Just installed the jawn, shipping was pretty quick at 10 days and the unit works great. I do wish I purchased the one with a usb in the rear but that’s just a little thing. Overall 10/10 would recommend. Thanks Matt

After putting in the RCD330 and the rear view camera I have to say this was a good choice. I have had the headunit and the camera for months. Great video, it was enough to convince me that I am too lazy to do it myself. So I had it installed a week ago. I very quickly decided that it needed a subwoofer but I didn't want to spend a fortune and I just want a nice full sound, not the crazy head pounding bass that rattles everything within 500 yds. Add a 10in powered subwoofer, Rockford Fosgate. 309 at Crutchfield, turned out to be the perfect addition to the system. Now sound is fantastic with good recordings. Thanks again Matt.
is there an output for subwoofer?
@@turnickup from what I know there’s not. You need a line converter… basically picking up the signal from the rear speakers. Look up a LC2i. Maybe if @Lary will see this message is gonna help us both with figuring this out.

How does music via bluetooth on your phone work with this? When you start the car or just ignition, does it start auto playing music via bluetooth? Also, can you switch songs with the steering wheel? Both very important to me, golf 7 has these features and I really like them.

I have the same model on my Seat Leon MK2 (2011), same buttons, same dials, same USB, aux and SD ports. Previous owner had it installed but couldn't provide any technical information, aside from the fact that it was repurposed from a Golf 6. It even has the VW logo at startup. I was under the impression that this was OEM for VW vehicles, as in you could buy a VW from the dealer with this option installed.
Anyway, to get to my question: am I right to assume that this unit does not have a dedicated jack input for a backup camera? and that you need to add the camera connectors to the bulk of connectors that pugs into the back of this unit

I drive a 2013 VW Jetta TDI Highline Sedan fitted with a RCD340G OEM radio and an aftermarket PDC system installed. The problem I experience is the radio not allowing for the PDC and rear view camera to display at the same time because both make use of the same channel. So I have to eliminate either the camera or PDC to display. Supposedly this happens because the PDC is not factory fitted. I suppose to make this work I need to install a factory fitted Pdc which cost a lot of money.
Are you aware of some adapter or harness that might solve the problem or do you have any other recommendations?

How is the brightness at night? can it be controlled with the dimmer switch on the car's dashboard?
Is your reverse camera OEM? I have the 2010 Golf R and want to upgrade my head unit to this but it needs to work with the steering wheel controls and the OEM camera.

Hey bro.. i recently bought AndroidRadio.. so my car is 6R and it came with Back up cam...so afta installing the radio...(plug and play) the camera indicate that there is no Video Signal.. what could be the problem?
Have you had any battery leakage problems I have a 13 gti and I’ve seen the rcd360 pro 3 radios on Amazon I’m not convinced have you had any problems with your radio

Matt when you installed the camera to the radio how’d you do the blue cable to hook up to the head unit? I’m kinda stumped with the quad lock sett up. Do I just remove the oem blue connector and plug the one that came with the kit. So close to getting it installed. Thanks for any help!

I think these radio's are original spec and are removed from cars imported into China as I think they have an alternative they put in that suits their own country and language better. So as I understand it they should be OEM and brand new. This is not fact but what I think from things I've read.

Did you have a problem with the camera opening when you start the car? it seems some VW GTIs have a sort of bulb check feature that sends signals to the bulbs to check circuit continuity....
Every start up the camera opens and closes. Yeah the car does a bulb check a lot of vws have indicators for if a bulb is out

it comes with a cord that plugs into the rear of the head unit

You connect it to the back of the RCD330 and drop the USB down towards the gear stick. Remove the trim around the gear stick and lift it up. Pop up one of the squares and insert the new USB.

Got mine at Best Buy. Free installation. $399. However, by the time I added back up camera, steering wheel sync, and VW sync I spent $1000. I feel it's worth it because their geek squad is good. I also added 2 years warranty do anything.

Well i bought my Mk6 gti recently, it has a oem backup camera with an "Dynavin n7" stereo. But the vw emblem doesent flip when i put it in reverse :( any tips?

What do you mean by the radio overheating?
the processor inside the radio would thermal throttle and reduce the performance of car play (it would lag)
