- The Budget Honda Civic Build goes in for Fender Rolling 101! We show you how to Roll Fenders the RIGHT WAY using a Fender Roll for MORE Clearance and better Wheel Fitment!
Rolling the lip on Honda Civic fenders for WIDER wheels is nothing new to the Honda world, but there is little information on how it’s done! So I decided to step forth with the help of Chris to explain why fender rolling is needed and how it can go good or BAD. Chris explains how to properly use a Heat Gun to avoid cracking or chipping paint when rolling. A HEAT GUN is key! Around the 11 minute mark is where the rolling stars, if you want to get to the point!
When rolling front or rear fenders there’s always a risk that you may buckle the fender, chip the paint, or cause a major crack in the paint. This is never a 100% avoidable situation, but using a heat gun and cleaning the fender lip will greatly reduce the chances. Rolling fenders with a baseball bat, phone book, or a pipe will almost always result in catastrophe. However, there is freak situations where it turns out ok.
With how far my Civic build has come visually, I didn’t want to butcher this fender roll only to have to visit a body shop. Chris rolled the fender lip PERFECTLY, ending in a 3/4 roll to have plenty of travel for the Fitment of my wheels. So whether you track your car, bag your car, or just daily drive, this video will give you a good starting point. Big shoutout to Chris for the amazing work and taking it slow for the best result!

Not all heroes wear capes
@@ALLDAYANTHONY you, sir, are the hero!
Traded my del sol for a hatchback to drive daily, I’ve been feeling the interior styling of this car with black trim
Nice man! Great cars

Great video! I need this done.
21:42 "oh shit"! That made my heart stop too lmao!
Haha he got me good
I bought a Eastwood roller and have only used it a couple times that I needed. I love it and it makes it super easy and clean. Haven’t used it in like 2 years probably need t sell it lol. Good video man! Car looks great as always
clean honda btw. its nice to see these cars represented like how yours is done.
The ideal temperature for non bacon fenders is 125 degrees. I use a harbor freight IR thermometer to check the temp.
Wow I'm actually here pretty early! Love the content and Civ!
Hell yeah thanks for watching!
Yisus, Finally, LoL
Know upgrade the drum brakes to disc brakes
Like the look of the car! I was looking for ideas for the same car and found tour vids, very cool build! Lots of great mods

