unknown. Got me into a lot of trouble with the teachers, who thought I was arrogant, and most of my peers, who thought I was a smart ass, or awkward.
Is that why I have to correct typos in books I read? They drive me up the wall. Still, they scored me membership of a couple of Advanced Reader Clubs 😁
I have undiagnosed Asperger's, but I can relate to all of these symptoms you've talked about. I'm hypersensitive to light, to loud noises and smells. Not only that, but I'm a very anxious and emotional person, easily break into tears. My condition led me to self harm, depression and very bad social anxiety. Eight years ago I gave up on trying to socialize and make friends altogether. Growing up in a toxic family that doesn't care lead to an excruciating existence.
Wow, that must have been terrible for you! I can't even imagine how you experienced your childhood. But I do believe that you are able to improve your life qute a bit! A good social life, friendship and love are just around the corner. But you must believe it and have the courage to "get into" it. Good luck! You ARE going to make it! I have the Asperger syndrom. Any day know, I am going to find out if the woman I love wants to meet me or not. Do you think I'm nervous? Well, of course I am. I am very nervous. Very soon, I will be extremely happy or severely depressed. In either case, I am going to love this woman for ever. I know now that she is my one and only. She has made me so happy. I want to meet her often and I want to make her happy. That is all from me for now. Now you just stay strong and be happy, OK?
@@peterwolff2414 Thank you for the thoughtful and kind words; it's heartwarming to know that someone out there cares :) I'm trying to fit into society, doing a volunteer job, and visiting a therapist weekly. Having to believe that I can achieve a bright and well deserved happy ending is still almost impossible, but at the very least, I don't mind being alive these days. I wish you the very best as well
sad to hear you struggled so much. im undiagnosed too but my son is on the spectrum and was diagnosed at 4. ive always struggled in life and turned to drugs for large periods either to help me socialise or to relax. hope things get better for you.
My son has Asperger's he is thirty six and has brought me the most happiness. I had to develop a tough skin because he has no filter. I was talking with him about being an organ donor. Trying to encourage him so I proudly proclaimed I was a donor and he flatly asked me what did I have left in me that was any good to offer .
As a kid, my obsessive interests lasted for periods, and then I’d hop onto other ones. Nowadays; some obsessions come and go, and some stick in the long term.
Yup same. This has unfortunately given me trouble trying to turn obsessive interests into a career though cause I'll be super into something for a while, try to learn a bunch about it and then once I feel I've learned everything i want to know about it I'll just move on to a new interest. Some of my more long term interests are things that are harder to turn inti a career (example: anime)
Actually I'm currently in a college course I was formerly interested in but now that I have new interests I'm finding it hard to focus at all because All my other interests are the only things I want to think about anymore. I remember telling someone in my family that I was having a hard time trying to focus on my work in college and their advice was to target my obsessiveness to my college work. I tried but as it turns out you can't really control what the interests are🙁.
I definitely can relate to the social awkwardness. I hate being out with a group of people... I always feel like I don't belong/fit in. I do better if I can connect with one person and have meaningful (not awkward) conversation with them, but that seems rare.
I'm 53, and was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 50! Both of my children are also on the spectrum. I get myself in trouble often for not knowing when to stop talking about my special interests (mainly anatomy and physiology) and I don't make friends easily. My mom recently found some old report cards of mine from 1st and 2nd grade, the teacher comments proved to me that they had no understanding of Autism (especially in girls) and just thought I was a behavior problem child. Ugh. I'm really just starting to learn more about the way my brain is wired, and learning to accept myself and all my quirky traits.
My social anxiety is really hard to deal with.. My family gets frustrated with me sometimes. I don't have friends to worry about. I hate not knowing everything about where I'm going. Having a plan and researching the place helps.
My whole life is rekt by it talking to feel anxious eye contact is hard for me, phone calls I've lost work because I find extremely difficult answer calls or phone people messaging not so bad but I still get anxious
@@jongantz8667 Most people don't, but Aspies can't help it, they don't realize they are talking nonstop. My grandson has Aspergers, his obsession now is politics of all things! It is day and night, and when I am with him, he talks non-stop about things I didn't know even though I am a political junky and do a lot of research. He used to write, his poetry was absolutely mind-blowing when he was young, and no one would believe he wrote it! When my grandson gets going, I can't get a word in, when I do try and interrupt, he says "Grandma, be quiet, I'm trying to finish my thoughts!" It is difficult, I know, but both my son and grandson gave Aspergers, and I do believe this was why my son did not have friends when he was young.
I'm watching on a computer. I'm not officially diagnosed but recognized what I am earlier this year after discovering what Asperger's was (I was looking it up after reading about David Byrne's description of himself). Finding a description of myself that explained the social problems (not getting along with others, ostracism, bullying at school etc.) that I've encountered during the past 69 years as well as why I am so focused on my technical interests was a revelation. At last I found where I sit in a world really I don't like living in. The eye contact thing: as Morpheus said in The Matrix "I know exactly what you mean". It IS as if I am opening my soul to someone and it is intensely uncomfortable. I slowly became aware during my 40s that I was doing this in long discussions about some pet subject. I think on one level it was like "I am sending a message but I don't know what". When I occasionally did in a social setting I usually got such a hostile return stare that I quickly shut down. My obsessive interest - electronics - indeed became my lifelong earner. It started as a hobby when I was about 7 years old. Because I knew it so well by the time school had ended for me I was able to get a job easily and make it my own. All without a degree or formal study. And I LOVE designing at component level most of all. The aim every time: maximum simplicity and elegance for minimum cost, circuit board size, component count and originality - I do not copy what others have done. One of my ex-colleagues at the polytechnic where I worked as a technician once said to me that "your designs are strange but they always work". I took that as a huge compliment coming from a PhD. Sorry for the rant. You just described me in stark detail. I identify with every point you made (and I am not being wise after the fact). I am what I am and at last I know what that is. Thankyou.
The world we are living in today appears like kindergarten behavioural patterns adapted for pseudo evolved adults interested on their own confort zone. How do I see my environment and human condition? We are just star dusts living for a very short period of time at the scale of the universe and most of what humans are doing is complete madness and nonsense in my perspective…
Now I understand, for so long I thought i was the only one in the World that had all these issues. I've been bullied and called a weirdo all my life ,but I worked hard to get where I am. I still struggle with myself, but listening to you made me realize I can be me . Thankyou 💖

