Thank you for an amazing, well crafted, high production quality and informative production. Great work! I shelved my DISC in Legion. I hope this helps me get my Discy groove back. Thanks again.
**UPDATE** as some of you pointed out to me, there were a few things I didn't go into detail with thoroughly, and I apologize for that! I sat down together with Mend - Healer and guide writer over at www.icy-veins.com for some more information, tips and tricks! If you would like to follow Mend, be sure to do so over at twitter.com/Discover11284 , and if you want to go more in-depth with this guide, be sure to check out the link below: docs.google.com/document/d/1hwvxl1UCuGEEz1FSKCHyhomhqylavQe-xif4maJBz6c/edit?usp=sharing
Great vid, I'm returning from lichking! Been a while since I played. Started fresh. Disc is super fun. But not easy. Will be following you closely on my journey! Keep them coming!
I just started my first priest and i went disc and im currently only at lvl 44 and im loving the way. It heals and its so much fun to play!! Not having no idea how to heal with a priest but now i figured out my self. I stacked crit and then hast but after this video ill start to go hast heavy and then crit!
I recently changed to Disci spec from the Shadow. I really find it fun even though in some situations I find it hard to keep my group up. Guess I’ll just have to keep practicing!
You probably dont care but does someone know a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Abel Kairo Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Only question I have is with divine star over halo, if you can get enough people stacked divine star can massively out heal and out dps halo since both its out going and returning paths trigger the damage and healing effect basically doubling the tooltip on a 15s cd rather than a 40 and it has no cast time
Could you do a focused segment just on Shadow Mend? When it can go right. When it can go wrong. How to be flexible with it. That sort of thing? It feels like current available info on a UA-cam format are kind of glossing over it. 😬
It's wierd when I play Disc. the numbers look great, but i dont feel like im healing that much. Also, do you think a direct healing healing build will be viable with mastery?
Great question! Actually the only reason is because my ElvUI is set up slightly differently on the Beta client. I didn't take the time to organize anything, and as this footage is from the beta, my UI looks a bit less structured. This will change once BFA is live! :)
This would be an alright BASIC beginners guide, but I’ve main Disc at Cutting Edge level for awhile now and this guide has some mistakes. Castigation should be almost never used and Schism is the go to talent unless ToF is needed for high end Prog and PtW is not worth the talent at all due to it doing almost no extra dmg. You should check out the Class discord’s before making your guides.
I dont get it... tanks often die on simple trash packs even if i spam flash heal/shadow mend (bfa mythic 7+ and above), how do u keep them alive if u heal only with atonement?
In m+ I frequenty direct heal the tank with penance, combined with mindbender and shadow mend. During early legion I had the same issue as now, with both holy and disc. The ratio of DPS & heal output/health will go up again similar to Legion, meaning topping tanks get's easier
I think especially in raids it's important to not try and keep shield up. What I see a lot is people reapply shields as they fall off instead of reapplying when atonement falls off. That's the main thing i see on discs with mana issues.
I think disc plays worse now. Penance when used on enemy target it heals for far less, the damage is fine. But when you use it to heal, even taking the talented off heal it's garbage still. You're better off using it for damage. And smite basically does the same out put just a little slower. Power word shield is so little despite being able to spam it, you almost ha e to double cast it on the tank to make it worth while or use rapture. It's just spammy and sub par to how it played. I haven't looked at the azurite gear yet, but blizzards design philosophy has been trash with making certain classes or specs need certain pieces of gear to play well instead of them playing well naturally and gear/bonuses on gear improving that. So many classes feel like they have holes in them that only certain pieces of gear can fill.

Great videos, great info, well put together. I like the format and style, even the intro. Thanks.

