This was randomly suggested for me. Do I know this man? No. Was I thinking it? No. Did it make me instantly curious enough to instantly watch it? Yes, yes it did.
Omg totally 😂 I love the way he approached this. I definitely agree wholeheartedly that disabled people shouldn't have to deal with all that and the way he explained things made perfect sense in a non abrasive and honest approach.
I guess without legs the torso looks shorter, so people probably assume that amputation is further up is which is kinda what I thought. Very educational :)
I really think that's where a lot of the questions come from, short proportions and maybe slouching or some illusion caused by his clothes. I clicked on the video because I thought his torso ends about where his belly button should be.
@@TempestPhaedra it's likely that there's at least some, if not a fair amount, of muscle atrophy at his core and hips due to him not needing to use them (or at a much more infrequent rate than those that have legs) adding to the illusion of his torso being shorter than it is. He also seems to have quite broad shoulders and defined arm muscles so again that could factor into it.
He explains in a different video that a) his pelvis never grew due to his condition and b) it gets tucked/folded under him when he sits so he doesn’t sit on his junk haha. Title is “why shorts are accessible” if you wanna watch it, it was pretty interesting.
Its not really peoples fault for thinking he doesnt have everything below a belly button, his shirt typically makes him look like he doesnt have anything, so they arent idiots. Just curious lol
@Seamus F if adults didn’t get answers when kids, they’ll have the same questions. No difference. It’s all about how it’s done and where and all that. Nothing wrong with that. You’re way too negative.
He is awsum!! Its actually nobody's buisness. Exactly how he expressed at the end on how to and when to ask anyone about there disability.. He is actually sharing and educating and that is his choice. More power to you!! Blessings
@@Spencer2TheWest You probably have to reinvent the wheel for yourself for all those things that we have taken for granted. But at so many other levels, your life is extremely interesting. Awesome.
This guy is one of the nicest people I've ever found on the internet. Like, he's completely straightforward, but in a very polite and respectful and understanding way, and he's also very charismatic. I'm literally amazed by his personality.
My curiosity about this particular question was only spurred by the perception that you were missing your pelvic bones because your torso appears so short. It can look like you're 'sitting' on your rib cage. Your explanation was clear and well-presented. I appreciate your taking the time to indulge your audience.
I think the reason this question is asked so often is because of the length of your body (for lack of a better term/description). It looks as if your body ends at mid-torso or just end the bellybutton. That gives the illusion that anything below the bellybutton is missing. Thank you for so willingly and graciously answering this any other questions that come your way. What an inspiration you are to everyone. There is nothing better in a man (with or without legs, eggplant, limes or peach) than a sense of humor.
I think it’s probably due to atrophy of muscles that would be anchored into lower limbs and added bulk to those for the upper limbs and torso that give the illusion of his body ending mid torso. It’s surprising how many muscles the body uses to move your legs, and how those muscles and those bones they anchor to contribute to body shape.
It made sense, but I'm still wondering if resting upright (standing) puts pressure on his genitals at all since they would be the lowest point on his body.
When I was a kid, a neighbor boy had to have spinal surgery and was in the local Shriner's Hospital in a body cast for about a year. He, and subsequently his siblings and some of his friends, myself included, met another patient and became friends with him. His name was Sammy. He was born with no legs and really no anatomy lower than his bellybutton. His mother had thrown him in a dumpster outside the hospital after he was born. A nurse found him and he was made a ward of the state and the Shriner's Hospital had taken him in and done a lot of surgeries to make it possible for him to function when it came to eliminating bodily waste. He was very upfront and matter of fact about it. He always had the best attitude and was very smart. He walked on his hands and rolled around on a skateboard most of the time. After my neighbor was discharged we all kept in touch for a little while, but as we were all kids (I was 9), we grew and changed. I don't know whatever happened to him. He would be about 68 or 70 now.
I love how he was so gracious about setting boundaries and reminding people that just because someone is different, that doesn't mean they're a continual teaching moment for people's ignorance or unconsidered curiosity.