thanks for this. i never rolled fenders and am extremely nervous, i have the eastwood roller coming next week and don't want to hose up my fenders. thanks
A tip I would give is to try to get your videos straight to the point and if there is a process going on, try to b roll it and make it as short and as interesting as possible.
That's just my tip though
Oh and u just pulled to my recommended and in like 10 min I subscribed, keep the good work, u will get far
Yess the video I’ve been waiting for :O! Dude what camera do you use to record your videos? I am hoping to start uploading videos myself in the future.
Just arrived in Pocatello this afternoon.
Some of us Mormons like modded Civics too.
I’ve had as many modded Civics and Integras as I’ve had children, which is a lot if you know Mormons 😉
Awesome video , well explained.
Hey I know this is a old post, but what size wheels and tires were you trying to fit here? Havent gotten to the end of video yet
If you went with 205/45/16 tires, do you think you would've avoided this?
I have 205/45/16 on my civic and don't notice much rubbing.
That's the EXACT size I have on my 00'' EK sedan and they look and run BEAUTIFULLY 😁🔥🙏💪👍... AND my whip is pretty slammed on skunk2 suspension.
So many cool jdm cars and a evo
Fire vid
Thanks man!
can we use a torch to heat the fenders
Zayed G R only if you want to bubble up your paint
My fav cars in that garage except your missing S15 😉
I want to roll my fenders but can't afford a shop
How can I get in contact with Chris? I live close by 👌 great video
Pure bliss 🤩
❤️
best rolling vid
The top of your friends ears are MASSIVE!!
I cannot get this tool to fit in my 96 acura Integra wheel well. Boutta just go old school and get the wooden mini bat.
I love your project.
Thanks man it’s getting there
Bro said 58 degrees like that’s not cold as hell 😂
Haha that’s warm!
That’s hot in the northeast.
That's t-shirt weather!
What to you do with the fender tab where the body connects to the fender with a screw or fastener?
Dope vid bro
When are you gonna turbo the civic
Anthony When are you going to do power mods?
Power mods would be an entire engine lol
Bf I watch this. I saw that Supra and WOW
The Supra is so clean!
ALLDAYANTHONY YES! Don’t worry. Your Civic is nicer 🤣
Bro can i ask the specific details of your wheel?
What size the size of your tire?
My question is how long did it take for yours to get done? Because I’m planning for mine to get done but I have a 8th generation civic I’m only rolling the lip because I have the same issue
Is it bad if the you leave the paint of the fender cracked?
What does that go do for a living?
So i put my new rims on 15x8 205/50/15 fronts sit fine with decent poke but the rears were rubbing hella. I'm thinking maybe just roll that little bit of fender upward because I'm still able to fit my fingertips between the fender and tire but can't get my fingers all the way through.
poke with a 205/50 on a 8 wide? lol
New sub 🤙🏾
Thanks 💯
Have you considered doing a drum to disk conversion in the rear?
Yep! Just need to find a good donor
@@ALLDAYANTHONY K series donor??
Im doing that to my 99 coupe atm i got a integra thats just been sitting so i took the disk trilling arms off it now it has the drums and i also did a seat swap with them
About dang time!!! Just pls dont go overboard with it aka goin full rice mode
Haha that won’t happen..
Most people don’t realize that the Mormon Church actually invented fender rolling in the early 80’s.
I read that somewhere as well!
Maybe thats not something new for you Anthony, but i realy LOVE your Honda... Now im 100% sure that my first project car need to be as clean as yours, and it need to be Honda 🤣
Thanks man! I’m sure you can make it happen!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY 😃
She’s clean brah!!!but how’s the evo hahaha good work Anthony
Does hitting it with the hammer counts?
Haha don’t do that!
Even the eyes dogs are red lmao
What size are these tires? And rims?
Right
Buy the right offset wheel or use a bat and slowly drive the car back and forth while exerting leverage on the bat.
Finally someone who didn't butcher their fenders, lol. Good watch
Thanks for the tips Anthony! I’m rolling my ES1 tomorrow. I wanna be a static boy 😬
Les go bois
Let’s go!
What is that? French?
58 is freezing in Florida lol
FACTS Edwin 😬😬😁🤦👍🥶
You need a second mic for the guy.
Anthony please make a video of that bumper panel gap, I have the same issue and I can't find anything about that!!
I’ll have to make one!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY thanks bro!!
Love the civic ❤️ you should do some jdm upgrades.
Haha working on it
Hey get acura integra 94-2000 rear disc brake !!! It will work a lot Better
Nice
My pet peeve, rolled fenders.
11:45 is what you came to see
Mormon church on every corner if you live in Utah lol
What you paid someone to do it, what's the purpose of owning a Honda
I would always recommend paying someone experienced to roll fenders. You only get one shot at it. Unless you don't mind cracked paint and bacon waves...
Didn't even show results 👎
Wish i never rolled my quarter. Made it rust out faster...
What made it rust out was you not being careful enough to not crack the paint, and you being careless and not applying touch up paint to any damaged area.
Blame your hack job, not the practice of rolling fenders.
he’s explaining to the dude who to do it too much
140°? So a little bit of heat (in AZ) will do the trick 😂😂. Just watched 17:30 😆 facts.
Haha it could!!
Bruh I literally have this same problem with my car
Well this is how to fix it! :)
@@ALLDAYANTHONY My coworker and I are going to roll the fenders when I install the arp studs install it was a pretty nice coincidence that I was thinking about rolling the fenders and you dropped this video today.
No go on the head cam
Put back on the mudflaps
Chris fix? Lol
This exercise look like absolutely pointless the still have same high. It works only if you drive with narrow tyres.
In the future if your only goal is to push that ½" lip up in using a roller is not nessasary. Its very easy to do without causing any ripples in the sheet metal at all. Now if you want to flare over the tire a roller will be nessasary
Anthony,
I posted a video showing my car and what's been done so far. Not asking for subscribers or anything, just feedback.
Thanks!
567th
Lol!
I used a bat to roll my honda fender...
so your copying me now ;)
