@@DillyDallyLoveYou're welcome! It took me like 2 hours, lol. 😂🤘🏻
I only know 25 of those.
@@brandonkoncyk1842 2 hours dude are you acting like it took that long or do you type slow.
There are two types of Alice in Chains fans. The one that he described, and the one that says that Layne is the best singer of all time and worships the bands level of harmony. I know that because I’m the second one 😂
Also you dont listen to anything else the band released after Layne passed away.
I don't care who you are or whatever type of music you're into, but watch 'Love, Hate, Love' live at the Moore, then try to talk any shit about Layne Staley. He was amazing. I named my cat Layne. And Chris, too. Both of those guys not being around just guts me. And Prince, too, dammit.
I'm both in some moments of the year 🤣🤣🤣
I'm not even a big of a fan of AIC and even I think Layne is one of the best vocalists ever.
Sabaton is my favourite band of all time because I'm such a massive history nerd. I don't have as much time to go into the woods and play with sticks anymore like I used to which is a shame because I kinda miss it 😅
you should look into 1914, all wwi based lyrics
same, i carry this stereotype as a medal
@sjoerdderks4731 wear it like armour and no one can hurt you with it! - Tyrion Lannister
as a Sabaton fan I can confirm that you are 100% right
Nah, as a Sabaton fan I prefer to use my stick as an MG-34, and gun down the trees while LARPing as a German soldier invading Poland.
I don't pretend a stick is a sword I have a Collection of swords
im also a sabaton fan, but im more of a history buff kind that like to learn about people I never knew existed then go out and fight trees.
That's not true. We are also the kind of people who plan our whole vacations around what kind of historical battlefields are nearby....and we do tour those sites in period appropriate garb. If you're going to roast us, get it right.
My boyfriend is a huge Sabaton fan. And if he just vanished one day, yeah, I'd probably find him in the woods with a stick.
Hell, I'd probably join him. Sounds way better than this work shit I'm doing every day
As a huge Gojira fan... yes.
I have nothing more to add, just yes.
Honestly thought the roast was gonna have something to do with conservationism
Read conservationism as "conservatism" and was so confused for like five seconds
Inter whale noises
As a Mayhem fan, you're right. We don't talk about the murder.
We meme about it :)
OR... We never shut up about it
@@Dmantag EXACTLY

The way I know very little about metal and yet somehow still understand the types of musicians these bands are just from your descriptions alone is very impressive
If you are planning to do a part 3, you should include We butter the bread with butter, XAVLEG, Fit for an autopsy and Sigh.
Thanks so much for the recommendations!
Also, emit traicotomy and gaylord. Along with powerbomb 5000,Sodom, Ufomammut,Satan,Crypt sermon and Xenomorphic contamination
@@TheMetalTempestYT you should also include Invent Animate for the simple fact thats been my favorite band for a few years now. Motionless in White, Trivium, Erra, Currents, Bullet for my Valentine, and Avenged Sevenfold have been my favorites at a certain point as well and I laughed my ass off on their roasts.
Underøath and 30 seconds to Mars would be great as well, they were my first favorite bands like 15 years ago.
@@TheMetalTempestYT Some other bands could be Neurosis, Acid Bath, Boris, Chat Pile, Down and High on Fire.
@@TheMetalTempestYT another good band to go for is Haken, Caligulas Horse and Avatar
For part 3 I'd like to see your take on Powerwolf, Korpiklaani, or Rammstein. I'm unsure if Buckethead should qualify but would be interesting nonetheless. I had a bunch more but I had to cross them off the list as the video kept going since you got them all.
Korpiklaani is awesome
I believe he did Rammstein in the first one
Rammstein was already in the other one. Yes I do think I’m hot shit thank you lol and I actually can sing their songs fluently
@@damonandersen7494 Korpiklanni IS awesome
@@AKayfabe Now that you mention it, you're right.
You should do Polaris, Wage War, Of Mice and Men, Fit For a King, Beartooth, Phinehas, or The Browning. Artists I'm a fan of and would be entertaining to see.
That was a fun watch, got a few of my favourites in this one!
Some of my suggestions for a part 3 - Ulcerate, Conjurer, Night Verses, Misery Signals, Shai Hulud, Counterparts, Cult of Luna, Ne Obliviscaris, Rolo Tommasi, Glassjaw, Poison the Well

Loved the inclusion of Dir En Grey. Honestly, a pretty fair read, Kyo is one of the most bizarre vocalists imaginable, but somehow it just kinda works for me. If you end up doing another, would love to hear your roast of Holy Fawn.
This is brilliant! If you make Part 3, I would love to hear your takes on either Lacuna Coil, The Pretty Reckless, Kittie, Within Temptation, Halestorm, Flyleaf, Coal Chamber or The Birthday Massacre 🤘
YES, all of these and also Carnifex
Yeah, actually, I am pretty shocked Lacuna Coil and Kittie didn't get in. Or Ill Nino, Mushroomhead, or Hatebreed.