IamCree Have you watched 'Sabia and Loren'? Loren is in the same boat, he had an accident that took away his legs when he was about 17/18. He's about 21 now.
What people often fail to realize is that if when you see/meet a disabled/different person you go to them and ask about their situation/make a comment about them, that is a few minutes of your life. But if every person the disabled/different person meets does that, can you imagine what their life becomes? How frustrating it is to continually hear the same comments around you or to continually have to answer questions? Some people might have a natural inclination to teaching and sharing, but some others might well not! Don't make someone's life more difficult that it is to satisfy your curiosity, unless you have the impression they might appreciate your interest or you wouldn't be able to find this sort of information anywhere else and you're dying to know and you can think of a nice, tactful, not imposing way to ask! Even though I assure you there's plenty of people on the internet willing to share about their lives to help other people understand. Maybe more willing that the random person you meet just going on with their lives on the street 😉
@@thenightporter yes, of course some of these questions are just straight up rude and produced by morbid curiosity rather than true desire to understand how someone's else lives! My sister is a redhead while everyone else in the family had dark hair, and my mother was asked by several random stranger "what did the father think". I mean, how can you ask such a question?! So really, the concept of people making absurdly intruding questions is not so foreign to me. I just pointed out how even the more kindly expressed, genuinely curious and well-meaning questions could have in the longer run a negative effect and that we should all consider before asking 😉
I think you are soooo nice to answer these questions that people have THE AUDACITY TO ASK!! I WOUKD JUST TELL THEM NONE OF YOUR #*##! BUSINESS.....OH, and excuse my French!
For one thing: I love how you set this video up. You provided an explaination for a question, explained why that question is inappropriate and potentially offensive at times, and then provided a solution for the next time someone has a question. And you did it with positivity, and no harsh criticism, words, or language. I appreciate that. And for another: If you wouldn’t mind, I would like to ask about how it feels. Mainly, if you still feel your legs, even though they’re not there, and if you do, what is it like when you are sitting on something and your legs would have been moving through an obstacle?
Yes, I struggle with answering some ppl... Diplomatically, when they expect every moment to be a teaching moment from someone already disadvantaged. Not to say he is or isn't, but as a disabled woman, I feel that way personally.
I would imagine he does feel his legs sometimes. Phantom limb pains are a real thing. I don't know that from experience, but I have read that before. Especially since he wasn't born like this. He did have legs at one point, ergo he knows how it feels to have them on some level, even if he only had them for 5 years. Does it feel weird? Absolutely; I can say that without a shadow of a doubt.
2 years ago, during Passover, I took my fam to Lancaster County, where we went on an authentic Amish buggy tour. Since it was Passover, most everybody there was Jewish. One fellow asked our buggy driver, "If we were to knock on an Amish family's door and ask to see an authentic Amish home, would they let us in?" I thought (but was not ridiculous enough to say aloud), "If some random stranger knocked on your door asking to see an authentic Jewish home, would you let him in?" Like our vlogger here, I would be fine if someone just came over and asked for something to drink or perhaps a snack and then, while munching away, said that s/he'd always been curious about the dynamics of Jewish families, but don't expect that somebody of a different culture will ever open up their own home as your personal museum tour.
I often get the feeling that with a handicap everyone can see, you are not believed to have private sphere. You'd be surprised by what strangers all say and want to know...
Some people are just more curious than polite (like a child). (Also the parasocial relationship a creator might play a role.) Might be better he addressed it than having people speculate. There should be no shame in bodily functions and no one wanted him literally filming himself pee.
@@longestfuneralever Basically the vibe you give off. Or to say when you meet someone, it's the impression your brain is getting of said person. Like when someone you meet, you get a bad feeling or when you meet someone you feel safe around them.
You explained that so beautifully and nonjudgmentally . Where I would probably have long since gotten fed up with random people asking me inappropriate questions in a public place where I'm just living my life. You're a good person. Thank you. We need more good people in the world!❣~Darcy

