I really credit Lorna, especially Will, for me getting into deathcore in the first place. I've loved metal since I was in middle school, but always shied away from bands that only did harsh vocals. As someone with classical training in vocals and a couple of instruments, I couldn't find the instrumentality that was in metal core in death core until Lorna (with Will) came around. Its a pity he dealt with many difficult issues and because we are to far from a point of view to really juge what happened. I just watched the pain remains trilogy, my first deathcore. And your vid was recommended after it. Im so happy i hit play, you are amazing, thank you.
Deathcore just hit the nerves of people generally. And seeing that Will Ramos is completely « cool » and not shy of medias makes him really likeable. At the end of the day, they have a lot of exposure, yes. But I won’t say they’re overrated or overplayed. They’re really not that much popular. For the long time they’ve existed they’re still an up and coming band.
First of all great video! The whole band is amazing I've seen them live last year and they are so amazing, they make it seem effortless. Will deserves all the credit, I can do some crazy vocals myself and its not at all a problem for me, but when you're screaming along to a song like sun eater you realize how bloody tight that mans vocals are, just no time to breathe, no room for error, just scream. I toured for a long time with hardcore and metal core bands and I'll tell you man I've never seen a group of guys so f****** talented in their current line up. Literally one of the hardest bands to cover For guitarist drummer vocalist and bass player, that usually never happens
Bro 😂 I’m so happy you compared the EP to Deep Blue PWD I thought I was alone with that. Crazy how many people don’t know Deep Blue is the same kind of album as Pain Remains just different genres obviously.
I saw Chelsea Grin this past Friday for the first time. I’ve been a fan since Alex was the lead singer. It’s cool to see how much Tom’s voice has just gotten better. Adam and Austin don’t get enough credit for being absolute talented beasts. Will gets hate, but I definitely think he’s the perfect fit. Tom and Will are both insanely amazing live. I wish I could of seen suicide silence with Mitch, RIP.
Thanks for this video man! One of my best friends showed me suicide silence for the first time in 2007 when I was only 13 and just started playing guitar and I can't even begin to tell you about how much me and all my instrument playing friends were all inspired by them and wanted to sound just like them. I was already trying to start a band trying to play the genre but unfortunately I would come to realize just how rare of an occurrence it is for the exact match of chemistry in a bands sound and performance and dedication and talent as well. I still play and write music of the genre all the time and still can't find anyone that's just right to form a band with hahaha. It's tough out there!! But suicide silence made me realize where my heart was in music and I will always remember where I came from and how I got this far
Thank you for doing this man, I've been diving into Deathcore and Metalcore music for the past 3 months.. and Lorna Shore opened a whole new world of emotions and thrillers. As a Black / Death Melodic Metal fan since 1995, I always rejected listening to Metalcore so I still have SO MANY GREAT BANDS to catch up with.
Great video! So much stuff I didn’t know. Lorna Shore is definitely one of my favorite bands right now. Pain Remains 1 killed all my prejudices against the genre and I’m glad it did cause so far I haven’t stopped digging deeper
This video was so well done. I love Tom with Chelsea Grin now, and I am obsessed with Will and Lorna. I also dig his old band Monuments of a Memory. They are highly underrated🤘🏾🤘🏾🔥.
Bro, we played with a lot of the guys this dude makes videos on. Including King Conquer. My brother's band was A dank Season. Or ADS for short. I wrote a song on the only album ADS released called-Battery on a leo- The album ended up being named the same as that song. I would go on stage and perform it with the actual singer Mike at every show. If you wver came out to one of our shows. You would probably remember the song. I was blown away it became one of the crowds favorite songs. I had never been onstage before that. And it was humbling, to say the least. I miss those days🤘
They’ve really knocked it out of the park with vocalist talent. I do prefer Will though simply because he’s a Swiss Army knife of different vocal tones.
He just pisses me off. No pun intended. Check ALL info on the latest Immortal D chaos. I mean all sources, not just CJ's. His video seems to be.. hmm, a lie?
