Iron Maiden is one of those groups that really is so emotionally taxing for a metal band. No matter what the album it just hits so so hard. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son got me through some dark places. Just an absolute piece of art.
Iron Maiden are masters of live performance... there are no bad live songs from Iron Maiden, you keep getting more and more fan of them... I love them since 1985 when as a 6years old boy I heard them for the first time and got hooked!
Iron Maiden is another level, they're doing it for almost 50 years and they still making music and enjoying it like their first show. Simply, Legends 👏. 🎤Up😈 🎸 The 🤘🥁 Irons 🔱
Empire of a clouds - their longest song and probably the best storytelling wise you can get from them. There is somewhere youtube version of it made by some fan which helps understand story while listening. When the wild wind blows , The Clansman are also another where Bruce shines delivering great story.
Recently Senjutsu has some of their best storytelling songs. I think about Senjutsu, Lost In A Lost World, The Time Machine, Darkest Hour, Death Of The Celts and The Parchment (fun fact about The Parchment is that, even recently, it was the song that i love the least, and since a few day it's one of my favorites).

Everyone needs Iron Maiden in their lives. The music, the songs, the stories they tell, the live performances. You may find other bands that are more commercial friendly to the radio stations (in America), the record companies promote them more, and they can even put out great records and kill it live, but they still don't have what Maiden have. Go see them even once if you haven't already seen them and you'll know what I'm talking about. Been listening to them since '82. Still my favourite band 🤘🏻🇬🇧🖤
I read an interview recently from Charlie Benante, the drummer from Anthrax. He credited Iron Maiden for creating thrash metal. He wasn't calling them a thrash band, but if you get the chance to listen to the first two Maiden albums, "Iron Maiden" and especially "Killers" - the ones with Paul Di'anno on vocals and Clive Burr on drums, albums that influenced so many thrash metal bands in the early 80s, you might hear some resemblance. You can hear it in songs like "Phantom of the Opera", "Murders in the Rue Morgue", "Killers", "Twilight Zone" and "Purgatory"
I agree, but with that I would say that pre Number was a different genre than post Bruce arrival. Not that I don't like Di'anno era Maiden, I am glad Maiden handed over the reigns to Anthrax and cofounded what would become recognized as "British Heavy Metal". I believe that Anthrax was always a much better thrash band than Maiden ever would have been.
Hi Aileen, great choice. This is a very melodic song with lots of changes and all three guitarists Dave, Adrian and Janick solo in this song. GREAT PERFORMANCE AND GREAT CHOICE!!!!
This will always be one of my favorite performances from a band that is literally known for their live performances. It gives me goosebumps to watch this.
It will probably blow you away to hear them on their last couple of tours. Bruce recovered from throat cancer and is still going strong. The whole band is still amazing!!!
Thank you so much for your exciting and heartfelt reaction. You are absolutely right: Bruce Dickinson is an exceptional singer, and the guys have and express so much joy on stage. Iron Maiden is a world phenomenon. The masters of story-telling Metal. Stay positive, and stay tuned! Greetings from Germany! 🙂👍
Love this...love seeing you and other reactors smile non-stop through the entire performance...I think itself impossible to not smile with these maiden live vids...so fun
You simply can't go wrong with Iron Maiden. No matter what it is. Definitely check out the song Infinite Dreams. The vocals are fantastic, and the lyrics are very impactful. Up the Irons !!! On another note... You should check out the red dirt metal band Texas Hippie Coalition, starting with their song Pissed Off and Mad About It. You won't be disappointed.
Bruce is such a storyteller. He could sing about anything and make people paralyzed about what he's about to tell you. It's so theatralic what they do together. So good!❤
This show En Vivo in Santiago, Chile has some amazing performances in it. When The Wild Wind Blows is in my opinion a masterpiece. Another good one from the same show is The Talisman Bruce's vocals on this one are nothing short of epic, one of the very few performances where he doesn't run and jump around but just plants himself centre stage and let's it rip because it's just such a hard song to sing. I promise you won't be disappointed with either performance.
I personally think what the Irons do is a dying art!... they captivate you by their talents...especially at live shows!..nothing is false...no lip syncing..no Auto tune..brilliant musicianship and Mastery vocals...sure some special effects to set the scene...but wholesome them...almost 50 years of doing what they love shows at their performance..I've seen them twice..and dread the day when they call it a day.
If you haven't seen Iron Maiden live; you are missing one of the greatest performances ever! Bruce is not only the singer but a great story teller! I have seen several concerts and they are all great! God bless Iron Maiden!