Uh, if you actually felt the need to type out “he DiDnt put ME to sHamE” ...😬 👍 think about it. It shouldn’t get under your skin, especially since it’s clearly not intended to. It’s a comment, intended to lift someone deserving, up. Everything isn’t about you.

You're brave to go so public, especially on such a personal level. Thanks.
Lmao my auntie got one of her legs amputated and we visited her in hospital, and my mam said something about putting her special boot on the leg which was amputated. I don’t remember exactly what was said it’s been like 3 and a half years.
@@peterjohnson2793 This is my question as well. Does it need to be moved out of the way? Is there any extra protection needed? I'm not a guy, so I don't know how it all works normally. Maybe there's no issue. 🤷🏻♀️
Well, there are a few things we as humans all do, eat sleep poop. These basic needs connect us as animals,so when we see a variation in those things we want to know how/why and we want to know if our fellow human is "alright".
@@OppositeofHATE7 yeah we wanna know by instinct but that does'nt mean it's appropriate to ask, or that disabled people owe others to explain their existance. Like sure people are curious and thats normal but it doesnt mean we're entitled to explinations about everything we're curious about.

My grandpa was runover by a train, that he used to "ride" to school. He miraculously didn't die but lost both legs, and somehow lived to tell the tale. @Saucy Boy I was waiting for someone to ask lmao Let ya boi explain.. So witches, pagans, and many many many cultures follow tradition in the form of anscestor veneration. Empowering them, means empowering yourself as well as those on the other side. Hope this was eye opening❤ (Also about the disabled guy being an anscestor, ion think you can be an anscestor and be currently living, you'd have to die to be considered and anscestor, soo descendant, until death.)