Hey! First of all: great video... Lorna Shore is my all time favourite Deathcore band so it's always great to see/hear something about them. As per the video, I don't know if somebody already talked about it but Connor Deffley (rhythm guitarist since late Maleficium) left the band after Darkest Spawn was released (second single out of Immortal, or This is Hell even), which led Adam to a huge doubt regarding the album itself. Fortunately Andrew O'Connor stepped up to the rhythm guitar/synth role and well, he shreds.
Just saw a post on Djent Shitposting on facebook asking where they ranked the LS Immortal album. I'd have to put it first right in front of Flesh Coffin. CJ's vocals just hit way too hard.
Forever my favourite band, thank you for this video! Also huge respect for acknowledging and appreciating Cj's work within Lorna's catalogue. It sucks what happened but people forget how talented he really is, and Immortal is a staple in deathcore. Im glad all 3 vocalists are thriving in their current bands now, hopefully Immortal Disfigurement sorts out their album soon cus im dying to hear it hahaha
CJ brought the slam influences that I greatly miss from current Lorna Shore. Also an overall darker tone. The new stuff is fine, but it’s much too upbeat and flighty for my taste
As much as I love new era lorna I gotta agree I really hope they tone down the movie soundtrack esque instrumentals and bring back the flesh coffin and immortal type stuff for the next album. I want more evil and less majestic
And here I am from the other side and want more majestic sounds 😂 I Just love it and it fits so perfect when they sing about azrael and icarus. But I’m from the will ramos era and never liked deathcore before Lorna. I grew up with Slipknot, In Flames, Bmth and architects. But maybe they’ll do both 🤷♂️😉
This video was great. Very informative and kept my attention the entire time. I agree that each person in the band is a top tier musician who has mastered their craft. Will is such a sweetheart and he really is so genuine. He always has a smile on his face and always has something kind to say. He’s incredibly talented and successful, but he’s 100% humble and down to earth. He also gives great hugs! When I met him, he made me feel like we had been friends for years. You won’t encounter many people like that in life, famous or not. He impressed me with his talent and charisma, but he made a life long fan with his heart of gold. I’m so excited for what comes next for Lorna Shore.
I love videos like this because I thought I have heard all of Lorna Shore’s material but then I clicked on this video and found out about their first ever EP Triumph so thank you man
This is all so unexpected I'm glad you made it. They just hit my radar maybe a year or two ago I never realized they were touring with many of my favorites for years. The talent on display makes a lot more sense. Thanks again sir🫡🫡
amazing video man. Just saw them the other night they were RIDICULOUS. It was mostly pain remains but they did into the hell fire for the encore and a MASSIVE wall of death.
I'm late as hell but damn dude this video is awesome! even as an massive lorna shore fan nowdays I learned lot more about their past than I thought ever existed because I'm too lazy to search 😂 I knew they had history before will ramos joined band though can't lie I (unfortunately) heard from them first time finding to the hellfire 😂 I found out some stuff about them later with their last vocalist and what not but never thought they had this long history 😂 anyway love the video good job mate and thanks for making this ☺️
I saw Lorna for the first time in 2014 at a small venue in Howell, New Jersey. Now they’re playing Download Festival and on tour opening up for Gojira and Mastodon. Crazy
The thing is....In metal we have elitists and they love when bands are mostly unknown, broke etc. But when band becomes bigger then suddenly they hate them and of course saying that those bands are overrated LOL Same happened with Lorna Shore....when To The Hellfire came out everyone were praising them. But after 2-3 months I started to notice those elitists in comment sections.
Ahhh good ol Lorna meme machine Shore from the cat meme to the goblin that we have now and been listening to them since 2010. Toms era was insane, and i still find funny how in 2018 the whole change of vocalist happened, it was interesting because, Tom went to Chelsea grin, CJ went to Lorna and David Simonich from Improvidence ( which if I'm correct haven't found a singer or just quit playing music) went to Signs to the Swarm, amazing video lml.
