DESPITE being born with a rare condition that attacked his lower spine - Ernie Ibarra continues to father two children and live his life to the full. Ernie, 30, was born with Caudal Regression Syndrome, otherwise known as Sacral Agenesis. Affecting just one in 25,000 births, the congenital disorder prevents Ernie from using his legs - he has to walk with his hands. Ernie was also born with just one kidney that functions at 30 percent and he suffers with constant back pains. In spite of the shocking adversity his condition has brought over the years, Ernie, who lives in Phoenix Arizona, works a full time job and strives to be the best father and husband for the sake of his family.

OMGGGGGG this put a huge smile on my face he was my old neighbor him and his brothers were great friends of ours. There wasn't a day he didn't smile or have a skate board lol nothing ever stopped him and I'm glad we all shared great memories!!

I have caudal regression syndrome myself. I know the pain and battle of this disorder. I've been dealing with this for 18 years and this gave me hope! it's hard to find someone that has this knowing how RARE this is. I'm happy I'm finding people who have this and gives me inspiration to not let this slow me down and live life to the fullest! So if he wants to know another person who was it. I'm right here. I live in Phoenix Arizona and I have a feeling that he probably does wear gloves when the pavement is hot. Same for when it's cold outside and I think it would help him prevent the development of calluses.

There's a guy named Rowdy who has the same condition and he wears these sort of biking motorcycle gloves, the fingers are free but the heel and palm of the hand have little pads to support them. They look cool haha.

I'm not sure if it's an issue for you or not, but I would suggest you consider wearing gloves while walking on those dirty surfaces, that can also prevent cuts to your palms. Wishing you and family love always.