K so what i got from this video: •You have a really short torso •ur funny yet you are smart •people ask really personal questions •and you explain things way better than all my school teachers
That's the part I don't get either. His torso seems too short to hold his lower vital organs and intestines. It seems to end around his belly button, not his hips. From his explanation, he has pelvic bones and his legs are gone at the joints. I'm still confused but so be it. He's quite amazing.
@@lemon1657 That is because he is resting/ sitting on his ribcage which is why the rest of his upper body isn't visible. @@m.8198 Thanks, you're right. I saw the video now. It's quite extraordinary and he's so cheerful despite any obstacle. Wish we could all be so positive.
I agree. It answered my questions about approaching someone with a disability. I was on the right track, but there were a few things I hadn't thought of.
I grew up with a disabled sibling, so knowing how to interact with disabled people is second nature to me. I can't believe people would just point blank go up to him and ask him deeply personal questions. That's a HUGE no-no!
@@scj7408 it depends on who you ask. For some, the torso is the human body minus the arms, legs, and head. For others, the waist/hips are a separate part. I’m honestly not sure which is scientifically correct
Yup. When he started showing Gone and Gone 2, i was convinced he wasn't just missing legs but also his pelvis and a good bit of organs. So yeah it looked to me he didnt even have parts of his intestines and i did wonder: how do you even take up nutrients, how do you pass stool, do you even make stool? Maybe its because his pecs and shoulders are so wide?
It’s disgusting that people would think it’s appropriate to approach someone and ask them personal questions in public 🙄. I’m so sorry he had to go threw that
Actually, as a former surgical nurse, I was more curious about your hips. I can totally see how the rest of you that people are inordinately curious about, are complete and functional - I wonder about your operation and how much (if any) of the upper leg or socket was kept intact, or if you're literally sitting on your pelvis. Please ignore if this is too personal. You are a genuinely lovely, open person, and I'm sure when kids ask questions, you're - excuse the pun - completely straight with them.
I wondered the same after the algorithm fed me this video and I thought "what a great dude". And then I watched a couple of other vids and the swimming video answered the torso length/ hip questions.
Yes! I thought it was lower torso too, so that is why I was curious. Thank you so much for clearing the question up for us. Now, I too am wondering if they left upper bone in your legs. You are very brave and we are definitely not meaning any disrespect. I have a lot of respect for you! Thanks again.
i'm disabled. i have osteogenesis imperfecta. i'm REALLY glad you added that point at the end, because the number of times i've had complete strangers come up to me randomly at the bus stop or on the street or in bars and ask me completely inappropriate, disrespectful, and rude questions is just insane. if you see me at the bus stop with headphones on, or you see me engaged in a conversation with a friend at a bar, for the love of god please do not interrupt me or make me take my headphones off to say something like "what's wrong with you" or "are you a midget or a dwarf" or "does your dick work?". yes, i have had strangers in bars interrupt me to ask me about my penis. don't do that.
Wow, I’m so sorry some people are insensitive and/or unable to word things in a more sincere way about their curiosity. I have POTS and work with a service dog so I understand this situation all too well
I've probably been rude in a form, I went to a haunted house attraction, and I was staring intensely at a guy who was carrying another guy around, the man carrying the one guy around sets him on a table, and the dude looked like the guy in this video. ( These weren't people apart of the haunted house, just visitors like me. ) But I couldn't stop glancing at the guy, I never approached him. But I was dying to ask how it happened.
@@ChonkyCats staring is pretty shitty. it would have been far more polite to just walk up and say something like "hey, i'm terribly sorry if i'm bothering you, but i'm really curious about your disability, do you mind talking about it?" rather than just creepily staring from afar. i can't speak for every disabled person, but i can always feel someone staring at me and it doesn't feel good. i'd much prefer talking about it as long as the person approaching me isn't an asshole. but i'm a dirty punk rock weirdo on top of being smol and disabled, so i guess i'm extra unapproachable tbh. which is ironic because i'm pretty gregarious lmao.
@@Zvox it was nighttime at a haunted house, the guy probably would have been extra edgy if someone came up to talk to him. I imagine him saying something like "What you think I'm apart of the attraction? Buzz off before I beat you silly with my ripped arms"
WHY IS NONE OF THE TOP COMMENTS how confident and respectful and etc etc etc he made this video! Like the enthusiasm to share his answers ahhh I just was not expecting how much I loved this guys attitude!
His "social contract" point is important. It's natural for people to be curious, since his body is atypical, and I'm sure most are sincere and do not have bad motivations by asking.
Having an "atypical body" myself, I have had people, ADULTS, come up and touch me like they aren't sure I'm real. What is it about a disability that makes people think you are public property! I have no problem with people asking when they treat me like I'm human. And children are fun - I have no problem with children asking what happened to my legs or hands. It's an opportunity to show them I'm a person like they are - just different. I also think it might make them see how fortunate they are to have a healthy body. It's the reactions of the parents when children talk to me in stores that is sometimes sad. I love standing in a line and saying to a 5 year old with a big smile, "Oh, I love your shoes! I want some like that!" Their reactions are adorable.
The social contract for YT is implied because he voluntarily uploaded the video. If you go out and about with an exceedingly abnormal appearance, people are going to think it's strange, and rightfully so. They will wonder.
It’s more than being offended, though. Yes, it’s great he is open, but disabled people shouldn’t be expected to answer all these invasive questions whenever an abled person demands. Disabled people are commonly dehumanized by these questions, bc you don’t normally ask other able-bodied people those questions. I hope you don’t judge disabled people for being “offended” by these questions.
@@marchforth3515 What...? Of course you wouldn't ask non-disabled people that question, since they themselves know how to go to the background. And no one "demands" them to answer, they're not dogs. It's just curiosity innocently asking away. And why would they be offended? They weren't insulted or seen as less. If anything, if they were to get offended, then that's bad on them
Your openness and humor is a blessing to everyone who has questions and curiosity. It also gives many folks the opportunity to meet someone with a disability who never have and to help those folks see the others out in the world as a PERSON instead of the disability
I can understand the curiosity. When he sits the way his body (for lack of a better word) “collapses” seems like he is missing everything from the waist down. It doesn’t appear there are hips or anything. It makes his torso seem so small.
Yes, that's what I was thinking. I thought he was similar to another man named Loren, who has a YT channel called, Loren and Sabia (or maybe it was vice versa?). Edit: it's Sabia and Loren.
@@sharity3289 i don't think that Loren is the same. I mean he wasn't like that when he was born, he had a car accident that lead to his current situation.