The social anxiety rears it's head when trades people have to come into the house😥😵! Some appliance needs fixing, internet problems, they have to come into my home, my comfort zone! Hate it!
I’m almost 50 and suspect I am on the spectrum. My biggest thing that holds me back is the social aspect. I am pretty smart and have always wanted to work in the medical field but as soon as I think about having to work with a team of people and all that it entails, I feel panicked. It is one of my obsessions but sadly will never happen because I just can’t get past the unknowns of working with strangers. I’ve learned to “fit in” in my little circle of church and friends and I don’t think anyone has a clue how anxious I get in those settings. Thank you so much for this video and for letting me know I’m not alone in my struggles.
My obsession with repetitive patterns, my attention to detail, my appreciation for the subtle shades of meaning found in vocabulary, and my special interest in Spanish (specifically Spanish grammar) led me to a 29 year career as a Spanish teacher. Spanish is not my first language, but the logic behind the grammar, the protocols with few irregularities, the beautiful simplicity of phonetic spelling, again with few irregularities, all played into my Aspie strengths.
My son has Aspergers and we are currently battling to not lose Spanish from his curriculum because they want to move him into a smaller group in order to manage him better within the school. He is only in year seven. They want to change his timetable and drop the languages completely for his entire schooling. He appears to have a talent for Spanish and enjoys it so it bothers me a lot. It’s a hobby of mine, hace veinte años que estudio español, and we get to share this now. I was looking forward to how this would develop for him and I know it represents a potentially good grade for him in the future. He may decide to pursue languages in the future and you have just highlighted that that could be possible. It’s quite upsetting for me. Thanks for your comment.
@@machinegunk5090 A.S.D. presents itself differently in different individuals. But the Aspergers part of the spectrum often comes with particular "talents" and "special interests" that can lead to a strong connection with certain topics. If you child is enjoying Spanish, or any other class / topic, it would be counterproductive to take that away, even if it is challenging. In my Spanish classroom I taught a variety of kids with a variety of different conditions, A.S.D (including Aspergers), A.D.H.D., F.A.S.D., concussions, physical disabilities (including motor skills), etc. Some of the students had the benefit of a Spec. Ed. support person in the classroom, others had access to an Academic Success support class for additional guidance when needed, and modifications were made to curriculum materials to accommodate the students' I.E.P. (Individual Education Plan). I would communicate with the school and your child's I.E.P. advocate to seek other workable options which will allow your child to remain in a mainstream classroom and the classes they enjoy and in which they show an interest.
@@tofersiefken Thank you for the reply. We are certainly in communication with the school over this. The smaller group is still in mainstream but appears to be their way of using my son’s classroom assistant to also teach other children whilst removing him from the core subjects so he doesn’t disrupt other children. This would involve juggling the timetable, hence losing the Spanish and adding extra English. Some of the pupils in this small group would have a reading age of 8. My son’s reading age is currently about 12, he’s 11. I wonder whether they can actually do this? They are undervaluing the languages greatly in my opinion. And I don’t know how his full potential with Spanish- but his pronunciation is always superb. Thanks again.
When my husband was diagnosed I was relieved. I learned his actions were because he was wired differently (A. Spectrum) . I was very frustrated at his behaviors before the diagnosis ,feeling he was doing things to aggravate me. I am happy to find your UA-cam channel to help me learn more.
Exactly!! I always thought if I looked people in the eye, they can see everything inside me.. know my secrets, etc... they don't call them windows to the soul for no reason!
Learning about masking makes my life make so much more sense. I've had deep conversations with friends talking about what we don't like about ourselves and when I tell them I have severe social anxiety, I've been told I seem like I have no anxiety and I don't have social issues, but inside I always have this overwhelming dread of how I'm coming off and if I'm being awkward.
Same. My friends think I am really extroverted. No, I just know (rather knew, this was years ago) how to talk to people or how to manipulate my body to seem like I had confidence.
I'm 46 this year and have spent my whole life masking because as a child it would annoy people when I talked about things that interested me. I tried to act like everyone else and its so tiring. The only place I can be truly myself is at home with my husband and kids.
@@lilgit9969 The worst part is, as a kid, I had trouble fitting in with "normies". I didn't have a word for it then, but I was different from almost everyone. I still get the side-eyes from relatives. It's like they couldn't forgive that I was into exploring outside and learning all about the animals, plants, rocks, etcetera. I was "weird". Different. It doesn't matter anymore. The worst part is I remember a lot of random things, some big, some small. When I will bring up a long-ago memory to a relative, a positive one or a funny one, they will look at me like I have a third eye on my head. They get uncomfortable because they don't remember, and I get the feeling they think I made it up. Always the side-eye, I don't even know what it means when they give me that and act uncomfortable. I got the side-eye for remembering an aunt's name, she was the ex-wife of one of my uncles. He was showing me pictures another relative gave him, and he had a 5x7 of a woman with sort of a bee-hive (1970's bouffant hairdo). I paused, as did he. He was only married to her for about 10 years, if that. I blurted, "Oh, that's aunt So-And-So!" He raised his brows and was about to exclaim something. He was surprised and caught off guard, I guess. But then he raised his eyes and looked directly at me, like he forgot he was talking to me. He squinted suspiciously and said slowly, "Yes. That's her." No smile. I think I wasn't supposed to remember who it was. (How could I forget this woman's blue or pink hair, and her cinched-waist dresses that looked similar to 1950's dresses?) I swear to God, growing up back home in the rural parts, it was frustrating that girls are supposed to be stupid (or perhaps they were supposed to be good at their studies but also know their places, and not be so clever). I was the weird one of the family, while my cousins and sister, adored by all, were proper girls, dresses and all, and none of them did anything scientific at all unless it was in the curriculum. My point in this long story is this: people with autism symptoms have trouble fitting in because they aren't like the rest. Some people never forget the weirdness of such a child. While one can get better at masking, or because perhaps someone helps them see a better way to fit in, it doesn't mean the core person isn't there. I, also, get really tired after a lot of interactions with people. It's the quiet life for me from here on out; the kids are all gone, and I'm down to one cat and my spouse.
@@BlackSeranna Yep I hear you. As a child even in my own family I was called the black sheep among other things. My friend group was ok but I knew I wasnt into the same things they were into and by the time I left school I dropped all of my friends. I left the UK 15 years ago and the only person I told was my Mom.
I’m a 43 year old woman that found out I was an aspie 7 years ago, and the first 3 years I don’t count because it was the last straw that broke my mind. I was in and out of institutions. Now I’m very grateful for the diagnosis and it helps me understand a lot of me, and my past troubles.
I never know if you have to hold it for the whole conversation or just part of it? I have to count in my head and then I end up looking away when the discomfort gets to be too much
I thought I may be on the spectrum but after watching this I know I am for sure. Everything described in the video I can relate to. I have all nine signs. I wonder every day why im different. Now I get it. It's a good feeling to know im not alone in this. Most people wouldn't realize I have all 9 traits described here, but anyone who works with me would come to the same realization I just did. I have a huge issue with dating due to this. I obsess, I don't like extended eye contact and most importantly I don't understand basic social cues that are essential to flirtation and seduction. I am extremely sensitive in general, though I'm especially sensitive to loud noise and strong odors. I feel so much better knowing that I am not a freak, I'm just a bit autistic and had never realized it until watching this video. Thanks man.
Yes!! Did you see these videos on getting an assessment? ua-cam.com/play/PLsnq_HpT7puSMrw4ZBMu21ImFvExNH6rv.html Thank you so much for the comment! Make sure you are subscribed and have the notifications turned on :).
I'm not sure how to comment here, but I would like to talk about my circumstances that have been my life and how I can get from where I am to where I am supposed to be,.!? For the past year I've followed Dr. Jordan Peterson and that has helped me to Internally articulate and act more according to what I feel is right and good and meaningful. I have 7 kids from 7yrold to 22yr old have a business that is getting further and further behind since my divorce 3 or 4 Year ago we were together from my age 18 and her 16 until I was 38 and I'm 43! My social life was completely centered around my family and I had other people that took care of my business and now Iits just me and I can't keep things organized.i used to think that I just put on a business face when I did and do business but looking back and now at the present I can see that the mask is something I keep on unless I feel safe and that's just with my kids. I haven't dated since being married and I now just spend my time with my 3 youngest son's and daughter and try to keep my business going but I feel like my kids are growing up and I'm just going to be alone. I'm not sure what to do I don't think medicine is a complete awnser and I don't have health insurance so there's that! Side note my 10 year old son had his first day of football practice which I'm really excited about for him but I m afraid to talk to anyone because it will just become obvious that I'm odd and we'll there's that! I was volunteering as a firefighter and I was able to make it through everything except the physical test at the end because I injured my shoulder,it's probably the biggest letdown for me that I can think of it makes me feel meaningless and I started because I love it and now, gone until I can fix my shoulder somehow? I could talk for hours more but I need to get my boys to sleep another day is coming is here! I've read a few comments and felt like maybe it would help to try to connect maybe something else is wrong with me? Is there ever any group meetings where there can be real time life contact via video and audio?
Autism has such stigma. A few years back, one of my autistic friends invited me to a group on Facebook called Slightly Autistic. At first I thought it was a joke, but I joined. I soon learned that I had a lot of the characteristics. I then realized a couple of my siblings also had these traits. I tried to speak to one of them and she blurted, "We're fine! We don't have any problems!" I said, "It isn't bad. I just think it's useful to know. To which my sister again blurted, "Well, it doesn't change anything!" I said, "NO, but it would have been helpful if I knew when I was younger, maybe?" And my sister gave me a Look, it's the one where she might think I'm being a little crazy or Making Stuff Up. It's so dumb that Autism has such a stigma. I think all people see is the bad parts of it, or the people with the most Autism are the ones that make the papers (mostly for bad reasons).
Thank you so much I have been married to a man with Asperger's for 32 years Not easy to adjust to, but everything you have mentioned applies to him Now he is retired after a brilliant career and has taken to a life in bed What has been the hardest for me was, before he was diagnosed with Asperger's, was his complete not understanding my needs. They were not part of his world.... Nor anybody's Now I know that he cannot relate to another's needs, I'm content to live with him and happily live with my own life ,not worrying that he was so very different from the "' norm'' Thank you again... I hope that your list has helped others to learn to adjust for their own hopes ,living with an Asperger's companion or child
Oh wow I’m watching this thinking maybe my husband is Asperger’s not even knowing it , no eye contact but very brilliant great career that’s all he thinks of talks about no clue w my needs , talks so loud , interesting thing is our son is diagnosed with ASD I’m wondering if it can be hereditary ? Thanks for sharing comment,

