Bring it, my man. It's all good. 😁 EDIT: Additionally, the Wilburys were incredible. Their first album, _Volume 1,_ was all 5. They released the album, did a video for _Handle With Care,_ then Roy Orbison passed thus the chair with his guitar in the aptly titled _End Of The Line._ They then followed with a second album without Roy, _Volume 3._ This one tended toward a bit more rowdy sound- check out _Wilbury Twist_ or _She's My Baby_ for guaranteed banger material.
! Your listening to some of the classic vocalist and musicians of rock and roll. Roy Orbison was in this this group, but he passed away before the video was made. Love your channel.
I loved this video when it came out mostly for the beautiful way they paid tribute to Roy Orbison using his photo and the rocking chair gently rocking his guitar. He had total respect from all his fellow legends in this band and it shows.
Not 'a super group'...The Super-Group, the very definition of one. No other so-called SG has ever come close, barring any one-time, one-night-only charity concerts.
LoL😂. True ,but did you know that George Harrison actually played in a band with John Lennon,Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr? To be honest that was The SUPER GROUP. God Bless

There's never going to be another group like the Travelling Wilburys because there's never going to be artists that compare these legends. Rest in Peace to Roy, George, and Tom.
The Wilburys were different from all the other rock supergroups out there, because most of the members (even Harrison) had amazing solo careers, while even Lynne was the frontman for his band, plus you had success in multiple eras - Dylan and Orbison in the early 60s, Harrison from the 60s until the 80s, Lynne in the 70s and early 80s, and Petty through the 80s and into the 90s.
If you want to see Roy actually playing with the group, watch the video for “Handle with care”, as it was the first video from this album and Roy was alive for that filming. He died in between filming that video and the video for “End of the Line”
@@TheRagratus He grew up listening to rap. It's not like it was prime George Harrison from the 60's, it was late 80's... it's understandable that he didn't recognize GH in this. And I give him credit for recognizing Jeff Lynne.
George Harrison, lead guitar of The Beatles was the first guy, say his name and remember, he started the Traveling Wilburys after the Beatles broke up. Dude, he's golden, you must listen to My Sweet Lord, Tax Man, For You Blue, Here Comes the Sun, Give me Love, Do you want to know a secret,, he wrote a song about Lennon after his murder called All Those Years Ago. And the most iconic love song of all time called Something. His solo in the last song the Beatles produced is legendary, called The End. Give us more George ❤
Also his mini-me son, Dhani Harrison was in the tribute done for his dad, with Prince, doing While My Guitar Gently Weeps, which George wrote. You said then you had no clue who he was. Maybe their faces will stick now! lol
Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and George Harrison were all part of the Traveling Wilburys. Considered one of the biggest super groups of all time from 1988 to 1991 I believe. Great reaction!
As George told it, Jeff and George were having dinner in LA, Jeff invited Roy to join them, George gets a call from the record company for a b side for a single release, no studios available so they call Bob whi has a studio in his garage, so they head to Bob's, Roy tags along, George has to get his guitar he left at Tom's house, Tom says this could be fun and tags along as well, they all get to Bob's and have no idea for a song, George starts writing music and sees a box on the corner that says "Handle With Care" so the 1st song by the quintessentia supergroup is born, record co hears it and says too god for a B side, how about some more, they rent Dave Stewarts, Eurythmics, house for a month and write and record an album
Roy Orbison died of a heart attack on 6 December 1988. In tribute to him, the music video for the band's second single, "End of the Line", shows a black-and-white framed photo of Orbison, and his guitar is shown, rocking in a chair, whenever his vocals are heard.
Roy Orbison was a massive star in the 1950s. His wife died in 1966 in a motorcycling accident and in 1968 two of his three kids burned alive in a house fire. He died of a heart attack at only 52 in 1988 when this song had been released but before they shot the music video hence the empty rocking chair and guitar as a tribute from his friends in this super group....
