I think there’s a balance to it that can be achieved. Scoreposting, for me, goes hand in hand with pushing my skills since it is a source of motivation towards hitting milestones. There are other internal factors driving me to improve as well (i.e. rankings, physical fitness). So I don’t think the desire to share things you’re proud of diminishes either internal motivators or the fact that you were successful.
What you said about the whole first 16 pfc is a good point though; I think that kind of thing steps further into “letting potential attention dictate the way you play the game”. It’s good to prioritize your internal motivations for how you want to improve, but I just don’t think that means you need to deny any attention off the back of legitimate achievements, especially in such a supportive community.

@@Cirnology :D for sure for sure, at the end of the day you gotta discover what makes ya feel best, whether that's taking a break from socials (pretty healthy thing to do sometimes) or whatever. Just NEVER FORGET THE GRIND

Logan, as long as you still have the motivation and the desire to improve, you don't need to rely on score posting as an incentive to keep you at it. I'm not trying to give you the idea to stop score posting, but coming from a person you saw went from 36k to #2337 in Osu! Mania, it comes to show that progress does not come from getting views or even becoming renowned. It's the fact that you want to improve and become better. But I am just saying, if you love score posting, Logan, I'm not stopping you from doing what you love, but I'm saying it is good to take a break. Once in a while.
