I put 37,000 in one year on a Y. It’s a great car. People complain too much. It’s perfect.
Just picked up my Tesla a couple days ago and it was perfect. Only one tiny scratch on the top of the rear blinker... but it is tiny! Oher than that quality control was top notch on this one.
You can’t tell me that the seats don’t look like baymax from Big Hero 6

Man thanks for the review, this is a good review for people who have never owned a Tesla and are interested/planning to get one. I've been confused with the autopilot vs. FSD and without this review I probably would have dropped 10k on the FSD when it seems I would be perfectly content with the Autopilot and subscription when I want it. Waiting is the hardest part. Estimated delivery date is in July 2022…all one can do is watch youtube videos all day and dream for the day to come.

Same here ordered mine on may 24. Still no vin. Expected delivery date is aug 11-30
We got the exact same car (Model Y Performance in white) three weeks ago. I'm totally in love with it. The tech and 0-60 are great, but it's also awesome to drive. We live in a hilly area and it's consistently fast on demand. It also handles extremely well.

I also have a 2021 Y Long Range. I did want the performance model but because I am waiting for my Plaid S, I knew I would pass this on to my wife or kid. I did however also get the $2000 Performance Upgrade, giving it a 0-60 in about 4.2 seconds. Still decently fast. Also getting my Rivian soon! Ordered it in Nov 2018! Now almost 3 years. I now have 7500 trouble free miles. Never had to take it in for a "Service"

I have ordered a tesla last year, still waiting for deliver date. In the mean time, I ordered a Nissan LEAF so I can understand what its like having an EV. At present, I love it.

Tesla stopped giving delivery dates! Early July they were saying 6-8 weeks, now there’s no timeline and my Tesla Advisor told me late October or November! 4 freakin months is crazy to have to wait! I want the 2022 Austin Factory model if they are making me wait!

i was BLOWN away how quickly the 250kw charged... 9 mins i went from 19% to 50%. took another 12 mins to get to 80%. I have the texas built model Y
I couldn't help but notice when you were talking about speed limit mode, your limit was set at 95 MPH haha. I just got my Model Y, I LOVE it!
15:58 Arriving @ 10% is plenty and is actually better since you will be charging at a faster rate. Charging tapers off the higher your state of charge (SoC) is. The nav computer is optimized to minimize the time being spent charging. There's a 20~30 mile buffer after you reach 0%. Although I don't recommend giving that a try.
I don't know if auto maker know or not but it's normal. It will stop doing it itself. The car is learning the way a user drive daily basis. It happened to me awhile ago and now I ride is not doing the Phantom braking anymore. So whenever this happens, don't freak out and always be ready to take control and be alart at all time when this happens. Stay safe and God bless

Ha! That’s what I did…traded in a 2019 etron prestige, great car but not great electric. I was deciding between the 3 and Y…I went the 3 and still love my car…I don’t know what I was thinking with the etron. Lol. Hope you get yours soon! Enjoy!

My first car ever ! Coming June 2022 but I got the long range don’t really care for speed , going to upgrade to FSD or just pay the supscription because it’ll cost more in the future giving you’re car a increase in price , I’m a young 21 years old with a model Y ? Lady’s ganna love me
A lot of people don’t consider safety as a top feature of this car, glad you mentioned it. I have a 3 now and once that one is around 10 years old I’ll plan on getting a Y. Safety was one of the things that sold me to buy one of these, as I’d normally not spend this much on a car.

I appreciate your video. I ordered mine in May and I still dont have a vin here in September. As for the gap between the front quarter panel and the a pillar, if they adjust that they will have to realign all the doors. Notice your body lines from the from panel through the door and all the way back its straight.
As for brakes, you dont get more stopping power with bigger brakes. Even the small brakes are strong enough to lock the wheels up. The bigger brakes are for race track or switchback mountain roads where you are using the brakes ALOT. The bigger brakes have the ability to sink much more heat. So it's not stopping "power" but stopping "sustainability" during extreme use that you get from bigger brakes. And if you live in mountains bigger brakes would be a great feature. Overheating brakes to the point of "brake fade" is a sketchy situation.
Again, loved your video! I learned a good bit and just wanted to return the favor.
Uneven panel gaps is not just a Tesla issue. It’s an issue with most American cars. Not really that big of a deal.

holy bro! congrats! also, you were talking about how you were worried about stains, well teslas actually use a special type of leather that prevents anything from getting absorbed, causing stains.
It’s such a special leather that it’s not even leather
There is no leather. Tesla's uses highly stain resistant synthetic seat covering and polyurethane foam inside which is why they feel like marshmallows

Do you have the hepa filter?
I thought the Y came with tinker toy sized car shaped FOB that controls a lot of the car functions including auto opening of the door for you if you have that fob in your pocket.
That's the Model X and S i believe

Now on EVs 4 and 6, and no longer willing to suffer with other brands or CCS charging network.
Have FSD on my 3. Subscribed on Y.
If you are driving a lot or road tripping, it's worth it. How do you have summon without FSD?

I got trailer hitch. For $1000, highly recommend. Installed one on my 3 and last Y, but those don't have wiring or trailer mode.
LR has better ride quality than performance because of the stock wheels. And an extra 25mi range. And $10K less. Get the LR unless you are an enthusiast.
The price is closer now since they raised the lr to 53k. Add 2k for wheels and now it’s 56k.
@@adamlee5504 Don't get the wheels. The wheels are precisely what worsens the ride quality. The stock wheels are less 'sporty' but more comfortable in ride quality.

@@LuKiSCraft forgot to add that least in the performance model the tires are stickier, so the traction will be better when the weather is decent.
@@adamlee5504 Well okay fair -- but this is my point. Unless you are an enthusiast who puts 'looks' over 'ride,' just get the LR. But yeah... if you want maximum sportiness then get the performance.
I'd rather have the longer range and better ride quality and have slightly less visually appealing wheels. (and save $)
So supercharging Tesla is like guys using the urinal...never stand next to someone, always make sure there's a gap to your right and left....

What are the interior differences between the Model Y and the Model 3? You said “doesn’t look no different” but didn’t give any examples of those differences which you say exist.
Rear heated seats on model Y and Sound systems are better in Y
The glass overhead does not have a metal brace across it on the Y between the front and back seats. Big expansive glass panel overhead. The seating space feels much more larger and open and you tend to sit more upright, the seats are mounted higher on the Y. The screen and center console is identical. Rear seats fold flat on both.

Couple of important thing that are cooled seats, no heads-up display and no rear Wiper.
Consider this is considered as spear-heading the EV Cars it fall short of a Ioniq 5.

Hmmm...torn. I can get the new Jeep GC L Summit for this same price and it appears to have a lot more tech inside.
I was sold on a long range and now you might have me reconsidering that decision. I image that the range would be less because of the immediate take off and all that.

I have lived on the Gulf Coast for years. With hurricanes and flooding not sure this is a good car in that area.

Just so you know, you can disable the auto high beams while in autopilot. Just push the stalk towards the front of the car.
Not if you have a radar-less Tesla. High beams have to be enabled now to used Autopilot
@@InSaN3ViSioN that’s weird. I own a radar less Tesla Y and I can definitely disable the high beams while in autopilot. I do it all the time. Let me know if you want me to send you a video as proof.
My lease is over this year and I’m planning on getting the Model 3 long range version but I’m currently renting a room, I’m not a homeowner and I’m not in an apartment. I’m cool with the people that rent me a room been here for 8 years it’s just me myself and I. Was wondering which charger was my best option??