Wasn't Lacuna Coil in The first one? I'd swear they were.
Coal chamber: you’re either a goth man or woman with extreme amounts of hormones and energy drinks
And HIM
As a diehard Disturbed fan, I’m not gonna lie, you went easy on us lol
I mean the part he’s talking about isn’t even about physical abuse from a parent. “Mommy” is society. I think David said that somewhere in an interview
Keep this series going. I think it's hilarious even when you talk about bands I like.
Definitely will! Thanks so much!
@@TheMetalTempestYT sir how do ye do these videos? Are ye searching on groups; or do ye guys actually listen to ALL of these bands to actually know what they are all about? If so, how can ye ever take the time fer it?
Please keep this series going, its hilarious. I would love to see how you'd roast some more thrash bands in the next list (Overkill, Municipal Waste, Nuclear Assault, etc.)
Exodus and Vio-lence too 🤘⚔️
I still listen to Nuclear Assault nearly every day. I kind of have always called them Angry Environmentalism
Might as well throw Onslaught in as well, for good measure.
Linkin park was so popular and your description was so accurate that it kind of adds to the picture of the shape of the world we live in that i have.
This series is WAY too accurate to not be funny! 🤣In all seriousness though, thanks for making these! They're absolutely hilarious and I can't wait for part 3 if you're doing one! Here are some bands as well I think would be fun if you wanted:
Underoath, August Burns Red, Falling In Reverse, In This Moment, Obituary, Fear Factory, Papa Roach, Shadow Of Intent, Exodus, Darko US, Vildjharta, The Devil Wears Prada, Stray From The Path, Oceano, Nekrogoblikon, Rings of Saturn, Static-X, Demon Hunter, Volbeat, Crystal Lake, Wage War, TesseracT, Holding Absence, Tallah, Sanguisugabogg, Signs Of The Swarm, HEALTH, Paledusk, Brojob, and Berried Alive!
Will include as many of these as possible in the upcoming part three!
@@TheMetalTempestYT Hell yeah! Looking forward to it!
That was amazing. If you make part 3, please talk about bands like Kamelot, Seven Spires, Epica, Blackbriar.
As a Bullet For My Valentine fan I can't even argue... But may I add that I was a My Chemical Romance fan and Bullet For My Valentine scratched the same itch in my metalcore phase
You mean mallcore phase
I still consider them one of my favorite post-2000 bands, along with As I Lay Dying and Disturbed.
However, ever since I started studying metal sub-genres, and learning that they were Metalcore, I’ve been checking into other shit.
Still not sorry I collected their guitar tab books. I even gave a “Valentine’s Day” gift to two females at work, suggesting that they check out their songs “The Last Fight” and “Dignity” on UA-cam. One of them actually did.
These are awesome! Some more I'd love to see: Eluveitie, Imminence, Powerwolf, Kamelot, Avatar, Unleash the Archers, Falling in Reverse, and Epica
Haha I did ask for Motorhead on the last vid. I mean no one will ever be as cool as Lemmy so your critics are valid. Great vid thanks for including Motorhead
My soul needs a third video where you include Kamelot, Conception, Avantasia, Powerwolf and The Gazette.
Also, Pentakill just for the laughs.
Great video, btw, I just found them and have been laughing for half an hour.
I think three of these are pretty easy. Conception is the band Kamelot fans go to listen to after Roy Khan quit and thought the Karevik era sounded "bad." You probably also hate Seventh Wonder simply because of Karevik.
Powerwolf is the other exception band, along with Sabaton, for power metal for people who don't like power metal. Also known as power metal for Americans.
The Gazette is just, you fucking hate Dir En Grey with every bone in your body believing they copied off of your favorite band.
Pentakill is probably one of two fans: The biggest of fans of the game League of Legends, or the biggest fans of everything League of Legends except the game.
@@kaelanmcalpine2011 OMG i love it. They're basically every person I've seen online
And for me personally, I live Seventh Wonder because I think it sounds like Tommy is being more of himself
Do a Power/Symphonic Metal genre. You got Sabaton (although I didn't really get the roast) and Blind Guardian, but there's a lot more. Helloween, Gamma Ray, Avantasia, Hammerfall, Rhapsody/Rhapsody of Fire, Powerwolf, Edguy, Sonata Arctica, Battle Beast, Beast in Black, Majesty, Crystal Eyes, Wind Rose, Temperance, Within Temptation, Visions of Atlantis.
I would also add Sirenia, Epica, Krypteria, Xandria, Elysion, Down of Destiny, Lacuna Coil and Unleash the Archers to this list. Yousei Teikoku also has a few Gothic/Symphonic songs, but Spotify categorizes it as J-pop for some cryptic reasons.
