    I’ve been using your slick pour with monomer as a traditional acrylic application and I ADORE IT. Especially the flash & burn- creates gorgeous fades!!

    Can we use plastic tips to add a little bit of length to natural nail then the slickpour with the conversion gel method?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 місяців тому +2

      When you are using the Conversion Gel, we recommend prepping the nail as you would any other enhancement (push back cuticles, remove shine and cleanse with Swipe). After cleansing, adhere your tip, cut, shape and blend it. Using the medium sanding band or 150 grit file, remove the shine from the remainder of the tip and dust the nail off with a dry manicure brush.
      Carefully use a lint free wipe with Swipe to cleanse the natural nail again, but avoid getting Swipe on the tip as this can smooth the surface out again. Apply a coat of Protein Bond to the whole nail and then you can begin your application with the Conversion Base and Slick Pour powders.

    • @youngnailsinc

      We don’t recommend using acrylic as dip powder as it is not as fine.

  • @derpicorn7945
    @derpicorn7945 5 місяців тому +1

    Why does it look so much brighter and shinier with the acrylic monomer ? With the other applications it looks really dark and not as sparkly.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 місяців тому +1

      Monomer completely wets and absorbs the powder and other applications are being absorbed differently, more bottom to top. This results in a different look.

    Can you layer the mani q fiber gel first, then the conversion base, slick pour with clear sculpture to do a dimensional nail then finish it with conversion top? Or it really doesnt matter what top coat to use?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  10 місяців тому +1

      We would recommend using either hard gel (Synergy) or soft gel (ManiQ/Fiber Gel/Conversion), but not both within the same nail. Soft gels tend to be more flexible whereas hard gels tend to be more firm. When you try to combine both of these together, you may not get the durability needed for an extension.

    I asked in the twitch stream yesterday if I could use the slick pour colors over my clear fiber gel, someone did answer saying, yes, it works lovely with fiber gel. Can we see that process if it does I deed work? Much thanks in advance. I need to purchase the conversion base and top nect sale. ❤

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  10 місяців тому +1

      I believe we were saying you could use slickpour with fiber gel like you would a glitter press but since fiber gel is so thick, you wouldn’t want to pour it on top like with conversion.

    Is it possible to use 3 coats of under the radar dip powder and then for example use ManiQ or nail addition after the 3rd step of the resin system with protein bond or is this not possible. Client of mine loves resin system but loves a few colours of the ManiQ and nail addiction.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  8 місяців тому

      If you use more than 2 coats of the resin and powder, the activator may not be able to get all the way through and the product may have challenges setting up. If you are going to do a gel polish over, you could do the "dip" with Under the Radar and the Conversion Gels rather than the resin.
      Here's a video that will show you the process with Conversion and Slick Pour and then after filing, you can apply Protein Bond and then your gel polish color and top coat.

    Do you put a clear coat of slick pour before the color? Or just 2 color pours over the nail? When using resin.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  10 місяців тому

      You definitely can if you want to. If you are using a darker color then yes we recommend a clear coat first to keep the mail from getting stained.

    Question!: for conversion base, is it specifically for the slick pour? I’ve tested it out with slick pour but I don’t know how else to use the base. Any recommendations???

    • @jmrgunners
      @jmrgunners 10 місяців тому +5

      I’ve used it as gel polish Base and top. I also really like to use it to sandwich regular nail lacquer (polish) between so that it holds up better. (I believe this was the original intention for this product). The Conversion top coat is also really great to use over nails that have a stamped design. It doesn’t smudge the stamping.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  10 місяців тому

      Conversion is for our regular polish and for slickpour.

    So my clients are coming back with cracked tips at the free edge after a few days-a week. Is there anything I can adjust in my procedure to prevent this? I prep using 150 grit efile, then: 1. Swipe 2. keratin bond 3. Base 4. Dip powder (Then do two more coats of base/dip) 5. Activator 6. File 7. Swipe 8. Protein bond 9. Ultimate Finish Gel Top.
    Should I put activator again after filing? Am I applying protein bond at the correct step? Thanks in advance

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  8 місяців тому

      If you are using the resin to apply dip powder then you do not use protein bond during prep. The step 2 doesn’t mix well with protein bond.
