I really appreciate all the effort you've been putting into these. You're releasing them so rapidly but at the same quality as all of your other content, mad props on that.
I'm all about bringing back devouring plague and shadow orbs. I really enjoyed shadow back then. I'm maining disc for BfA so having a fun dps offspec would be ideal, but as it stands I'm just planning on leveling my warlock shortly after my priest
I kinda want the Devouring Plague playstyle back for shadow. Maybe keep the insanity on S2M and make it so you start the CD at 100 insanity and when it's gone go back to DP.
I’m glad I’m not the only one pissed at the spriest changes -_- I could just be a stubborn bastard who doesn’t like change, but I had sooooo much fun with spriest. I was good at it and it was soooooo fun. I’m glad I’m not the only one.
Bellular the Void Lord Boss confirmed, he knows every class pros and cons, we all are doomed! Even Nixxiom's fucking Malfurion can't save the world....
I like Preach's suggestion of the removal of void form baseline as part of the spec and merging it with surrender to madness as a CD. It's IMPOSSIBLE to balance the satisfaction/fun and damage of a spec that does all of its damage in a small time window
I'm glad you got Icy Veins as sponsor. I'm so tired of all the Squarespace plugs on youtube. I usually skip plugs but this has been a good change. Ads that follow the theme of the YT-channel is much more acceptable than the big plug companies pushing all over.
Imo, they eithor need to redesign shadow and do away with Voidform or return it to what it was. The sheer playstyle of ramping into a super Saiyan each fight presents problems. Trying to compromise just puts you in a weird place where you aren't clear on what you're trying to do when piloting the spec. Get rid of Voidform or double down on there being 2 parts to the battle and embrace the flaws. Part 1 being generating Insanity with low damage and Part 2 being crazy damage
Really enjoy your videos Bellular. Any chance of getting an export of your ElvUI setup? From all of us I would also like to say thank you for creating a great series of videos that are helping us pick our mains for BfA.
My only problem with Mind Bender is that it doesn't work with any of the glyphs for Shadowfiend. So my Voidling glyph won't work if I choose Mind Bender, which kind of sucks.
As a holy priest main I actually liked losing the artifact ability because I'm a very forgetful person and I always forgot to apply it to people while I was using my other heals
Pack Mentality Media to be honest there was that much power put into the artifact this was always going to happen. I think the game in general has slowed down once the xpac starts rolling I think it'll be ok it's just that were used to the artifact now.
For all you Disc priests, does Rapture apply to shields already on your party or only to new shields? That is, do you Rapture and then spam shields around, or do you spam shields and then Rapture. No guide I've found clearly lays this out. Also, after Rapture wears off do all shields go back to normal? For example, I Rapture then cast a PW:S over the 10 seconds, the shield absorbs 150% of its normal absorb. So after the 10 seconds are up is the shield gone or do I get 5 more seconds of a lower shield?
I have never tried a healing spec before and I'm glad I did. Currently maining discipline. Disc is THE best entry spec for healing, since you have to constantly keep dpsing as well as the atonment buff on rest of the party and it's been a blast. Holy is the "generic" healer, but when you start digging the healing role and u give holy a shot you're blown away by their versatility, very fun spec indeed. Shadow is also nice to have since I enjoy applying dots pressuring the enemy team in BG's or doing massive amounts of dps in PVE, where the SPriest is good in both st & aoe situations. Forgot they had mind control, and let me tell you, its very satisfying to MC a healer and then run him off the cliff to his death :>
I have been playing spriest since I started playing WoW 2 years ago. I enjoyed it a lot in Legion, and it makes me sad how changed my main spec, but I'll still play it
I tried Shadow on the Beta and thought it was horrible. But then the pre-patch came around and I am oddly ok with the changes. I tried to lower my haste by removing some items to simulate an early expansion environment and it wasn't that bad. The removal of Shadow Word Death as a baseline spell hurts, but at least they changed Void Bolt back to adding 3 seconds to active dots. That helps a lot - it was only 2 seconds on beta. As a whole I am almost happy with the changes. Yes, the feeling of getting the perfect Void Form to 80 stacks or so is gone, but I am happy to trade that for Mythic+ viability. But I have hope for the upcoming changes in 8.1. I am rolling with a Priest for BfA. Mainly because of Discipline, but Shadow is an option. Edit: As with all specs, it just feels slower and worse than it did in Legion. But if you take it at face value, conveniently forgetting that Legion happened, it would be quite an enjoyable spec. It is the comparison that makes it feel sluggish and not as good.
