Then The Lord opened my eyes to a darkside that exists within martial arts, that a lot of effort is put in to hiding, so he pulled me out of martial arts. Still I resisted and said no to him, not realizing he was tugging and yanking on me. Come 2020 or was it in 2021, during the pandemic and after I don't recall how many confessions, I finally started praying the Rosary. I thought at times, that The Lord wanted me to try and be a Deacon in the church. I was wrong on that, in 2022, I started going on retreats to a Benedictine Monastery that is about 3 hours from where I live, and now in 2023, and I have been praying about and continue to, The Lord has revealed to me, that he has told the monks at that Benedictine Monastery to admit me as a monk, and continues to get me ready for when it comes time for me to make the vows. If I had known, in my younger days, even back in the 1990's that being a monk is what The Lord had in his plan for me, I would have prayed about it and pursued it a long time ago. In closing The Lord didn't give up on me, despite me having for a long time before this said, no to him in some way or another. I urge people to regularly go to Confession(The Sacrament of Reconciliation), and prayerfully consider what The Lord may be calling you to.
Bless you on your journey. Your story shows the power of prayer bringing us to know the Lord and understanding our path in life before we join Him in eternity.

Respectfully, confession time is only meant for confessing our sins, for the sake of the Sacrament and also other people who are waiting for the time slot. Speaking heart to heart with Father will have to be booked for another time.
How fortunate you are that your sister could take care of that problem for you. I am sure she did not want to frighten you by telling you what it could’ve turned into. Yes, you were inconvenienced for a few days. But had she not removed it had it not bothered you enough to have her remove it you might have found yourself in a pretty serious problem. Blessings to your sister.
How exactly does someone choose God? How will that person know that he/she has successfully chosen God? How can people make sure they are not deluding themselves?
God's grace & His mercy is wonderful. I trust Him. The consequences of my decisions are so evident now I still trust Him. Father Mike did she send the thing removed to a lab for pathology?
Whatever sin you commit regularly, try to pray daily and use your best judgment to avoid it. They say change the people you surround yourself with, things, and change the places you go. I carry a heavy burden of shame from various sins from gossip, lying, etc. Never lose hope
Honestly I feel every day it becomes harder and harder to make any choice, especially when surroundings and circumstances are not supportive for making really Holy choice. What should I do?
If people choose God they are going to have to do more than just "choose" God, right? After "choosing" God people are going to have to do something to back that up, right. How are people going to genuinely and truly choose God?
So, correct my understanding if I'm wrong, but when we as Christians believe in the saving grace of Jesus' death on the cross, but occasionally we fall, and choose sin, with some latent expectation that Jesus will save us (which He will/does - by his Passion and death on the cross), haven't we effectively chosen Jesus' death on the cross; aren't we joining the throng stirred up by the Pharisees crying out "crucify Him, crucify Him", when Pilate was ready to release Him? So when we choose mortal sin, we are effectively choosing to send Jesus to the cross. That's the consequence. That's the price He pays for our wrong choices. It's something else to think about next time we think we might be able to get away with something. "they say, “The Lord does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive""
Paying a huge price for offenses i alone chose to harm another person …….. God what I was doing more than once wasn’t working for me…….forever I will, regret the offense until I’m worthy of forgiveness from the Lord and whom I offended….
Could you cover men's veiling? I know it used to be a thing but I find it interesting why it stopped? I think women stopped in 1980-s but that was more of a "sexual revolution" thing, and then it sounds like the church wanted to stay popular, rather than it actually being redundant due to some type of evolution (e.g. not celebrating Shabbat as Christians due to the "natural evolution" of Christ's coming)
This is so timely with the ending of attack on Titan. I won't go into spoilers. But it left me feeling sad. Plus a friend and I had been wanting to "get that show over with" so we could repent and turn to God. I know that is a very risky mentality. But thank God we are still here, and I can leave that show behind and choose God, choose life, and leave that sadness behind!
Mercy is not self pity or the pitying of others while believing they no longer have the need for personal boundaries which they have the right to set for themselves. Instead of for example them living in an institution where there is no door to their room whcih they cn shut to be alone when they want to.
Love all you guys, just wanted to make sure you understand salvation because most don't. Salvation is free, as stated in Romans "for the wages of sin is death, but the FREE gift of God is eternal life through christ Jesus our lord. Grace is also free by its very nature. Ephesians 2:8-9 "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves it is a GIFT of God. Not of works lest anyman should boast." Salvation is by grace through faith alone, you cannot add anything or you are not under grace. The Greek translation for the word grace is CHARIS meaning "unMERITTED favor." Simply believe the gospel to be saved and be saved permanently. "After you BELIEVED, you were sealed with the holy spirit of promise who is the GUARANTEE of our inherentance until the redemption of the purchased possession." Romans 11:7 "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."
I learned the hard way many times but I know that the Holy Spirit always guides me and will guide us all!

Hindsight is 20/20.
Hi Fr Mike, I would love to go to confession with you and talk about all the things I have questions about. God bless you.
Respectfully, confession time is only meant for confessing our sins, for the sake of the Sacrament and also other people who are waiting for the time slot. Speaking heart to heart with Father will have to be booked for another time.
Thank you!
AMEN ☝️💯Gracias Father MIKE ✌️💯
How fortunate you are that your sister could take care of that problem for you. I am sure she did not want to frighten you by telling you what it could’ve turned into. Yes, you were inconvenienced for a few days. But had she not removed it had it not bothered you enough to have her remove it you might have found yourself in a pretty serious problem. Blessings to your sister.
My husband found out 10 days ago he has diabetes. He is so angry..he has blamed me pray for him ...thank you
How exactly does someone choose God?
How will that person know that he/she has successfully chosen God?
How can people make sure they are not deluding themselves?
Good questions. I wonder the last question a lot
In Thanksgiving: ( USA 🇺🇸) : btw: The Presentation: ( information ℹ️ fabulous- awareness theological ) is wonderful: again: wonderful
life is hard, very hard, and i donot want to make decisions, just let God decide everything
Ngl, you got me. I was looking for insight on the Pope going ham again and I got a message instead.
God's grace & His mercy is wonderful. I trust Him. The consequences of my decisions are so evident now I still trust Him.
Father Mike did she send the thing removed to a lab for pathology?
Good question!
🎉🎉🎉
"get used to it Frankenstein"😭
I don't want to die father ive chosen grave sin time and time again I know I will face my consequences one day
Whatever sin you commit regularly, try to pray daily and use your best judgment to avoid it.
Switch off the news channels
Pray to your Guardian Angel for help as well as to the Holy Spirit for Divine help.❤😊
Surround yourself in the Church, our community. Be with supportive people, good role models. Read the Bible and continue to pray.
BroCuz, I haven’t finished the video... but I’m detoxing... nothing else. Agape.
Well i know to accept jesus christ as my lord god and saviour but i also accept his works
What do you think of Bhuddism? There are some aspects of it that I like.
♥️
In Thanksgiving: btw: The Very Reverend Father Mike Schmitz ( Roman Catholic) at Ascension Presents/ Presentation: btw: thank you 🙏
This is so timely with the ending of attack on Titan.
If I may ask, was the ending sad? How is related to this video, I'm curious to know?
It's hard being catholic-- and harder still, not being catholic.
Family physicians are cool. ;-)
Mind set properly no changes needed
"After you BELIEVED, you were sealed with the holy spirit of promise who is the GUARANTEE of our inherentance until the redemption of the purchased possession."
Romans 11:7 "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."
Any comment on the forced removal of Bishop Strickland?
