You Should try "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by Carlos Santana with Yoyo-Ma & India Arie. It is incredible and not the usual choice over the Beetles version.
White Bird by It's a B e a utiful Day. The studio version is tops. This is a song that has rock, classical, jazz and folk elements and rare gem of the late 1960s.
First Burn and Found/Tonight are quite possibly my favorite songs to see people react to. First Burn being a much more intense version of "Burn" from Hamilton and Found tonight being a mashup with Lin Manuel Miranda and Ben Platt.

This song holds a special, bittersweet meaning for me. It was one of a good friend's favorite songs. Sadly he was battling depression and ended his life. I do still love the song. 🏁
My dad referred to the Wilburys as 'The All-Star Guitar Orchestra.' I always thought 'End of the Line' would make a great road movie end-title, playing as the heroes drive off into a new day.
George and Jeff were trying to come up with a "B" side for his song "Cheer Down" when they came up with "Handle With Care". 'Cheer Down" was used in the end credits of "Lethal Weapon 2" - Your comment made me remember that. 🙂

One of my favorite songs created and sung by some of my favorite singers! Great people making great music while having fun!!! It doesn’t get better than this. 🥰
They did the rocking chair with Roys guitar for Roy I love that this is just a good old rock & roll song None of that extra crap in todays music I love how you sang along with the song
Roy Orbison who sang Pretty Woman, George Harrison of the Beatles, Jeff Lynn of ELO, Tom Petty of the Heartbreakers and the poet of his generation Bob Dylan. Even the drummer played with the ex Beatles in the early 70s.

George Harrison (Beatles, RIP), Jeff Lynne (ELO), Tom Petty (Hearbreakers, RIP), Roy Orbison (Best voice in rock, RIP), Bob Dylan (A Legend), and Jim Keltner (Drummer extraordinaire). Roy had completed his work on the album but passed away before the video was shot. He was 52. That is his guitar in the rocking chair.

The song is warm, affirming and uplifting. Music that people want to listen to because it lifts their spirits. It brings joy to people's lives. Please consider to reacting to more of their music.
Rest in peace George Harrison, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison. I had the pleasure of seeing Roy Orbison perform many (many) years ago. His voice was one of a kind. The photo of Roy Orbison was a lovely nod to his passing and the song is almost a foreshadowing of the passing of George Harrison and Tom Petty.
All of these guys are legends. George Harrison - the Beatles (enough said) Jeff Lynn - creative genius behind the electric light orchestra. Singer/guitarist/ songwriter etc. Bob Dylan - folk/ rock legend. Incredible songwriter. Tom Petty - classic rocker along with his band the heartbreakers Roy Orbison - incredible singer. You kind of just breezed over the whole "supergroup" thing. A lot of what's so special about this song is the people and their history. Take the 5 biggest stars today and put them in group and they still wouldn't compare to what these guys did for music and music history. Bob Dylan alone has full or partial writing credits on well over 500 songs that included hits for many other artists as well as for himself. Jimi Hendrix' "All Along the Watchtower", Johnny Cash's "Wanted Man" and Adele's "Make You Feel My Love" were just a few of his. Oh, and George Harrison was in a band called The Beatles. So, there's that. ;)
Thanks Maggie. Pulling at my heart strings again with memories. I was really into Roy Orbison as a young man. So many beautiful, and today hardly recognized songs. I need to make time to see you on the patreon channel soon.
This was one of the first supergroups, made of huge stars from other groups. Another one from that era in the country genre was The Highwaymen, which you really need to hear one day.
The successes of the individual Wilburys prior to forming the group are phenomenal, they were all extremely successful in their own rights. They were a group of friends and acquaintances with a shared love of music and plenty of mutual respect for each other, that just had fun and made great music together. They didn't even list their real names on the two albums. The tributes to Roy Orbison in the video were subtle, but perfect. Sadly two other Wilburys have left us since then.

When the album was released, after the first listen, I took note of the "Vol. 1" and hoped so much it meant there would be a second. Rumour had it that they were going to release a second album with Del Shannon to try to replace Roy Orbison but it just never happened due to life events amongst the various Wilburys. Supposedly, they wrote the lyrics as a group, then Bob Dylan would take the day's output home and come back the next day with suggested edits. No one would even read the edits, they always decided just to go with whatever Bob had decided. Hard to imagine working with such incredibly gifted musicians.
You hear Harrison, you hear the Boys from Liverpool. You hear Lynne, you hear ELO. Petty is Petty. You hear Dylan, you hear the 60s. And then there's Orbison. Someone once asked Elvis how it felt to have the greatest voice in rock and roll. Elvis replied "I don't know. Ask Roy Orbison". You hear his tenor and you can only imagine if he had turned that gift to opera.