Something about disc priest stresses me out. Its super unique but i just think i prefer a more traditonal playstyle. I don't want to have to divide my brain between healing and dps. I just wanna do one or the other. Holy it tis'. Great video!
I like the feel of shadow, contrary to many. I feel it's more about the mastery of shifting between the madness of the void and sanity. Is it a bit slow? Yes, but I do appreciate the spec more. I think that if they made void torrent baseline or shifted SW:D back it would feel better having more buttons to press.
The way to fix Shadow Priest is bring back Vampiric Embrace as a normal dot you apply on every mob. Get rid of Shadow Form and just have it be Void form. Bring the damage in line so that the damage is now even instead of low and high intervals. Unholy DK has the same problem and it would play better if it's damage was even instead of incredibly uneven. The purpose of AotD is not damage but survival. IE the thing you throw up when you're about to die to try to eek out a win.
Honestly I never found T’uure to be all that useful when healing, I genuinely love where Holy is at right now and hope to see more Holy Priests in raid content. As for disc, while it’s definitely not bad in the least, I’ve found it considerably more boring to play especially with the removal of Lights Wrath, but absorbs will always be valuable in high mythic+ and raid content, it’s just not nearly as fun to play at the moment, (just my opinion). But here’s hoping Holy keeps improving as BfA progresses, it’s a lot of fun to play and it’s been awhile since Holy Priests were a mainstay healer in high raid and mythic+, maybe BfA marks a return for them. Great video as usual, take care of yourself!
i recently made a priest today actually and i love shadow thats actually the only reason i made one after playing affliction warlock and its a whole lot better like priest and maybe ill try healing as one as well
I never wanted my play style to be dictated by a cd (in this case, void form and surrender to madness). I played legion beta and never bought the xpac. That was not my shadow priest. I'm looking forward to seeing what 8.1 brings.
I have already decided to main a priest in BfA. The changes to shadow make it feel faster and less punishing in my opinion (not a common or popular one I know). granted i am currently only still leveling the class, but so far shadow feels like it has a nice loop, and is easier for me to understand (i have a 110 priest on another realm, i tried to learn shadow on him in legion but the ramp up time made world content very difficult). I know that i am a minority with actually liking the changes to shadow, and i hope they can only improve it more in 8.1.
I think they are moving in the right direction with Spriest. Making void form less of a thing is good. But they still need some tweaks. I think they should make void form a offensive cooldown and just give some other tools back to their baseline like SW:D. Spriest is fun but the damage is not really there and void form seems clunky and not really fun.
I remember enjoying SPriest in Pandria, a little bit less in WoD. Legion Shadow made no sense to me never touched it at all, sad to see its gonna be the same in BFA, hopefully they finish their rework by 8.1
can anybody help me with this ui interface? i wanna see frindly players with blizzard ui and enemy with bellular addon.. which kind of addons is this one and how do i set this?
Discipline has Smite, Pain, Penance and Nova (without talents). Its got no reset procs, no stacking anything and its one actual proc is an uninteractive damage buff. Holy has Smite, Holy Fire, Holy Nova and Chastise. Fire gives you a stacking DoT to play with and Smite reduces the cooldown of Chastise and can reset the cooldown on Fire. I'm not ragging on Discipline as a spec, its a brilliant idea. It just feels like its DPS side needs real development.
Due to state of shadow, re-rolling to druid for now. Love the healing priest specs, way more than druid even, but I main rdps and boomkin >>> spriest right now just on pure feel.
Doing the same going frost mage, BFA will not have many spriests since blizzard dosnt seem to give a fuck! I mean wait until 8.1 wtf is that? Demo locks have been broken since the release of Legion and isnt fixed until now?!? Who says same shit wont happen to us?
NazarusGG dude they haven’t given a shit since WoD, which breaks my heart because I’ve truly loved shadow and have stuck with it up until this expansion. I hate having to go the “safe” route because I know that blizzard won’t give a shit.
The only reason I want Shadow Orbs back is for the damn ravens. Sure, Voidform can be punishing when you screw up, but it was more interesting than orb management imo. As for Disc....it's really not that difficult.
