Just found ur channel, absolutely love to see all the tdi content, there is almost nothing on UA-cam!! I have also have a mk6 tdi and it’s been so much fun and has given me almost no issues in the past 4 or so months. Just subbed and hope to see more stuff fr
I appreciate the support! I too found there are almost no TDI videos when I first got it. More videos to come! This car is way too much fun to mod lol.
SUBSCRIBED. I bought a MK6 TDI this summer, and started watching your vids recently. I plan to do the GTI exhaust mod myself in the future. You may want to consider getting the OBDEleven code reader (Pro version), or a VAGCOM. This will help with error codes, and all sorts of tweaks. I got the OBD11, since I don't care to change long code stuff. With OBD11, you get user-created "Apps" that do the coding in the background. One-button-click style. Some LED bulbs are CAN-compatible to eliminate the bulb errors. Others require a plug-in adapter to "trick" the CAN to thinking there is no drop in voltage using the LED.
@@AJLoDato22 The VW is tricky. From our research we have developed the only error free reverse. We know that light can be annoying. If you are interested in a set please email Support@deAutoLED.com for a discount. Thanks
Other than the dash light shown at the end of the video, I haven’t had any other issues. The dash light is annoying but the interior lights are definitely worth it to me!
@@AJLoDato22 thanks! How much were your interior lights? They’re are some cheap ones online I’m seeing for around £15, but not sure if they will be suitable
@@Rhysowen5418 I used some very cheap eBay ones on my other cars and they worked great. These are more expensive at about $6 per bulb. Both routes will do the trick.
just found your page and now I wanna change my lights on my mk6 also. I really like how in depth and professional it was

Woah this is really good insight, I’ll check it out!

That looks sick man, did you use the soft white LEDs or the Super Bright LEDs from Sylvania?
Thanks man, been enjoying your content on this car. :)
Shoot, I wish I could remember. It was whatever is offered at Advance Auto. I will check next time I am there.
I dont understand why most car dealers don't do this from factory. Leds look so much better.
100% agreed!
My sun visor lights dont work whatsoever in my car which is the Mk6 Golf R 2013 even with the old or new bulbs checked the fuses and there ok 🤔
Hmm I’d check with a voltage meter to see if you have any voltage at all. If not I’d only know to check a fuse
One question, is sylvania and osram the same thing?
I don’t know if they are the same, but they look really similar
Whats the orange tool used to remove the panel lights?
Trim removal kit from Walmart. Better than using screwdrivers for sure.
@@AJLoDato22 thanks
Where you able to fix the warning light issues from swapping the bulbs?
I didn’t fix the light and I haven’t really found a solution yet on how to.

And now??
How do you have 2 reverse lights?
It came like that. I didn’t know others had one 🤷♂️
EU models only have one because there is a rear fog light in the other one. It is not required in US models, so they have two reverse lights
How did you get the 2825 to fit in the footwell?
I unfortunately don’t have the car anymore. I don’t remember the footwell led specifically.
Have you had any issues with the interior lighting, in regards to errors on the dash/lights blowing due to the reduced load required to run them?

Any solution to the trunk light not turning back on?
I haven’t had that problem. I did have to bend the bracket/bulb retainer clips tighter to hold the bulb better. I had flickering issues.
@@AJLoDato22 had the same issue when I went to close the hatch then open to see if it was off or on, it would flicker
You have to switch poles, just turn it for 180°, that bulb have the + and - difference
Useless don’t even show how to take lights out without snapping them
I wouldn’t deem this video useless because you don’t know how to take a lightbulb out 😂
