Something I've always found funny about Jen's comment about how people say she pauses too much... I don't like the strict "reaction" videos... I love you, Peter, Jen, Elizabeth, et al that do actual breakdowns and analysis... sharing your expertise and knowledge with the masses. Don't stop, either of you! Grats on 100k to both of you!
What a fascinating and informative interview! And I even enjoyed the food talk. (And, Jen, I know ~exactly~ what Home Free video had someone -gasp- break the spaghetti noodles in two!) Peter, you do a great job interviewing people. Thanks y'all!
Love these chats with different people as their stories are so interesting about how they started out to where they are now. Keep them coming Peter. x Dorothy ( Grandma 77yrs North East England )
This is so cool....my two favorite reactor/analyzers on youtube, in the same video. Thank you Peter for another great interview. Thank you Jen for sharing more of you.....now I respect both of you even more. I love the educational, informational...yet humorous videos that you do. You are such a sweetheart Jen...please keep doing what you do, they way you do it...and I definitely don't mind your pausing cause you generally point out things I missed the first several times watching something. Thank you Peter for doing what you do as well. I truly enjoy your reactions...
Wow my two favourite reactors. Don't you just love Jen's voice and accent. She is so entertaining with so many facial expressions. Tell your buddy Tim Foust that Home Free should do an album of reactor collaborations. Where Jenn sings a song with them and then you and then Mortius etcetera. Cheers
Peter, thank you for taking the time to chat with Jennifer, my favorite UA-cam content creator. That was very illuminating, actually of both of you! Hard for you to discuss topics with Jen without revealing a bit about yourself as well. I wanted to particularly appreciate the extra mile you went providing timestamps for each of the topic areas *and* even chapter links into the video! Truly above and beyond! And an outstanding video chatting with Jennifer. Thank you! 😊
Congrats to you both on 100k. Regarding wedding bands, as a trombonist I've gotten to perform at only 3 weddings, one was a friend who wanted a brass quintet to play Beatles songs ala "Canadian Brass" as the audience was entering, the wedding party walking down the aisle, and the recession, followed by my big band playing for the first half of the reception, with the husband's David Bowie cover band playing the 2nd half until midnight. Personally, I had a bagpiper for my wedding ceremony but a DJ for the reception, mostly because I didn't know any bands who could play more than one genre or who were willing to learn new songs for the first dance, and being a musician with a wedding that was 50% musicians, I didn't want to hire some random band only to end up with everyone disappointed. Luckily, our DJ came highly recommended and was an amazing guy who really worked the crowd. I've been to weddings with "the DJ who just plays music." Waste of money! I have a couple of friends who have done cruise gigs, one with a jazz band, the other as a soloist. They both had a ton of fun, good food, meeting new people, traveling, and a way to grow your fan base. Jen could always continue with UA-cam (perhaps only one video a week, don't overwork yourself) and react to bands from the areas she's visiting. Just an idea, should she ever pursue that.
I went to the wedding of a drummer once, regular live band to start open mic once everybody was lubricated, lots of musicians in that crowd too. But in the early hours when it was the hired 5 piece every so often the groom would twitch. face the stage and aggressively clap the beat at the band. Drs are bad patients and some musicians are terrible audiences lol
Jen seems to be very approachable and a truly nice person. I know her through her UA-cam reaction/analysis videos and it’s wonderful to find that my original impression was correct. Nice people rule! 👍🏻❤️
Thanks! Peter! This was a fun and amazing interview! You two have so much chemistry! Thank you so much for asking my question! I knew it was going to be a tough one because there are so many great songs out there, but I really loved her answer! Thanks, again, for doing these interviews! I really enjoy them!
First of all, I love these interviews. I’m subscribed to Jenn’s channel as well, so I really enjoyed this interview. I loved your collaboration with her a few months ago. Thank you!!
Great interview Peter. Actually it felt like a comfortable conversation with insights from both of you. I really enjoyed this even though I may have put off things I needed to be doing to watch/listen to it. 😁 I love the addition of these interviews to your channel. Great job on your part too, Jen. ❤️
I just want both of you to know that I've enjoyed your reaction/analysis for the 21 months since I discovered Geoff's Monster Mash, my first song I'd heard on UA-cam, went looking for VoicePlay, then discovered Peter and not much further along I found Jen. You both have made me happy. Mostly I watch Geoff and VoicePlay since time is precious and most of the time I'm gardening getting in about 600 daylilies, 300 daylily seeds, 70 irises, 60 hostas, citrus trees, etc. Will be building my house before too long. But when I see your names come up, I'd like to be there. Jen - I enjoyed your singing and performing with Ian and the one with Peter too. Peter I did watch your Nessun Dorma by Home Free, and truly enjoyed your commentary. Also loved your R&A for Dragonborn Comes.