As a person with a disability, I appreciate that you spoke about how to properly ask about a person's disability and that although it is true that we are mostly all willing to answer questions there is a time and place. I also always enjoy your videos! You are awesome!! 😄
As a trans man I had people randomly (and with obvious intent) ask me if I pee standing up. I usually answer that (sorry, English... hope it still makes sense) "No, I grab on to a hook that I've installed above the toilet, with one hand, open my pants with the other and am reeeally careful to hit the target, before I lose my grip." And I'm pretty good at saying that in an almost convincing way. In other words: Yes! Time, place and circumstances are absolutely key for certain questions.
Yeah, I wouldn’t randomly ask a question like that. That said, I dunno if this makes any sense but it is interesting to learn more about the solutions people come up with for the logistics problems a condition can present. People are very innovative. And in some cases those solutions may well have greater benefits and use cases than originally envisioned. (For a simple and far more appropriate thing to discuss, curb cuts benefit wheelchair users but also turn out to be useful for other reasons too.)
When he showed the “diagram” I almost fell off my chair….it was so forthcoming and honest! And he’s absolutely correct in some people being so rude in their approach….and he has the right to respond any way he chooses. Good for him!

Also I was taught not to judge or treat disabled people as different. I also was a carer so came across many disabled people. Some disabilities are visible, others not. I don’t know how this video came up but much respect to you.
Dude, you’re beautiful in every way possible. I’m surprised people were asking these questions. I want to apologize for them, but you don’t seem to have a problem with them, so I won’t either. Keep putting positivity out here and teach the children, cuz you’re really good at it.❤❤❤
That makes perfect sense. When you're on UA-cam, you're there to educate people about your disability. When you're out in the world, you're there to buy groceries, or run errands, or meet up with friends, or whatever you're doing that day, and you want to be able to do it without being interrupted, just like anyone else.
If you move past the tragedy, you realize the ability humans have to live with only half of what they were given and still be alive and themselves is just amazingly inspiring.

i kind of would like if he just showed us where his belly button is so that i can make sense of the proportions. like fully clothed just put a finger where the belly button is
I think it's because he's "laying" on his belly area, but because he's got a shirt covering him, it looks like he's just balancing on his rib cage area.
Due to his condition (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caudal_regression_syndrome), his spine didn’t develop properly. It’s possible that he’s missing some vertebrae and ribs, which would shorten his torso.

Yeah I think that's what everyone thought. It looks like ends where his belly button is
What ?
My God this man is strong. The way he dealt with society’s idiots is awesome.
Its not really peoples fault for thinking he doesnt have everything below a belly button, his shirt typically makes him look like he doesnt have anything, so they arent idiots. Just curious lol

Yess. This is my thought as well. As in I believe he doesn't have any "junk" cause of where his body ends
Yeah, I wrongly assumed he didn’t have a pelvis. This explains so much.
It made sense, but I'm still wondering if resting upright (standing) puts pressure on his genitals at all since they would be the lowest point on his body.
Yea the optical illusion makes it look like its photoshopped mid stomach when theres no 'pants'

I absolutely love your attitude and how you've adapted to your new normal.
Absolutely; I can say that without a shadow of a doubt.

ikr? absolutely rude :(
2 years ago, during Passover, I took my fam to Lancaster County, where we went on an authentic Amish buggy tour. Since it was Passover, most everybody there was Jewish. One fellow asked our buggy driver, "If we were to knock on an Amish family's door and ask to see an authentic Amish home, would they let us in?" I thought (but was not ridiculous enough to say aloud), "If some random stranger knocked on your door asking to see an authentic Jewish home, would you let him in?"
Like our vlogger here, I would be fine if someone just came over and asked for something to drink or perhaps a snack and then, while munching away, said that s/he'd always been curious about the dynamics of Jewish families, but don't expect that somebody of a different culture will ever open up their own home as your personal museum tour.

