HOT ROD is proud to celebrate 30 years of its famed HOT ROD Power Tour with a five-city tour that runs through the Southeast/Midwest regions of the United States. The tour dates are June 10 through June 14, and the journey begins at the historic Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Over 6,000 cars and trucks are expected, and the cruise will conclude five days later in Indianapolis.
The official Day 1 is June 10 at Beech Bend Raceway Park, and it will be a busy day of activities. The sprawling facility will not only host the car show, but the dragstrip will be alive with action, and enthusiasts can shred their tires on an autocross course in the oval. The tour will then head south on Day 2 to Nashville Superspeedway, where an autocross course will also be set up. Don't worry-the MotorTrend Event team has worked hard to organize a better ingress/egress for this year's event. - Авто та транспорт
Have fun on Power Tour Lucky!
Love that Galaxy Wagon!
Thanks! Will do!
Ex over the road truck driver here; I used to do that to EVERY truck I had - whether I owned the truck or drove a company one. People were always asking how much did the custom carpet cost. I used to do the cutting and install myself, as well as adding sound deadening. That was well over 20 years ago, too.
I really like that car!
What drive line do you have in it? I was thinking of the Coyote and 10 speed for some reason.
Love the wagon. Like your style , as always!
Love me a long roof. Beautiful car man!
Love seeing your progress on this.
👍Cool ride 🇺🇸
The wagon just keeps getting better! I love it!
Good morning Lucky
Good morning
Wish I was there this year.
Enjoy it all.
Loving the Ford content!
👍🏁
Safe travels Lucky!! Power tour is right in my back yard this year but unfortunately I can't go. Have fun!
Thank you
Windows up,, cold A/C,, like a " Galaxy on a cloud,, 😅 Thanks Lucky, have fun,!
Thank you!
"Those hose aint loyal" gotta love this guy , sorry couldnt be at powertour this year.
A V8 and ice cold AC, what more could anybody ask? Enjoy the Power Tour!
Should be fun.
Other than missing my family and friends that still live in Orange County, CA. I miss being able to buy my stuff from locally owned shops and the swap meets. Where I live now they all tell me the same thing We can order it for you. Well Geeze Louise I can do that myself. 6=8.
I'm a big fan of those cars. Hope you have a great trip!
One small tip, (you probably already know this,) if you find the front suspension is a bit jerky at high speed in sweeping corners, lower your front tire air pressure. It wont totally make up for the complete lack of castor but it will numb some of the idiosyncrasies.
Someday, I’ll make the Powertour
Proper A pillar right there. That AC flex 👍
Dude!!! Great tech tip!!! I'm going tomorrow to get my floor mats made!!!!✌️
Love that wagon!!
Wagons are cool, very nice sir.
👊🏻
New DD speed shop shirt!!!
Looking forward to seeing your updates on the trip.
Hell yeah my brother
The wagon is so...SET...UP! Its ballin. Get going hell ya.
Have big fun Lucky! You've earned it!😎
Thanks! 😃
Hopefully, I will get to meet you on Power Tour! Will you be bringing any merch? Just FYI, slap some Boomat above your head along the roof. Cools the vehicle & quiets it down immensely! Safe travels!!👍
Come say hello!
@@luckysgarageshow You can count on it!👍
So right about installation errors with air ride. Every modern semi tractor and nearly all the trailers have air ride and have for many years. They run hundreds of thousands of miles with little maintenance to the air ride system because they're installed thoughtfully.
Wagons make great power tour cars 👍🏻🙌🏼👊🏼 wish I had that much storage room in Angie’s 39 Chevy 😂😂😂. See ya in a few days, if you out walking around on Monday stop by our booth and say Hi 👋🙌🏼👍🏻👊🏼🔧🔧🔧
Come say hi!
@@luckysgarageshow we definitely will 🙌🏼👍🏻
The Galaxie Wagon is out of this world. Love these videos, when you share the creative ideas like the floor mats. Plus this helps local shops out also, Awesome!!
Back in mid 1970’s had a Triumph GT6 hatchback. The transmission tunnel would get so hot in summer in SE Texas. Wish I had DEI back then
If you are worried about carbon monoxide, you can cover over a lot of holes in the firewall and some on the floor if you get aluminum faced duct tape and cover them up with that. It isn't regular duct tape, it has that aluminum face on it so will make small holes airtight and will dramatically reduce airflow through larger holes. It will also reduce sound transmission into the car, especially through the firewall. It comes in 2.5 and 3 inch wide rolls and you can usually get it at home centers.
Keeps getting better and better!!!
When running wheel studs (like you have in the front) that barely protrude past the wheel I've had the misfortune of the lug nuts breaking off at less than 50 ft-lbs. I recommend longer wheel studs.
Have fun Lucky
Thank you!!!!
everything you've done to the wagon is great but what im looking forward to most is when you blow it apart and do up the frame and fix the floors. have fun on power tour! Ill be with you in spirit.
Great year! I had a bolt come loose on my rear control arm the other day on my 78 El Camino that made it very wobbly! She is all good now! I live close to Louisville and will be staying at home Wednesday night! BTW we are having a after tour party Wednesday night at the good times garage AKA Jaxwax on Fern valley road in Louisville. You are more than welcome to attend!
Sweet Ride
sweet ride dude. excited to see some vids from power tour
More to come!
I remember back in the 80 's Lucky my friend had a Ford pinto , we got some carpet remnants and took the seats out and laid it in there , it was the nicest thing about the car lol ! The good old days ! Peace and Love , fast easy way to make the vehicle look aesthetically better , sound dampener too !
Cool wagon Lucky. See ya on power tour
Come say hi!
@@luckysgarageshow looking forward to meeting you
Have fun on Powertour.
Thank you
Hey lucky! I have a 64 belair wagon with an LS! I live 25 mins from Woodward, when you come up for roadkill nights you should bring your wagon so I can beat you in a roll race on Woodward 😂😂😂
Have fun and be safe
🏁💪🏼
Wish i could go with y'all. Have fun Mr Lucky. That carpet idea is great. Thank y'all.
perfect temperature from AC
Lucky, I'm pretty sure I have an extra set of reproduction chrome gage bezels/lenses that I had ordered for my 63 convertible but the package was believed to be lost. After the replacement order was sent it turned out the original package had been misdelivered to another house in the neighborhood and was found. If you would like them for the wagon please let me know.
this is me
I wish I could learn from you
Love the wagon, can you remind me of the name of the heat shield you like? Would love to find a similar wagon to daily, great taste!!
Was that " sticks" mcgann as the camera man?
Boom mat on the roof for a little extra insulation and quiet till a headliner can be made?
🏁🏁🏁👊🏻
Also, Is that a nail in the Captain Side front tire?
Did you fab those style motor mounts to get it lower to the ground? I noticed the motor is kinda hi off of the k member
Are the front wheel studs long enough for the trip ?
Good enough for now 🤣
lugnuts look like they have 1 turn of threads.
i wanted to purchase that 66 plymouth fury wagon .
can you build me a 65 d-500 w/slant 6 4 spd 2 bl carb sm turbo ?
i'd buy that plymouth fury beach wagon if it were for sale .
So much time and cash for the power train, zero on the bodywork. Be proud of your ride, paint it.
Should of cut a mat for the back Lucky.
And boommat the ceiling…
What engine do you have in there? It sounds really good. Is it an FE by any chance. It’s so smooth. But it has good power.
Coyote
How much was it to make those carpet floor mats, Lucky?
Not much
A little bit at a time..
