Bungie has been experimenting with gamemodes and the special ammo economy, for a while in Trials. However, we weren't expecting any changes this week but they decided to just stealthily make some pretty significant changes to how Special Ammo is working. We will have to wait until the end of the week to see if it's a good or bad change. Enjoy!

I'm really excited for when the current iteration of Hunter is nerfed so we start seeing really cool stuff like blink, grapple, ascension hunters. I want my hunters jumping around breaking my ankles doing crazy awesome shit not sitting in a sea of radar pings, slows, and smokes.
And they nerfed strand hunter in every way possible including grapple, which is the better way of playing Hunters doing cool moves. I agree, and I’m sad
Ive played void hunter since d1 i have no idea why people don’t play it its easily the best class by miles (on console atleast)
@@joshuacrosby1074I also mained this until the final shape. Prismatic can do everything that class can besides going invis on dodge, but making a clone instead is way better imo since invis got nerfed heavily. If you still stayed completely hidden on radar while invis I think it would still be the best but without that it’s very lackluster imo
@@shaanmalhotra8369 Yeah it seems to me that prizm hunter is a lot like void except you get stylish hunter to proc all the damn time because every ability has a chance to put a different debuff on the opponent. I'd miss the void crouch radar except I already have it from knucklehead and now I can blink which void hunter only dreams about.

They had the formula in season 16, they literally just had to tune a couple exotics and that's it.
But no they went ahead with AE, Flinch changes, and a bunch of crazy changes since then.
Getting sniped through flinch was absolutely something they needed to work through.
When was Season 16?

I do enjoy casual pvp and I’m decent (1.5 kd) but I absolutely suck at trials and can’t seem to get better. It’s just full of the absolute sweatiest mfs they need to add a pool for ppl who have never been flawless.
Had that for a while but splitting the player base wasn't a good idea so they got rid of it

@@JungGun-x-they changed it a while ago, we had "flawless pool" for a long time which would split the player base between those already flawless and those not. They changed it because if it was too hard the first 2 days a lot people including streamers would wait for Sunday and farm non flawless pools. It also impacted que times somewhat so yeah, I still think flawless pool was a great idea
I will admit It was also iffy because it meant it was hard In both pools due to people just waiting
Playing 6s and 3v3 are completely different beasts. If you wanna get better at trials tmya just gotta keep playing trials or try and practice in comp. But fair warning, comp and trials play completely different too.
Why would they bring back the ammo boxes? It does nothing but encourage people just special ammo jousting the entire game. That was the ONE thing that made Trials bearable compared to every other mode
To prevent snowballing they could just create a system where consistent death rewards progress in the bar
A pity system would be quite nice, ngl. I've been in losing streaks and there's little you can do when you meet platoons of sweaty players.

Last 2 trials i reach the lighthouse with some effort but oh boy, this week i feel the pain in the matchmaking, even 2 hackers(one spinning like a bayblade with auto aim, the second one teleporting like absolutely crazy, you could see him on 3 places at the same time with one shot killing everybody) and some lagging people, only yesterday after many matchs I finally complete the trials
Special Ammo trasnmatt was the best change they did and now its gone.

I started destiny 2 like a week before warlords ruin came out, I already have 35 flawlesses and rocking a 1.1 kd in trials this episode, everyone complaining that trials is shit or unfair just don’t play enough, I haven’t had half of the meta weapons, still don’t have conditional, and it still hold my own, you just gotta practice, play SMART, best advice to a fellow new player is to get into gunfights! If you see a teammate shooting at someone, try to help, watch your radar, and learn when to disengage, it all takes practice but you can’t expect to hop into a PvP player base that’s been active for 10+ years and just expect to run lobbies, you have to PRACTICE

Ngl that complaint about titans with their diamond lance is kind of stupid. There isn't anything wrong with it, especially considering the fact that it's not only always done what it's done up to this point, but it has a longer cooldown in pvp per lance creation than pve like it properly should. Just because you lost a round to it by the sheer chance of a titan hitting between you and your teammate standing close to you does not warrant a nerf
It’s pretty silly how all a Titan as to do is punch something( that’s all they are good at anyway) and they get dropped a lance and tangle ball lol, they got a free melee kill then another free frozen kill😂

for the first time in 9 years I finally uninstalled this pile of garbage. Didn't buy final shape cuz I only play PvP. Whatever this iteration of it is, this isn't the game I love.