George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Bob Dylan are all, part of the super group The Travelin Willburys. Roy Orbison passed away before this was released and they honored him with the empty rocking chair.
I always thought he was 80 when he died. He looked so old. Turns out he had a major eating disorder which explains it along with all the heartbreak. He is such a great artist
Roy Orbison always had a beautifully haunting voice. This performance, recorded right before he died, was one of the most haunting of all. RIP Roy Orbison, an angelic singer
Just goes to show that everyone is at the center of their own universe. He probably would not be able to pick Ringo out of a crowd - or knows that Ringo also had an "all star band."
Jim Keltner, THE drummer is often overlooked. Google his credits. Lots of work with Ry Cooder. That’s fight. Ry Jesus Cooder! And a host of other legends. Too often overlooked.
If you didn't notice, there was an empty rocking chair with a guitar on it, slowly rocking. That was their commemoration to Roy. The guy you couldn't place was George Harrison.
DAMN BRO!!!! I Love your reactions! Confused? Yes opening guy was George Harrison (the 4th Beatle you keep forgetting), Then Tom Petty, then Jeff Lynne (ELO) Bob Dylan. Also Roy Orbison singing but had passed away before they made the video
This was a great blind reaction and I love that you got Jeff Lynne - seems nobody ever does when they watch this group for the first time...PROPS!! You are excused for not recognizing the amazingly talented (ex-Beatle and driving force behind creating this super group) George Harrison, because he never really had a "signature look". But - now you know his solo voice, check out more of his solo work! And Roy - on the track and in the group but passed away too soon, before the song was released so that's him in the rocking chair - their tribute to him. Thanks, fun to watch this one!
That empty chair gets me every time :( These guys were the best of the best in my opinion. Tom and George and Roy have reached "The end of the line"....
Roy Orbison died while a member of the band. He recorded the vocal before he died so it is Roy's voice. That's why you only saw his picture in the video.
Some of the greatest song writers of all time getting together and having a blast creating some iconic songs. I imaging them sitting around with their guitars and throwing out ideas and lines and laughing their asses off.
Orbison had died after recording his vocals but before the video was shot, so a shot of a guitar sitting in a rocking chair and a photo of him are shown when his vocals are heard.

I have certain albums of those three that I really love the best, and play them more often.
This was truly a super group. The legendary musicians who created this band is unreal. When the likes of Petty, Lynne, Harrison, Orbison and Dylan get together this the unbelievable music that comes from it.
Finally! Brother I have been screaming for a while for you to do this supergroup. This was dedicated to Roy because he passed before they had time to make the video. I wish they would have made more music together. RIP Roy Orbison and Tom Petty!!! The first singer is George Harrison, one of the Beatles and the one Prince, Tom, and Jeff Lynne paid a tribute to with "My Guitar Gently Weeps"
@jeffreyhamlin2971 and RIP to George Harrison as well, he was the 2nd to pass away. "WHILE My Guitar Gently Weeps was a also performed by Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Dhani Harrison, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne, Gary Brooker, Albert Lee, and many more musicians/singers who were Friends of George and musicians that he worked with through out the years at "THE CONCERT FOR GEORGE" on NOV. 29, 2002, the 1st anniversary of George's death. It was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. IF you have never seen that one, You should watch it. SO much LOVE for George in that concert since his songs were performed by those who knew and loved him.
Watching u trip out while the enormity of this "super group" is part of what I love about your reactions, to all songs. You dive deep into the artists and their different albums and collaborations. Watching u learn to appreciate what us in the 60's and 70's lived thru on a daily basis is fun
YES... the best SUPER group ever. George Harrison (Beatles), Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne (E.L.O.), Bob Dylan, and Roy Orbison. All very good friends who were just getting together to jam and help George with his new album. The song "Handle with Care" was supposed to be a "B side" song but the record company said it was TOO GOOD. So they just decided to make up a group name and release some of their JAM songs. No hype, no ego... just lets share our music.
