Add a golf ball drilled to fit the keck stand, I also find using a short rope with a loop the goes from the basket to the hand grip on the opposite side of the kick stand eliminates the extra pvc prop rod. I have moved on to a trike but a step thru bike works better than a mens bike where you have to get your leg over the top bar to get on or off, plus ladies bikes seem to be less desirable to thieves. Also a mesh laundry bag works great for live eels, attach a rope so you can tie it off to a rock and keep the eels in the water, a tube sock on the hand I grab the eels with also works great preventing slime on your hands and arm.. 40 years fishing the ditch has tuaght me lots.

Any bakeshop should have the basket that fit your bike.