This is the way It is in ranked besides the fact in rank you spawn with one and then can pick up another, but it’s crazy to me Jake doesn’t play any ranked on off time of Trials
So not only do hunters have an exploding thread clone dodge, they also have an exotic that lets them see other players locations through walls?? In my jesse voice: "THEY CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THISS😫"
Bungie tries to entice the Hunters (Hunters are the most players by far), but IMO this isnt the way to entice them. They try to entice with OP weapons (still hunt) or strong exotics or strong subclass.
D2 needs a way to make Mobility more worth it, because Hunters suffer from having a deadweight stat they have to invest For a while a bandaid solution was Powerful Friends or Lightweight weapons, now its back to its fundamental problem. There are a ton of problems with Hunters & the game in general that have gone undressed as the years pass, a few new OP stuff (that will get nerfed after a while) wont change the trend.
Maybe D2 needs to die, since they cant ever balance it after so many years & Bungie focus on Marathon.
Or maybe they will balance D2/D2 will feel good ala D1's Age of Triumph when D1 was abandoned.
You always spawn with 1 if you kill someone with primary you get one if you die you go back to 1. It is not the greatest not horrible, but there is gonna be a ton of special.
Accidental wasnt it, the specual ammo thing, have they rolled out a fix yet? Even with extra trials XP, progress is soooooo slow. I'd play more (or at least be happier about it) if it wasnt so stingy compared to GM's etc, but even when im performing well (rarely) the drops, particularly engrams, are just too few

Forerunner is the best sniper in the game & if you get an early 2000s you can drive them till the wheels fall of.

Is it me or the only gun you get is just the summoner like after a match I’m always getting a summoner so I’m new to trials so is that the only gun I’m getting
Yes as that’s the weekly weapon sometimes you get lucky when you redeem engrams but after matches more often than not you’ll get xp reputation and a summoner roll
The boxes were a mistake I believe, it has been changed back to the meter randomly after I finished a game

I was enjoying the special ammo boxes, took like a half hour break then got back to the meter🥲
Not a fan of the mew system, and just rue abundance of special ammo, the meter system was the perfect balance, where double primamry and spcieal/primary both had pros and cons, special ammo being guaranteed every round hurts this game more than it helps
I enjoyed that system way more, now I find myself with a sniper/shotgun with 0 ammo 75% of the match, the bar will be 75% full and I’ll get bullets sometimes I don’t understand it. But so many times go to click my shotgun but shits been empty for the last 4 rounds it’s kinda silly
The best nerf for threaded spectre is if it attacks the hunter and kills him.

Sorry Jake… I can’t bring myself to even attempt trials. Double xp is not worth it. Weapon of this week and virtually ALL seasons aren’t worth it. Armor is not worth it. Nothing is worth it in that playlist for someone at my skill level. So why should I even attempt it? Honestly… There’s a reason my record for trials is simply no participation on ALL seasons…
I think you are bad at pvp because you don't try to improve. I say this because I once considered myself a pve-only player and now I enjoy playing pvp more than pve

@asdf-kq7ho it has nothing to do with being "good". D2 pvp has little to do with skill ever. Broken meta loadouts beats skill in this game always. That's why even the good players like frost don't shy from abusing whatever is the meta

It is insane, my matchmaking is WLWL because every other game there's 3 clone spammers completely invalidating any primary gameplay.
My match history looks as if I'm toggling a hack lol, 5kd 2kd 5kd 1kd 5kd 0.5kd 😂😂...got on a 3 win streak and quit cause i got stressed, haven't gotten stressed since Xmas in trials.
Disengage if they pop clone, find a different angle, or don’t get in their face close enough to let it hurt you, clone is so combat-able people blow it out of proportion, I feel like 80% of PvP players just don’t know how to play trials cuz yall say the craziest shit, sure the wombo combo is a little much but clone is fine where it’s at, it’s already been nerved, and there’s even an exotic to buff it up more and no one uses it,