I saw Lorna Shore to a crowd of like 15 ppl in like 2014 on a tour they did with Carnifex around the time they released Maleficium. I remember some of the members were playing on stage with sandals on 😂 crazy how far they’ve come in 10 years I also wonder what route they would’ve taken if Tom had stayed in the band. Bc all their work with him is perfection.
I saw them live last year, along with Gojira and Mastodon. Had only heard of them at the time but was immediately a fan after that. An insanely great live band!
Immortal is the album that got me back into Deathcore, what a monstrous record. While I really dislike CJ as a human being, that album is held very highly in my book, I loved the style and direction they went with the record. It’s so damn good.
Im not a Deathcore listener, but these guys are incredible. Yes its heavy, but the guys' talent and songwriting are seriously impressive. Wish them the best, they look like chill people too.
Killer video bro! Immortal is by far my favorite album from Lorna, true front to back masterpiece. Each singer brought their own style and all 3 are great, CJ being my personal favorite. Would love a dive into After the Burial or Carnifex down the road
This was such a great video about the history of the band. I never knew much about the early days, and I had no clue Tom was the initial frontman. The live performance they released not too long ago for the Pain Remains trilogy is an absolute masterpiece.
This is a great video! It seems a lot of hard work was put into this, much like the band! Lorna Shore are currently teasing a debut Australian tour and I am so hoping I can see them live later this year!!
Played with LS back in 2012 when they were a locally touring VFW/dive bar featured act, going show to show on Long Island - was actually the last show I ever played with my band. Turn out for us was bigger than the three guys that came for them but we all know that’s just how it is as a local band building up a following with your local friends and fam. Had a great time tho, I remember they being pretty cool, they actually came on time and played on time…unlike any of the times “Stray From The ‘Show” headlined a local show….pre-Drew York of course, when Stray from the path was a DEP Math-core band! (First two albums; Our Oceania and (insert second album title)
I’ve watched this band play local shows from their inception through all the drama they’ve been through regarding SOME former members it’s great to see them at the top, all great dudes
Excellent video man. I just randomly found this. Thanks to the algo gods. This was really cool to watch because I was there from the first ep. I used to cruise "blogspot" websites back in the day and download entire albums of stuff Id never heard. Or maybe I like a song or something. But usually the name, album art, and genre tag were the biggest factors lol. I remember seeing them with Tom once in Vegas and once in Seattle. both times they killed it. Glad to see them come so far and I absolutely agree Will is not overrated. Thats just a comment made by cringey gatekeepers for metal music.

I really wish I had found Lorna way back in the day. I would have loved their early stuff at the time it came out. I am glad I finally found their music last year though. Will and Austin are the main reasons their music grabbed me.
I found out about them by seeing them at christmas burns red.. Didnt think too much about them. Saw this video. Listened to Pain remains trilogy when he said to go listen to it. Fell down a rabbit hole. Now here again a month later i love lorna shore and listen to them daily.
Tom era LS is still by far my favorite. A little biased since I've been following them since 2010 because they were local to me in NJ. Not a fan of the CJ era and while I think the new stuff is good, it's not something I can listen to consistently. More of an occasional listen.

Same. Love the trilogy.
This video was so well done. I love Tom with Chelsea Grin now, and I am obsessed with Will and Lorna. I also dig his old band Monuments of a Memory. They are highly underrated🤘🏾🤘🏾🔥.
We need a Infant Annihilator history! Loved this one
On my list for sure
Bro, we played with a lot of the guys this dude makes videos on. Including King Conquer.
My brother's band was A dank Season. Or ADS for short. I wrote a song on the only album ADS released called-Battery on a leo- The album ended up being named the same as that song. I would go on stage and perform it with the actual singer Mike at every show. If you wver came out to one of our shows. You would probably remember the song. I was blown away it became one of the crowds favorite songs. I had never been onstage before that. And it was humbling, to say the least. I miss those days🤘
Cj is a different kind of animal. Dudes vocals are unreal.