Plus some softer bands with female cover: Amaranthe, Volturian and maybe Delain.
Kamelot.
This is gold. Thank you for part 2! ♥
Dude, I was one of those requesting TBDM....you did not disappoint! My fav of this vid! Great content man!
Thank you, really enjoyed the video! Some recommendations: Bloodred Hourglass, The Unguided, Scar Symmetry, Ensiferum, Soilwork, Demon Hunter, Disarmonia Mundi, Kalmah, Mors Principium Est, Sonic Syndicate, Dead by April, The Raven Age.
Sorry, if any of these were included in the previous two videos!
I FUCKING LOVE DEMON HUNTER
Yo this is so good. I recommend for next time doing some more of the Aussie metal scene. Polaris, Alpha Wolf, Parkway Drive, Northlane, The Amity Affliction, Thy Art Is Murder and Karnivool just to name a few.
Hell yeah, lots of great names here that deserve to be included in something like this. Thank you!
@@TheMetalTempestYT thank you man, can’t wait to see part 3

Ne Obliviscaris!
What was said about Suicide Silence is 100% true...Mitch is sorely missed. I got to meet him and got his autograph before he died at the Mayhem Festival. He was a fucking demon live, absolutely amazing.

I would love to see Black Tongue, Hatebreed, Otep and Bleeding Through featured in this.

I think the only one of my definitive favorites that hasn't been covered yet is Kamelot. Though I'm sure I could make a list that spans multiple videos, even if many of these aren't necessarily bands I like much.
Eluveitie, Tyr, Enslaved, Agalloch, Iced Earth, Epica, Mercenary, Haken, Vildhjarta, Powerwolf, Sonata Arctica, Savatage, Borealis, Voivod, Overkill, Symphony X, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Obscura, Gorguts, Humanity's Last Breath, Wagakki Band, Evanescence, Andromeda (Sw), Battle Beast, Beast In Black, Rhapsody of Fire, Dark Tranquility, At The Gates, Ayreon, SepticFlesh, Thrice, Sullivan King, PhaseOne (not sure if the last two count), Tarot, Nekrogoblikon, Gloryhammer, Cellar Darling, Twilight Force, Parkway Drive, X Japan, Versailles, Jupiter, Lovebites, Maximum The Hormone, Galneryus, Dexcore, Black Veil Brides, Lacrimosa, Angra, Shaman, Viper, Hibria, Mago De Oz, Fate Gear, Devin Townsend, Angelmaker, All That Remains, The Red Chord, Northlane, Finntroll, Stratovarius, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Edguy, Avantasia, The Halo Effect, Moonspell, Moonsorrow, Panopticon, Agalloch, Origin, Demilich, Hour of Penance, A Day to Remember, Falling In Reverse, Powerman 5000, Rob Zombie, Crystal Lake, Coldrain, Within Temptation, Within Destruction, Aborted, Swallow The Sun, Woods of Ypres, Daisuke Ishikawa, Blood Stain Child, Band-Maid, Evergrey, HammerFall, Machinae Supremacy, Powerglove, Sirenia, The Birthday Massacre, The Agonist, Despised Icon, Cryptopsy, Midnight Odyssey, Jute Gyte, Gnaw Their Tongues, Dark Moor, Devourment, Shai Hulud, Tesseract, Plini, Skyharbor, Pentakill, Dethklok, (Insert glam band outside of the ones mentioned and Black Veil Brides), Deathgaze, Candlemass, Saint Vitus, Oomph!, Jesu, Carach Angren, Mick Gordon, Tenacious D
Heyo you forgot an L in Dark Tranquillity (nooo, I’m not a fanboy 🙃)
Stratovarius definitely needs more attention in the states
which borealis
Symphony X still gets me. I would love to hear a roast though. I want to hear one of Accept too, but then he would roast Judas Priest and that is ... unacceptable.
Someone else who knows Rhapsody (Of Fire) and X-Japan! Maximum The Hormone will literally be about people only knowing about them because of Death Note... And by "Daisuke Ishikawa" did you actually mean Daisuke Ishiwatari (producer, director, and songwriter/performer for all of Guilty Gear)?
Keep doing this please, kind of a fun way to recommend bands. It's meant to be a roast but if it matches up with what I like it sounds like a good idea to check it out. Found Currents on this one, pretty cool find.
Ice Nine Kills fan here. Your description is insanely accurate. Except I don't have a Negan replica bat, and I have way more than just the Halloween series on DVD 😅😅 but Spencer deserves mad respect for his lyricism, being able to fill INK songs with references to the movies (and books if we're talking about Every Trick In The Book) and still making it sound great is a feat in of itself.