It's interesting - everyone that makes videos or content keeps saying that Shadow is terrible, but my friend group of priest (mostly shadow) mains all love the changes? I suppose its because we don't have beta access and haven't played with the the new content? We'll see. I liked Legion shadow priest fine and enjoyed being high in the damage meters for my guild's raids but it was a lot slower (emphasis on slower but not impossible) to do other content until you out geared everything, comparing to my husband or other guild friends in other classes and specs. And doing old content.... well, I had to get a more comfortable wrist mat to help me out after Shadow Word Pain-ing everything in old dungeons and raids, finally just having to switch to Holy every time I wanted a transmog run.
I’m actually elated Legion SPriest is dead. The old SPriest mains weren’t asking for carpals tunnel inducing gameplay. We didn’t ask to be relevant only for 50% of our gameplay, across only 10% of content. That spec was literally only relevant for raids. Raid or bust spec. When the only dps spec of a class can only handle one type of content, getting locked out of 90% of the game, that is bad design. THAT BEING SAID! I ABSOLUTELY believe Blizzard should have the voidform rotation be a lvl 100 talent. That seems perfectly fair to have a raid only talent. I know there were a few SPriests who ADORED the mechanic. It was extremely flavorful. Those players absolutely deserve to have it back in some form. Just don’t force that physically painful gameplay on me. I DESPERATELY want my old school SPriest gameplay back in some form. I’m sorry Bellular. I appreciate your content on a great many topics, especially giving the class updates. I am in complete agreement on Blizzard’s poor writing for Sylvanas and the Horde. That all being said, here is where I must put my foot down. We can’t have our ONLY dps spec be denigrated to an inflexibly limited mini game.
What are you talking about... I played Spriest in high level keys all the time. I had no problem with it. I actually loved the old voidform mechanic in dungeons :)
Russell Crown what are High level keys in your opinion? 20+ as a spriest is not possible to pug, no one in their right mindset would invite a Spriest instead of a mage or a lock IF it is a clothie you want! Spriest dosnt even have decent survivability in its toolkit anymore! Dispersion is nerfed to a point where its 20% dmg reduction from being useless!!
By the end of Legion, Shadow was actually pretty good in all PvE content, except pure AoE where you couldn't cleave. I don't know what you consider "relevant", but the spec was in a nice spot overall and you could do 100% of the current content as a Shadow Priest without worrying too much, unless you were a hardcore player that thought only the best spec in each situation was "relevant". If your focus was clearing old raids or PvPing (I have no idea how shadow fared in PvP), maybe it kinda sucked, but those things are nowhere near "90% of the content". All that being said, I'm in for more diversity in playstyle and a Breath of Sindragosa-like talent for Voidform would be really fun. Unfortunately, right now, the spec is just not fun. I don't remember disliking Shadow since I started maining it, somewhere mid-WotLK, and it pains me to consider playing something else for BfA.
I personally think Shadow priest would be an easy fix level 100 Talent Rose should be devouring plague should be void form and should be Clarity of power that would allow the priests to decide which of the three main historical Shadow archetypes they would like to play balance the game then around that
You are really busy! As a rather new player I've been a little scared of playing a healing spec. But I kept dying with shadow so I changed to disc - and its great! Although I don't have any experience with group healing yet. Still switching to shadow for group content... ._.
Oddly enough I would say go practice in a battle ground. No matter what you do, people will rage, so just laugh at the angry old nerds and 12yos and move on with your day. The reason being is there isn’t much penalty if an ally dies to start with. They’ll die anyways, jump back into the fight, and it’ll be ok. You can practice here for a little while. The best part is, unlike other healers who are parasites depending upon DPS for survival, you as disc can fight back as well as anyone. So go practice in the play ground, get comfortable. Then go for the dungeons. Good luck friend, the spec is tricky, but you’ve got an insanely unique and delightfully powerful spec.
What was the point of the stat squish if we are hitting for millions by endgame alll over again? at least thats what i see in the video and he is definitely in Zandalar
Went from DK main since Wrath to newly Lightforged Draenei Priest for BfA Super excited. Holy and Disc look great! 8.1 Shadow Changes are needed, don't want to wait for that. Oh well. Can't win them all.
0:34 shadow
8:21 Holy
14:56 discipline
Sticky this one. :) Or add to description, please. :)
You are a genuinely great person.
Thank you!
Your the best
pro tip : you can watch movies on flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies recently.
This man does not slow down
dirtykhazixmain dude is on his grind
Shot, edited, rendered and uploaded within 3 hours after the last one, I swear!