There are some people who sing in bands and they learn to love the crowd and the spotlight, but Bruce was a natural born stage star from the moment he joined the band. No matter what time you watch Iron Maiden perform in their career, he is always so at home in front of an audience that performing seems to come as naturally as breathing. And other musicians at the time did, like, things on stage; Halford wheeled a motorcycle out for some songs or came down on a crane, other other bands jumped around and grooved, but Bruce was something else. He would sprint across the stage, climb the things they built for their sets, he would bring out giant Eddy performers to beat up, he would put on costumes for songs, and he just always had a great time being there with everyone. He is a an absolute icon of a frontman.
My fav thing about maiden is their stability and giving people happiness through so mamy amazing songs and live shows. Also musicwise my fav parts are always the instrumental passages and melodies they keep doing every single album.
Glad you get a chance to enjoy some of the classics. I know you enjoy the official recordings or music videos, but with certain bands it's just such a better experience to see them in the heat of the moment with the whole stadium singing along :)
The Talisman (the same concert). Bruce almost didn't move to sing the song. He was so concentred... Well, the result you need to see with your own eyes.
Just recently found your channel and I'm glad you came up under the recommended page. After watching the other Iron Maiden songs you have reacted to, you've been the only one that have brings up Steve's talent with that bass. He just plays non stop through out most of the songs. I would like to recommend you Iron Maiden - The Nomad from their Brave New World album. Such a great song, that whole album as well.
Yes they are currently touring. I'm going to date myself here, but I saw them the first time in 1982, and will see them for my 9th time in September. I'm so pumped!
Bruce’s strong interest in playing soccer allows him all that energy and abilities to really get into the music. Amazing voice for a guy who’s had serious issues with his throat. These guys totally rock!
Bruce's sport is fencing bro. One of the greatest fencers in Britain. Its Steve thats an avid footy player. Even still, both of them run and jump around the stage and it'll be partly down to their sports
Awesome video! Love it that you’re exploring all these bands, I recommend two songs: Wasted Years, Flight 666 Live The Writing on the Wall Second one specifically as it’s from the latest album from 2021 and is just a banger to listen to especially with the animated video
I suggested this video months ago...glad it finally arrived. I love your reactions Aileen, very genuine and you are having so much fun. Keep up the good work.
Hi from Australia again. At age 57 it is awesome to see a beautiful Woman like yourself getting into the music from decades ago when I was a teenager. Also fantastic is Thin Lizzy and Rory Gallagher. Also check out Blackfoot. Love from downunder.
well what to say, a Band that is arround for that long, with members that have been through ups and downs of life and their music resonates across generations...still loved and valued and full of inspiration/ passion...LEGENDARY. Irons up
LOVE MAIDEN !!❤🤘 First time I saw them in concert was in "85" in Germany at a MONSTERS OF ROCK CONCERT with Judas Priest--Virgin Steele--Scorpions and Saxon. Wish they still had concerts like that...Started on Friday night and went on through Sunday.
If you love this live version, check out Fear Of The Dark live in Rio..... hands down the best live performance. Also, thowing in recommends.... Moonchild/Infinite Dreams... Wasted Years... and if you wanna hear him really hit the highs, check out Flight of Icarus..
It's not the greatest song by Iron Maiden, but probably the best performance by Bruce. I completely buy the whole story from him. So animated, absolutely perfect story telling. ☺️ Up The Irons!
Hi My name is Paul and I am from the uk. Seen iron maiden live about 15 times now. I do believe your getting the bug for them. You really should look at this list of there songs. TRUST ME!! Also, with reference to a comment you made about ozzy in another video. Most recent sabbath songs to look at. Loner God is dead Enjoy and I only came across your channel and I love it. Great work xx
Since you are wanting to react to other Maiden songs, I recommend the same ones from the other day. Strange World sung by its first official singer (Paul D'ianno), Stranger In A Strange Land (from the album Somewhere In Time (with Bruce Dickinson) and I would add Infinite Dreams by Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, a beautiful song where it is look and where Bruce shines like few times. I love your reactions because beyond the voice, you also like to appreciate the instruments and you know how to differentiate them from one another (something that many others cannot) which makes you a very complete youtuber of this branch. Cheers!
Play some recent videos. I just saw them last week in San Diego & it was the best show ever. Important to note Bruce was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014. They released Book of Souls in 2016. I've been a super fan since 1984. They are incredible. They have as much energy as ever.
Hey Aileen. You've just made my day! I love this performance from Maiden and I'm so glad you enjoyed it too. They are masters of storytelling with a proper structure of introduction, main story and ending. They often wrap up a song similarly to the way it started, like a motif. I've seen Maiden on every tour and they never disappoint. The energy is infectious and constant. Seriously, there is no other band I'd rather see live. By the way, shout out to that eyebrow for putting a big ol' smile on my face. You're a gem🤨 Edit: Other Maiden songs you could check out... Paschendale (live), Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (live), Alexander the Great (studio) and Empire of the Clouds (studio). They also released a track last July called The Writing on the Wall (official video). This should provide you with a bit of variety and also be a little different from other reaction channels. Other than that, get yourself to a Maiden gig soon 😘
Like your paying Respects to the Founding Fathers. ...Sabbath , Zepplin, Dont Miss DIO last in line 1984 Philly Dance of Death... A Great Live Version! 1" Sign of the Cross." Bass Goes Hard! 2 Rock in Rio "The Clansman"
Bruce Dickinson has solo albums as well. Chemical wedding is a prog rock masterpiece. Hands down best thing he’s done. No one ever talks about his solo career.
