She can keep the wolf turn but just do the double, not triple. Wolf turn is still very valuable, especially when she also relies on dance elements to build difficulty.
@@cocoroni1031 But she didn't even get the double here. It's way too inconsistent. She could probably get a Memmel ready for Worlds. But honestly I don't know why more gymnasts don't go for the Semenova turn.
@@goodyougetastar She even attempted a triple yesterday, so I believe she can do double consistently with just more practice. Doing a Memmel or Semenova turn is way more risky and likely to be downgraded to B. Even Urazova had her Memmel devalued before.
@@cocoroni1031 fair. I just feel like a semenova is the easiest to hit out of those three, esp if shes having trouble doing the wolf turn when it counts. Or maybe shes messing herself up by stressing over the triple and she should just strictly train the double until Worlds? Might be the most realistic option
@@goodyougetastar The best option is to perfect the double wolf. Don't try Memmel unless it's really competition ready. The D score on floor is fluctuating this quad because of the more devaluations on dance elements.
Operation teach Shilese a Memmel before worlds. Right now she looks the weakest beam and floor option and her second vault is also not as good as Jade/Jordan/Leanne, but I really want to see her in AA and I think she can improve that floor score further.
Doing a Memmel turn is still a risky option (more risky than wolf turn, less than double-L). She just looks quite tired in the end. Even her choreography after the wolf turn is not as good as that a month ago.
@@hellotoeveryone8045 i wouldn't say she's weak on floor either, she's pretty strong actually. but Jade is the Olympic champ and Leanne is the world medalist with an upgraded routine this year. Jordan just got the highest international floor score this year (14+, like Jade and Leanne last year) so that has to put her in front of Shilese as well. Shilese is stronger than Konnor on floor, but that doesn't really help her case to do AA since Konnor as national champ is basically a lock for AA anyways and they aren't going to sit her on floor. Likewise Leanne is the co-national champ on bars but there's definitely a possibility now that she doesn't compete bars. Shilese (for EF) and Konnor (for AA) will definitely go on bars but if they put Jade and Jordan in the AA instead of Shilese which is possible now, that limits Leanne to VT/BB/FX at most. The whole team lineup is so difficult to predict right now. The only clear spots are Jade+Jordan on VT/FX, Shilese on UB, and Konnor on BB.
@@Plaspos i can agree with you. i mean she only scored 14+ on nationals, and her best score was today internationally. they need to think who they will chose between her and leanne for floor in team finals, both of them are strong we just will see who they will choose. for aa is unpredictable actually, bc with jade’s score on beam today put her up to an world AA podium i think. About konnor i really don’t think she will score well on bars, just bc i felt like her nationals scores on it were to overscored so we will have to see. jordan/ jones idk bc jones isn’t that consistent on beam and jordan not have good scores on bars internationally soo yha, it will be interesting to see who they will chose!
@@Plaspos we don’t know how healthy Leanne will be to do floor for one. I would say shilese is solidly the third best floor worker. Her composition just sucks right now.
I feel like Shilese would benefit from some college experience...to help clean up the little details. That’s what happened to Jordan and she looks flawless now.

Everyone is obsessed about the wolf turn. 🤣🤣 Tbh you can clearly see when the Romanians are no longer in charger or the national team. They would load up on difficult tumbling and do the bare minimum dance elements. This always worked for team USA, they should go back to it.
I dont like that they gave 3 events to Jones and only 2 to Jade. They did that non sense at the Olympics and she was the one that pulled through. Jade should have had floor and Jones only bars and beam. That is not right
Its a smart thing jade is known for her VT and FX so they want to see her in beam she scored low 12 in Tokyo . With jones she don’t have any international experience so they want to see the way she will score and as you see 2 skill was not credited in jones FX in Q not sure about final . And for Chiles she didn’t do will at Tokyo at all even though she was solid all year ( she was amazing today ). So it’s not about winning for USA it’s about learning
World Cup is a small competition relative to Worlds, everyone knows what Jade’s strengths are, but Shilese is quite new to the international scene and Jordan also has to redeem herself from Tokyo. It’s not a huge deal for this competition
I think it's a justifiable decision because the team USA needs to figure out which dance elements to be used for Shilese at worlds. Also good way for Jordan to test the new floor with different passes.
@@heatherwicker9990 I think after Tokyo she just want to make a statement to everyone that she is not done yet . I think putting a wolf turn on the end is not a good option since she's already exhausted ... maybe should've put it in the beginning

Tumbling plus dance and grace, a good combination
Uhm no

Such long lines!!!
Her D score is 5.4. Besides the wolf turn, which dance element do the judges devalue?
maybe double L turn
@@Jackshipley2008 I think her double-L was credited. Otherwise it's a 5.3D FX.
It might have been the straddle 1/1? She didn't quite square it off and I don't see what else could've been devalued.
Wasn’t she only attempting a 5.6 here since she did a switch 1/2 instead of trying the switch full?