It keeps us safe!
Making videos is the only thing that staves off *The Hunger.*
He must feed
I really appreciate all the effort you've been putting into these. You're releasing them so rapidly but at the same quality as all of your other content, mad props on that.
We need a day in the life of Bellular, you upload so much so often I wonder how you get it all done but still do other things other than recording.
I can barely find time to play, let alone all the other shit this guy does.
He has a team of people to do the editing and other things, most likely.
Agreed. I know it's a meme by this point, but I would love to know how the hell is he doing it.
One of the only channels I upvote before I even watch it. Quality content every time Bellular, great work!

every time you said "Void torrent" I heard "Void Tauren"
Warcrafter3001 New enemy faction when?
New allied race.
That sounds fun. xD
I heard that too!

Bellular... I just wanted to say...
Thanks for making videos :) I really just appreciate all your effort and hope you've had a great week so far!
Blizz needs to make Bellular npc in game, with a title "All Class Master Trainer" :D
Preach and Bay would have something to say about that :)
Dude that would actually be cool, like he can be the class trainer for all "Belular, The Jack of All Trade!"
SakalthorGaming He's the new raid boss. You thought. C'thun was difficult? Hah!
Bellular the Void Lord Boss confirmed, he knows every class pros and cons, we all are doomed! Even Nixxiom's fucking Malfurion can't save the world....
I applaud your work ethic, but I'm starting to worry about your health. Get some rest, man.
He's talking about a video game as he plays one. That isn't difficult
@@HanSoloxcs You clearly under estimate the work that goes into these videos.
Thank god for this flow of content...so many familys being saved
I like Preach's suggestion of the removal of void form baseline as part of the spec and merging it with surrender to madness as a CD. It's IMPOSSIBLE to balance the satisfaction/fun and damage of a spec that does all of its damage in a small time window
Nicolas2465 I agree. The spec needs to stop being balanced around voidform as it's central mechanic. Making it a talent is an interesting idea
How do you do it Belullar? So much good quality content getting put out so quickly. Mad respect man. Keep it up!
I just left a reply to someone on the paladin video regarding them waiting on the priest one lol yay priest!
That was me! lol imagine my shock when I looked in my subscription feed. Now I feel retarded.
I got the notification on my phone and chuckled, Bellular on point
I'm glad you got Icy Veins as sponsor. I'm so tired of all the Squarespace plugs on youtube. I usually skip plugs but this has been a good change. Ads that follow the theme of the YT-channel is much more acceptable than the big plug companies pushing all over.

Bloody hell. You're really cranking them out today. :o
DEVOURING PLAGUE NOW!
Disc priest is going to be awesome. Can't wait to level my priest.
Disc is a small group MONSTER, Holy will be very strong in raids (binding heal spam), and shadow will be.....
Just saw Bellular guides featured on the blizzard launcher! congrats man
My only problem with Mind Bender is that it doesn't work with any of the glyphs for Shadowfiend. So my Voidling glyph won't work if I choose Mind Bender, which kind of sucks.
Great video as always man. Keep it up
Been an Spriest Main since beginning of Wrath... I just want less clunky game play and Devouring Plague :)
Love this class review series, but would appreciate time tags in the description
As a holy priest main I actually liked losing the artifact ability because I'm a very forgetful person and I always forgot to apply it to people while I was using my other heals
Every single spec: "The artifact ability's gone which makes the spec worse."
This is a worrying theme.
Pack Mentality Media to be honest there was that much power put into the artifact this was always going to happen. I think the game in general has slowed down once the xpac starts rolling I think it'll be ok it's just that were used to the artifact now.
Pack Mentality Media I don't think survival hunters are worried about losing their artifact at all
For all you Disc priests, does Rapture apply to shields already on your party or only to new shields? That is, do you Rapture and then spam shields around, or do you spam shields and then Rapture. Shadow Word: Death should not be a talent.
The dev who said it was too complex to have that AND baseline mind sear needs to stop sniffing paint.
It's so complex to push a button that starts glowing when the target is ripe for the spell! :D
I have never tried a healing spec before and I'm glad I did. Currently maining discipline.

Thanks, I really do appreciate these videos.
