only you can control the outcome of how you feel, no outside source can truly make one happy. it may temporarily relieve sadness but unless you find happiness within you wont be happy for long. you can have a dopamine rush which people often confuse happiness with. happiness shouldn't last all day everyday either. its perfectly normal for happiness to fade and you to feel just normal for the day . to be happy everyday forever is unrealistic. anxiety is the fear of what's to come it shouldn't be avoided with drugs or prescriptions. fear is the unknown only way to defeat fear is to understand the unknown
It's sad that there are many many people out there who don't know Devin. He should be President of the world.

Met Devin in NYC, nicest guy you could meet, super humble and down to earth, wish I could've gotten a picture with him but I was too shocked to meet my hero to think straight.
Andromeda met him a few times at gigs and they say never meet your heroes? Devin has been my hero for so long I was afraid to meet him but he is the most incredible man. People need to pick better heroes. Like you say, he is humble to the core. So thankful for everything. I asked him and the band to sign so much special edition stuff at the last gig, and they didn't care. They were so stoked for all the support. He even personally handed me a plectrum during the gig. So amazing honestly.
That smile on devs face when he compliments his album, clear indicator of someone whos truly passionate about his music, whilst not taking himself to seriously.

I did ask Devin a while back whether he listens to his own music after releasing it, and he said rarely.
This was fun.
Yeah, you can usually see when the interviewer and the person being interviewed start talking like just any two people in the streets.
For me, the best type of interview, but unfortunately most of the times people don't click and the interview remains rigid and formal.
I feel a lot of it is just Devin's personality. Hes just a very open and real guy, which is comes through very strongly in his music imo and is a lot of what I think many of his fans (myself included) love about him and his music.
Well he wasn't always that way believe it or not. Apparently he used to be this awkward guy that didn't like doing interviews and he was a batshit crazy guy also. On drugs, booze, etc.
(as evidenced by his early records) I kinda like how he's super chill these days. I'm not sure how well he'd be doing if he stayed in that place.
This is the perfect example of Devy. So in tune with the feely touchy, but still so joyful and playful

I consider it a huge failure on my part that I've only recently checked Devin's catalog out after hearing his name mentioned for years. He is the Notesmith I've been looking for since High School.