You need to complete comp through Shaxx in the crucible you need to be at power 1960 matches won 7 and 50 opponents defeated to go into trials I have the quest and will not complete it, I am not a fan of PVP really I do like iron banner though

It's impossible for me to get past 1 win. The second I get a win I get get put against the sweatiest hackiest team and can't even win a round every time. I literally have no fun playing any of the multi-player. Oh and the crybaby toxic players are dumb.

Man. Im a warlock main at heart, but I feel forced to play Hunter to be competitive. I genuinely like the nerf idea you posed for threaded specter.
Edit: For those who haven't seen Jake's nerf idea; if you have threaded specter equipped, the Cooldown of your dodge is increased, much like titan wall with Bastion.
That combined with the functionality of Warlock turrets. Specifically how killing them activates kill perks like kill clip, rampage, adagio, etc.
Already the case, just not by enough.

@@Monkeyman-qt1sm you get rewarded special by killing opponents with primaries. The 1-1-1 special system promotes people rushing in every round with their one special round, just to die and respawn with more special. the system was always terrible for the sandbox. earning your special and keeping it on death is possibly the best system we can have. everyone has collective freedom to use the special they earned, you can either keep it, or use it.

I just felt like the crates were fair, I knew any given round we are all going to have special, now I’ll have 0 ammo for 2-3 rounds in a row while I’m getting slid shotgunned, imo the bar just promote steam rolls cuz now I have no special to counter the other teams special yk, with crates you are rewards for not burning through ammo and getting primary kills, and are rewarded for playing your life so you keep the ammo you’ve collected, and I also feel it gives green ammo less play, sure you have more ammo a majority of the time but so does everyone else, with the bar if you whiff a green shot you might as well just refresh the card now 🤣
@@Monkeyman-qt1sm it takes 1 kill for a brick, but i’m pretty sure every other primary kill after that drops a brick. No special drops special, and ability kills do not drop special, and neither do assists. However, bungie changed the ammo system midday, so what you see in the video is a different system than it is today. they took out all the crates, and added transmat. I hate transmat, because it promotes double primary usage! they can never balance it out perfectly without some people complaining, which i understand to a certain degree. The system now that they’re testing is transmat with primary kill drops. there will have to be more testing to see how this really works, but from what i’ve experienced, playing life with a primary, and than using all of your special seems to be what people have been doing, which needs to be tweaked. All in all, take out transmat, and only keep in special on every other primary kill, that seems to be the only balanced special system in this sandbox IMO.
@@kamuispams I agree I also hate transmat, I played a few games before they fixed the bug( added back transmat like this video) and it was way better imo, I’m currently debating double primary, or just like a either hoard or something because I don’t get enough ammo to actually run shotgun

4:11 okay that is a nice change. If you don't use it you keep it. I like that. I'm a huge forerunner user so having that ammo stack up is very nice. I know people don't really like using the frag but I've gotten nasty clean ups by using old halo frag bounce tricks. I might have to play some trials See if my time as a halo player paid off in Some Gun fights with forerunner and the BR. I'm actually looking forward to this. Maybe Jake will kick my ass in one of those matches. who knows?

I started the game just before warlords ruin came out and I’m now a 1.1 this episode and a 1.6 kd this week in trials, two flawless this week and 34 in total, yall have no excuse just practice, destiny 2 PvP has a massive skill gap and it can take sum getting over but once you do it’s very satisfying,

I stopped playing after they made me check Ada 1 for like a year and I finally got the mod I wanted. Then they got rid of all the mods and switched to new ones I flipped a shit and un-installed. And haven't been interested since they keep locking everything behind a 50$ dlc. Even if I reinstalled the game I'd need all the new dlcs (120$) just to get new abilities and play trials
I mean, if nothing else there's the new legacy collection that gets you everything except The Final Shape.
