  • This is my Lectric XP Bike that I modified for surf fishing. I wanted to show you my surf fishing setup. I added bike bags front & rear that are now used for tackle bags. I attached a 3 fishing rod holder to the rear bike rack. My fishing Lectric XP bike setup is quite simple and now it's fully equipped for the type of saltwater surf fishing I like to do. As far as my fishing tackle goes, I show you what I usually carry and I like to keep it simple as well. This fat tire e-bike gets me up and down the beach in a hurry.

    Never would have thought of the seashell/kickstand thing. That's probably the first thing they tell you down there, but here, not so much. Great video, Steve.

      Only takes one time watching your bike nose dive into the sand. Mucho Grassyass!

    Ive never seen someone smoke an unmodified Backwoods?? But on a serious note, my kid is jealous of the ebike, but wants to know if it would be capable of pulling a beach fishing buggy? One of those with the balloon tires. Any idea if its powerful enough? Thanks, keep up the good work.

      Backwoods are on Adventure Outdoors approved cigar list. Yes, the bike is fully capable especially with some fat tires on the buggy. The bike is actually a normal bike. You do not have to use the electric at all. Has 7 speeds. You can use the electric to assist you or just go full electric with a handle throttle like a motorcycle.

      By then something new & shiny will be out there and you know I have no self control. So clear a spot in your garage in September.

    Your tackle bag looks a lot like my tackle box Steve. All kinds of stuff thrown in there in sandwich baggies.😂

      No need for organization with this setup. Toss it in and head out. Fish are waiting.

      It's just a cheapie I found somewhere like Walmart. I ended up spray painting it black and I attached to bike with zip ties.

    Steve didn't see a place to put your fish. I guess you have to start catching before you worry about that. Jk, nice video.

      If I were going out with the intention of bringing some back for the frying pan, I'd just strap a small non-hardshell cooler to the handlebar or the back bike rack. It would not be an issue at all. They also make backpack coolers which would make it easy as well.

    What I want to know is where is your bike rusting? You obviously live in a humid salt water environment.

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  2 роки тому

      Very little rust. I don't go crazy trying to keep it rust free either. I rinse it lightly with a hose everywhere except near the electronics. Bolt heads and screw heads have some rust but not much. I spray all the moving parts chain, brake disc etc with WD or a silicon spray liberally every once in a while. I'm getting close to 700 miles on the bike. It has been a great bike. Rode it on the beach today.

    Ok, nobody believes you about the shell stand. We all know you are a cupboard shell necklace maker....lol. just admit it. You were to busy collecting sea shells for your necklaces and were paying attention to your fishing. Sasqwatch has pictures hes passing around.....seriously that bike set up is awesome. Pack the towel next time....