Hi Aileen! Waiting impatiently for the publication of your reaction!! Another great Maiden song although, to be honest, it wouldn't have been my fourth choice (I think you have four with this one....) Why? I will try to explain myself. When I heard this song for the first time, it didn't stick in my memory instantly, so I had to listen to it many times. Maybe it's because of the melody, the type of composition, ... I don't know, or simply that some songs are catchier than others. And, in my case, Dance of Death took a while to settle in my memory. Since I'm sure you will react to many more Maiden songs, here's my humble suggestion: ALL OF THEM. But since that won't be probably possible, if you want to go on with an epic longer song, similar to Rime of... the next ones would be, for me, Alexander The Great, Powerslave and Revelations. If you prefer a shorter song and, how to say... direct, like a shot, I recommend Aces High, The Trooper and Run to the Hills. Special mention for the incredible Waysted Years, short but...ufff...what a song!!!! But this is just the beginning. We are only scratching the surface of the Maiden world. As always, greetings from Spain. PD: I left a private message on your IG
absolutely LEGENDS!!!!! I've been listening this band since 1985 and it was a inflection point in my life, nothing can go wrong when you listen IRON MAIDEN
Oh Aileen... What a task to recommend you more Maiden's songs. I mean... There's so much to pick up that... Ok, let's start with the beginning: -It's time to meet Eddie, so... The Trooper live at Rock in Rio 2019 would be great or.. Iron Maiden (the song) live in Santiago de Chile Flight 666 -Wasted Years live in Monterrey Flight 666 (you'll meet Ed Force One at the beginning) -Seventh song of seventh song. I mean... if you loved the bass you would love this live version at Rock am Ring. -One of my favorites: Afraid to shoot strangers (Rock in Rio 2019 I think) -And a Masterpiece: "Phanton of The Opera" I remember they played this one in a concert that I attended in 2009 I think... Oh My GOD!!!! Those guitar solos.... AMAZING!!!!! So... Have So Fun!!!! XoXo
I want the same shirt that he has, Psyc Ward shirt. lolol P.S your HB went over 100 couple of times when u listened music. Usually heart beat rises when you talk all exited.
#uptheIrons. I love seeing someone enjoy my Favorite band as much as I do. If you get a chance to see them live do so, you will not regret it. A few more songs you should check out. Revelations, possibly my favorite song, 22 Acacia Avenue, Powerslave, Wasted Years, Gangas Kahn, and anything from 7th son of a 7th son. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with Maiden.
Only 10 days left, and I see them live in Athens (16 July)! I can't wait! Up the Irons! Bravo Aileen, next song must be the "Paschendale", thank you! 🤘🏻
Iron Maiden is my favorite band of all time and it makes me so happy whenever I see other young people getting into their music! Bruce Dickinson is the most iconic heavy metal singer for sure. No contest. However, there is one guy who I'd argue was the most technically gifted metal singer in his prime: Geoff Tate! If you enjoy Maiden this much, I think you'll lover Geoff's former band, Queensrÿche, who emerged on the scene in the trails of Iron Maiden. They quickly develop their own sound and were pioneers in the progressive metal genre. Geoff Tate was classically trained as a singer and that shows in his performances. I would recommend the song "Take Hold of the Flame" live form Tokyo in 1984. One of the best vocal performances of all time, and up there with Bruce for me :) ua-cam.com/video/xk84dVq644k/v-deo.html
I've never seen Maiden live, but they're on my list. I've seen The Iron Maidens which is a female cover band which are very good. They do have a lot of energy and great chemistry, not a lot of bands do this. It seems a lot of bands are together as a business instead of for enjoyment. I think also Helloween and Nightwish seem to really enjoy playing music to entertain the croud instead of just a job. There are probably others but those are the two that come to mind off the top of my head.
Did you notice that Janick (the one who did not get dizzy) had his eyes closed the entire time throughout his solo. My favorite Maiden song is from their 1988 album Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, The Clairvoyant.
The best album of all maiden is seventh son of the seventh son by me. If you want something from maiden that’s great. But all maiden is good and the band that I have listened to from the age of thirteen. Now at aged of 46 I am so glad to grown up with this fantastic band. Have a great day to you all. I am from Sweden 🇸🇪
The more Iron Maiden, the better!