They’ve really knocked it out of the park with vocalist talent. I do prefer Will though simply because he’s a Swiss Army knife of different vocal tones.
I consider Cj a pre runner to vocals like Alex terrible kinda
He just pisses me off. No pun intended. Check ALL info on the latest Immortal D chaos. I mean all sources, not just CJ's. His video seems to be.. hmm, a lie?
@@LeperMessiah2yeah you don’t know what you’re talking about so how about stop talking
Will Ramos is better.
I'm beyond stoked that I'm finally getting to see Lorna Shore this Saturday 👏🏻 with Slaughter To Prevail and Knocked Loose!
It’s insane how talented all these dudes are.
Just saw a post on Djent Shitposting on facebook asking where they ranked the LS Immortal album. I'd have to put it first right in front of Flesh Coffin. CJ's vocals just hit way too hard.
Fantastic, very well made video! Thanks for the extensive run down! I knew the gist of this, but it was great to have it clearly run through.
Thanks man ! Glad you enjoyed :)
@@xtheyan 🙂
And here I am from the other side and want more majestic sounds 😂
I Just love it and it fits so perfect when they sing about azrael and icarus. But I’m from the will ramos era and never liked deathcore before Lorna. I grew up with Slipknot, In Flames, Bmth and architects. But maybe they’ll do both 🤷♂️😉
He's also a terrible person
Love your style. Thank you for making this awesome story of Lorna Shore. Now I want to go out and get all of their albums. Subscribed!
I love videos like this because I thought I have heard all of Lorna Shore’s material but then I clicked on this video and found out about their first ever EP Triumph so thank you man
Hey man first video I saw from you! The video was very nice and even at 40 minutes it never felt boring. Good video man 🤘🏻
That's so cool , thanks man !!
Listened to this band over the past 15 years. Very proud of their accomplishments
I'm late as hell but damn dude this video is awesome! even as an massive lorna shore fan nowdays I learned lot more about their past than I thought ever existed because I'm too lazy to search 😂 I knew they had history before will ramos joined band though can't lie I (unfortunately) heard from them first time finding to the hellfire 😂 I found out some stuff about them later with their last vocalist and what not but never thought they had this long history 😂 anyway love the video good job mate and thanks for making this ☺️
Hey !! You're not late man it's all good. Thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🤘🏻🔥
@@xtheyan definitely did 🤘 got yourself new subscriber and will definitely watch more content. good video and very well made 🤘
@@AzraelMC thank you , really means a lot and I appreciate you taking the time !! 🤘🏻
I saw Lorna for the first time in 2014 at a small venue in Howell, New Jersey. Now they’re playing Download Festival and on tour opening up for Gojira and Mastodon. Crazy
It's always great when you witness a band "Making it" you know
The thing is....In metal we have elitists and they love when bands are mostly unknown, broke etc. But when band becomes bigger then suddenly they hate them and of course saying that those bands are overrated LOL Same happened with Lorna Shore....when To The Hellfire came out everyone were praising them. But after 2-3 months I started to notice those elitists in comment sections.
I remember when Triumph released. That breakdown rift sounded so much like Attila that we wrote a song so similar just for that part lmaoooo
Sick video, Godmaker is still one of my favourite deathcore songs :)
A classic
Justice well served, fantastic historical insight and stoked you respectfully called out the haters….. keep it up bruh always watching these!!!!
Thank you !!
I’m seeing them in October, can’t wait. They seriously are deathcore perfected. 10/10 band nothing about them is overrated. Trust🖤
Great video, man. I'm into more traditional metal but this close to me to the beauty of deathcore. Great channel. Congrats!
Honestly just loving this channel. Was hoping you’d cover Lorna, and you delivered
Thank you ! And yes I've watch this live performance many times
Godmaker was got me into and was blessed and saw them perform songs off Maleficium like 5 or so times and they killed it every time 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Excellent video man. Thats just a comment made by cringey gatekeepers for metal music.
ahh i miss the blogspot album browsing days hahah
Thanks for this. Honestly one of my favorite bands of all time.