The Traveling Wilburys were a supergroup consisting of George Harrison († 2001), Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison († 1988), Tom Petty († 2017) and Bob Dylan."Handle with Care" was the Wilburys' most successful single, reaching number 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, number 2 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart, number 21 on the UK Singles Chart, and was a top 5 hit in Australia and New Zealand.
George Harrison my favorite song writer. He was the first singer. Handle with care video was done before Roy passed. This one had Roy on the song, but he passed before the video therefore the solo guitar in the rocking chair and his picture on the table
Depends on what your definition of the best supergroup is. Biggest talent assembled? Either the Traveling Willburys or The Highwaymen. But the quality of the total output of the group? I'd say Crosby Stills Nash and Young. But also you can consider groups like Cream, which aren't an ensemble of A-list talent other than Clapton, but get labeled a supergroup.
@@alanstapleton3818 they bug me every time Dylan sings. Haha. He's a top 5 songwriter of all time, but I feel his voice doesn't belong with the others. Especially Roy Orbison, who's in a whole other level above the others for vocal talent.
Finally! I have been patiently coming back every day my young friend! I am rewarded by you again! Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a f’king group!
The first super group I was ever aware of love these guys. If I remember correctly they rented a house and recorded this song maybe the albumn playing random shit in the house as instruments for the song. This group is goat’d
Super Group - ABSOLUTELY! Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne and George Harrison. They remembered Roy with the empty rocking chair with his guitar on it.
Great stories on how they each picked their names. As for Wilbury, it is related to a recording term where instead of re-recording a mistake, they “will bury” it in the mix.
If you notice when Roy is singing they show a guitar in the rocking chair and that is a tribute Roy. I like your channel brother. I live up in Thornton it’s nice to have a local or somewhat local reactor! Keep up the great work
It seems that late in Roy Orbison's life, the world remembered that he was loved before it was too late. The video of Roy Orbison doing Pretty Woman, that referred you to this video, was from a concert called "Black and White Night"; a small venue concert at the Coconut Grove Lounge in L.A that was filmed about a year before this Travelling Wilburys' video. In that performance, he has about 3 Supergroups worth of musicians backing him up. You already mentioned Bruce Springsteen; he also has Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, T-Bone Burnett, k.d. lang,, Jackson Brown, Jennifer Warnes and Bonnie Raitt to hit some of the high points.

The empty chair holds Roy Orbison's guitar as a way to still have him in the video, and the guy you kept asking about is George Harrison.
Roy’s guitar in the rocking chair represents him. He passed away between recording the track and filming the video.

This was truly a super group. The legendary musicians who created this band is unreal. When the likes of Petty, Lynne, Harrison, Orbison and Dylan get together this the unbelievable music that comes from it.
Yes please, more Traveling Wilburys....
Jim Keltner is a legendary session drummer
Not just a super group, probably the biggest super group to date.
Roy Orbison was my Dad's favorite artist. We played it all day for him while he was passing away.
So many legendary talented musicians, songwriters, singers and producers in one group ❤
I heard Roy. "They just showed a picture" I had to go back a few times, and yes! Seeing the lonley rocking chair bring tears.
Absolutely a supergroup :) Great that they did this before some of them passed away.
When Tom sings “just happy to be alive” makes sad. Thanks to all these artist for the music and their greatness.
Hello!!! Harfang’s Mission is a must-watch. Can’t wait to see your reaction to it!)
Probably the best super group of all time
Depends on what your definition of the best supergroup is.
@@mitchchartrand just my personal opinion but I agree there are other super group's with awesome talent
@@alanstapleton3818 they bug me every time Dylan sings. Haha. He's a top 5 songwriter of all time, but I feel his voice doesn't belong with the others. Especially Roy Orbison, who's in a whole other level above the others for vocal talent.
The Allstar group of music
Finally! I have been patiently coming back every day my young friend! I am rewarded by you again! Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a f’king group!
The entire CD is fabulous!
Roy is the empty rocking chair bruv. He'd passed.Rip legend.