I have been playing spriest since I started playing WoW 2 years ago. I enjoyed it a lot in Legion, and it makes me sad how changed my main spec, but I'll still play it
I cannot even imagine how hard bellular must be working to pump these out in time lol. Respect
I assume you're gonna make a new review for each class, at level 120, with azerite neck traits included in the equation?
I tried Shadow on the Beta and thought it was horrible. But then the pre-patch came around and I am oddly ok with the changes. I just wish they would bring back mop or cata shadow priest.
I was full prideful shadow priest in cata lol omg was it fun
So for shadow do you think that someone that wasn't spoiled to legion shadow might still enjoy shadow as it stands now?
small mistake ; symbol of hope is now baseline wich is a big utility up for H priest. you forgot to mention it in your baseline changes.
My main was Shadow. I was going to buy the game and come back to play, but after seeing this... lets just say: thank you for saving me money.
Blizzard when do we get the Level 110 talent tier?
The way to fix Shadow Priest is bring back Vampiric Embrace as a normal dot you apply on every mob. Get rid of Shadow Form and just have it be Void form. transition music is a tad too loud imo, but great video, I'm rollin a priest now :)
Additional tip: The 12min monster CD for holy has around 6-8min CD if you heal the whole time.
Am I the only one who hates Divine Star? I always felt like it doesn’t do anything.
I dislike it aswell. It feels klunky and weak.
It's great for leveling!
Disc is back WOO
Maybe nuking it from orbit was the only way to be sure.
I never wanted my play style to be dictated by a cd (in this case, void form and surrender to madness).
I played legion beta and never bought the xpac. That was not my shadow priest. I'm looking forward to seeing what 8.1 brings.
I come from the future. 8.1 brought ZERO fixes.

Woah. Seeing a Tauren Priest felt wrong on so many levels.
Bellular is a content machine!
I find it irritating that Discipline is meant to DPS to heal, but has a less interesting DPS rotation than Holy.
TerminalVerbosity No?
Discipline has Smite, Pain, Penance and Nova (without talents). Its got no reset procs, no stacking anything and its one actual proc is an uninteractive damage buff.
Holy has Smite, Holy Fire, Holy Nova and Chastise. Fire gives you a stacking DoT to play with and Smite reduces the cooldown of Chastise and can reset the cooldown on Fire.

@@nicolaisb2 Also hpriest have an insane amount of massive healing. But disc has an unique playstyle (like fw monks)

Yeahhh priest finally!! Shadow is not in a good spot but disc is really good for pvp dps leveling! Holy is holy always gets the job done!
yeah shadow.p is my 2nd most played class so really hoping they improve the spec soon

I actually loved the old voidform mechanic in dungeons :)
mana burn : (
Russell Crown what are High level keys in your opinion? 20+ as a spriest is not possible to pug, no one in their right mindset would invite a Spriest instead of a mage or a lock IF it is a clothie you want! Spriest dosnt even have decent survivability in its toolkit anymore! Dispersion is nerfed to a point where its 20% dmg reduction from being useless!!
Oscar Gällman Yes but what does the survivability have to do with voidform in dungeons?
I never pug high keys and I do 20+ keys yes.
SW:Death being a talent is a terrible choice. Blizz should stop doing that.
I personally think Shadow priest would be an easy fix level 100 Talent Rose should be devouring plague should be void form and should be Clarity of power that would allow the priests to decide which of the three main historical Shadow archetypes they would like to play balance the game then around that
Wow another video? :D
Pally and Priest in 1 day Props Bell!
Curt S Thanks for the advice! :D
Akita Anima I also suggest finding a good UI/add on setup. Having those in line really saves the day.
is there anyone not collaborating with Bel?
Old Bell back :)
What was the point of the stat squish if we are hitting for millions by endgame alll over again? at least thats what i see in the video and he is definitely in Zandalar
I think they should just make it linear progression. Why make damage scale exponentially? They should scale up linear instead.
I liked shadow priest in legion but I actually like it better now.
Went from DK main since Wrath to newly Lightforged Draenei Priest for BfA Super excited. Holy and Disc look great! 8.1 Shadow Changes are needed, don't want to wait for that. Oh well. Can't win them all.
Could you make the transitions between segments a bit less ear splitting?
i really wanna be loyal to my Spriest but man playing any other class sounds really good right about now
Hot Take: I never played shadow before the changes but I actually really like it…
How? It is horrible. I thought Unholy was ruinedin BfA but then I played Shadow Priest and holy shit it sucks major ass.