Side note: those rifs in the background are fuckin dope, is this an actual track? 🤔
thanks man ! Yep the links are in the description
Damn we need great vocals on these tracks. Get on it man!
September 24th, 2024...Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida. It's my first Lorna Shore concert. He has incredible voice control. If Alex the Terrible and Will Ramos did a duet, the world would shake. I can't wait to see Will Ramos and the Lorna Shore band perform in a few day days from now at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida...🤘🤘🤘
My dude I absolutely try and preach about them and how great they are regularly
I like this dudes vibe and how he talks about the music genuinely enjoys it I feel instantly subscribed to his channel 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Saw them live recently, and it was absolutely a spiritual experience. Would absolutely recommend them.
You should be a journalist. Awesome video. This is the first video I watched from you, but think you get a million subs if you keep putting out bangers like this.
I love CJ a LOT but man people should listen to Will’s covers of the entire Immortal album. Magical. Love each version of the band for sure, so much great content to keep on repeat. Tom in CG kills it and Darko of course 🤤 CJ doing his THING. All is well
This was an awesome video. Took me about 9 hours to listen. I listened to it during my free time at work today. Great listen. Might not matter much, but you’ve earned a follower in me
It does matter a lot to me actually! The fact that my content was a part of your day and that you enjoyed it enough to comment and follow my channel just made my day so thank you 🙏🏻
Yo your videos are always well put together and researched. Props man. I had no idea they started metalcore!
@@J1Nflo thank you 🙏🏻
I really wish I had found Lorna way back in the day. I would have loved their early stuff at the time it came out. I am glad I finally found their music last year though. Will and Austin are the main reasons their music grabbed me.
10/10 video love it. Lorna is amazing, they e been my favorite band since Immortal came out.
Thank you !! ☺️
I found out about them by seeing them at christmas burns red.. Didnt think too much about them. Saw this video. Listened to Pain remains trilogy when he said to go listen to it. Fell down a rabbit hole. Now here again a month later i love lorna shore and listen to them daily.
I just wanted to check in but finished the video with all my attention :D well done!
Godmaker was my introduction to them back then...probably still my favorite. The most black metal influenced song they have
thx for doing this,, really enjoyed it and became subscriber, suprised how much i like Tom Barber he was a beast :)
Thank you so much!
I just found your channel today and I'm hooked. Can you do a video on August Burns Red
thank you ! And yes, one of my favorite bands
I used to stop listening when bands changed members until Will Ramos changed my life 🤘🏼
Just found your channel, loving these band history videos!
thank you! Glad you enjoyed :)
You should do a video essay about Methwitch if you haven't considered it yet! Excellent video here as always.
Fuck I love Methwitch. Dude is crazy skilled
@@gibberishface He oozes talent. Not for everyone of course but for me for sure.
Take me back to the Flesh Coffin days🥲
Tom era LS is still by far my favorite. A little biased since I've been following them since 2010 because they were local to me in NJ. Not a fan of the CJ era and while I think the new stuff is good, it's not something I can listen to consistently. More of an occasional listen.
Lorna Shore is one of those bands that hits me spiritually. My inner body cringes in a good way. Im not sure if I will be able to handle it when I see them Oct 15th.
Amazing as always, Yan! 🤘
thanks man!!
I was actually a bigger fan of Tom Barber era Lorna Shore but Will is also an absolutely incredible vocalist. Great vid like always, dude! 🤘😎🤘
Thank you man, I really appreciate your constant support , means a lot
excellent job !!
nice video, thanks for the info of the past eras. i love lorna shore!!!!
Glad you enjoyed! :)
Amazing video! I had so much fun watching it. And I can't wait for you to cover infant annihilator, they have an interesting backstory as well 👀
Thank you! And yes they are on my list ;)