My husband eye flutters a lot can’t make eye contact or manga in it. He flips out easily like over emotional but it’s more anger like tantrums and sets off easy.
I was diagnosed ASD/Aspergers recently at the age of 36. I struggled a lot with eye contact as a kid; not just because it made me uncomf but also because I don't didn't understand it was necessary. I can hear you juuuust fine without looking at you, thank you very much! Anywho, I remember having a sit-down with my grandfather where he had to "teach" me the social nuances and rules of eye contact. Now, sometimes, I make too much eye contact.
My first wife thought I wasn’t listening to her because I wasn’t looking at her or that I might be lying because of the lack of eye contact. I didn’t know about aspies then.
I used to make my Aspie son look me in the eye when we were having a serious discussion. I figured fairly quickly that he got severe anxiety and heard none of what I said when I forced him to look at me. That was the probably the first solid clue to me when he was about 7 that he might be on the spectrum.
The eye contact thing was what clued me in. I think the first few decades of my life I didn't even realize it was a thing. The obsessive interest thing was/is totally me too. Only later I realized I had a lot of other habits like stimming and related tics, some of which I got over, some still hang around and emerge from time to time.
i make NT people uncomfortable with my eye contact too. i think the term struggles with eye contact is nice, because it really does include people who internalised that people like being looked in the eye, and did it too much. its v often like that with nd
Thanks for your video! The woman I'm interested in, just told me she has aspergers. So I'm trying to learn as much as I can. She's a brilliant woman and is very caring, so understanding her is my number one priority! I'm watching from a phone.
I’m an adult, 57 years old, and believe I have Asperger’s, but haven’t been diagnosed. When I was younger I was told I was too loud so many times that now I’m often told I’m too quiet. All of these points describe me perfectly, especially the idea of routines. If my morning routine is interrupted or changed, I panic and know I’ll have a difficult day. People I know really well, I usually get their jokes, but I struggle with jokes I’m not expecting. If I’m sure a joke is coming, I do pretty well, but still miss them fairly often. I have problems with social interaction until I’m really comfortable with the people involved. At work, when I work with a team for a long time, I start feeling comfortable. Change one person and it gets awkward. Sounds, touch, smell and food texture really overwhelm me.
Yep! I was at my local grocery a few weeks ago and they were remodeling and I couldn't find my Chapstick and had a total meltdown right there. I can't go back there until the remodel is complete in February.
@@drewmiller3462 I wish the people from the marketing department understood that changing the places of the products is NOT going to entice us to buy the new or alternative things they want to sell us (this is why they change where the products are) but also it is so time-consuming and annoying to try and find the product if it is not in its usual place especially when the only reason why I go shopping is to quickly get the things on my list, pay and get out of the shop! And don't get me started about chinwags looking for a chat when I shop, I go as far as possible away, and try to get the suff on the list and quickly get out, or if they stop me for a chat I tell them I need the loo; shops are for shopping not a place for a meeting to disclose one's life story, which some people seem to not understand! 🙂

You must stop believing that you can get there on your own merit. It is a FREE gift that God is offering to you if you will simply receive it by faith. You must believe that Jesus died and paid for your sin with His own blood on the cross, then He was buried and 3 days later rose from the dead. Then you must repent and turn to God and call on Him for mercy to save you from hell and give you eternal life in heaven with Him. Hi girls I'm 55 as yet undiagnosed I live in Spain, looking for diagnosis well more official confirmation really... But I know it... Already since this realisation I feel more peace and understanding within and of myself... Hoping diagnosis isn't going to be too traumatic...
My husband hums when he is focused on something, and yes he gets obsessive with his interest of the moment. He can talk for hours about his obsession of the moment. Oh my God, I must have been a nitemare for him, after listening to you talk about routine, because I am late for everything have no routine, in actual fact I'm a disaster! Yes he doesnt understand joking unless he is belittling me, then says that u cant take a joke. I started saying, not when it's always on me. He has never been comfortable if there are more than 5 people in a room. He will just leave without telling me. I can not tell you how many times he abandoned me with no way to get home over the years, and for the first 20 years I would not want to leave thinking maybe he'll come back. He was six years old the first time he left a family wedding, that was on the other side of town to where he lived. He got a belting from his dad, as they had called the police and stayed out till 5 in the morning looking for him, but he did it everytime they went to a family function. How was he never tested. I suppose in those days they didn't know what it was. Thank you. You have helped me understand him better.
Excellent video! I have a 31 year old son with classic Asperger’s. Incidentally, he is a stickler for pointing out when someone gets tiny details wrong. He was diagnosed at age 6, & the early intervention helped make him the high functioning adult he is today. So when he was diagnosed, as a child HE initiated learning everything about it himself. That was almost his first fixation- learning about Hans Asperger, the Austrian doctor who discovered it. He pointed out to me AND the school psychologist we were mispronouncing it (funny coming from a 6 yr old!) -as Dr. Asperger was Austrian & spoke German, where all ‘G’’s are Hard G’s. He was always correcting adults on factual things…& he’d be correct. His bookcase in his room was like a reference library! One thing you didn’t mention about Asperger’s & what separates them from people on the rest of the spectrum, is they have ‘gifted’ or ‘genius’ IQ’s. Other degrees of Autism show lower IQ’s, even lower than average. Many of the great minds in history- you mentioned Tesla, but also Einstein, Thomas Edison, Ben Franklin & more than I can recall now, had brilliant minds, but very awkward socially & poor social skills (before practical intervention!). My son had a dream of becoming a science uni professor, but his social anxiety brought him down so he couldn’t handle the pressures of university, nearly put him over the edge. Family doesn’t understand- they say “but he’s so bright he should be doing something with that brilliant mind”. He also suffers from ADD, anxiety & depression so working as a manager in a restaurant is all he can handle. But because he can handle it he’s happy & has a GF now…so now, as long as he’s happy & has been able to hold down this job for 10 years now, I know he’s doing well. You sound like a very bright, well informed young man yourself.
Being a restaurant manager requires skills, people, rules for consistency, ordering, scheduling and meeting with vendors and owners. Do not think he has been diminished. He is doing an important career. Be proud!
