I just started watching this series last month. I'm on season 3 and it's kind of "meh" now. I LOVED season 1 (binged multiple episodes), but seasons 2 now 3 seem off to me. I was hoping it would get back to that season 1 feel.
What, the ending of season 3 is one of the best season finales. Season 1 and 2 were so bogged down because Brody's annoying family. Season 4 episode 9 & 10 (There's Something Else Going On & 13 Hours in Islamabad), and season 5 episode 9 (The Litvinov Ruse) are some of the best episodes of the show. The season finale of season 7 (episodes 11 & 12: All In & Paean to the People) was absolutely fantastic too, my god. I just saw that season 8 has started now. WOO!

And it didn't get much better after it, because they kept repeating the exact same mechanism every next season. This show is like a document from a masochist's brain. Seriously. I don't remember any main plot of this show developing any other way than complete failure after season 3. It's like there was no use to guess what would happen anymore, you just knew. Not to mention completely forgetting or abandoning previous plots and characters or just plain ridiculousness and unbelievability of multiple plots. For me up to season 3 this show was really really good. After?... not so much. And I wasn't even a fan of Brody!

And it didn't get much better after it, because they kept repeating the exact same mechanism every next season. This show is like a document from a masochist's brain. Seriously. I don't remember any main plot of this show developing any other way than complete failure after season 3. It's like there was no use to guess what would happen anymore, you just knew. Not to mention completely forgetting or abandoning previous plots and characters or just plain ridiculousness and unbelievability of multiple plots. For me up to season 3 this show was really really good. After?... not so much. And I wasn't even a fan of Brody!
