I enjoyed your video! Nice fish. I fished the canal in July this year and did good. Probably going 1st week in October for the fall run. Hopefully, it's good. Tight lines. Good video!
Great video. Im new to the area and have been to the canal only a couple times so far, no luck yet but This video got me up early this morning heading out to give it another shot!
me and a friend were on the boat at the end of the jetty that morning, blues and bass on every cast, bit windy and choppy at the mouth of the canal, but great morning, we probably caught about 2 dozen fish each
Lmaoo bro last time I went to the Cape that same shit kept happing to me. I would move to chase the fish and they would end up being closer to the side I just left. After being played like 4-5 times I stopped moving and would just wait the fish out. One of the local guys told me not to chase the fish that they would eventually come closer to our side and he was right.
For jigging, I use an 11' Lamiglas Carbon Surf (rated 3-8 oz)paired with a Stella 14K, and for plugging, I currently use an 11' Carnage II (rated 2-6 oz) paired with a Saragosa 8k
Eric Looks like he uses the reel I use for tuna and a lamiglas surf rod. But it's so easy 2 catch fish at the canal it would be a complete waste of money to copy him Get a 10K saragosa and get a 10 foot surf rod like a tfo 2 to 6 ounce
The only people who comment about how easy it is to catch fish at the canal are people who never fished it or are completely ignorant of the Canal. I'll continue to make Canal videos as long as I'd like, especially if my viewers want to see them...stay in your lane.

@staytight6340 Nah, you're the true clown... sounding like someone who has never fished the place. It shows you have no respect for the canal if that's true.

Great video
Thanks
Awesome video Bro. Keep up the good work.
Thanks. I'll try.
Nice strypers . That was definately a 30lb plus. I got 2 in my life so far 30lb 10 oz. and the other I was unable to weigh but measured 45 3]4 inc.
Woww where in the canal is this great footage

@marcuslarwa9098 Yeah, during certain tides and winds, they favor a side. The forecast was wrong on that day.
Wind, throw Metal!
The Canal is a very different place to fish. "Metal" isn't so popular for bass...blue fish, yes!
What do you run for a rod/reel setup when fishing the canal?

@@ShakaAantoine do you use Mono backing on your reel? If so what LB test and how many yards
@ericmota3818 Yes, it's usually light. Either 15 or 20lbs test.

@@staytight6340 what have you used on the Canal? Are you my new biggest hater now?
Try t o be there on an East wind and incoming tide.
You're suggesting wind against tide?
Nice action.
Just a quick observation; camera work needs a bit if improvement. The shaking was too much.
Thanks...its a GoPro 7 mounted on my head. I look around a lot. Thanks for your "observation"
@@ShakaAantoine Oh okay; that makes sense.
Good fish

How many more videos are you going to make in the cape cod canal?
The canal is the easiest place to catch a striper.
No true skills i guess