Fairly certain that I passed this on to three of my five kids. I was always referred to as being in my own world. People on the spectrum are gifts to the world.
Same. My special interest is sewing, but I'm socially inept and struggle with executive dysfunction, so no clue how to turn that into a career. I've struggled with jobs my entire life. In school for coding because it seemed to make sense, graduating soon and lost again... aye.
My grandson at junior school was classed as disruptive. Once he went to High School he was diagnosed with asperger's and high functioning autism. He was brilliant at many subjects especially physics. He went on from high school to college and did so well he got a place at University where he qualified in Mechanical Engineering with first class honours. So proud of him . Just shows you don't judge a book by its cover. My late husband was also on the spectrum. Little eye contact but was intensely into photography, stamp collecting. Took me all over the UK to Air Shows. That was his main passion. Miss his little quirks and his humour. Asperger's is just a different way of wiring in the brain as I told my grandson when at an early age he wanted to know why he was different. Never ever see him as different. He is who he is.
My brother, would memorize everybody in the families birthdays, anniversaries, dates when movies and songs, first came out. He rocked a lot. He was a good worker. He liked doing physical things. He liked to go and visit his friends, almost everyday. He drove and had a driver's license. He drove well, as he rocked down the road.
I have a patient with Asperger’s syndrome that comes in for chiropractic care. I also have a close friend on the spectrum. Thanks for making these videos to educate the general public 👏👍
I have an 8 year old grandson on the spectrum. He’s been spelling since he was 18 months old and reading since he was 3. He’s a genius. He reads at 12th grade level now. He can tell you everything about the American Presidents. He doesn’t get elementary books. He wants books on countries or the USA. He loves reading about natural disasters. The list goes on. He has social issues, mainly at school. He is a very literal person. Definitely doesn’t understand sarcasm or humor. I’m a very animated person with a lot of humor and comedic sarcasm. The one thing that I reiterate to my Raymond is that I love him and I am so unbelievably proud of him. He’s an amazing little boy. Thank you for your video. It’s very helpful.
My list: anthropology, dinosaurs, human anatomy, Marx, music, numbers, and spirituality Edit: and also certain conspiracy theories (like those featured on Joe Rogan)
I don't get it, truth seeking and science is that the complete opposite of spirituality and most types of fantasy. This one confuses me. Care to explain maybe, I have Asperger's so perhaps you can help me out here. 👍🏻Greetings from Netherland✌🏻
@@CKlegion7272 thinking maybe he finds interest in both spirituality and science because his goal is actually truth seeking. There's a fine line in between.
YES! And I I OBSESS over developing systems! I purchase SO many planners; so. Can break down what works and what doesn’t work - and eventually develop my own. Same thing with the clothing line intend to design; as well as a luggage system that effectively attaches together, as well as are effective separate pieces (for better organization while traveling); also, the grooming routines with myself AND clients (I’m a cosmetologist/barber). I have an obsession with how to effectively utilize my time to achieve maximum results, in a manner of sustainable and affordable quality.
OMG, thank you for this video, I literally have struggled my whole life with almost every one of these, especially the social anxiety, voice control, and sensitivity to sound and chaotic environments.
Oh my god number 8! After lunch, we always go to the same place to have our coffee. Today there was a group of people that aren't regulars. They were really loud, to the point that I wanted to leave, except that as we're regulars there, they were already brewing our coffee. When these people left, I had to have another cup, because that first one wasn't enjoyable, at all.
It seems like being an Empath is a lot like having Aspergers’s. I always thought that I was an extreme Empath, with Manic Depression or something. I’m convinced that I’m on the Spectrum, or have Asperger’s, for sure now. I’m 45. Thanx for explaining the symptoms the way you do. I’ve tried to tell doctors in the past about some symptoms, but it’s so hard to explain. Like, sensory overload. I definitely experience this sometimes, but can’t explain to the doctor.
Watch videos with Tony Attwood, this channel, and the channels "Ask an autist" and "Aspergers from the inside" to build up a picture of autism and the problems and strengths people on the spectrum has. It'll help you get a picture of what it means to be on the spectrum and it will give you a model that makes it easier to explain to your doctor. Make a list of stuff that makes you think that you are on the spectrum over several month. If the list ends up huge you'll have an answer. The same if it contains next to nothing after 6 months :-)
there are a lot of people our age (im 47) who are undiagnosed as it was only those on the more severe end who were diagnosed. we just were thought of as weird etc.
Research INFJ personality type From the Myers-Briggs personality test I had the same thoughts as you But I am an INFJ who almost exclusively dates Men with Asperger's I'm not sure why that seems to be what I'm attracted to
@@lisajewell7148 yes! I was thinking the same but didn't comment because I didn't want anyone thinking that I was being dismissive of autism spectrum disorders. Like you, I am an INFJ. Finding that out has made an enormous difference in my life. I've always felt very out of place socially and think deeply about everything. I know it's an enormous turnoff to most people, as it's overwhelming for them to think in so much depth constantly. I simply cannot do small talk and feel I've ruined some relationships due to the inability to relax and not go into detail about every tiny thing. I give all of myself to those I love and have been hurt many times because I assume the other person is doing the same for me. I try to change the things that I can about myself but have realized I am who I am, and I don't want to become someone else. I pray I find the right guy to love and marry one day. I'm not sure if that'll ever happen, but I remain hopeful. Again, I'm so glad you left the comment that you did. I'm sure there will be people to see it that will have their eyes opened when they realize they've been an INFJ all along.
I have a dear friend who has Asperger's. He's in his mid 40s. I've known him for 30+ years. Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet...once you get to know him. Haven't noticed the rocking back and forth, or lack of eye contact...but the obsessive interests, love of routines, lack of social understanding, doesn't understand jokes, and when he tries to joke, it flops. Describes him well. His social anxiety is getting better, after he took a job as a cashier where he has to interact with many different people. He's a really great guy.
“Guessing someone’s intentions, never going to happen.” That’s my life. I was just diagnosed with Aspergers last year. Most of my friends are neurotypical so it’s nice to hear from others on the spectrum.