I actually laughed my ass off watching these videos, man! If you're gonna to do a part 3, i recommend include Tallah (personally, my favorite metal band)
Seen 'em live and they crack me up as is, so I'd love that LOL. Will do!
Skeletonwitch, Necros Christos, Zebulon Pike, and Strapping Young Lad should make an appearance in the next one. Personally, the "Immolation" one made me laugh the most because them, Suffocation, and Vader were my go-to examples for people wanting to hear traditional death metal.
Oh my lord yes, how is Devin Townsend not on these yet lmao
Detox hits like a hammer
Oof, you got me with In Flames XD That was a thorough roast my guy! Suggestions for another part: Insomnium, Ov Sulfur, Mors Principium Est, Crown Magnetar, Septicflesh, Vola, Periphery (sorry if you already included any of these, you covered a lot!)
Really enjoyed this! Surprised about all the niche bands I never expected to see included. If I could make a suggestion how about Avatar?
YAAAAAS! I came here to say the same!
A lot of these hit me in the feels and put me in a weird state or sadness when I realize you're right 😂😂
Great video! I'd love to hear your take on Coroner, Imperial Triumphant, and Clown Core
If you're planning part 3 Pagans Mind would be a welcome addition, love those guys. Every song feels like im getting the cosmic truth yelled at me by a homeless man on speed.

*Video Request:* could you post a video explaining the myriad variety of genres and sub-genres with this same level of snark? I ask for two reasons - 1) The last time I paid attention to "the metal scene" - it had way fewer designations, so I'd genuinely like to watch such a video to get up to date on what bands or styles are now considered what by current standards. 2) I think it'd be fucking hilarious.
I'm an early Millennial - when I was big into music (hang outs, live band performances, inde clubs, etc) there was essentially rock, hard rock, metal, black metal, death metal, thrash, punk, nu, industrial, goth, emo, prog, symphonic and saga (grunge had basically already ran it's course by then) - and more or less anything else was considered like a hybrid or crossover: but now there seems to be about 20 more sub-genre designations I'd never heard of outside of "What YOUR Favorite Metal Band Says About You" parts 1 and 2. So I quite sincerely would like to see a full org chart break down to see where things have gone. May also be able to use it as a guide to finding new stuff I hadn't heard before.
Could even turn it into a whole series of vids - taking the time to examine [genre/sub-genre X] and it's sound/style by proffering up, and roasting, multiple bands, or specific albums of bands, which align with said specific [genre/sub-genre X]. That way - the viewer could get some laughs listening to you bbq'ing sacred cows - but also simultaneously gaining a better understanding of each genre/sub-genre in the process.
Example - you do a video on what constitutes "Nu metal" and what that typically sounds like and various examples of bands which are considered Nu metal, or albums from other groups where they ventured into the genre - and at some point you take full opportunity to cook Fred Durst over the coals for being the living embodiment of Douchebag Steve. That would be informative - and - entertaining.
Just a request - if you could give it some consideration: I'd certainly appreciate it.
^this is an excellent idea. The prog/metalcore/djent genre has an insane amount of overlap and can be difficult to elaborate on. "The work, which becomes a new genre itself, will be called Co- *insert metal subgenre*
The Black Dahlia Murder make good albums and they're chill af. R.I.P. Trevor
For a part 3 could you do Bloodbath, Varials, and Sevendust? Much appreciated.
Thank you for the video! If there will be another one, could you please do Madmans esprit? Galneryus and Versailles?
"You will never be even a quarter of the badass that Lemmy was". True, but neither will anyone else :-)
the cob one hurt me so bad
Ok, so High on Fire, Dark Funeral, Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stoneage, Ensiferum, Vader.
Subbed. These are great.
I had so much fun watching this I love getting roasted lol, Id love it if you could incorporate chat pile, birds in row, portrayal of guilt and oathbreaker!!
I would be cool if you did Nile and Bolt Thrower in the next one, these could use some more death metal bands.
Type O Negative may not be my favourite metal band, but that hit close to home man.
My metal journey started with Vildhjarta. Can you include them in next video? I don't think you've done them already. Btw amazing vid keep it up!
Great! If you like to do a part 3 how about sanguisugabogg, acid bath, dying wish and cryptopsy?
Sabaton is on point, I do enjoy fighting trees with sticks
Please feature more power metal bands in the next one
archspire fan here, you are fully correct
also can we get some Distant slander in the next part?
Another great video
15:42 While screaming: THEN THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVED!!!
Thanks for including COB.
I can feel the resentment coming from this comment
He really just said CoB is boring but gave Trevor a "too soon" pass
This is great. I don’t have a favorite band, but I love seeing bands that I listen to often. I would add Bolt Thrower and Suicidal Tendencies to the next one
That Sunn dig hit hard haha. You are gonna have 15 parts to this series. There are just too many bands. Might have to start breaking the videos down to specific sub-genres