One thing I got from this video is that singers are PEOPLE first! As much as we look for the understanding and improvement of vocal quality and technique, getting to appreciate the person who is also the instrument is most valuable.
As a fellow Jennifer, I really enjoy Jen's channel and analysis videos! Thanks, Peter, for interviewing her! You both are such sweet, talented people and I enjoy watching both of you! ❤🙏
This is awesome, two of my favorite reactor/ teachers. I've learned so much about vocals from your videos. Ps been a tubaist for over 45 years years in all types of genres and have applied what I've learned in performances. Thank you both for your time and knowledge, It's greatly appreciated.
Funny how the section chatting about the comments sets me off on the negative commenters. HELLO? This is the content creators channel! Start your own channel if you have something to say that isn't positive or constructive criticism. Or here's another option: DON'T WATCH! Clearly, the channel isn't for you. These ARE reaction channels and the creators are teaching us to be better listeners, more appreciative of music, and more knowledgeable listeners. I cannot sing a lick and love music...the few content creators that react to music videos I watch/listen to have really enhanced my experience of music. The content creators that don't resonate, I give them a few views and then head off without comment. I do NOT understand the desire to take a personal reaction personally or knock back on the creator in a negative manner... I watch both your channels and it was a treat to listen to the easy to and fro of the conversation. So enjoyable and enjoyed! 💜
Nice one. Yeah had a similar thing writing songs. Awesome when have them in your head and find a friend or two that can pick up the music by ear. Such a relief to get it out into the world.
Hi Jan glad to see you back with your buddy over there. He’s an opera singer by the way and you’re a great singer by the way I love your reactions you don’t Angelina Jordan so many times I thought you lived with
I really enjoyed listening to this interview. I found it very interesting and learned a lot about you and your guest Jennifer Glatzhofer. I actually heard in the interview with him and the Charismatic Voice, he was saying that he had a legion on one of his vocal chords and was on some drugs that was trying to lower the swelling. This comment was in reference to the live version of the Sound of Silence cover Disturbed did on Conan.
While working stage production in music and Mike has around music all the time from mirrors, I understand music a lot of wonderful vocal teacher of her out that work with I didn’t say production. We actually got a new queen the original playing well I’m on joy yourself with Jan she’s a great person.
Good fun, amazing the two of you haven't talked before. Personally the best food I found when visiting London was Camden Market food court... which to me is not normally the sort of place you'd find good food, but there was a Mac and Cheese stall there that I still dream longingly about.
Would you consider covering/interviewing any beatboxers from the competitive beatbox scene? There’s some really cool vocal techniques being used there and recently including a lot of interesting extended singing techniques not just vocal percussion. Would love to see more interaction between the acapella and competitive beatbox world.
If you have Jen's email or other way to contact her, she is going to need some help. Her channel is highjacked and content deleted. I've reperted it to YT, but they tend to ignore the viewers and the creators have a row to hoe to get them to get things back under control. I've seen this before with other channels, and one lost everything.
I no longer have the strength or energy to sing as I used to but I wish I could. I miss it so much. I share a few small songs on fb and get a few nice comments. Thankfully no one has said anything nasty - yet. :) I don't have a following as you two do, but when people have knocked me for something I've done then, unless it's a valid and fair criticism (which it usually isn't) I just reply with "well, you're welcome to your opinion :) " and leave it at that.. Haters gonna hate, as they say. I watched what purported to be a reaction video to VoicePlay - or it might have been Geoff - and was appalled by the hateful comments, mainly from live viewers. Turned out they were Home Free fans, but they were really being nasty , saying how they hate Geoff. I mean, why? You can't like both? I have to admit though the reactor involved was encouragintg it and laughing.
Thank you for having me!! Was a lot of fun FINALLY chatting properly 😁 I hope you enjoyed your Pad Thai 😋
No one can say anything against the Jen's voice! I've watched your covers soooo many times each, I feel like you're already a worldwide pop celebrity.
We love Jen!!!
how could it be otherwise? She's delightful! :)