Hello Angelo. Thank you for this amazing guide for disco especially for talents :)
Great video, you get a new subscriber :)
Great vid, I'm returning from lichking! Been a while since I played. Started fresh. Disc is super fun. But not easy. Will be following you closely on my journey!
Keep them coming!
I was so hype for this video and I love every second of it. Thanks Angelo ~
I really enjoyed ur guide. Nice work. U just go a new sub.
I just started my first priest and i went disc and im currently only at lvl 44 and im loving the way. It heals and its so much fun to play!! Not having no idea how to heal with a priest but now i figured out my self. I stacked crit and then hast but after this video ill start to go hast heavy and then crit!
SO helpful! subscribed and awaiting more!
Thank you, easy to understand guide, esp since I haven't played disc since MoP.
love the videos my dude thanks for the help
Now all we need is Divine Aegis back
I recently changed to Disci spec from the Shadow. I really find it fun even though in some situations I find it hard to keep my group up. Guess I’ll just have to keep practicing!

@Terrell Kristopher Instablaster =)

@Abel Kairo it worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass :D
@Terrell Kristopher You are welcome :)

what addon are you using for the enemy hp bars?
Could you do a focused segment just on Shadow Mend? When it can go right. When it can go wrong. How to be flexible with it. That sort of thing? It feels like current available info on a UA-cam format are kind of glossing over it. 😬
Btw the description says this is a shadow priest guide.
Hi, does mastery: grace increase also the healing from the atonement transfer? Or only direct heal?
Do you have videos for specific mythic dungeons?
It's wierd when I play Disc. the numbers look great, but i dont feel like im healing that much. Also, do you think a direct healing healing build will be viable with mastery?
Wouldn't you just go for Holy Priest in that case?
Never focus on direct heals with disc
How do you get rid of the player frames just above where your chat box is? Since you have vuhdo just takes up more space
Good video.
I miss Clarity of Will. I wish they'd bring it back as a talent.
Okay, but does Lenience stack from multiple disc priests in a raid?
Bubblebuddy even if it did you would only ever want 1 disc priest in a raid
why did you reorder you keybinds from your most recent UI video? just to have them more organized?
Great question! Actually the only reason is because my ElvUI is set up slightly differently on the Beta client. I didn't take the time to organize anything, and as this footage is from the beta, my UI looks a bit less structured. This will change once BFA is live! :)
so do you like the order they are on live better? then? Just thought it would a muscle memory thing.

is your other youtube channel "runforthecube"?
In higher keys im more of a fan of Shadow Covenant. I dont like my aoe heal being tied to penance being off CD
Great video but the talent part is unfollowable
yep just watched that, trying to learn my priest
Are you gonna do a holy guide too?
What's the grid-like addon? Grid or something else ?
It looks like he was using ElvUI, which uses Grid for it's raid frames.
Contrition seems bit meh when I try it. I’ll try again.
Its for fights like eonar and imonar bridge phase. Fights where something is not readily available to dps.
15:50
happens to me all the time (well not in that very exact situation but you get my point)
i had no idea the idea behind disc was to do dmg to heal. that sounds really cool and intriguing to me.
Is it easy to lvl a disc priest through quests as a hybrid spec?
Absolutely ... you can pull many mobs together and kill them with your dots, nova /smite
I dont get it... tanks often die on simple trash packs even if i spam flash heal/shadow mend (bfa mythic 7+ and above), how do u keep them alive if u heal only with atonement?

Mastery feels pretty terrible because it only benefits from double application of atonement or using shadow mend.
dudewhateverish it benefits atonement healing as well, it’s been discussed in the HowToPriest discord lol
Do you have an addon video?

Hello Angelo , may i ask if you can share or Vuhdoo Profile ?
I was the 10,000 Subscriber!
Try playing Disc low level WITHOUT an overlay , it SUCKS and is not fun AT ALL
some mistakes regarding certain things but overall good guide so ty
Coldartz care to elaborate?
Biggest con? Priest have the worst class mount! But for real power word shield will drain your mana quick
It was so much better when it had more feathers and didn't make an annoying bird noise constantly.
I think especially in raids it's important to not try and keep shield up. What I see a lot is people reapply shields as they fall off instead of reapplying when atonement falls off. That's the main thing i see on discs with mana issues.

Otherwise great content, but your intro etc. music is very obnoxious.