Don't take the risk of putting it off until another day, repent, turn to Christ NOW wherever you are at because you aren't guaranteed to live another day on this Earth. Believe God's Word, ask Him to save you and He will do it just like He promised. Thank you! I’m 70, everything you listed, is me, I recently found out I have Asperger’s, in trying to understand all this you have given me a load of information that has helped tremendously, thanks for all your hard work and reaching out to us 😊
I’m in my 50s and I’ve only started wondering in the past year or so about whether I’m on the spectrum. I was a weird child who always preferred playing by myself. My pediatrician told my mother I needed to go to preschool because I wasn’t developing any social skills, and he thought being around other children would help me develop social skills. In a way, it did, because I learned how to deal with other people, but I still preferred playing by myself. I’ve always thought of myself as an extreme introvert, but I never considered being on the spectrum until I started learning about Aspergergers. I do seem to fit most of the things you’re talking about here. I don’t do eye contact, I don’t do small talk, I don’t do people in general. Especially strangers. I do everything in the most routine way possible, with almost no variance in my schedule. Eat at this time. Watch TV only during these hours. Work at my computer during specific hours. No changes. Every shirt that I own has "Disney" on it - I feel uncomfortable wearing a non-Disney shirt. My interests are beyond obsessive. I own about 12,000 CDs and 2,000 LPs. If I like a singer, I own EVERY song that singer has ever recorded. My collection is also meticulously organized, sorted alphabetically by the artist’s name and then chronologically by year of release for each recording by that artist. I also spend up to a month each year at Walt Disney World. It feels like home to me, and I’d rather go back there again and again than go someplace new. It helps that our son lives in Orlando and works for Disney, of course, but we bought the Disney version of a timeshare so we could go there multiple times per year. But I’m not obsessed or anything! 😉 Anyway, I’m starting to understand more and more why I do the things I do. I’ve been wondering if there’s a reason to see a doctor or psychologist about this; I don’t feel like I need to be "fixed" or anything, but are there reasons why it’s good to have a diagnosis at my age? I honestly don’t know. My biggest issue right now is that I’m battling a neurological disease that causes me to need to sleep a lot - I mean, a LOT, like 16 hours a day some days - and I get very out-of-sorts when my routine is disturbed.
No one wanted to play with my son.. so I got a 4 foot pool when he was 9 years old. We had the first above ground pool, in the neighborhood. Suddenly, he had the boys in the neighborhood, wanting to be his friend. This is how my son, developed social skills and working out relationship issues. The doctor told me, he could turn out to be a social path, if he didn't develop socialization skills. He's doing very well now. He has his own trucking business, since he was 28 years old. I'm proud of him!
I feel the object relationships so much! I had the hardest time throwing out toothbrushes and things for years, but then I found a hack that works pretty well: I use my poor object permanence to my advantage, and have a kind of "staging area" box into which I throw all the things I probably *should* get rid of but am not emotionally ready to part with yet. Every few months I'll go through the box and get rid of anything I've been able to move on from. It's comforting to know that if I can't move on from something, it's still there for me, but often when it's been in the closet for a few months I'm fine letting it go. It also helps me when I know I'm not just throwing something in the trash--so old toothbrushes become cleaning toothbrushes, old clothes get donated, etc. Then at least I'm not just discarding my buddy like they're complete trash--they get to go have more adventures somewhere else. ;)
@@drewmiller3462 my wife has some of these traits- we are still having a garage with stuff from her parents house that she knows she won’t use but has emotional attachments to……but she has no problem with eye contact, voice volume, no obsessive routines , a great vocabulary, can be sarcastic , plays with words so these traits of Asperger’s must be readily perceived, obvious. We all feel socially inadequate at times……….overbright lights an bother anybody as well as over loud noise……..
I am watching this because I have realized that my husband has Aspergers. He is 72, we have been together for 51 years. You have given me ideas as to how to make life easier for him. Thankyou
Really have become aware last few years of my social anxiety possibly being related to Aspergerer's or autism. The older I get the worse my anxiety becomes. Not much money to cover testing & treatment. Too bad there is little help for life crippling characteristics.
I felt the same way! During the lockdowns I finally felt like the world had slowed down to my pace. It was quiet and peaceful and hardly anyone went outside (I was always outside) I felt like it was 100 years ago, population was much less, quieter, slower paced. I actually enjoyed the lockdowns
Thank you for clarifying for me the traits for aspergers. I have ADHD, but do not think I have aspergers. I was delayed socially, and I had social anxiety a lot in the past. I can however read people socially quite quickly because of having a traumatic childhood. You become quick at reading people's emotions when your personal safety has been at stake. I rock from one foot to another when I have stand in one place for long periods of time. I rock for to save my feet from being sore than to stimulate myself though. My daughter thinks she has aspergers, so that is why I watched your video.
Thank you for doing these. My oldest sons has Asperger’s and it was very difficult to get him the therapies he needed to be productive in societies. We did a lot of role playing, structure and provided acting classes to help him integrate better in school. He was very high functioning. He also was in a fraternity and was very social, but after his job and it’s remote from home he does have social anxiety once again. His girlfriend is amazing and I’m so proud of the young man he has become. God Bless and thank you so much!
That's absolutely fine to be honest.I think most people like to look down or around when talking because you're thinking about what to say.Just look at some interviews of famous people like Eminem.
I didn't know WHY I experienced ALL of these things until you explained them as a syndrome. And I see them in varying degrees in the other members of my family. If you ever doubt that there is value in what you do with these vids, then know that you are helping others. Thanks so much. Mobile.
I quite have some elements of this, and I was always different than majority, as well as with my friends who display some of these characteristics. What it's important is that this is not a disorder, but rather a different brain function, which means you're not weird, not twisted, not dumb and that you're SPECIAL AND UNIQUE JUST THE WAY YOU'RE! DON'T BE ASHAMED OF WHAT YOU'RE, BUT SEE YOURSELF AS A GIFT TO THIS MONOTONIC WORLD! ❤️
I'm not sure if I have autism but I have a few of these things. I really love my routine. I have sensory issues. I sometimes can be loud. I don't always get jokes. I also get focused on one thing. It fluctuates but when I'm into something I am really into it. Thank you for going into these aspects of autism. I know I have ADHD so I am not sure what characteristics are that.
I'm a 70-year-old woman now, and it's really only been within the last several years that I've come to suspect why I'm so different from the other people around me. I'm completely socially clueless and always have been. Luckily, I found a career in medical transcription and worked at home having only minimal contact with other people. These day's, I can indulge in my preference to avoid socializing altogether and indulge in my consuming interests. It's such a relief. Eye contact is a big one. I can make eye contact briefly, but it's like restless legs; the longer I try to hold it, the more uncomfortable I become. My gaze slips away after a second or two no matter what.
My adopted Navajo family loves me and I them for this reason. They believe it rude to look someone in the eyes. It is a violation of personal space. They understand me and my connection to the spiritual world and call on me in times of need and I am honored to be a part of their world and culture and I NEVER have an opinion unless asked. They claim I speak their language but although I seem to understand the Dine' bizaad language, I do not and never have claimed to speak it. My closest Black friends are the same way although they don't realize it, that I am not opinionated. I listen and through that, gain their trust. You can't have a better friend than that of a Black person once you cross that boundary. Sorry. That's one of my things is talking in tangents.
Thank you for this! I think my brother is an Aspie, and it has made a BIG difference in how I interact with him. I used to yell at him and get really frustrated because the REALITY check was so different for the both of us. At least now I can love him for who he is.
Just ran across your video today. My grandson has Asperger’s. My daughter has told me she thinks I may have to. I didn’t consider it until watching this video today. Thank you for doing these. I relate strongly to 5 of the 9. It has helped me understand myself a little more. 🙂
Australia here. I like this video and have done some research into autism, which helped somewhat, but your hands-on explanation is just great because it's not about diagnosis, it's about what it feels like, and hat makes it relatable. I've always said we are all on the spectrum, I know I am. keep up the good work.
My 19 year old daughter is an aspie and with you saying about turning your obsession into a career, she’s totally obsessed with parrots. There’s nothing she doesn’t know about them 😊 she has her own blue and gold macaw and she’s currently in her 3rd year of college doing animal management, of which she’s attained a distinction in all of her previous exams and will be going to university in 2025 to study veterinary medicine and she aspires to become a specialised avian veterinary surgeon. To say I’m proud of her is an understatement. I’m watching your videos to learn more about Aspergers, so I can be more supportive of her. Thank you for doing these videos, as my daughter was diagnosed and we were just left to get on with it….no support from anyone!! ❤
Good luck to her I am an aspie and I am a counsellor but I work with people who have trauma with horses instead of in plain therapy rooms and I have loved horses and been obsessed with them all my life, so I am totally onboard with this. Plus obviously it is easier for me when there's a horse there as well So be proud of her - I loved that my parents were proud of me and it makes it nice
