- In this video I will show you how to make a multi-bootable USB flash drive with Ventoy. This will allow you to boot multiple different ISO files from one USB. No longer will you need a separate USB to install different versions of Windows or Linux distributions!

Please note: user can't partition the drive before installing Ventoy, partitions will be deleted during the installation UNLESS, user select the partition option from within Ventoy installation file (3rd option in the drop down list)... One more thing, windows iso files are larger than 4Gb means we can't use FAT32 format option, we have to select either NTFS or exFAT in Ventoy menu before installing the software

i have win 10 on my PC. Created Ventoy bootbale and put Win 10 ISO. When i restarted , I selected Boot option UEFI: Store and Go PMAP, Partition 2. Got error : Verification failed (0K1A) Security Violation

Hello HTG. I couldn't figure out how to ask a question about a subject that has NOTHING to do with this vid. My apologies. Here's the question: I see you have an ROC computer. I just bought one. Is there any way to turn off the interior lighting permanently? I have my reasons for wanting them off. BTW, Love your vids, very informational and to the point. Thanks!
In the BIOS you can go to the advanced tab > ROG Effects and turn off Onboad LED. If the lighting is coming from RGB fans or other components, you'll probably need to turn it off in a software like Asus Aura Sync.
I'm a newbie here. If we checked ✔️ the secure boot support from the Ventoy, can we operate using this Pendrive on pc that does not have secure boot enabled?

Ya well, I created that Ventoy USB. I put several operating systems on it. Now, I don't know if it was the Ventoy or something else, but I could not install my Zorin Linux distro with it. The Win 10 distro was erased but then the Linux distro would not boot to the hard disk, so I ended up using it on the USB stick until I could re-install Win 10 again. It said something about partitions which is above my pay grade anyway. So I will stick with Win 10 even when they stop the support for it. I'm 78 years old now so Win 10 will probably outlast me for sure. I even miss Win 7. I just hate the monopoly Microsoft has!
Rufus have an option to remove TPM 2.0 check, does ventoy have that feature?

When ventoy usb stick was plugged in and restart nothing happen,it got stuck at a windows page that says press delete for setup something, but when pressed nothing happen.
No matter what I do I can't get my PC to recognize ventoy as a bootable device, it doesnt show up in the boot options, and when I navigate to it in the bios setup menu it just shows up as: USB - NO MEDIA - NAND

It will overwrite your current install unless you create and install it to a different partition or drive.

So in this video you are creating multiboot OS on MBR partition. A separate USB is needed for GPT partition right?
selecting mbr in the ventoy setup allows you to use ventoy on computers that support mbr or uefi. as long as you choose to boot your usb in uefi mode in the boot menu (you can see at 5:12 it says uefi next to my usb) then it will install the gpt version of your os.
Most GPT system supports the deprecated MBR as an extra option. So chances are that even GPT systems will work on the MBR formatted drive

Hi, the ISO file does not keep the installed extensions or something else, after rebooting it again everything is gone. Is there any sulution for that?
I think it's because it's indeed an ISO-file, even if it's a "bootable live environment", it's not like a properly installed operating-system. For that, you need to use one OS and install it with its own dedicated installer, which in turn will also use the "entire" drive, or at least a partition on it. - In a way, Ventoy is the main OS in this case.
Dose not work on windows 7. Trying to move iso from computer to usb and all I get is windows has stopped working....

It will not boot if you use it in a computer with a secure boot is turned on in the bios settings.
is it ok if we add stuff that are not iso files , stuff that are like .exe or .pdf so like can we use it like a normal usb too at the same time?
Yep, that's fine. You can put any file on the usb without any issues.

I believe so. Just make sure that the drive is formatted for MBR or GPT depending on which one you are installing.
Is it possible to use this bootable USB to run windows from the USB without installing to a hard disk or SSD in the computer?
It is possible. You will need to install a VHD Boot Plugin for Ventoy and install Windows on a virtual hard disk file (this could probably be done in a Virtual Machine), then put the VHD file on the USB and boot to it. However the best and easiest way to boot a portable Windows install off of a USB would be with a program called WinToUSB and I have a video on it here: ua-cam.com/video/1HuqWGUp0ME/v-deo.html
hi I am try to make my usb multibootable problem I can't after I am installing ventoy to my usb and paste iso images of tails and Kali linux from their own websites, my hp laptop says "Verification failed (AX1A) security violatin" can anyone help me? or am I lacking something

Love Ventoy but its a pain to switch from windows to linux. windows isos dont boot off of the default ventoy install.

Ubuntu was just an example for the video.
Ubuntu, was never installed to my SSD. I was just testing the full is running off of the ventoy usb.

I'm on the "tested iso page" you just skipped on what to press to actually download some of these. I cnt seem to find the download button.
The ventoy website doesn't provide the ISO images to download. It just tells you ones that work. You need to download the ISO for the OS you want to put on the USB form their website. For example Microsoft's website to get the Windows 10 ISO or the Ubuntu website for the Ubuntu ISO.
Great video. I successfully installed ventoy onto my USB with no problem. I just finished building a gaming rig and ready to install the Windows OS. I cannot find any videos on installing windows from the Ventoy USB stick to a newly built PC. Can you help me?
Just add a Windows 11 iso image from Microsoft onto the ventoy where all the other iso images are.
Boot and select Install Windows, select your iso.
Ventoy when in GPT format boots up windows installer cd fine. I didn’t test BIOS formatted ventoy as Windows seeks out and destroys bootable USBs on older non UEFI machines
You don't need to format the usb stick before installing Ventoy, it asks you if you want to format it before it installs the program. It also warns you that everything will be erased on the stick

Geeze… THAT took me hours on my PC… I’m thinking a 2012 systemboard gives me plenty of time to think. However after over a hundred boots I could use a SATA III board.

I can't seem to download the ISO files and didn't see where you got them from once I was on the ISO tab. What am I doing wrong?
The ISO files are downloaded from the website of the OS you want to put on your ventoy USB. So for example, ubuntu.com if you want to download Ubuntu or microsoft.com wifi you want to download Windows.

As with making a regular bootable USB, you would download the ISO file from the OS' website. So Ubuntu.com is you want the ISO file for Ubuntu or Microsoft.com if you want the ISO file for Windows 11...
