Awesome season...no words...so many twists and turns...just can't get enough...
This show for me is the only show in my 50 year history of television watching (I'm 51 now) lol that has 1. Made me want to have more of a relationship with the almighty 2. Let's you see, feel and understand it from the opposite view point 3. Has me feeling more emotions in all seasons then any other show I've ever watched in my life and finally 4. Has no better actors the in Claire Danes and Mandy Pantinkin!

twolf401 Try streaming Suits you will love the bond between Harvey and Mike and the cast in general is stellar they have the best chemistry and it shows. It’s also one of the few good series that was on TV . I mean let’s face it -age of HBO and Netflix 😉

@@limorshakar8952 the only thing im mad about is im so late everyones talking about 9 and im in season 3 and its so much i wanna know.. She's unstable she almost killed her baby who does that.. And this on the hills of dropping that bomb on a wedding.. She's done some great things.. But omg i dont know if id be ok with this girl being station chief.. She's a great field and intel officer.. And i guess if we're talking about job performance can we really bring up personal at home issues? The guy who was gonna make Brody vp told him " f**k your family" its all about the mission everything else doesn't matter.
Idk if Mike likes that the flight recorder was recovered. We'll see in the upcoming episodes !

@@spidert6665 Nevermind, it was one of those news updates I have on Google that stated so but I never got the chance to fully read it so I assumed at first glance (because I was headed to work) that it had been renewed. I'm saddened! Homeland is definitely one of the best series that I've seen in production. I'm saddened they killed off Max as well!

How can Mike's orders override Saul's in the previous episode?
Trip Top Cause Saul technically doesn’t have a role since the president died in the helicopter crash. Mike’s position as station manager/chief hasn’t changed.

0:01 I love this opening shot of Mike, Alan, and Jenna in Kabul station. In my head I’m calling them the Three Stooges-which is accurate!-but when they turn on Saul in a pack like that I get The Plastics vibes.
The way they’ve lined up-Mike, Alan, and Jenna-by pecking order in the initial shot of this scene is interesting. We (the audience) should be on their side, shouldn’t we? They aren’t the enemy and are just trying to track down a compromised, rogue agent that may have knowledge about the assassination of the President, right? But we aren’t on their side, we know too much. As the camera pans around them, we see them from Saul’s perspective, lined up against him and standing in between him and the “front of the room” position he once (and very recently) held.
In the eighth season, CIA Kabul station-chief Mike Dunne (Cliff Chamberlain) has been sounding alarms about Carrie since her arrival in town.
And in the seventh episode Dunne said no one could be sure Carrie hadn’t “pulled a Kim Philby.” (The reference is to a British agent who defected to the Soviet Union during the Cold War.)

We can say that Saul was one of the best-built characters in history - alongside Carrie, Brody, Quinn and Dar Adal... It would be possible to clarify the following doubts:
- Would you like to see Homeland reveal how the CIA explained Brody in Iran and his death to the American press?
- Clearly, Javadi's ability to receive credit for Brody's capture helped his cause in Iran, but did the US government reveal Brody's role in Akbari's murder?
- Was your name cleared for the CIA attack? I'd love to know what you think.
- Another loose thread: Paul Franklin and the murder of the "real" CIA bomber. He ended up doing that scene ... why ??
Carrie was publicly humiliated, beaten, doped, shot and put her life on the line countless times without hesitation, just to make others see Brody as she saw him ... and she succeeded. Abu Nazir, the CIA, Jessica and the show's own audience, no one came close to seeing Brody with the clarity Carrie has always seen. Carrie has always read Brody like no one else.
Ah, Carrie's dialogue with Javadi was incredible, it will be one of the most memorable moments in the series, without a doubt!
“And what you wanted, which was for everyone to see what you see in him. That happened. Everyone sees it through your eyes now ... ”
- How did Carrie see Brody? and how did the US come to see this? It's the world?
The 3rd season did not correspond to the 1st and 2nd as it should be.
Compared to most seasons it was weak, as the plot and plot issues that were overlooked or addressed briefly stood out in season 3. There was no "hunting" in Brody's scenes earlier in the season to make it look like he really was desired NOS.
Where Roya Hammad and his terrorist partner Mister X... They were?
We never received an explanation for the events surrounding how Brody's car was moved and his involvement, only what we got was the "real" author of the bomb at the CIA in a hotel that we must believe to be a super leap that changed the script.
For such an investment in storytelling around Brody's family over the past 3 seasons, for him to just disappear the way he did, it was a waste of time - to make Dana's story worse, it was shallow. And all those scenes about Mike and Brody's wife continually in love with each other, and just ending up in season three were useless - and Brody's son disappeared.
What about Brody's marine friends who thought he was part of the conspiracy? And Quinn's underutilization throughout the season after being instrumental in the beginning of the second season's premiere.
All positive points, they should have made the homeland a show of this 3rd season and address every possible plot!
Claire Danes and Damian Lewis gave us, in Damian’s words, “two broken-winged birds sort of hobbling and circling around each other” in Carrie and Brody in such a compelling way that even though it really ended in tears, it was a GREAT RIDE as long as it lasted. And if you miss these two as much as we do, you may want to re-live the LOVE with Carrie and Brody: Was It Love? YES.
Homeland had a sensible ending, closed all of Carrie's stories, while continuing the ongoing story of America's and Russia's rivalry. The series ends, but does not end, only better than that was seeing all these years incredible performances by Davis, Damian Lewis, Rupert Friend and Mandy Patinkin ...

That wouldn't surprise me at all but that will fuck Carrie's life up forever as the Americans will say she's apart of that plot, which we know she isn't. Carrie deeply associating herself with him is really, really bad and making her look like a traitor to her own country. Either way Carrie will either end in jail for a long time or she ends up dead.
I don’t think someone being a spy makes them unhelpful. I think there is a mutual respect between them. Imo. It’s coming full circle though with the traitor plot line.
I don’t know...Russia assassinating the POTUS is a rather bold move and an act of war that will costs millions of lives.