As a child and teen-Asperger’s was not a diagnosis(I am older) and people thought I was SO disrespectful, and I was reprimanded repeatedly by teachers and authority figures for never making eye contact-to the point where as an older child I developed a major fear (that I have to this day) of not making eye contact due to still being reprimanded or yelled at. But if I feel comfortable around someone-I find myself avoiding eye contact if I am talking about something I am passionate or knowledgeable about. Otherwise, I am scared to not make intense eye contact as is also true for my 27 year old Aspie son who had similar experiences with teachers etc. Sone Aspies make too much eye contact because they have memorized the social strategy, but we get it wrong and get too intense, and then we get in trouble for screwing up the eye contact🙄. As far as stimming-I sway all the time. I also have super obsessive interests and always have. I also get freaked out by the disruption in routine as do all my kids, nephew and niece, sister, and parents. I am crap at social cues and understanding and avoid people if possible, but I have always had to be social due to my jobs and career. But it stresses me out because I have to obsess about how much I screwed up every interaction. I am so BAD with socializing, and my sensory issues make everything worse. too, OMG-I totally understand the voice volume since I got in trouble at work so many times- and this is true for physical gesture or action intensity. My coworkers said I TYPED too loudly. I cannot understand jokes most of the time. Thank you for posting this video-if I keep on commenting on everything you have said-I will sound like a parrot 🦜 -but yeah-everything you said is so spot on! Thanks so much for posting these videos👍💜
Good day mam, I am some similar issues with you, can you elaborate more on these please: looking down while walking, eye contact with close relatives; mother, sister, daughter . Picky eater: Do you eat fast or slow? . Social networking: Do you have friends, and do you find it easier to go to gathering?
@@IDF-Terrrorist-Organisation Yes, i look down a lot while walking and talking, actually. I am really afraid to NOT look people in the eye when those people are talking because i was yelled at so much as a kid for avoiding eye contact, but i still cannot look people in the eye when i am talking. I am a very picky eater, and i eat very slowly. I have maybe two friends, but i hate social gatherings and do my best to avoid them. Sorry for the delay, but my email has sorted youtube responses into a folder i did not realize existed until today.
I am so happy to have found you. My baby girl is on the spectrum and I literally knew nothing about it. I’m so hopeful to learn more and how I can help her. Thank you for sharing your life to those of us who don’t understand 🥰
This my first video that I’ve watched of yours. I’m 53 now and was only diagnosed as ASD, ADHD, OCD and dyspraxia in the last 10 years. Growing up in the 70s/80s you were just weird or stupid, it’s actually a relief when you find your not any of the things you were told
Thank you for your time and effort in this video to help others. I have a family member who has never been diagnosed clinically with Aspergers, but I suspected for many years that perhaps he does indeed have Aspergers. For many of his years as a child, I did not know why he had the behaviors he had, and it broke my heart. I had no idea how to help him, or even understand him. School was miserable for him, he had no friends and he seemed so lonely. For many years now, I have tried very hard to work within his behaviors to make a positive change and I believe I have helped him some. He accepts that Aspergers is probably part of who he is, and that in itself has helped him. Educating people on the various conditions that exist, weather it be Aspergers, Bi-Polar, BPD, or a number of others is so awesome and I commend you for your contribution. Keep goin strong! ....(By the way, to answer your question, I am on a computer)
When I make eye-contact too long - it makes me want to cry; it’s like I can feel all the pain, that person has inside of them. Which, ended up being a superpower, when I partook in cognitive behavioral therapy trainings and coached one of them, when we did the eye-gazing exercise; which, I was amazing at being able to evoke emotions out of those who had a wall up and wouldn’t crack (it’s all about doing shadow work) - because my crying was a form of empathy that would trigger them to go deeper in themselves.
I’m watching from Oklahoma. My husband is 37 and has Asperger’s and it’s extremely obvious. When he was a child people came in to observe him. Most the time he catches a hard time from people. They all think he hates them and it’s just simply not the case. He keeps to himself to avoid all the problems it’s brought him. When he was younger people would try to fight him over it. It breaks my heart. He’s incredibly gifted at playing bass. He’s so gifted and genius that he also catches a lot of jealousy from people. He does struggle with keeping eye contact even with me. He doesn’t rock back and forth, he’s obsessed with music and the bands that make the music and football. He knows a lot about most all players and where they went to college and such. He’s definitely got his order he does every single day. He’s very socially awkward and that’s what’s caused him so many fights and such. He gets upset and irritated fairly easily over the things others do. He’s got a very deep voice and is extremely loud. Haha the thing is he’s probably the funniest person I’ve ever met and jokes all the time. The best part of our marriage is that we joke with each other constantly. However he does get irritated at certain people and their jokes often. He doesn’t have social anxiety he does fine around others but he refuses to go out unless he has to. I don’t drive cause I don’t see well enough anymore so he has to drive me so it’s safe to say I hardly ever leave the house. Honestly when it comes to sensory issues he refuses to have any of his food on his plate to touch. Haha. Ps that wasn’t a terrible drumroll, well the first one was but the second one wasn’t. My husband and I play music together. I sing, play piano and drums and he does guitar, bass and writes the lyrics to our songs. Together we are a band and it’s the greatest thing ever! I love my autistic husband with all my heart and want to protect all people with autism. They are a gift to us.
I've lived my whole life not knowing that I had Asperger's syndrome. When I took the psychological test which my psychiatrist assessed me with and I became aware of my slight autism, I still didn't believe it. Sensory overload is really annoying. When I'm at work is when it gets bad. I feel out of step and awkward at work. When I get home I feel drained I just shut down. I work at a deli.
Dallas TX here. I love listening to you!! I am a Special Ed teacher at an elementary and have many autistic kids. I now feel I can pick out adults who are on the spectrum. Your info is fascinating and explains my kids behavior quite well. Thank you for explaining the autism spectrum to the world !!!!
My sister is married to someone with this and 4 out of 5 of her kids have been diagnosed also. But it wasn’t till a couple years ago that I found out my son and my husband also has it. It is the strangest coincidences I’ve seen. But it has answered so many issues throughout or 39 year marriage. And our communication issues. I appreciate learning about adults with this. I’m so grateful I homeschooled my kids even without knowing the issues. But he sure struggles still with jobs even though he is so very smart
Hi Dan, I was watching your videos to learn about my baby brother's Aspergers, then I was watching Aspie girls' videos and started the realization that I'm an Aspie too! Better late than never, but my life could have been so different with earlier awareness and support. 😢 It's been hard
Dude, you are my people!! I just discovered your channel via this video and it feels a bit like home. I’m not on the spectrum, but ADHD, OCD, etc are very much part of my neural makeup. What blows me away is how much of what you describe applies to me and my ADHD diagnosis - no wonder people so often struggle to figure out which diagnosis to apply. Listening to you speak is strangely calming - you speak at 100 miles and hour, shoving as many thoughts as possible into a limited time-slot and it sounds EXACTLY like my brain. Kind of feels like sympathetic resonance in the grey cells. 😁 Thanks a mil for the great content.
Thank you very much for the videos I have an adult daughter who is Autistic! You are helping me to understand how she feels! She is obsessed with movies and music! Can’t express how she feels, has meltdowns of her routine is disrupted I have learned to tell her days in advanced if I can that there will be a change so she can have her meltdown ahead of time! She walks on her tiptoe a lot claps her hands or shakes them has her earbuds in listening to music and dancing! She can’t live by herself nor does she cook! I love her dearly she has a beautiful heart and a very giving person doesn’t understand how people can be mean to others and animals! I am watching you from Florida. I just found your videos. My daughter is 44 .
I've taught myself eye contact. As for social situations, because I have a horse who's been boarded at various barns, I've had no choice but to be around people and not look like I'm conceited. Instead, I find people who have great communication skills and watch them, and mimic them. I was happy he mentioned the rocking. I'll sit on my bed and rock all the time while just watching TV. When just sitting, like watching this video, I shake one or both of my legs. I have driven people nuts with this one if they are on a sofa with me or in the car, etc. I have a glider rocker I bought for when I watch TV in my office. I'm obsessed with learning everything about horses. I did the same with cats and have several award-winning books on the subject. I've started UA-cam channels on both cats and horses. Drives people nuts!
Thank you for taking the time to create and publish these videos. I'm 39 and realizing I have lived with Aspergers all my life. I'm learning as much as I can since it does seem other family members also appear to meet the list of symptoms and behaviors. Your videos are educational and quite helpful.
I'm so impressed with your personal awareness. I spent 8 years trying to get my partner to get diagnosed and he didn't believe he had any issues. We have since split, but now I know I was 100% correct.
Direct eye contact for me is a really intimate thing. I can do it really small bursts for people I don't know super well, but it is half a second, not much longer. I tend to look behind or beyond people when I speak to them to try and compensate. Edit: Also, I hate small talk. I wish I could grasp why it is people feel the need to speak when it doesn't have substance.