His "social contract" point is important. It's natural for people to be curious, since his body is atypical, and I'm sure most are sincere and do not have bad motivations by asking.
Thats why its a great video. Because people might be sincere
No. I think he meant the social contract of youtube. Not of life. It's not appropriate to ask a stranger about their disability.
The social contract for YT is implied because he voluntarily uploaded the video. If you go out and about with an exceedingly abnormal appearance, people are going to think it's strange, and rightfully so. They will wonder.
What a great person to be able to talk candidly about his body and not be offended by people’s curiosity.
If anything, if they were to get offended, then that's bad on them
I don’t personally care about this topic. All I can say is you are a lovely, bubbly person. That I enjoyed. 😀🇦🇺
I absolutely agree.
I couldn’t agree more! ❤
"Where are my legs."
That makes it sound like people think you like pop them off and store them in a cupboard somewhere
Well some people pop off their legs before bed so there's that
“WHERE ARE THE LEGS, SPENCER? I KNOW YOU HAVE THEM!”
Some people do
XD
Yeah, that's why people think that he doesn't have that private parts
Waist down, hell. It legit looks like his whole body ends just below his ribs.
@@sharity3289 i don't think that Loren is the same. I mean he wasn't like that when he was born, he had a car accident that lead to his current situation.
It's amazing and how much of our vertical selves is legs and feet
I truly mean this with all the respect and lightheartedness in the world, you remind me of Geodude. Good on you for handling people’s *invasive* questions with such grace!
The way he looked back at the camera after saying “the tip wasn’t as big as I thought it would be” was priceless.
😂😂😂 yes, I thought so too
That little giggle too 😂
Right!
Listen. I was wheezing😭😭😭😭
The look too. Definitely priceless. First time watching his videos and I adore him.
He is very clever about setting boundaries, I think he's a great educator.

I often wondered about this ty for education..looks like cut off from waist so people get confused...your witty response saves the question 😊
I usually answer that (sorry, English... hope it still makes sense) "No, I grab on to a hook that I've installed above the toilet, with one hand, open my pants with the other and am reeeally careful to hit the target, before I lose my grip."
And I'm pretty good at saying that in an almost convincing way.
The way he has to state what should be obvious (at the end) and does it with so much patience and kindness!!! I could never. What an amazing person
This was such a kind video to address what can be a rather rude or disrespectful question to be asked. You seem like a very gracious man.
When he showed the “diagram” I almost fell off my chair….it was so forthcoming and honest! And he’s absolutely correct in some people being so rude in their approach….and he has the right to respond any way he chooses. Good for him!
"I'm not about to start an only fans account." This guy is just too good.

It is not the lack of your legs, sir, that catches my attention, but how articulate and funny you are. THAT caught my attention. 8-)
I love the idea of saying, “just ask” so that people can learn, while still having boundaries. This is hard to do graciously, but you do it with aplomb!
Kudos for using the word "aplomb"! That word isn't used enough. Nice to see it out and about! 😊

Thank you for so graciously explaining how questions from the abled people sometimes appear. I have an invisible disability and often get intrusive questions about my service dog. I don't handle them as well as you do. Thanks for your example.
it's honestly so hard to. and i love that he can be this gracious, however i hope the commenters also know (they don't) that we aren't on this earth as a lesson, aaand our proximity to the virtue of patience is often really limited bc of how many ppl prioritize their curiosity about our personal lives over basic privacy (i'm not out here asking if YOU really need your pet or what happened to you, beth, so please leave me be). sigh. i hope you're having a good day when you see this.
and for anyone wondering... there are def ppl like spencer who have answered sooooooooo many questions like this, for a wide range of disabilities, so it's worth googling before you walk up to that person and ask them while they're just out doing their thing
I'ma be real - I think this pretty much answered any and all questions I may have had in the past about this kind of disability. Cheers mate.
he seems like such a kind & genuine person and deserves all the happiness in the world. 🤍

