This is probably the best flip top design i've ever seen

This reminds me of my Mom's old singer sewing machine - very nicely designed Kevin.

    Hello my friend.
This is a very good idea. Very good for saving space. Handy for small narrow workshops. Thank you for sharing the Flip-Top Tool stand construction and giving ideas. See you. Big greetings. Stay healthy and happy....

That is the littlest and one of the simplest flippers I've seen. At least if you are a little short on space you can excavate as needed 😉

Yes if I get low on space, I can start tunneling under the city and have a hidden Maker-Bunker!!!! :)
      Thanks for the great idea!!

That came out nice, and its stowable. I have the same bandsaw and it just sits there on the bench collecting dust,

Very nice idea! It’s probably better that the table is removed, because when it’s inverted it’s probably pretty close to kneecap height, and sooner or later…

    Hi Kevin,
I have seen these before... they work well.
You implementation will work well in your workshop.
    Take care

I have the same band saw and like your storage idea. I want to make a mobile table saw outfeed bench and want to incorporate your idea into it. My goal is table saw, band saw and thickness planer all in one mobile table that I can store under a storage shelf when not in use. The band saw would be mid point in the table like yours and the planer on the opposite end from the table saw.
    Thank you and God Bless.

That sounds like a really great solution for a mobile workstation like you described! Hope that turns out well for you. I would love to see or hear about the progress you make with it.

I like to engineer things with the simplest design in mind and only build it strong enough for the function it is intended.

I think your stow-away idea is wonderful. It makes me think of a sewing machine stow-away on Mom 1950 something New Home cabinet. I've been trying to find the same style cabinet for my 1985 Kenmore machine. Hugs and Lve to you and Billiejo and treats for Nora

Nice soulution, Kevin! Have you considered excavating some extra space underneath for that table - so you don't have to take it off? Cheers.

That worked out very well Kevin. Pity about the table but I think you'll get used to setting it on quickly - you've got to work with what you've got to work with. Am I imagining or did old treadle sewing machines used to have a similar flip-top arrangement? Thanks Kevin, I enjoyed that.

Hey. I recently was given one of these bandsaws. It is missing the tension knob and one of the cover knobs as well. Would you be able to point me in the right direction on replacements? Or can i just order some thumb screws with same threads? And if so what size would they be. Thank you.