Always. The answer is always MORE MAIDEN.
80s, 90s, aughts, teens, whatever the hell we are in now. Doesn’t matter. The answer is always MORE MAIDEN.

Brave new World is also very good
Terrible song. Piano ffs
Definitely, this is THE song if someone wants to know Bruce Dickinson as an wholesome artist.

Bruce has so much energy, partly because Iron Maiden never got into the drug scene. They drank for sure but drugs was not their thing.
Been a maiden fan since the 80's, finally saw them live in 2010 (Australia) and they were amazing.

They also released a track last July called The Writing on the Wall (official video). This should provide you with a bit of variety and also be a little different from other reaction channels. Other than that, get yourself to a Maiden gig soon 😘
After all these Years they can still Kick Ass!.....one of my ALL TIME Faves.....
That was a great description how they make a true listener out of you as they enjoy watching you watching them. Chemistry...
Great reaction Aileen! I was there, this was one of the best concerts I have ever seen, great memories!! Hi from La Paz, Bolivia.
Like your paying Respects to the Founding Fathers. ...Sabbath , Zepplin, Dont Miss DIO last in line 1984 Philly
Dance of Death... A Great Live Version!
1" Sign of the Cross." Bass Goes Hard!
2 Rock in Rio "The Clansman"
Bruce Dickinson has solo albums as well. Chemical wedding is a prog rock masterpiece. Hands down best thing he’s done. No one ever talks about his solo career.
watching your reaction I go back in time to that show... I was there!... god that was beautiful
One of my favourite Iron Maiden songs \m/
Flight of Icarus is also perfect for a short song
@@КоляШидловский-ы2ъ Agree with you!
love Iron Maiden so many good songs, and Tom M.
absolutely LEGENDS!!!!! I've been listening this band since 1985 and it was a inflection point in my life, nothing can go wrong when you listen IRON MAIDEN
Amazing as always
Bruce is the great example why all singers should also be trained as olympic fencers! He probably has a steel core.
Oh Aileen... What a task to recommend you more Maiden's songs. I mean... There's so much to pick up that...
Ok, let's start with the beginning:
-It's time to meet Eddie, so... The Trooper live at Rock in Rio 2019 would be great or.. Iron Maiden (the song) live in Santiago de Chile Flight 666
-Wasted Years live in Monterrey Flight 666 (you'll meet Ed Force One at the beginning)
-Seventh song of seventh song. I mean... if you loved the bass you would love this live version at Rock am Ring.
-One of my favorites: Afraid to shoot strangers (Rock in Rio 2019 I think)
-And a Masterpiece: "Phanton of The Opera" I remember they played this one in a concert that I attended in 2009 I think... Oh My GOD!!!! Those guitar solos.... AMAZING!!!!!
So... Have So Fun!!!!
XoXo
What makes Maiden legendary is Eddie. All their songs are about him in some way. There is a page that makes Iron Maiden cartoons.
The trooper is my favorite Iron Maiden song oh yeah new subscriber here.
Revelations, Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Empire of the Clouds, Aces High, Alexander the Great, so many great stories told and history lessons taught.
Up the IRONS🎸
Looking forward to the next one 👍
BLOOD BROTHERS next!!
I want the same shirt that he has, Psyc Ward shirt. lolol
P.S your HB went over 100 couple of times when u listened music. Usually heart beat rises when you talk all exited.
You should do the Talisman - En Vivo by Iron Maiden next! Its Bruce's best live performance ever in my opinion
Non mi stancherò mai di dire che sei BELLISSIMA e FAVOLOSA
They have some of the best riffs and their transitions are so smooth
Iron is my favorite band too 🖤
Can't get over the fact that I've been listening to this band for 30 years.
Just brilliant,up the iron's ⚒️⚒️, no one tells a story like Bruce, so threatrical
Please, same concert... When the Wild Wind Blows.
With Maiden, the choices are endless
I've never seen Maiden live, but they're on my list. I've seen The Iron Maidens which is a female cover band which are very good. They do have a lot of energy and great chemistry, not a lot of bands do this. It seems a lot of bands are together as a business instead of for enjoyment. I think also Helloween and Nightwish seem to really enjoy playing music to entertain the croud instead of just a job. There are probably others but those are the two that come to mind off the top of my head.
I'll never get tired of watching him jumping around like a lunatic. 😁🤘
Did you notice that Janick (the one who did not get dizzy) had his eyes closed the entire time throughout his solo. My favorite Maiden song is from their 1988 album Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, The Clairvoyant.
Probably because he wrote the song together with steve harris
Great reaction. Thank you. : )
You should totally check out the Trooper! It is one of my favorite Maiden tracks!
I saw them last saturday live and they`re still amazing. Great reaction video.