I don’t know how I ended up here with a man explaining how he poops, using fruit and a Swifter sweeper handle, but I’m here for it.
Lol me too
I’ve grown up with disabled people. You don’t owe anyone an explanation. It’s none of their business. Much respect to you for answering the questions.
Well said emily.
If you move past the tragedy, you realize the ability humans have to live with only half of what they were given and still be alive and themselves is just amazingly inspiring.
الحمد لله what a grateful heart you have.
Well, I mean, our mind is like, 80% of our existence. The heart and lungs are the next important. Then maybe enough of a GI system to process nutrients... Reproduction is unnecessary... 🤷🏼♀️
@@JanaeSmith read that last sentence again.
Edit: and also without reproductive organs all of the contents of our digestive system would get stuck, and eventually we would literally burst.
As far as brains go,some people can't function on a whole one.
While I know this is a very intrusive topic, thank you for sharing it! I don't believe the curiosity involved is meant to be rude, people just naturally want to understand when something is different. Again THANK YOU for not only understanding and sharing but doing so with great humor!
you just admitted that you are one of those kinds of people, do you approach black people and ask them which basketball team they play for? or ask big people how much they weigh?
@@tonysteel9502 Not what they meant. They're talking about when people have physical impairments or disabilities that make them do things differently.
@@tonysteel9502 I just don't watch basketball or hang out in those neighborhoods. There is enough evil going on in there, I don't want to be accused by the cops for being in the wrong neighborhood, I've watched enough episodes of COPS they do it all the time.
I've had some good friends who have been black, do I want to live the lifestyle they were brought up in, no. I also have first hand knowledge they will cry racist or otherwise for a well qualified statement.. being, "it smells like someone passed through here recently has had a severe burn, I smell burnt flesh and personally experienced being burnt" for God sakes, when called upstairs, I asked permission to take off my shirt, I showed the scars, and said you can tell the person who complained to listen to the two sentences completely and go about their own business and not stir fabricated complaints, because of their ineptitude. There was only racism from their mouth. This is why people in the military burn put before retirement kicking in, my cousin left as a officer 1.5 years early due to all the BS going on, he couldn't handle it. I'm about 10 years older than him, I got out in the 80s, in our small office of say a dozen people 2 officers and two enlisted did not continue their military careers, the officers retired, the enlisted went home I suppose.

I don't know why I was recommended this, but the only reason I would be confused is that your torso doesn't look long enough to include the pelvis.
same-
Right? Like where?
i kind of would like if he just showed us where his belly button is so that i can make sense of the proportions. like fully clothed just put a finger where the belly button is
I think it's because he's "laying" on his belly area, but because he's got a shirt covering him, it looks like he's just balancing on his rib cage area.
Due to his condition (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caudal_regression_syndrome), his spine didn’t develop properly. It’s possible that he’s missing some vertebrae and ribs, which would shorten his torso.
I wish more people were this open about difference. Easier said than done. I really appreciate you giving opportunity to educate everybody.
This man is such a ray of sunshine! His humor is on point! I’m glad I watched this video not just for the education on the how/why of his body and bathroom logistics, but also to experience his jovial nature!
His sense of humor is hilarious. “Legally it’s just not possible for me to show you.” 💀💀💀
Funny but also true
I’m an amputee and I appreciate the ground rules/ boundaries you mentioned. I usually say no when people ask. I’ve been explained this since I was a kid. I’m just tired lol.
True we all should have respectable boundaries...an understanding of what NOT to do and maybe... Just maybe, if I feel like it, I'll say why.
I've got my own disabilities, though not an amputee. If practical strangers ask about it, I spin them some magical, bullsh1t and see how far I can go.
Its great, they don't want to question you and be offensive so they end up looking like jerks.
Yeah, I figured as most people are concern, but people say its rude though concern can be for consideration. I realize if 10 people ask a day... it gets annoying and when people need to know then they'll know.
I'm not an amputee but I wear a prosthesis (rotationplasty) and when kids ask, I tell them I didn't eat all my vegetables.