I’ve always been rather loud. Though, as I got older - I thought it was because I’ve been to too many heavy metal shows, without earplugs. Thankfully, it’s only Asperger’s (though, I’ve still learned my lesson, regarding wearing earplugs, at heavy shows). I am EXACTLY the same, regarding clothes. I always wear black, though, I don’t like t-shirts, they’re too tight around my neck; which, being into music/metal, gets frustrating - because I can’t wear various band shirts, who I love/want to support. I ALWAYS wear black, though, will wear a kimono-style wrap, over it - however, only specific type of patterns and colors. I only wear specific type of jewelry and only do my hair and make-up in specific ways. I typically will have a two handfuls of rings, ‘cause the weight on my fingers, supports me in focusing. I also, will carry a joint in my hand/mouth, if I’m not wearing rings, to support focusing. Also, people always think I’m being rude, because I tend to wear my sunglasses in doors, typically. No, light hurts my eyes and causes me to squint; then, the tension hurts my head. That’s why I typically only have candles and a small salt lamp, for light in my room. Also, I can handle loud - hello, metal-head.. However, I CANNOT handle higher-pitched singing. It drives me INSANE, unless it’s balanced out with more gruff vocals. The heavier, more cookie-monster sounding - the better. Interesting enough, the slower the song - the more anxious it makes me. For some reason, rock and metal seems to calm me down and supports me in focusing, when attempting to get physical chores done.
I LIKE DEATH METAL LISTEN TO ME ABOUT WHAT I SAY TO YOU ABOUT HEAVY METAL BECAUSE HEAVY METAL HAS NO POWER IT IS NOT AS BRUTAL AS DEATH METAL BUT IT STILL WORKS ON THE MAIN SIDE OF YOUR STORY WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT MORE THEN YOU CAN EXPLORE MORE BRUTALITY IN DEATH METAL THAN IT IS IN HEAVY METAL THINK ABOUT THE SLAMS THE PALM MUTING TREMOLO PICKING ALL OF THE BREAKDOWNS AND TECHNICALITY
meeee tooooo! lol until someone says to me in the middle of talking that i'm being too loud n then i wanna shut down completely... i don't finish what i was saying n i then always felt like i'm being sensitive and then mad that i didn't notice my volume lol! 🤷♀️ just me?
I'm a neurotypical married to a neurodiverse man and have an adult neurodiverse son (they are not related). Thank You so very much for this; it really helps me understand them, better. I live my own life which gives me my independence while married, and my son and I love the stock market, which he is a whiz at due to his adhd.
You've described my 16 yr old grandson to a T. Thank you, so helpful! We're helping him gain new experiences, especially with intent to help him identify a profession. Your journey to find your best work would be very interesting, if you have not covered it already. Cheers! from Denver, CO
Oddly enough, my special interest is autism. It's how I got diagnosed. The more I fixated on it, the more I realized I relate to it. I brought all my research to my psychiatrist and they just looked at me... They said my onsessive research was enough to convince them. 😂 Of course afterwards we did an official assessment to confirm my suspicions.
Im 56 and am just being diagnosed with ASD I just thought I was a bit thick or strange...now everything makes sense to me .. your videos have really helped me understand and also that I'm not alone..Thanks
Oh man yep yep yep. For me, I find myself spinning out mentally in social situations by over analyzing everything people say. It’s like I’ve over corrected and instead of missing sarcasm or jokes I end up thinking about every possible way something could be interpreted just so I don’t miss something and embarrass myself!
The way you described the way eye contact feels fit me to a freaking T! Like dang I can look some people in the eyes but it’s VERY hard and I often break eye contact.
I totally relate to what you descrbed. I have been bewildered about my behavior all my life, never comfortable around people, always wishing I could make friends. I love to learn so, I can address a group of adults I don"t know and engage them charismatically talking about my favorite subjects like history, art, and the lives of famous artists but, talking to a stranger, one on one, is very stressful for me. I put on a convincing facade of a confident person but in truth I spend my time alone because this is the most comfortable for me.
Concerning jokes and humor, my son who is 9 and on the spectrum, loves youtube meme videos. I really think it is funny to him because memes are absurd and exaggerated forms of humor.
He likes anime too, (there ar for all ages thou and genres) but ther is no accident i think many memes ar from there, because its extragated in expression and humor often. I man there incredible good ones, It jut came somehow to my mindabout meme humor, especially one piece.
I was diagnosed with Asperger's about 10 years ago, and I can definitely relate to most of those things. Especially the social anxiety and sensory issues. I have unusual eating habits, by that I mean I am an extremely picky eater. I know I have obsessive interests and am always looking at the ground when I walk in public.
Absolutely, I check most of these boxes too. 1 of them being the sensory issues, like I can be going out of my mind due to the neighbor mowing the lawn, and the rest of my family barely noticed the lawnmover going. But I love u being an extremely picky eater, coz I am too! Far too often, ppl including many Aspies think of sensory issues being mostly about sound and light. But I have always been very picky with my food, so much that Ive been really mocked about it through my life, and especially as a child it was really difficult, coz no1 believed me, they always just assumed, it was some kid's idea, I just needed to eat my food and that was that. At least after the time, when I was about 4 and refusing to eat liver, my family stopped trying to make me eat something, I didnt want to. What convinced them was, that my mum tried to trick me by cutting the liver into little pieces and put them in a stew with similar looking pieces of meat, figuring I couldnt tell the difference between the meat and the liver, especially through the taste of the sauce. When I had finished eating, all of the little pieces of liver were lining the edge of my plate. But Ive found, that Im actually not more picky than the average person, its just that the things, I dislike, are quite common things, like butter, salat dressing, fat on meats and such. Plus, I dont just dislike those things, I get physically ill trying to eat them. If I get butter in my mouth, I immidiately feel like throwing up. As a kid, I stopped eating butter, as soon as I was old enough to refuse, but while my family accepted it, every1 else did not. I had to start claiming, I was allergic to butter for them to stop telling me, I was just imagining it, or claiming that they could just scrape most of the butter off the b-day bun and put plenty of jam on top, and I would never taste it.... absolutely I would taste it! Even as an adult, I still use the allergic excuse, coz if I tell any1, I really dont like butter, they will inveritably start arguing with me about, how Im wrong, ofc I like butter, coz every1 likes butter. So friggin annoying. I didnt get the Aspergers diagnosis, until I was in my early 40s, but it was such a relief. Suddenly, so many things just made sense.
@@dfuher968 wow! I have very similar food issues! Fat, dressings, sauces gross me out. And i hate hate hate mayonnaise, the texture, smell taste make me want to barf.
Good day sir, I am having same issue with you, can you elaborate more on these please: looking down while walking, eye contact with close relatives; mother, sister, daughter . Picky eater: Do you eat fast or slow? . Social networking: Do you have friends, and do you find it easier to go to gathering?
Dude, I could talk to you all day about this stuff. I wouldn't even know where to start though. I started making comments on each symptom you mentioned, but deleted them. I could write a book. Because after listening to you I realized that not just my middle daughter has Asperger's (diagnosed) but I have it, my sister has it, my dad had it and I'm 62 and never knew this stuff. This explains a whole bunch of things in my life.
Hey man, I really appreciate and get a lot from your videos. I've suffered with Asperger's all my life, of course, but it was only diagnosed relatively recently, and I'm 55. To say the least it hasn't been a fun life. And I'm speaking to you from Oklahoma, since you pinned a request for location. I also wanted to just say, that my obsessive interest is similar to yours, and I do have a strong side interest in a link conspiracy such as you our focused on, but my primary focus starts with what people call Bigfoot or Sasquatch, probably because I seen one twice, probably not the same one, and my mother saw one about 10 years before she passed and feared them for the rest of her life. I say primary focus because your branches out into, I guess what you would call every aspect of reality. As it really is a paradigm shift, the way you view the world. So if this can exist, cannot be part a public knowledge, the next question is what else exists. There's a great book called The Locals by Thom Powell that is particularly good, and highlights across over between your interests and mine. And this is also something that's been talked about more and more on social media as well. The best of the social media by the way, regarding the subject, is not the places that focus on research or pseudo research as far as I'm concerned, but the ones that are designed to create a safe space for people to share, what is often a very traumatic experience, and for others to listen that had similar experiences, and gain some therapeutic benefit, as well as people who simply want to understand the subject more. Anyway, I know this is an old video I'm commenting on, so I'm not sure if you'll take the opportunity to read it, but I thought I'd give you the shout anyway. Take care, what you do really matters, to me, and I'm sure many many others.
Sorry about the weird word substitutions, as I primarily use voice dictation, which can often go wrong, usually not in an amusing fashion. I would normally go back reread, and edit when needed, but for some reason UA-cam isn't letting me edit, so sorry about that. So when I said a link, what I'd actually said was alien.
@@paleo-resurgence5314 Wow. I understood what you were saying even without your interpretation. Just Wow! We just need to learn where we are satisfyingly productive for ourselves and where to stop before going into a rabbit hole without some kind of escape plan. Hope that makes sense. Love these videos!! I'm in Melb Australia, my 8yo daughter was diagnosed ASD (aspie) last year, I'm getting my assessment on Fri, totally relate to so much of this!!
My almost 40 year old son has Asperger's. I see him in all you speak of. He went undiagnosed until age 27. I saw signs of autism from birth, and when he was 4 I asked his doctor if he could possibly have autism. The doc answered "No, he is too smart to have autism." Yet, here he is. Love your content. I am watching from my laptop in snowy central Oregon.
Hi I’m watching on my iPad. My daughter has Asperger’s and she has trouble with being around people. I sent your website to her. I also exhibit some signs of autism but growing up in the 1960’s I was told to toughen up and do things even if they made me afraid. I’m so glad there are people like you to help people nowadays!
I completely get what your saying about the eye contact. It’s a very intimate act that makes a person feel vulnerable and exposed. Personally, I’ve noticed that it largely depends on whom I’m interacting with. If there’s trust, respect, and a sense of safety then eye contact is easy as long as I’m not in deep thought/discussion which then I need to stare off in order to be able to focus and articulate myself lol. As for stimmimg, I’m surprised you didn’t mention leg bouncing. Am I the only one that constantly bounces her foot/leg? It drives people nuts lol I always thought it was ADHD related 🤷🏼♀️
My obsessive interest is gardening and domestic engineering. I turned it into my $ maker too! Nice to see one of my own doing well. Good luck with your channel....

