Years ago I used to watch this show on a regular. This was the best Cooking show on TV back in the day. And now that is on UA-cam I'm gonna watch them all again.👍🔥👌💯💯💯💯💯
I remember watching him with my mom. He was cooking outside and explaining why you should never use wine for cooking that you can't drink. It really is good to hear him again! I didn't even know he'd made it to YT until I decided to search for him, and I am so glad I did.
I would've loved to come to his house for Sunday dinners and sit around and listen to him talk and tell his stories. I just loved his stories. Love you and surly do miss you a lot. Wish I could've had the pleasure of meeting him in person. We need a lot more Justin Wilson's in this caotic world we're in now.
I loved the story he told in this video, especially since I'm from Crowley. I'm not old enough to know the dance hall, but I laughed so hard. Love this man!!!
Mamaw gave me a set for wedding gift. She said these are for you to learn and burn 😂🔥 the second you buy and try. By the third set you'll be either a pro 😉 or divorced. Wise women of our time.
@@germyw I never saw them, but you are probably right. I would write it as "Le me tell you a sory", and "I gawrantee" partly because that's how I hear him, partly because it would get questioned.
“We par boil that Pawnee boy set that boy spirit free, quarter him out. Throw ova dat rice and crab I gahrontee” Probably my favorite quote by Justin. I always loved his show.
@@aprilspencer9329 Try "Townsend's" they do more than cook. I wouldn't tell everyone on here to go there, but you might enjoy their historical cooking. Just a feeling.
Tony Mazariego I think it’s his own brand. You made me wonder. Ha ha. I googled Justin Wilson’s picante sauce and looked at the images. That’s what the bottle looks like to me. I am on the telephone though and I can’t see quite as well as I wish I could regardless
One of the best chefs to ever grace our planet. A true gentleman and very humble. He is missed by many including me.
Well in memory of Justin he would say "I am not a Chef but a Damn good cook".
You can tell Justin is tired.... and yet he loves what he is doing.... saw this man when I was a child.. and he was the master of his craft.....
He wasn't tired enough to keep cashing those checks.
This was what, 1998? He passed in 2001 at 87 years old. I'd be tired too.

You should make t-shirts that say "Let me tell you a story" on one side and "I Guarantee" on the other side. I love you man!!!
They did back in the day (80s).

This is good food and Justin Wilson is always a class act. Even to the end when skin and bones takes it tole. A true Southern USA Gentleman.
Oui oui!
I love making his recipes!!!!!
THE BEST!!!!!!!! my buddies and I make his dishes in our race car pits!!!!
Great man - good cook.
Always enjoyed Justin . Not sure of his age at this point but he sure seemed to be awfully tired.
Rich Parker being old can do that to a person 😉
But the love for cooking was still a 1000%
He is definitely sliding a bit, but would still watch him this way over most crap cooking today. ♥️
He just need a good cup of “them Sauternes wines” 🤠🤠🤠🤠

His show on PBS got me through 2 back surgerys in the early 90s. My wife at the time had taped every show she could find!
*happy sigh* Good old PBS! Happy memories!
This looks yummy thanks for recipe
The later years of Justin Wilson. Obviously he is alot slower. I watched this guy as a child only because I loved the way he talked.

The picante sauce he used, does anyone know what brand that was?

Hello Tony. Looking through all of our product catalogues, we have never made a commercial picante sauce.
@@JustinWilson_SPLLC that was definitely his picture on the bottle.
Love Justin Wilson but man did he oversalt everything!!!
well, I'm Cajun (unlike him) and we've always cooked maque CHOUX as a separate dish..no crawdads....but I loved Mr wilsons show !!
RUDE!!!

When did this episode originally air?
Marco Patino thinking 95-96 . He passed in 2001.
Wasn't he still doing "Louisiana Cookin': Home Grown" at the time?
Not sure but when i watched him he was outside in the shade cooking on public tv. Guessing that was 80s
I can remember watching him in late 60's early 70
Marco Patino my dad and mom just loved him!!! Made them so happy when that watched his wonderful show!!! What a great personality!!!