Everything.
Wow, my 21 year old is struggling so much with social skills and I’m constantly worried for him, so happy your son is doing well.

It sure would explain a lot for me!
That's really inspiring thank you ❤️
Ditto about everything you said! I'm 70 and wasn't diagnosed until I was 60 so I know exactly where you're coming from! Isn't it a relief to know we finally found our tribe and that we are not alone anymore!
💜

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Your sin separates you from God.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;
A holy, righteous God cannot allow sin into heaven.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

I'm 'aspie' and I *hate* the disorder.
Its because I didn't say sorry, people like to hear sorry."
😂😂😂😂 and I love him. He's been my favorite buddy since he told our vice principal that his hair was on wrong🤣🤣🤣🤣
I told my math teacher she dropped her dot 😳😆 she was Indian. It just slipped out
I was that boy many years ago when aspergers was unknown. Got me into a lot of trouble with the teachers, who thought I was arrogant, and most of my peers, who thought I was a smart ass, or awkward.
I kept on correcting my English teacher's pronunciation, that didn't go well after the third time... I blame the university she got her degree from.

As a kid, my obsessive interests lasted for periods, and then I’d hop onto other ones.
Nowadays; some obsessions come and go, and some stick in the long term.
This is a mood. My life in a nutshell
Same.

Only stuttering is a reason that I'm a silent boi
Thankyou 💖

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Your sin separates you from God.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;
A holy, righteous God cannot allow sin into heaven.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

I feel the same. Thought I was the only one. 😅
Just be you. I get a feeling you are a honest sweet person 😊
I am right there with you. I couldn't finish the video because out of the gate it was too harsh.
The social anxiety rears it's head when trades people have to come into the house😥😵! Some appliance needs fixing, internet problems, they have to come into my home, my comfort zone! Hate it!
Me, too!
I'm so nervous I set myself off. No extra help needed. Watching on a smartphone.
Same! I get a bit uncomfortable with even people I know being in my space 😅
That's kinda funny to me. As a tradesperson, I always get really anxious going to new jobsites with new people.
I'm the same way! Thought I was the only one! :-))))
You just described me!
@@mamag8158 I don't mask so much now, I'm 66
My obsession with repetitive patterns, my attention to detail, my appreciation for the subtle shades of meaning found in vocabulary, and my special interest in Spanish (specifically Spanish grammar) led me to a 29 year career as a Spanish teacher. Spanish is not my first language, but the logic behind the grammar, the protocols with few irregularities, the beautiful simplicity of phonetic spelling, again with few irregularities, all played into my Aspie strengths.
You would love Zentangle
ah cool. my son found maths super easy because of the rules and logic but struggles a lot more with all the nuances of English.
Im 19 never diagnosed finally figuring it out alone after a year of self research ....everything makes sense now
Ahh! Yes! Thank you so much for the comment! Please subscribe to my channel to see more videos from me :).
Right
I blurted, "Oh, that's aunt So-And-So!"
He raised his brows and was about to exclaim something. He was surprised and caught off guard, I guess. But then he raised his eyes and looked directly at me, like he forgot he was talking to me. He squinted suspiciously and said slowly, "Yes. That's her." No smile.
I think I wasn't supposed to remember who it was. (How could I forget this woman's blue or pink hair, and her cinched-waist dresses that looked similar to 1950's dresses?)
I swear to God, growing up back home in the rural parts, it was frustrating that girls are supposed to be stupid (or perhaps they were supposed to be good at their studies but also know their places, and not be so clever).
Permanent eye contact is silly but needed to communicate with other humans and not look weird. I just fix my sight in the center between both eyes.
I dont understand this rule...
I will glance at their eyes, and then look away... at most I look at their mouth when talking
I never know if you have to hold it for the whole conversation or just part of it? I have to count in my head and then I end up looking away when the discomfort gets to be too much
I just watch their lips...
I look at the tip of peoples nose
Thanks man.

@@scottchapman2251 Be careful of Peterson. He gets a lot of things wrong and is not well-respected in his field.
Someone should start up a dating site for those on the spectrum.
Thank you so much
I have been married to a man with Asperger's for 32 years Not easy to adjust to, but everything you have mentioned applies to him
Now he is retired after a brilliant career and has taken to a life in bed
What has been the hardest for me was, before he was diagnosed with Asperger's, was his complete not understanding my needs. They were not part of his world.... Nor anybody's
Now I know that he cannot relate to another's needs, I'm content to live with him and happily live with my own life ,not worrying that he was so very different from the "' norm''
Thank you again... I hope that your list has helped others to learn to adjust for their own hopes ,living with an Asperger's companion or child

Very sweet and thoughtful of him to do that :)

Don’t worry about it! Just be yourself.

I'm 53, was diagnosed at 50. Finally starting to understand more about how I'm wired! Nice to not be alone in my weirdness.
I'm an Aspie Wife too!!! Can we maybe DM? I've never see spouses of Autism!
My grandson (age 15) was diagnosed with Autism at age 3 - I appreciate what you're doing for folk like us! Be blessed! ~Houston Kathy
I envy your son. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 52.
I sure don't feel like I have any gifts.
@@keilana6 you’re being too hard on yourself
@@keilana6 God, gives us all gifts. Find out what your gift's are, dear.
Making eye contact is so difficult I don’t even look at the screen when watching UA-cam videos
Also watching on a iPhone 🕺🏾
Me too
I have an 8 year old grandson on the spectrum.
This was exactly me as a kid, like my exact story with the presidents, being obsessed with natural disasters, I thought I was reading my life story.
My obsessive interest are music, truth seeking, spirituality, science, and most types of fantasy not in that order
Oh we are almost identical in our choice of interests ...cheers 🙌
My list: anthropology, dinosaurs, human anatomy, Marx, music, numbers, and spirituality
Edit: and also certain conspiracy theories (like those featured on Joe Rogan)
I don't get it, truth seeking and science is that the complete opposite of spirituality and most types of fantasy. This one confuses me. Care to explain maybe, I have Asperger's so perhaps you can help me out here.
👍🏻Greetings from Netherland✌🏻
@@CKlegion7272 thinking maybe he finds interest in both spirituality and science because his goal is actually truth seeking. There's a fine line in between.

What you call "patterns," I think I call "systems." I havre systems for EVERYTHING!
Hi! I totally get that! I really struggle at work when I’m viewed as rude and snobby bc I’m quiet. It takes all of my energy to cope.
Why would anyone change coffee places?
I think its pretty related as well being on the spectrum is like being overaware and overthinking. Ad overl caautious an overwhelming constantly.
there are a lot of people our age (im 47) who are undiagnosed as it was only those on the more severe end who were diagnosed. we just were thought of as weird etc.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Your sin separates you from God.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;
A holy, righteous God cannot allow sin into heaven.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Just diagnosed yesterday, thanks to you and other folks willing to put themselves out there talking about symptoms! Thanks, Dan!
Oh yes, and I’m watching on a phone.
Never been diagnosed, but I am being treated for depression and anxiety. My medication has really helped, Wishing you all the best in your journey.
Anyway, I’m starting to understand more and more why I do the things I do.
Then at least I'm not just discarding my buddy like they're complete trash--they get to go have more adventures somewhere else. ;)
good suggestion

Really have become aware last few years of my social anxiety possibly being related to Aspergerer's or autism. The older I get the worse my anxiety becomes. Not much money to cover testing & treatment.
Too bad there is little help for life crippling characteristics.
I loved the Covid era of peace and quiet
I found reasonably easy to listen while looking in the eye, but can not when I talk.

In such cases it's best to talk to a professional, multiple pros if possible.
Good luck to her
I am an aspie and I am a counsellor but I work with people who have trauma with horses instead of in plain therapy rooms and I have loved horses and been obsessed with them all my life, so I am totally onboard with this.
Plus obviously it is easier for me when there's a horse there as well
So be proud of her - I loved that my parents were proud of me and it makes it nice
This was really sweet
Thanks a mil for the great content.
Also PDA individuals (Usually Autistic with ADHD) don't struggle with eye contact and are often highly social.

The louder I am, the happier I am 😂
YES HAHA
meeee tooooo! lol until someone says to me in the middle of talking that i'm being too loud n then i wanna shut down completely... i don't finish what i was saying n i then always felt like i'm being sensitive and then mad that i didn't notice my volume lol! 🤷♀️ just me?
Omgs people never realize this and tell me to shut up
yes yes yes yes YES 😃😃😃😇😌
... so why am i like this but get triggered if anyone or anything else makes NOISES?...
For me, being loud can mean I'm happy, or that I'm angry.
Im in the rabbit hole myself
*JUAN*
That’s also my kind of humor
I've been reading these comments for maybe 2 hours, a personal rabbit hole that has been occurring too much lately (judgement, am I supposed to judge myself. I think not).
I appreciate your comments.
🙏😎
I'm always moving a foot or two! Moving both at the same time when in bed.
My obsessive interest is gardening and domestic engineering. I turned it into my $ maker too! Nice to see one of my own doing well. Good luck with your channel....
